Torpedomon é um lendário Digimon que faz parte das Armas-Empíreas, uma variante das Armas-Lendárias (Legend-Arms) presente no Mundo Digital: Rebuilt, que tem sua origem ligada àqueles que moldaram este Mundo Digital.

Por muito tempo considerado extinto, esse Digimon é tão antigo e raro que sua aparição é surpreendente até mesmo para grandes estudiosos da história desse mundo, por conta disso sua origem é envolta em inúmeros mistérios. Inicialmente acreditava-se que Torpedomon possuisse ligação com o Digimental da Fé, ou que até mesmo tivesse nascido de tal artefato, no entanto o reaparecimento recente dessa criatura trouxe consigo o conhecimento de que isso não passava de uma lenda, tal lenda aparentemente se deve ao código genético desse Digimon conter informações semelhantes ao de outra espécie igualmente antiga no Mundo Digital: Rebuilt.

Mesmo sendo de nível Criança, Torpedomon não é uma criatura para ser subestimada, sua personalidade infantil e enérgica esconde um lutador agressivo e implacável, que além de possuir uma velocidade surpreendente dentro e fora do mar, não deixa a desejar quando o assunto é força e principalmente resistência. Sua armadura natural o protege de altas pressões submarinas e também de grandes impactos como os que são causados por suas explosões, característica essa que se torna ainda mais visível em sua forma de arma, quando se torna a poderosa Torpedo/Gauntlet, uma manopla de combate capaz de aumentar a velocidade e resistência daqueles que são dignos de portá-la.

If the human eye can perceive roughly a million shades of colors than why can he only see in a monochromatic scale? Where everyone else see the world through the lens of red, green and blue, Ken sees black, white, and grey. Reminiscent of a distant passing wave. An endless sea that went on for miles out in the ocean with no end in sight.

Where did his vision go wrong? And why has it failed him? When did he lose the color spectrum everyone loved and coveted? How has he not noticed before now? Hollow with every step forward, the winter air harsh against the soft flesh of his cheek. No coat, no gloves; no hat or scarves. The perfect recipe for catching your death.
