I’m Valerie! I’m a college student who’s been working on this one story since I was 15. I’m 20 now. It’s called mindscape. Here’s the leave behind I wrote for a class:
Mindscape is a psych horror following the lives of the psychologists and interns who work at the Crisis Elimination Clinic. Patients are admitted into the CEC in place of a baker act where their minds are literally gone into by interns, psychedelic style. The game takes place in 2045, exploring the psyches, or mindscapes, of various patients. A strong focus is on the interns and the psychologists, and how they feel concerning their roles at this corrupt clinic.
I really care about this story and honestly leaving asks and engaging would make my day. Genuinely. I actually adore thinking about this and talking about this so I thought I’d finally make all of this its own blog. I’ll be reblogging my posts from my main about this for organizational purposes.

Normal AU for the Mindscapeverse!!
They are not normal. My characters are set in an unethical experimental clinic called Citrus originally. Naturally they’re all very traumatized and ill. Domini is kind of a self insert because I do what I want!! Ummm. In the normal au, citrus is essentially what the real citrus in our world is like (citrus is actually the clinic I go to for my meds in real life) and the volunteers get therapy and meds like. Normally. And the therapists and everyone are treated properly and are medicated if needed and everything. I’ve also just changed some things in general. Emery has a PhD and did not take Simon’s last name!

Emery and Simon have decent salaries, but in their works they live pretty frugally (Emery out of guilt for believing they’re not deserving of the luxury they can afford because they don’t believe they’re doing their job well enough, and Simon because he lacked financial security in childhood). In this au, they don’t struggle with this and actually treat themself to luxurious and sustainably made clothing.
• Because they’re not as insane about their clients, they haven’t been nearly as distressed, so they haven’t aged as rapidly. They still have visible age markers obviously (aging is a beautiful thing) but they’re not greying nor do they have really really heavy eyebags.
• I should mention. Emery’s also Catholic. I ❤️ Catholicism

CONTEXTO HISTÓRICO-ARTÍSTICO
El Panteón de los Reyes es el monumento sepulcral más antiguo en la estructura actual de la Colegiata de San Isidoro de León. En efecto, esta basílica, que acogió las reliquias de san Isidoro de Sevilla para aumentar la influencia espiritual, cultural y política que León sostuvo durante el siglo XII gracias a los monasterios que custodiaban sendas reliquias de san Pelayo y san Juan Bautista, conoció un desarrollo constructivo extraordinario desde el siglo IX al XI.
A sus pies, precisamente, se encuentra el Panteón Real. Erigido por Alfonso V (999-1028), que también mandó construir un cementerio episcopal en la zona de la cabecera tras el ataque de Almanzor a la ciudad, el panteón acoge los cuerpos de sus padres, Bermudo y Elvira, y los del propio Alfonso. Pero sin duda el gran momento fue el del rey castellano Fernando I y Sancha de León, hija de Alfonso V. También ambos se harán enterrar allí tras reafirmar en piedra la estructura de la edificación, junto con sus tres hijos: Urraca, Elvira y García. Será Urraca I de León (1109-1126) y su sucesor Alfonso VII (1126-1157) quienes enriquecerán el espacio de la iglesia y, lo que es más interesante para nosotros, patrocinarán las pinturas del Panteón Regio, además de ordenar la realización de las tres maravillosas portadas románicas de la propia basílica.
El Panteón Regio o Capilla de los Reyes es un espacio cuadrangular articulado por dos gruesas columnas que dividen el área en tres naves de dos tramos, generando un total de seis bóvedas. Los muros del panteón, relativamente alineados con los de la iglesia, incluían el propio espacio funerario en la parte inferior y una tribuna regia en el nivel superior, para que los monarcas siguieran las ceremonias.
El área viene configurada por las dos grandes columnas exentas, gruesas y achatadas, con un trabajo escultórico que, tanto en los capiteles de decoración zoomórfica y ornamentación vegetal como especialmente en los figurados con escenas bíblicas (la resurrección de Lázaro y la curación de un leproso, ambas claras referencias a la redención y la resurrección de la carne y el espíritu), acusan, si bien en un estado poco desarrollado, la influencia francesa transmitida por el Camino de Santiago, con su papel de ruta vertebradora de la Europa medieval cristiana.
La gama de colores que predomina en la decoración de las bóvedas es la de castaños y ocres rojizos sobre fondo blanco, con numerosas inscripciones; un programa pictórico que comienza en época de Urraca y continúa con Alfonso VII y que constituye una verdadera joya de la pintura medieval.  Busquemos sus claves de lectura.
El espacio pictórico está conformado, como hemos indicado, por la cubierta abovedada del Panteón Real y los espacios superiores a partir de la línea de impostas. Incluso el intradós de los arcos incluye motivos pictóricos.
Por su carácter catequético, las pinturas prescinden de realismo en perspectiva y tratamiento. La simplificación y geometrización de los volúmenes nos hablan del estilo pictórico de influjo francés, que llegaba por la ruta de peregrinación a Santiago de Compostela y que por entonces ya había calado en la miniatura local.
Son un total de seis bóvedas en las que se representan a modo de catequesis visual temas de los tres ciclos de la vida de Cristo: la Natividad, la Pasión y la Resurrección, que son también los ciclos litúrgicos.
1. Ciclo de la Natividad: las pinturas se desarrollan sobre fondo blanco, con rojos y azules, hoy casi grisáceos. Diferentes alusiones a elementos naturales enmarcan las escenas bíblicas: la Anunciación, la Visitación de la Virgen a su prima santa Isabel, la Epifanía, la huida a Egipto…
Destaca el anuncio a los pastores de Belén del nacimiento de Jesús (cfr. Lc 2, 8-18), de gran naturalismo: el ángel mueve aún sus magníficas alas descendiendo hacia los pastores, dos de los cuales tocan sus instrumentos mientras un tercero da de beber a su mastín. Simultáneamente tienen lugar escenas anecdóticas aprovechando los laterales de la bóveda, como dos machos cabríos enzarzados en una pelea o bueyes tratando de alcanzar las hojas de los delgados árboles, cuya realización con finas líneas curvas otorgan dinamismo y estilización a la composición.
También resulta de gran interés el conjunto de la matanza de los inocentes ordenada por Herodes (Mt 2, 16-18), en la que el ejército, caracterizado con la indumentaria y armamento propios, blande sus espadas. Uno, incluso, atraviesa con su lanza a un recién nacido cuyo rostro deja entrever matices expresivos frente a la impasibilidad de los soldados, y que refuerza la idea del interés por los detalles presente en todas las pinturas.
2. Ciclo de la Pasión: comienza con una espléndida representación de la Última Cena, con Cristo presidiendo y los distintos apóstoles identificados con epígrafes sobre sus cabezas entre los que destaca Judas robando un pez, símbolo de Cristo; incluso aparece el pincerna, el que servía el vino. Continúa el ciclo con la escena del lavatorio de los pies, las negaciones de Pedro sugeridas con la aparición del gallo y la propia representación de la tristeza del príncipe de los Apóstoles, para rematar con la Crucifixión.
3. Ciclo de la Resurrección: la manifestación fundamental de este ciclo de la glorificación de Cristo, que incluye profetas, evangelistas y santos, aparece en el gran Pantocrátor o Cristo en majestad (Maiestas Domini), sedente en el trono y con los pies apoyados sobre la esfera terrestre. Bendice hierático con el Libro abierto en el que se lee EGO SVM LVX MVNDI (“Yo soy la luz del mundo”) y nimbo crucífero, envuelto en una magnífica mandorla mística estrellada en referencia a la bóveda celestial y rodeado por el Tetramorfos (representación de los cuatro evangelistas con sus animales simbólicos, identificados también con sendos epígrafes), que emerge de formas flamígeras que rodean la impresionante representación. Con gran nivel de detallismo, esta escena que jalona la bóveda del espacio central transmite la solemnidad de Jesús como juez eterno que hace salir a la luz lo oculto del corazón humano. A esta omnipotencia hacen referencia el alfa (Α) y la omega (Ω) que flanquean su cabeza aureolada sobre el fondo estrellado que representa la bóveda celestial. Además, en el intradós sobre el Pantocrátor aparece la Dextera Domini, la mano de Dios, un motivo iconográfico de raigambre judía y muy popular en época medieval (de hecho aparece en la propia Puerta del Cordero de la misma basílica) que nos habla de la intervención de Dios en la historia humana, así como de su indivisibilidad con Cristo en la naturaleza divina.
En el intradós del arco formero que se encuentra a la derecha del Pantocrátor se representa un calendario agrícola o mensario. No ha de sorprender la inclusión de un motivo popular de carácter pagano; en otras grandes sedes, como en la propia catedral de Santiago, se incluían motivos similares, como zodíacos. En cierto sentido, son referencias a Dios como centro de la vida cotidiana y de los tiempos humanos. Aquí aparecen 12 medallones, uno por cada mes del año, con las representaciones de las labores propias de cada uno e incluyendo además referencias propias del arte romano que nos hablan de un interés por legitimar a la institución monárquica vinculada al mundo de la caballería:
Enero: aparece el dios romano Jano como bifronte, representando el final de un año y el comienzo de otro que precisa del discernimiento necesario para tomar las decisiones que condicionarán el resto del año.
Febrero: por el frío supuesto a este mes, se representa como un anciano calentándose al fuego
Marzo: se representa mediante un hombre podando las viñas en la mejor época para hacerlo
Abril: un joven toma los primeros brotes de la primavera
Mayo: caracterizado como el “mayo caballero”, por ser época de campañas militares, contiendas, torneos         y exploración.
Junio: aparece un campesino segando los tallos
Julio: las espigas de trigo están ya prontas para la hoz, y el campesino se dispone a segarlas.
Agosto: se nos presenta la actividad propia de este mes tras la siega, que es la maja del grano mediante un mayal.
Septiembre: el típico mes de la vendimia se representa mediante un hombre que recoge las uvas en un recipiente.
Octubre: tiempo de engordar a las reses porcinas, el calendario incluye a un personaje alimentando con bellotas a un cerdo.
Noviembre: aparece la matanza del cerdo, propia de este mes de san Martín.
Diciembre: el último mes del año se identifica mediante una mesa surtida bajo la cual se dispone el fuego para calentar los pies.
Se le conoce como la “Capilla Sixtina” de la pintura románica.
En origen, se accedía al Panteón Real mediante una puerta en el muro occidental de la basílica. Con las obras de ampliación, a comienzos del siglo XII, esta puerta se cegó y se abrió otra en el ángulo suroriental.
Durante la remodelación de la basílica, se erigió un altar a santa Catalina de Alejandría, y la estancia tomó también el nombre de Capilla de Santa Catalina.

Pope Francis sends letter to special envoy to Jubilee of Lima in Peru
(Vatican Radio)  Pope Francis has sent a letter to Cardinal Raúl Eduardo Vela Chiriboga, Archbishop Emeritus of Quito, Ecuador, whom he appointed as his special envoy at the concluding celebration of the Archdiocesan Jubilee of Lima in Peru.
The event takes place on 30 August 2017, on the occasion of the four-hundredth anniversary of the death of St. Rose of Lima.
The papal mission accompanying Cardinal Vela Chiriboga will be composed of:
- Don Alberto Jesús Maraví Petrozzi, spiritual director of the Conciliar Seminary of “Santo Toribio”;
- Don Jaime Jesús Calvo Zárate, chancellor of the Archdiocesan Curia and spiritual director of the Hermandad del Señor de Los Milagros de Las Nazarenas.

Domini’s name is so awesome and completely intentional. Dominica means belonging to the lord. Areli (middle name) means gold. Flores means flower, it’s a common Peruvian last name. The lord’s golden flowers…given that Domini is treated like a messiah ever since she was a child at the cec it is sooo perfect and I rule‼️ her first name came from when I was singing my fav song ever (angelus domini: ave maria) and I was like you know what would be a sick ass name…

They have always engaged in the nonsense...sylvimi through the years!! one of the consistent dialogues between these two is "you need to do your job right!!" and "i know!! I am doing it right!!" MORE ON THAT IN ANOTHER POST.) looking back i saw some concepts of sylvia and her friends and it reminds me of the gamestore tgirl post. sylvia is the ultimate tgirl...
domini has always been based off of me. i was more blatant in the beginning...straight up she was Valerie (my name) and was literally just me. identical to me. i was like 14 when I made mindscape so give me a break! but when I was that age my idea of myself was very different. I was a "silly girl who was a dumb useless lesbian!!" who became a morally scrupulous and aspiring altruist at 16-17. now, nearing 20, i'm normaler, but Domini is like if that scrupulosity never got better.
You can see it in some of these drawings. "You feel things when you look at me?" in this "I'm baby" fashion would never escape Domini now. If she said that it would probably be meanly. Domini is mean and manipulative and conniving and the perfect enneagram 2. i think. shes also emotional, openly. sylvia envies this about her. that's also always been them.

I do think that Sylvimi is a switch4switch power struggle relationship contrary 2 popular belief (no one talks to me about this). Like there’s this one tumblr post that’s…really good I’ll add it to this post later that describes them really well. There’s really a lot to deliberate with them. I wonder if I’ll ever incorporate nsfw into canon. I doubt it but I love thinking about it!!
At first I was like well Domini is a total sub everyone knows that but then I was like BORINGGGGGGGGG but then I was like wait. No. I don’t want this to be a vanoe situation where noe (very similar to Domini and even moreso to myself) tops vanitas in every fic because Sylvia isn’t at all like vanitas and actually I don’t think noe is in any way a top and I hate how misinterpreted he is. So where’s the balance…I just think power struggle switch 4 switch is where it’s at.
Obviously Sylvia isn’t really a submissive person by nature and she certainly ends up “winning” 90% of the time but it’s not without resistance from Domini. And on that: NEITHER OF THEM ARE BRATS! They both take themselves so fucking seriously it’s annoying. But they both initiate about equally and I think while sylvia always goes at it from a dom angle I do think with Domini she’s a little more…I don’t know. Half the time she’s like Shut The Fuck Up (they start making out) and half the time she’s like Hey do you wanna have sex cause I wanna have sex and Sylvia’s like Yeah let’s have sex and then they have sex.
I don’t know guys I think sometimes Sylvia loses. I thinkkkkk I think sometimes every now and then when they’re making out Domini’s able to get Sylvia to forget herself and she just wordlessly lets Domini take complete control because she just wants to serve! Sometimes the hunger takes over the ego. I personallyyyyy I personally think that’s awesome I mean.
