glad to know he agrees with me that her book is Wrong because some of the things she claims are just....bad
#sophies ramblings#like not even her argument (which i think is interesting but her reading of the text is not always ideal) but Actual Attributions of Writin#like. he was dead by then. he could not have written that. if you looked at the editions it would be clear#do i think he's going to like my dissertation? probably not. but here we are#she also makes the absolute BIZARRE choice to use the 1564 edition#for reasons clear only to her i think

So I've been finding lately that I have a lot of thoughts about Blue Lock, specifically concerning:
A.) Yoichi and his treatment (both canonically and within the fandom)
B.) Sae (his character overall and his position as it concerns his melodramatic ass "fallout" with Rin)
C.) Michael Kaiser (appearance aside, his fascination with psychology really intrigues me for some reason)
D.) Blue Lock as a whole (I truly wonder what the outcome of this story will be)
Y'all be on here writin' dissertations and I'm just like, "it ain't that deep" about pretty much all of it. 😂
But perhaps, I have been enlightened in recent times and to some degree, it is dat deep. 🤷🏾♀️
All I know fa sho is this: Yoichi already got my heart, Sae is steadily worming his way into said heart, and when they team up and leave Rin even more shooketh I want a front row seat. 😂
(Also heads up: once I get my posting schedule togetha fa December amidst all the otha goin' on in my life, expect to see a good amount of new Blue Lock content from me.)

The Benefits of Using PhD Dissertation Editing Services for Grammar and Syntax
Completing a PhD dissertation is an extraordinary academic achievement, representing years of diligent research, analysis, and writing. However, the writing process does not end once you have finished drafting your chapters. The quality of your language, grammar, and syntax plays a crucial role in how effectively your research is communicated. No matter how strong the content of your dissertation may be, errors in grammar and syntax can undermine the clarity and professionalism of your work, potentially affecting your academic standing.
For doctoral candidates in India and around the world, PhD Thesis World offers comprehensive dissertation editing services designed to address these issues and ensure that your work meets the highest linguistic and academic standards. In this article, we will explore the benefits of using professional dissertation editing services to improve your grammar and syntax.
1. Enhancing Precision in Language
One of the main challenges doctoral candidates face is the complexity of the language used in a dissertation. A dissertation is not simply about presenting your research findings; it involves the precise and accurate communication of complex ideas. Any mistake in grammar or syntax can distort your message, leading to confusion or misinterpretation of your research.
How Editing Services Help: Professional editors possess a keen eye for spotting grammatical errors, punctuation mistakes, and inconsistencies in sentence structure. They review your dissertation meticulously to ensure that every sentence conveys your ideas clearly and correctly. They focus on aspects such as subject-verb agreement, proper tense usage, sentence fragments, and correct punctuation. By ensuring your language is accurate, PhD Dissertation Editing Services help make your dissertation easier to read and understand, enhancing the overall quality of your work.
2. Improving Readability
Even if your research is thorough, a poorly constructed sentence can make it difficult for readers to follow your arguments. Long, convoluted sentences, awkward phrasing, or improper use of punctuation can make your dissertation challenging to read. This is particularly problematic when presenting complex theories, detailed data, or intricate arguments, where clarity is essential.
How Editing Services Help: Editing services focus on enhancing the readability and flow of your dissertation. They identify areas where sentences are overly complex or unclear and rework them to improve flow. By breaking up long sentences into more digestible parts or restructuring awkwardly phrased passages, professional editors help your dissertation become more readable. This improves the overall flow, making it easier for the reader to engage with your research and arguments.
Editors also focus on enhancing coherence across paragraphs and sections. They ensure that ideas are logically connected and that transitions between thoughts are smooth, which is crucial for maintaining the flow of the dissertation. This leads to a more polished and cohesive final draft.
3. Consistency
PhD dissertations must be written in a formal, academic tone, and the language should maintain a consistent style throughout. Inconsistent use of formal language, casual phrasing, or varying levels of complexity can detract from the professionalism of your dissertation. This inconsistency can also confuse the reader and distract from the central message of your research.
How Editing Services Help: Professional editors ensure that your dissertation maintains a consistent tone and style from start to finish. They identify inconsistencies in word choice, phrasing, or sentence structure and make necessary revisions. Whether you are using overly complex language or switching between formal and informal tones, editing services will help standardize the language, ensuring that it adheres to the expectations of academic writing.
In addition, editors ensure that your use of terminology remains consistent throughout your dissertation. This is especially important when dealing with specialized subjects or technical jargon, as misused or inconsistent terminology can undermine the clarity of your research.
4. Addressing Mistakes
As you work on your dissertation, it's easy to overlook common grammatical errors due to the sheer volume of content you are writing. Even the most experienced writers can miss basic mistakes like missing commas, subject-verb disagreements, or misplaced modifiers. These errors, though seemingly minor, can disrupt the flow of your writing and impact the overall readability of your dissertation.
How Editing Services Help: PhD Dissertation Editing Services focus on catching even the smallest grammatical mistakes that could affect the integrity of your dissertation. Editors have an extensive understanding of grammar rules and can quickly spot errors that may be easy to overlook. They focus on issues like:
Tense consistency: Ensuring that your use of past, present, and future tenses is consistent throughout the dissertation.
Sentence fragments and run-ons: Breaking up incomplete sentences and fixing overly long, rambling ones.
Pronoun agreement: Making sure that pronouns agree with their antecedents in both number and gender.
Word choice and spelling: Correcting any spelling mistakes, typos, or misuse of words that could lead to confusion.
By addressing these errors, editing services help you present a polished, error-free dissertation that meets academic standards.
5. Improving Sentence Structure
PhD dissertation writing often involves presenting complex ideas and arguments. While these ideas may be solid, they can become difficult to follow if the sentence structure is poor. Sentences that are too long, unclear, or awkwardly constructed can make it hard for the reader to understand your points.
How Editing Services Help: Professional editors rework sentences to improve their structure and clarity. They identify areas where sentences are overly complex or confusing and break them down into simpler, clearer constructions. Editors ensure that your sentences are not only grammatically correct but also precise and easy to follow. By refining your sentence structure, editing services enhance the clarity of your ideas, allowing you to convey your research in the most effective way possible.
6. Making Accessible to a Wider Audience
PhD dissertations are not only read by experts in your field but may also be accessible to a wider academic audience. A dissertation that contains numerous grammar and syntax errors can be a barrier for readers who are not specialists in your subject. Clear, error-free writing ensures that your research is accessible to those with varying levels of expertise in your discipline.
How Editing Services Help: By improving your grammar and syntax, editing services help make your dissertation more accessible to a broader audience. They ensure that your ideas are presented clearly and in a manner that can be understood by scholars from diverse fields. This enhances the academic reach of your work and ensures that your research can be appreciated by a wider group of readers.
7. Meeting University Guidelines
Most universities have strict guidelines regarding the quality of academic writing and language proficiency. Submitting a dissertation with grammatical errors, awkward phrasing, or inconsistent syntax may result in a rejection or request for revisions. In some cases, these issues could delay your graduation.
How Editing Services Help: Editing services ensure that your dissertation meets the specific language and grammar standards required by your university. They review your work to ensure it complies with the formatting, style, and linguistic guidelines set by your institution. This helps you avoid unnecessary delays and ensures that your dissertation is ready for submission on time.
The Last Words
The grammar and syntax of your PhD dissertation play a critical role in communicating your research effectively and professionally. While the content and depth of your research are essential, the clarity, accuracy, and readability of your language are equally important. PhD Thesis World offers expert dissertation editing services that focus on enhancing your grammar, improving sentence structure, and ensuring consistency throughout your dissertation. By working with professional editors, you can be confident that your dissertation will not only be free of errors but will also present your research in the most polished and academically rigorous manner possible. This will greatly improve your chances of success and contribute to a more impactful dissertation overall.

My PhD Journey: A Personal Reflection on Challenges and Triumphs
Taking a PhD always forms a hub for those seeking to make their mark in their area of specialization, yet this journey is accompanied by challenges, rewards, and personal gains. Now, looking back into my own PhD experience, I would say it is one of the most transformational and demanding phases of my life. It not only pushed me to limits from where I could never thought to be reached but even questioned my ability, thus, ultimately providing a feeling of accomplishment which no other phase could give. In this blog, I hope to share the highs and lows of my PhD journey, lessons learned, and some advice for anyone considering embarking on a similar path.
The Start: Excitement and Uncertainty
Initially, when I chose to pursue a PhD, I thought that this was the step that would satisfy my keen interest in my subject; what I would really be working towards was something meaningful contribution to the field. In a nutshell, I was among those curious individuals who never stop reading, questioning, and asking for deeper answers to a question. I thus observed that dedicating a couple of years in a problem area to develop original research would perfectly mesh my intellectual curiosity with the real impact.
Excitement filled the first few months. I dived into literature reviews, attended seminars, and started outlining my research question. It seemed like the beginning of a very exciting adventure. But soon reality started to sink in with the fact that a PhD was not just about research but also about long hours of lonely work, learning how to understand complex academic language, and understanding not just what I wanted to talk about but what was missing in current knowledge. I soon realized that the excitement of this experience was only one half of the equation. There were moments of uncertainty too: was my research question good enough? Was I on the right track? And the bigger question: would I be able to finish this?
The Middle: Battling with Doubts and Overcoming Obstacles
My PhD journey proved to be a series of trials in terms of tests of patience, resilience, and determination. Among the most grueling was the mental and emotional cost of the "PhD rollercoaster."
Days came when everything seemed impossible: data didn't combine as expected, literature just seemed to stretch endlessly, and pressure to produce new, original work was really suffocating.
I started to feel that I was not qualified enough, and sometimes an imposter in the academic world. That is what's referred to as "imposter syndrome": feeling that you don't belong, even though you've earned your place. It's a very common experience for many PhD students, and it can be extremely isolating. Really, what helped me through those moments was getting some support from my advisors and fellow PhD students.
The message I learned is that there is no person who would solve a problem, and talking out your problems really puts you in perspective. Regular interactions from my advisor and colleagues gave me the constant reminder of not doing it alone while also helping me understand what setbacks are-all part of the process: they don't constitute failures but merely learning experiences that help shape my approach. Another important takeaway for me would be the effective time management principle. A life in Ph.D. appears like this is a never-ending queue of deadlines, revisions, and experimentation. Initially, I had experienced procrastination with an almost overwhelming sense that the workload was massive. Over the period, however, I discovered how to break the pieces of tasks into doable sizes while setting appropriate, realistic expectations. For my morale, small achievements-finish work on one chapter, small progress toward completing methodology-played crucial roles.
The dissertation and the "Finish Line" The final stretch
The last phase of my PhD journey was perhaps the most intense, yet the most rewarding. Writing the dissertation was both a relief and a mountain to climb. All the years of work, learning, and research were channeled into this one document, and the pressure to get everything just right was immense.
On the other hand, clarity is also realized with the dissertation. Nights of writing and rewrites became bearable, close to the finish line. The thing that surprised me is how much my feelings go into my work because research is not merely academic work; it's more deeply personal. You put so much of yourself into it; thus, the work will definitely mirror all that you have seen in your mind, found during research, and were passionately feeling.
Finally, once the dissertation is in, this is my last step: to prepare for the defense. And boy, was that nerve-racking, yet at the same time, I would be surprised if any of the readers can tell you any experiences they will ever forget from this exercise; presenting to a panel of experts with critical engagement is extremely validating and empowering. It is a sort of the culmination of all the late nights, uncertainty after uncertainty.
An Aftermath: Reflection and Directions
Now that my PhD is finally done, I feel the possibility of reflecting on the whole journey. The process has molded me in ways I would never have imagined. Not only did I learn a lot about my field but also learned about myself - how to handle failure, how to stay motivated even when things are not going well, and how not everything is going to be as planned. These are tough lessons to learn, but valuable not just for academia but for life as well.
Perhaps the biggest surprise about this PhD was just how it altered the dynamics of my relationship with knowledge. In coming to the program, I thought I was signing up to master a topic or two. What actually was discovered, though, is that doing a PhD isn't so much about answers but rather questions: not in having answers, but asking the right questions in an effective way, making decisions in situations of complexity and uncertainty, and accepting that such uncertainty might never really end.
And now, graduating with a PhD, I am excited about the future and any profession. Whether it is in academia or in industry, I know that the skills and experiences that I have gained over my PhD will form the foundation of whatever path I choose. Truly, I've learned during this period that the PhD is not merely a title but a journey of personal as well as intellectual development.

why i love the fab five
There's something so liberating about watching survivors live their lives to the fullest and encourage others to do the same. For them to love others from the love they cultivated for themselves.
Like most people who started watching queer eye, I thought the show would be a shallow, vapid, and superficial shell. The personalities of the fab five seemed over the top and extravagant to a saccharine extreme. When I finally decided to watch the show, I slowly begin to notice their individual personalities. I immediately bonded with Tan and Karamo, knowing that since they were POC, they would be the most knowledgeable of the nuisances of society. And then came the episode where they were pulled over by a cop, and everyone's nerves and anxiety was palpable. It was only really until the first episode of the second season when I really realized how important these five guys were. I was raised, and identify as, Christian, but have had my own struggles of the people in the religion. It was amazing to me the words that were spoken to the guys by Tammy. Through them viewers could feel the love that I wished they could feel more often through the church. Honestly through them, I understood a bit more of how to live my life as a Christian. That they could put themselves in the line of fire every single time they went out to help one of the heroes just because of the way people see them as gay men. And somehow through the interaction with them, not only change their perspective of LGBT people, but even become friends with them. Not to forget all of the great things they were doing for heteronormative viewers - the affection they had for each other, the love, the support. The fab five are revolutionary just because they dared to be themselves, plain and simple. The fact that the selves that they portrayed are unique was amazing, as it brought a nuance to the definition of a gay man. The added bonus that the five influence each other by being themselves was only the cherry on top. The Fab 5 inspire me to be better and allow to see that it does get better.
#fab 5 really got me out here writin essays#right here's my dissertation on why the fab 5 are super important to me and 100% friendship goals#blurbs#night drunk#queer eye

Title: The Gone-Away World
Author: Jo Walton
Rating: 3/5 stars
Jo Walton is a living legend. Her first novel, The Gone-Away World, was hailed by Booklist as "brilliant," and nearly made the New York Times after winning a prestigious prize in fiction. Her second novel, The Inheritance Trilogy, anticipates several future "cultural touchstones," and the final book has just been announced by the publisher as "a complete, satisfying and utterly original triumph." So you can kiss goodbye to a plot that runs for more than a page without a character muttering the word fraud. (The author wrote this while in a paranoid psychosis, for God's sake! It would take several more months of recovery before she could return to writing, as a result of which a large amount of this text stretches back into the 20th century.)
The Inheritance trilogy, which is now nearing half a century since its first publication, is in many ways a very strange, very awkward book. But this is part of its weird charm.
The plot, as Walton's own words describe it:
First his father dies. Then his mother. Then everything. He's a boy again – a boy with no father. A boy with no mother, a boy alone in an unfamiliar neighborhood. He's an orphan. And he lives in a town with his grandmother and his great-aunt, and when he's not working as a carpenter, he's working as a carpenter's assistant.
Now let's put aside the fact that the story has no obvious plot, that there is no central, fascinating conflict (the five main characters all become quite famous in their fields within 50 pages, and then disappear). Let's also forget all the embarrassing plot contortions Walton has assembled to try and make these characters seem interesting, to make them seem like people, rather than objects to be manipulated for at most 50 pages. Let's just look at what is in front of us. We meet five people, all apparently quite famous, all of whom disappear off into oblivion after 50 pages. We meet them because Walton suddenly and inexplicably decides she's seen enough, decides her characters deserve to have names, and decides to write them down in a novel-length book. She has suddenly become a novelist – and 20 pages later is gone, having killed herself. ??
???
Did I just miss the point? An incomprehensible, awkward novel about five prominent people vanishing off – what's that, something now? Engaging antagonists, a far-off setting, awkward dialogues, a protagonist instantly and screw-headedly thrust into the limelight – can I have some of that amazing writing acting as soundtrack to my rice cake cross-dressing lunacy, please, oh yes.
More important, why do you be treated with so much deference for continuing to support a 70-year-old author when even the high ages we all know and love require such awfully low expectations, such boneless pseudo-innovative fun, just crack jokes about Jennifer's hackles every so often and I'll be a happy girl on my way to wasting the afternoon in front of the 8-year-old giant teddy bear playing along with this bloody, bleeding, twitching bloody drivel pretending that the author is some unique new genius, when if anything she can be carefully and dispassionately criticised within these boundaries and now everything we do in the period between should consist, above all, of the beautiful process of discussing literature which I have just come across for the first time, like, fucking writin' about literature???
Isn't this what all critics do anyway, out here on the other side of the divide with the internet? Assuming a command of all jargon and configuring dissertations to respond to the symphonies of unexpected profundity, on the rota of rare loud complex sounds we weave our way through extraordinary passages and fusions of style — don't get me wrong, I do it too - but why this strange idea of a Slattery canon, an "uncultured" canon for the hip (the tone of Beautiful You, Shit, the sibilance, the Steely Bird laugh) who are going to best understand what the [youth?] have really grasped when it's burning down far below their knees?
I guess I keep waiting for the volume of my maternal exuberance to depend... on the beat. But perhaps you can read it as a book about the death of traditional literary culture, or perhaps it depends on this

“Writin’ dissertations is hard. There’s too many words about one subject. I swear they just make it longer than it really has t’be.
Well, i finished mine on th’ Accursed Pox since i was lucky ‘nough t’have a subject t’treat on it, and figure i’d put th’practise towards my practical marks.
My head hurt though... So i figure’d i’d go out for some air in th’new garden with Butthead! He seemed t’like the new pond. I didn’ realise anyone was here, until i saw someone sat in a tree with a hawk. His name was Lonan.
And then, two more people came! Laurent, and... This Miqo’te lady who was super quiet and doesn’t speak, named Ronin.
We spoke mostly about our pets. Lonan’s tryin’ to tame a bear! A whole bear! It’s possible, but... Well? Maybe he shoul’ think about takin’ me just in case it tries t’eat him. It’ll be good f’him, since y’know, he’s statistically less likely t’die, and good f’me, since i can practise healin’. Also i gets a bear if he’s good at it, i guess.
He says he’s gettin’ a bear for a friend’ve his in a Keeper Clan who revere’s ‘em. I’ve heard’ve Clan’s like that. Karahli don’ really have an animal, i guess. Each Clan’s got it’s own stuff.
Lonan left t’go do somethin’ then, an’ i stayed t’talk. I asked Ronin a bunch of stuff i was curious about; whether she could talk, an’ what she did. We’re like opposites! I have blue hair, and hers is red! She uses swords, an’ i use magic!
She seems nice, i guess.
We were talkin’ ‘bout how many Miqo’te were in th’house, an’ that it’s nice t’see more’ve ‘em. I don’ know which Ronin is, though. Laurent mentioned Q’ana, an’... Well?
...There were certain words he said i shouldn’ use, an’ that i should maybe be more tactful.
I don’t get it. Wouldn’ people rather know?
...Maybe this is somethin’ t’do with this bedside manner stuff.
Anyway, Ronin left a little while after, an’ i came down th’ladder to sit by the pond. I got t’talkin’ with Laurent about...
...Well. Clan stuff. Didn’ tell ‘em everythin’, but he was askin’ how i joined, since i mentioned that people ain’ really born into the Clan, an’ that it’s kind’ve like a title. An’ i mentioned my comin’ of age, an...
...I mentioned about Sihret. And the Garleans. And what she did. He seemed worried, but... I didn’ tell ‘em everythin’. I mentioned that it was Bexy who saw, when she saved me.
He seems t’think she’s good. I don’... Think he knows everythin’. She told me not to tell no-one, a long time ago. That she was tryin’ t’put it all behind her. An’ i’m tryin’ my best, but when it’s how y’know a person... It’s hard, sometimes. But i didn’ say nothin’ i shouldn’t’ve, i hope.
We both agree she’s kinda scary.
Silas came t’join us, then! I don’ really know ‘em very well, ‘cept that we work together in th’infirmary. He’s nice, when he’s not bein’ a butt to me!
I’m an adult! I can drink alcohol an’ swear an’ do anythin’ else he can!
He asked Laurent about his hands. ‘pparently people’ve been mean to him about his injuries. Callin’ him useless.
...He ain’ useless. He did that t’save a friends life. He’s just recoverin’.
Laurent had t’leave, then. An’ Silas went back to th’infirmary.
...It sounded like a good time for a nap...”
