More Custom Varian Doll

I love this doll so much! I got different outfits for him, and even got a Cassandrium necklace.💜

I got so many comments about the outfits under the screencaps I thought I could draw all of them! I love designing clothes for them so much, I think I’ve made a million iterations with all my AUs

My thoughts behind these are under the cut!

I like to think that Merida actually doesn’t mind skirts, she just hates restrictive materials. I didn’t draw her bow because I’m lazy, please assume it’s there

After temporarily losing Toothless, Hiccup enters his emo phase and starts wearing green again, until season 3 when they are reunited

Jack is meant to look slightly off, to suggest he’s not from this time, but eventually he blends in with the others. His beloved hoodie gets badly damaged in the s1 finale and Rapunzel recycles it for his s2 fit

She also forces him to wear her scarf during Queen for a Day

their season 1 outfits are their canon ones: long green dress for Merida, httyd2 flight suit for Hiccup and hoodie for Jack

Everyone gets a brooch with the Corona royal crest by season 3: they’re besties now and They Have To Match. Their style reflects the kingdom’s fashion a bit more

As Cass's original Moonstone armour is so minimal and relies on negative space a lot, I opted to add extra embellishments to mimic the black rocks to give the outfit more dimension in 3D.

Both wigs went really well, however the magnet in her head has begun to rust over, along with the one in her blue hair. It's likely due to the wig caps being made from water based PVA glue as well as being stored in damp-prone conditions. Regardless, the magnet idea did work well bar the rust and her blue hair will soon be fixed.

The black rock sword is made from simple black worbla. I would have liked it to have more dimension but with limited free time and resources it was tricky to construct.

Brunette Rapunzel Dolls

2012 Disney Store Classic Doll. The UK version included Eugene.

2012 Disney Store mini doll set. US on top and UK version on bottom.

2012 Disney Heirloom Wedding doll, edition size of 8000.

Precious Moments Disney Tangled Rapunzel doll with cut braid.

2019 Disney Store Classic doll set. 'Eugene' is on the box! First time ever his doll is referred to as Eugene!

2020 Disney Store Classic doll set. First time ever to be a brunette doll wearing the pink dress! If only 'Eugene' instead of 'Flynn' was on the box.

Those are all the official brunette Rapunzel dolls as of posting. There are several brunette figures, a Tsum Tsum mini plush, and 2 mini playsets, but these are the only dolls. No Disney plush or Designer exists. Hasbro, Simba Toys, Jakks Pacific, Tonner, Takara Tomy, Madame Alexander have never produced one. Hopefully Mattel makes one now that they have the Disney Princess license back.

Bonus:

Jakks Pacific Princess and Me Rapunzel doll does have a dark brown hair streak! But, it is the same length as the rest of the hair.

Various dolls I have had rerooted, redressed or used a brown fabric marker to change the hair. The pink dress has been produced many times but it was only ever officially on a brunette doll once.

My own custom Heirloom brunette Rapunzel with others Disney has also neglected to produce. 😊

Making a Cassandra Toddler Doll Part 2-

Here’s how well the makeup covered up the Sharpie:

5- The Anna dress I had was in a bit of state with lots of loose threads. I cut those threads off and thought the dress looked really good.

6- The Anna doll’s shoes, looked almost identical to the ones Cass wears, so they were absolutely perfect.

7- And she’s mostly done! She needs a few small changes but she is definitely stating to look like Cassandra! I’m excited to finish her!

Is there anything you think I should add to this doll to make her more Cass-esc? Or any expression I should give her, rather than the smile? Let me know! 😊

New Custom Varian and Cassandra Dolls!

They’re made to match the Classic Disney Store Rapunzel and Eugene in the 3D style. I love them sooo much!!! 😍😍😍

Here they are compared to my series Cass and custom series Varian. Which do you like better?

Behold! A Rapunzel doll with actual long hair!

At first it was a little challenge with myself; I found some 1,80 meter (6 feet) long hair extenstion, aannnnnnd I quickly regreted it! I had to CONSTANTLY untangle this mess as I glued it to her head. Also, I will NEVER undo that braid! I had to use both of my hands AND my freaking foot to make it!

ANYWAY, I decided to not make the purple dress from the movie, and instead I mixed Claire Keane’s original concept for the movie, a bit of Tangled: The Series aesthetic and my own concept to design her outfit. I just love the green dress! And it goes so well with her eyes color! 

Also, ✨ Freckles ✨

For her body, I used a cheap Rapunzel doll head that I repainted and a SnapStar body (their heads are ugly AF but the body is really interesting and articulated).

I’m really happy I got to finish her because that hair buisness was REALLY exhausting!

No regrets on opting to make two wigs, and I'm really pleased with her natural hair as it looks more unkempt and suitable for her character.
