She learns that Bucky's bi & kind of in a situationship with Sam. So, she sets up an interview where he has to talk about how "wonderfully progressive & accepting everyone is now" from his perspective as an elder queer.

I feel like Walker & Alexei would end up independently doing something like the Equal Rights (Not Gay) song bit from Pop Star: Never Stop Popping. And then Val would have a whole meltdown from that absolute PR disaster.

And then Bob, feeling left out, will just randomly come out on Twitter. (Doesn't matter what identity, I feel like he could be anything tbh).

As much as i have my problemas with the RTD2 era, i can't really say i hate this era, i mean, this era gave to me Wild Blue Yonder, Boom, 73 Yards, Dot and Bubble, Rogue, Lux, The Well and The Story and the Engine, which are all bangers to me

A lot of people have said it's very disappointing that Ncuti didn't get to have some of the typical episodes that the other Doctors had.

There was no Dalek episode, no Cyberman episode, no Master episode, no post-regeneration identity crisis episode.

But you know what I'm disappointed we didn't get? A historical figure episode (and no I'm not counting The Devil's Chord because the Beatles were barely in that).

I've always loved those episodes. And since everyone was talking about "omg Doctor Who is more explicitly queer now!!!" I especially hoped that one day we'd get an episode about a queer historical figure with Rose Noble as a companion. It would've been amazing to see two queer people of color interact with a famous queer person.

Give me a mystery of something within Lili Elbe's paintings, give me an alien attack during one of Roberta Cowell's races, give me an escapade of 1960s Christopher street where we get to see Marsha P. Johnson & Sylvia Rivera, give me an acknowledgement of Alan Turing's horrible treatment from the British government, give me something with Bayard Rustin, give me something with Alan L. Hart, give me literally anything with Sappho.

But alas we didn't get that, and now I've realized that Rose Noble and the 15th Doctor were really just vessels for RTD's nostalgia baiting.

I really think Carla Sunday should've been the one who realized something was wrong in Wish World.

Because when it was revealed that Ruby was kicked out of Carla's house for having doubt, I was actively wondering "why would Ruby still be with her adoptive single mom if Conrad's perfect world is 1950s nuclear family esque? Wouldn't it make more sense if she was just with her bio mom and dad?". Logically, I think it would've made sense if Carla had doubts because she subconsciously knew Ruby was missing from her life.

And honestly I think it would've been more compelling. This is the third time we've seen Ruby be essentially abandoned by Carla (which is a bit problematic as other people have pointed out) and by this point it's gotten stale. We've already seen the emotions behind a child losing their parent. But a parent losing their child? That's something new.

Plus, it would've given Carla more time to shine and be an actual character.

But who am I kidding, God forbid we make a blonde white woman not the oh so special focal point of the story am I right RTD?

The second episode of the show was literally about the team fighting an alien that kills anyone it has sex with.

I expected the series to be full of more goofy stuff like this but sadly no.

Don't get me wrong the episodes we got are great but like op said I wish we had more episodes of the team doing stupid shit.

I wish Torchwood had had like, two more seasons of business as usual episodes before anyone died or became undead to do dumb tropey genre show shit.

I want a bodyswap episode - I want like, Ianto having to fumble his way through being Gwen in front of Rhys.

I want a full memory loss episode - I know we did memory manipulation with Adam, but I want everyone to wake up in the Hub not knowing who or where they are, and to have to deal with an alien threat when they don't actually know aliens exist.

Fuck it, musical episode.

I think people who ship yelena are weirdly defensive about not being aphobic but I don't see them even TRYING to portray how her being aroace would affect her relationships.

"Aro and ace people can still date and have sex" Yes, correct. How does that work for them tho? It's not gonna be the same as for allo people. Explore that.

"She has not been confirmed aro or ace in the movies-" and? If she was canonically a lesbian in the comics people would be pissed if anyone shipped her with a man in mcu.

"It's not even canon in the comics-" do you need her to spell out that she is aromantic asexual? Why do we need it spelled out? If she says she has no interest in dating why can't we take that as her being aromantic?

If she said she wasn't interested in men, people would automatically assume she's a lesbian. Why isn't this the same?

I would actually love to see Yelena be put in different relationships and how those relationships work for her as an aromantic and asexual person.

But none of you wanna actually put in the work. It just feels like you guys are using excuse after excuse to ship her like any other allo character.

Yes aroace ppl can date, but their relationships and levels of attraction are still different than straight people. I can tell y'all are using the aroace spectrum as a gotcha moment so that you can just write a character as essentially straight, without actually knowing anything about the identity itself.

Like do y'all even know the term "queerplatonic relationship"?

"Okay but aroace people can still date!" would you ship a lesbian with a man? I'm not talking about those weirdos who ignore everything canon, I'm talking about the vast majority of the fanbase. Do you think most of them would ship a gay man with a woman?
