it's too late to be thinking about this

my entire shifting journey for the past 6 years has been that i hate myself. no- i wouldn't say i hate myself. i hate the way i'm treated when i live as my true, authentic self.

and through countless realities i have changed and molded versions of me that are more palatable. worlds where people like the same things as me and think the same as me and believe i have meaningful things to say and i deserve to speak and live and breathe. i have spent 6 years affirming for realities where i am even just tolerated as i am. yearning for my "i like you very much. just as you are" mark darcy moment that i will never ever get here.

and it fucking kills me because i want it here more than anything. that's all i want. i never became a shifter for the adventure or the endless possibilities or anything like that. i became a shifter for acceptance. for love... i guess. or so that in fall 2019, i could walk into my eighth grade classroom and i wouldn't be bullied or ignored. that's it.

i would live here forever if i could. if i felt safe enough.

over the years, i have made at least 200 better cr's. shaping my life to feel comfortable and protected and appreciated. i haven't shifted yet, but i will never stop trying. why? because life as shown me over and over again over SIX YEARS that it does not get better. and i can never find true happiness here. living in this reality is a trap. filled with distractions and mildly fun things to delude me that i'm having a good time, but i'm not. and i never ever will.

i'm happy the shifting community is getting happier. people are leaving and coming back because they're happy here. and don't get me wrong, i'm so happy that everyone is so fucking happy. but i'm not. i am so incredibly, extremely not happy and i need to get out.

Thank you!! 1) I used to think it was not that novel of an idea to want to crochet every Pokemon, but I've come to believe that it is actually not as common as I'd hoped. I am always searching for other people doing the same thing, and there's less than 10 I've found but as far as I can tell none are as far along as me. But also finding stuff on the internet is harder than it used to be, so there could be so many more people out there crocheting all the Pokemon and I just can't find them! (Honestly, I can't even find me and my own Pokemon that I've definitely crocheted when I use more generic search terms and search results in general are low quality anyway) 2) Thanks!! This is kind of an on going project, but in a discord server I frequent theres a running gag where whenever somone says something really inappropriate, or for lack of a better term "horny" we respond with the painting of Joseph Smith Jr. rebuking the guards in the jailhouse at Liberty, MI (context at the end of the post) So for the first function of my first ever discord bot, known as "Mormo the Demon King" I have it be able to be invoked in order to rebuke anyone who says something of the sort. I am keeping it private for now, but I may reblog this later with a link to the python script I built it in if it is wanted. Plan on adding more to mormo later down the line. ---CONTEXT--- For those who don't know the story, at one point Joseph Smith Jr. was put into prison in Liberty Missouri for several charges that were later dropped, including banking fraud, conspiracy, and treason against the state. During this stay the guards, either naturally or as a way to attempt to bother the prophet started bragging about their involvement in various campaigns of harassment and terrorism against the displaced Mormons. One even mentioning the infamous Haun's Mill where 17 mormon residents of the community were killed, including several children. We dont know exactly what the jail guards said in their conversation but it was enough to allegedly compel Smith to stand up and confer a heavenly rebuke commanding that they either stop talking or die. Reportedly the guards were so astonished that they remained silent until the change of guard the next morning.

Stife and Discord are brother and sister!

I've got my hands on a bunch of Hercules script and I'm slowly going through them. Some are barely different from what we get as an end product and some have reworked dialog or whole missing scenes. I've just found a very interesting thing in an earlier script of Encounter (HTLJ 3.13). Strife is introduces as 'Nephew of Ares, brother of Discord'!

The scene between Nestor and Strife otherwise plays the same as the actual episode, just that the 'brother of Discord' part is removed. This is obviously because the audience haven't heard of Discord yet. She won't make an appearance until XWP 3.04 The Deliverer / HTLJ 4.06 Two Men and a Baby. Nearly a year later!

This must mean that the script for the Young Hercules Movie was underway at this point, because that was when the Discord character was first conceived. (In the very first concepts of that movie she was actually Ares' daughter instead of sister, but that didn't last long.)

So, here we have an updated family tree.

I know that fans often assume that Strife is Discord's son, but them being siblings makes so much more sense to me based on how they act towards each other.

I also find the description of Strife in the script funny. They obviously skipped the fluorescent hair (it came back for Deimos instead), and I have no idea what "talking with your shoulders in an adolescent, sexual way is" but I'm pretty sure the Strife we got doesn't do it xD Or maybe that's exactly what's he's trying to do and I just find it awkward and cringe in a very humorous way.
