Say hello to the newest addition to my doll collection the 2020 Little mermaid holiday doll.

I’ve been keeping my eye out for her for a while 2020 was such a crazy year that I didn’t know this doll existed until after she was sold out so I patiently waiting, and I finally found one for a price I could afford she came with all of her pieces minus one earring and the box but I don’t mind I don’t really have the space for dolls in boxes she even still had her factory curls 😆

And here is a comparison of all three of my little mermaid holiday dolls. Honestly, I love them all for different reasons they’re each just so unique but I love that the 2020 one looks like she’s actually dressed for winter.

2023 Classic Doll

I started collecting dolls 8 years ago, so I’ve chosen my favorite doll from every year. I’m not very good at maths so I thought I had to choose only eight dolls, but I ended up finding out that I had to choose nine.

2014. Maddie Hatter. She was my first doll as a collector. Buying her wasn’t easy for me for different reasons but I really wanted this doll.

2015. Bonita Femur. I remember when I saw her on a toys catalogue, I thought she had a gorgeus face. She’s a work of art.

2016. Kitty Cheshire. We didn’t have more Ever After High dolls here in Spain so I lost the hope of getting new characters, but suddenly I found her.

2017. Lagoona Blue. It was a bad year for doll collecting so I couldn’t find new Monster High dolls anymore, but sometimes I found older releases.

2018. Amanita Nightshade. In reality my favorite doll from this year was Devon D’Marco from Project Mc2, but I have her storaged and I didn’t want to search.

2019. Frankie Stein. I freaked out when I found some old Monster High dolls at an outlet store that I found by chance. It was a weird year for me...

2020. Moana. She came in a 11 pack from Disney Store, and to be honest, I bought the whole pack only for Moana.

2021. Alice. I really wanted to get her, but I wasn’t sure about the price, so I waited. One day I went to Disney Store and they only had 2, so I got one.

2022. Vault Queen. I choose her because I love her hair so much. I changed her hairstyle and I enjoyed the process.

Jakks Pacific vs Disney Store

New doll diorama is up! I went with the Christmas morning theme again, complete with this year's Target sweater ornaments (they're too cute to be called ugly LOL). Plus this is a great way to display some of my mini toys - almost all of them are from Mini Brands! :D Lots of kids in here, so I'm saying some of the adults are in another part of the house LOL

Two little mermaid holiday dolls from 10 years apart

so fun fact sense the little mermaid released in 1989 Ariel as had six holiday dolls

one by tyco in 1991

Four by Mattel in the years 1997

(<-this one was an Avon exclusive for the holiday stockings dolls )

2000 2013 & 2023

And one by the Disney store in 2020 (which I am excited to say I recently got my hands on )

They also had a Valentines Ariel doll in the year 1997, but she’s not considered a holiday doll because those usually refer to the ones released for Christmas
