good morning! finnick’s recovery after the sewers was hard in every single way possible. physically, mentally, emotionally… he ran through everything during it and on top of that he was juggling the idea of parenthood and what that meant and what it would look like. what arguably made it harder than anything was the lack of ability to cope and deal with things the way he had gotten so used to for a decade. so much of his previous means of dealing with stuff was physical, active, he busied himself and busied his mind. he got out to the beach, he could be alone. that wasn’t really an option in the capitol. as much as he could maybe wander the halls eventually on his own, he had no interest in really doing so. he’d do it maybe a couple of times but ultimately it didn’t ever bring him the relief he was hoping for. he couldn’t go on runs, and even then where would he go? he couldn’t wander when he was awake at night and unable to sleep, he couldn’t go busy himself in any kitchen or work on just about anything he wanted. the loss of his usual activities was a bigger hit to his recovery than anything else. he was really desperate to get back to those things and would rush a lot. he’d push through any exhaustion or pain and doctors constantly had to tell him to rest. there was only so much bed rest he could take though.

Love the thought of kiryu losing nishikiyamas lighter fucking instantly after he gave it to him. Like he leaves it in the car and nishiki is nice enough to re-gift it to him when they meet up again and then two weeks after that whole fiasco kiryu loses it again and nishiki just buys him those cheap packs of like fifty plastic lighters because this is why they cant have nice things and he hates (loves) him so much

so im reading The Sun Also Rises for english and im not very far in but i LOVE bret so much, she's exactly the flavour of girl i want to be. the way they describe her styling her hair in a masculine way, wearing the clothes of men she's been leading on and extorting, yet have a very pretty and almost royal/princess look to her actions and features that make her dance between the line of Girl and Girl? and the way she calls herself a "chap" whenever she's talking with jake plus the way she doesn't try to act courteous or proper around men and even openly hangs out with them at late hours drinking and talking about the war while also not putting other girls down and liking her femininity...
