Wanted to design a post 60th anniversary look for the 14th because there's no way he'd stay totally skinny under Donna's care. Also I thought it would be cute if the Doctor wore clothing pieces with hints of Donna's colour palette in it (red/pink). Plus, I think a sweater vest would suit him right with him trying to slide into a more comfortable life.

One thing I really love about the Doctor and Donna being platonic friends is that they aren't just platonic because Donna has her own partner.

It was made clear pretty soon after she started traveling with them that she wasn't at all romantically interested in the Doctor not because there was someone else but simply because she just didn't like them in that way.

And I'm happy about that because I feel like most media thinks that there has to be some deeper reason for why a woman wouldn't be interested in a masc/male presenting character especially if she's close to him. They don't believe that it can be as simple as her just liking him better as a friend.

I like to think that the reason bi-generation was so rare and mythical and unheard of and why it happened now is because it's an extreme self defense mechanism of the Time Lords — even more extreme than regular regeneration.

Simply put: the Doctor was too stressed. All of that stress built up over time more and more and more, until...

Until, much like with Donna and Rose in The Meep, the Doctor split themself into two so that they could share the burden.

I love how Wild Blue Yonder lives up to its literal name; it's absolutely wild and scary, has blue aesthetics all the way through, and is happening at the very edge of the universe on a spaceship with a self-destruction button at the distant end of the tunnel.

It's spooky. (I like spooky. Big spooky fan me.) It's blue. It's happening in such a remote part of space where no human has ever been before. It's insane. And I absolutely love it 💙
