Anyways yeah poor Waffles was created so I can show that the clans really want to scare the kittypets away and stuff.

Dunno what happened with the humans and honestly don't care to create a reason so they just disappeared one day. Many cats did start crying and that's how the kingdoms formed at first. They started forming groups to support each other because a lot of cats did have deep emotional bonds with their owners.

They learned how to open the bags and cans and breaking out their trapped friends inside of the homes that were locked. (The raccoons helped by smashing in some windows lmao).

Tiny doesn't exist because I fused him with Rusty and that's why Scourge as we know doesn't exist in Kittypet Kingdoms.

The dogs were kind of peeved off on the behalf of their packmates and some who knew how to eloquently speak cat almost went off on a clan cat before being dragged back.

Barley and his barn are neutral grey area for the kingdoms and the clans. They respect this dude's wish to live in peace.

Also, the kittypets found a way to use fire. It's just the raccoons perfected it and then it went from there.

The clan cats were absolutely offended to try and be bribed with "trash" when I have read your twolegplace culture and they were being bribed with what these cats considered treasure. Their toys. Their special little blankets. Even their cans of tuna.

Most of the kittypets were offended the fuck off and had to be dragged back by force to not cause a fight.

Waffles is scarred for life and while he does joke about it from time to time. It was rather truly traumatizing to have him be pinned down and feel his tail be torn away from him to send a message to the other kittypets. He was kind of never the same.

They could've taken his eye. One of his ears. Given him a nasty scar on his body but they took his tail and that's what makes it worse. He was created to show that most of the clan cats can't be reasonably be reasoned with.

He walked in on a Gathering, they heard him out. They heard the humans are gone and most of them agreed that, "Hmm, yes, the twolegs are gone we can take the land for ourselves and go back to the times before all of this. Starclan sent this as a message for a brighter future. Come here little kittypet. Here's what's gonna happen if you and your little friend decide to stay and not leave when asked."

Honestly I don't mind that there isn't a specific cause towards the disappearance of the humans, I think it adds a bit of mystery that won't be solved. Poor Kittypets though, imagine one day you find your house empty with none of your Housefolk in sight, I like how that led to the formation of the Kingdoms, it builds a sense of community and builds a strong bond between those who were affected the most.

I feel like I remember you talking about making "Scourge" some kind of patron to the Kittypet Kingdoms but I could be misremembering, feel free to correct me on that. I think Tiny and Rusty being put into one character for this AU can lead to a lot of interesting ideas. It's good to know that Barley is just trying to live in peace and the Kingdoms respect his wishes (surprised the Clans respected his wishes but I digress). I'm sure that the raccoons helped the Kittypets with how to safely create fire without burning themselves. I'd imagine that while yeah, the cats have thumbs, with your word about Racoon thumbs generally being more capable, I think that it'd be hard for cats to hold tools to make fire.

I would very much imagine some dogs holding every fiber of their being back from mauling a clan cat to death, I don't blame em. Also makes a lot of sense for the Kittypets to be offended back at the fact that the Clans considered their prized possessions and treasure, "trash". Again, don't blame the Kittypets who wanted to beat the fuck out of the Clan cats, but also they're stronger than me, it would have been on sight for me.

Poor Waffles, man. I guess sometimes you need to show the unwilling and violent nature of the clans through some form of writing. But also, fuck, imagine how horrible he feels after realizing that he gave the Clans vital info about the disappearance of the Twolegs and feeling like he's the cause of their frequent raids and attempted take-overs of some of the Kingdoms. He feels like he's doomed them all.

Overall this is such good ideas you got cooking up! Really gets you thinking about something else too. How many cats in the Clans don't share the same sentiment towards the Kingdoms, how many cats in the Clans are tolerant of them? Are they scared to voice their opinion because they fear punishment? Such a terrifying idea.

He didn’t mind Morgan hanging around while he was in his office. It was a lot safer anyways but she was smart. She knew what to touch and not to mess around with. If it wasn’t Tony who did, Bruce certainly took extra care in keeping her informed and safe. She was rambling endlessly about a few things but Bruce had tuned a lot of it out. His mind set on finishing up some documents that needed to be signed here and there. He would nod his head, glancing up at her with a quick smile and diving back into his work.

Bruce nodded most of the conversation. He wasn’t annoyed in the slightest. The youth could talk an ear off. And the fact that Morgan had called him ’uncle’.. that made his heart swell.

He chuckled lightly at her efforts to get out of the office. He guessed it was time to get something to eat. He was pretty hungry.

“ You did have breakfast, right? ” Bruce asked her. He gave her a look that was similar to what Tony would do to get some answers out of him. Bruce set down his glasses and got up from his chair. He stretched. “ Hopefully it wasn’t sugar packets cause you seem like you have some energy. ”

“ Come on then, let’s get something to eat. What are you feeling? - wait, what were you sorry about? ” Bruce asked her.

“Shit.” Was her first thought. “Think Morgan, think! Uhhh...-Breakfast, go back to the breakfast question.”  Morgan actually did have breakfast that morning. Exactly one bite of a gluten free waffle, then two chocolate chip waffles with strawberries and whipped cream to make up for that absolute assault against her tastebuds.

However, she wasn’t keen on getting in trouble with Bruce for her recent little fuck-up. Quickly deducing that Bruce would have a more preferable reaction to her skipping a meal, she responded with the following. “-Right. Regarding breakfast, uh...Not exactly?” Giving an awkward grin, making sure to look sheepish and slightly guilty.

Then, for extra flair, she added on to it. “In my defense, I didn’t exactly get up early. I was working on something last night and it took just a bit longer than I thought it would. Just a couple hours, give or take. Definitely not the longest I’ve stayed up, heh.” More sheepish, guilty smiling. Tony would be proud. Even if he were to lecture her for it outwardly. He had to at least pretend to be a responsible father. Morgan knew that well. Besides, it was just a little white lie, nothing harmful would come of it and it’s not like she frequently got into situations where it was necessary.

Hii, I was wondering if you have any tips on writing, I really wanna start writing fics but I have no idea where to start 😅

okay okay so i might not be much help (so others feel free to respond with more tips!!) but i did just have this conversation with a friend of mine yesterday so i'll say what i said to her (along with some random things i think of) <33

also none of this is in a particular order, i'm just writing whatever comes to mind :)

prompt lists are really helpful!! find a random list of dialogue prompts/plot prompts/fic ideas/oc asks and see if there's anything there that sparks your interest

anything you come up with for a character or plot, write it down (either on paper or in the notes app/evernote) and see if you can expand on it

same with any dialogue you come up with, write it down! one day i was drifting off to sleep and suddenly came up with two lines of dialogue that shook me to my core and so i shot up and wrote it down and then went back to bed lmao

before this account, i hadn't written for about over a year or two? so when i made this account, i found it easier to ramble in headcanon format, but then i was inspired by a bunch of people to start writing again and that's how i got back into that,, so basically what i'm tryna say is to see if you like writing stuff up as headcanons because it can really help and you'll find yourself coming up with random fun ideas constantly (that can then become longer fics!!)

reading other fics (and just anything in general) is obviously super helpful because you may come up with a few ideas or it can expand your knowledge on a subject/character

google is your best friend, i swear i search "[word] synonym" a million times a day, or other things like "how to describe [feeling]" and then you can read what others have put and try and come up with something original

don't force yourself to come up with something incredible and lengthy immediately, like a multi-chapter fic or something over 1k words, try and start small with lil drabbles and short stories to practise

and don't try and make it brilliant on the first try, it's going to be bad (well, one would assume) and it'll probably make you cringe when you reread it but don't be afraid of that because you're going to improve as time goes on and you practise and get feedback and read other works!! seriously, in the past month i've already improved a lot (in my opinion)!!

reread your work a lot! and edit!! and if it's something you want to make really good, like a long fic, i recommend taking a step back and going back another time to then reread and edit (it's what i'm doing with my bi!aaron fic,, which is why it's taking so long,,, also i just suck at writing longer fics lmao, but i'm trying and practising and that's what matters ig)

if you have someone you trust and would be okay with reading your writing, have them read over your work and get their reaction to it along with any feedback

and if you're comfortable with it, post your work and see what others say!! like i said, i didn't mean to get back into writing but once i did, people were so lovely and it made me wanna carry on and i've already improved a lot in my ability as a writer, but i still have a lot more improvement to do

don't forget that writing is a fun creative thing to do, so do it for yourself before you do it for others--likes/notes/reblogs/kudos/all of that is validating and nice to get, but it doesn't determine your worth as a writer.

i don't even know if any of this is helpful, this is just the stuff i could come up with when thinking about my own writing so!

makes sense! it's such an iconic show 🥺 i think the ending did it justice & i've been trying to get my mom to watch it. Annie and Papa both kind of remind me of Holt in their humor, lmao. Papa would refer to the pets at "Donut the cat" etc and even the way he talks and acts, OMG LIKE THE EPISODE ABOUT WHEN HOLT PLAYED WITH MODEL TRAINS AS A KID — PAPA.

sure! they aren't essential to the plot so i intentionally leave it kinda vague, idk i just don't want to take away from the focus of the story. in COTMC (ch 5) the trilogy of books reader brings out in the barn with her is supposed to be lord of the rings, although that one isn't really significant. no wonder reader couldn't focus, that shit is so long and wordy 😫

in chapter 3, where it talks extensively about the books, those ones are a lot more significant about the two brothers and the evil woman is john steinbeck's east of eden. Annie's childhood favorite (and one of my own favorites from high school) about the axe murderer and redemption, is fyodor dostoevsky's crime and punishment.

i don't want to share TOO much! this is where i get myself into a bit of a conundrum because i totally want to tell you, but i don't want to post it on main yknow?? i will tell you that Pieck and Reiner get very concerned about Annie. they'll show up unprompted trying to check on her, and she basically beats them away with a stick since all she wants is to get some god damn peace and quiet.

i haven't decided the exact number but it'll be somewhere around 20-22 chapters depending on how it all unfolds. i have up until about chapter 10 very well planned out and just loose outlines for the rest.

kinda oversharing rn but i made one of my friends watch first season of aot for the first time and annie quickly became one of her favourite characters and she doesn't even know her whole story yet. i'm very proud to spread the annie agenda lmao
