Seven things poor people waste their money on by Warren Buffet
High-Interest Debt: Avoiding debt, especially high-interest ones like credit card balances, is crucial. High interest can quickly erode your financial health.
Get-Rich-Quick Schemes: Buffett warns against trying to make a quick buck and falling for schemes that promise high returns with little risk.
Unnecessary Luxuries: Living below one’s means and not spending on things that aren’t necessary is a principle Buffett has always lived by.
New Cars: Cars lose value rapidly once purchased. Buying and maintaining a reliable used car can be more economical than always opting for a new one.
Paying Unnecessary Fees: Whether it’s investment fees, bank fees, or any other kind of service charge, Buffett believes in keeping costs low.
Brand Loyalty Over Value: Not overpaying for brand names when a lesser-known brand offers the same quality at a lower price is a value-oriented approach Buffett endorses.
Eating Out Excessively: Frequently eating out, especially when done out of convenience, can add up over time. Preparing meals at home is often more economical. Buffett prefers the cheap value of fast food.

Care to elaborate about "They're creating another Jared leto" ???
Another actor who gets put in everything that nobody cares about except Hollywood perverts. It's almost comical watching the industry keep crap shooting at the box office with their little crushes. Oh, I know Dune will do well. It's been engineered to. But he's already getting off-the-cuff remarks about his role in the project.
You see, I'm not dumb enough to believe social media hype about anything from Hollywood. The proof is in the crowds you can pull. That shows the real potential power of your box office. THAT'S the pudding and I feel nothing but a dry itch looking at Butler. Hollywood really is in its stupid era, of Men Worshipping Men On Screen. Do you know who invented fandoms? Women. We do them right..unless you're a group of paid, psycho hyenas going by the name of Stalkerinas.
And more importantly...WE ARE THE MONEY. Men are cheap, by nature. It'll be the movie and a game, if attached. Women will buy almost anything if you give them someone and something worth looking at, and I see nothing lately worth wasting my time and money on. You see, I don't do 'New Masculinity'.

Fake ebooks on Amazon.
So the scammer makes a free 4 page "book," slapping together a vaguely plausible cover, with a link inside leading to their pirate website – where they sell (maybe complete but who knows; they're scammers) pirated ebooks for like $4. (This free book is also on KU, and I don't know how that works 'cause Amazon doesn't like permafree. They're likely getting a few pennies out of KU for this and I'm sad I'm not a scammer.)
The scam ebooks have only 4 pages, and get attached to the actual book, supplanting the legit ebook because Amazon shows the cheapest one & they're ~free~; the legit ebook can be found under an unobtrusive link for "other editions."
The scam books are all by "BY [author name] (AUTHOR), and they seem to all have the title including "(a fascinating story): Illustrated".
If you're a published author, check your pages and work on a DMCA takedown if they've hit you. Or get your agent or publisher to do it; you'd think the Zon Empire would notice these books are linking to outside sites, but noooooo...

ok here's the only Eurovision post I'll make this year
if you're thinking about voting just so That Song doesn't win, don't. you can't "save Eurovision" because it's already broken. the proof is that they let this situation happen. this isn't a political election where abstaining is bad because in this case voting directly finances the corruption. this contest is highly curated and rarely candid, and the winner is whoever is most profitable for the show, so if they want to be saved, they'll save themselves without your money.

Has Your Man™️ ever baby-trapped you in a vain attempt to keep your broken marriage together?
Has Your Man™️ crawled half way across the world to find you and bring you home, even after you stood by and watched him die at your daughter's hand, and then dump him in a swamp and then set him on fire?
Has Your Man™️ joined a band, revealing all the secrets of your kind, therefore risking his own life just to gain your attention and be reunited with you again after many decades?
Has Your Man™️ invited you to move back in with him, even after you denied him help when he needed you the most?
Has Your Man™️ awoken from a several year long coma to resurrect you after your suicide attempt?
Has Your Man™️ given you the speech of a lifetime to convince you to become his consort so you can rule over your entire species, for all time, together?
If you have answered no to any or all of these questions, then you may qualify for compensation on Your Man™️. We also offer a free return policy if your expectations aren't met from Your Man™️.
If you qualify for compensation and/or a free return policy, call us at 0800-my-relationship-is-a-huge-failure today!
Why settle for anything less than first place in the eyes of Your Man™️? If he's not looking at you like you hung the moon, or waxing poetic about you at any and every given opportunity, then it's time Your Man™️ took a trip to the swamps.
Get you a man that would.

Mcu is like if porn had no sex (except for that one scene in the eternals. Regret wasting my time with that one) and got less and less satisfying with each installment. And then it just shifts into kicking you in the dick and laughing when you wince in pain

I will admit that it never occurred to me that I would need to check the history book that claimed to be scholarly to see if it used references and footnotes, because how could a book be a scholarly work on history without such things, BUT NOW I KNOW BETTER.

this post seems to be going around so let me just say:
Tumblr media
THIS IS AN OBVIOUS AD.
I often see posts like this with a chain of reblogs saying that it's a ''need'' or whatever. But they're almost all sponsored posts from popular ''meme blogs'' and they're pretty easy to spot.
These posts always advertise a pretty useless product (normally lamps, plushies or jewelry) that's probably too expensive for what it is, and underneath add comments with a variant of "I found this thing. Here is the link to buy it!".
Tumblr media
Now, this is the linked website. They're selling these lamps for 25 dollars, which seems a bit much, don't you think? (and don't talk to me about that 35 USD price tag because I am completely positively sure that these lamps are ALWAYS on sale.)
What if I just typed ''spooky halloween ghost lamp'' on AliExpress..
Tumblr media
Would you look at that! This website is selling the lamps at a price THIRTEEN TIMES more expensive that the one that's on Aliexpress. THIRTEEN TIMES!!!
Also, I saw that the sponsor website, lavenderconstellation, has a TON of these other products. I've seen a few of their other sponsored posts and they always get a lot of traction somehow.
Can we please just stop reblogging ads?? Don't we already get enough of them daily??

I’ve seen a lot of ads for online “shops” that are merely buying items from aliexpress and/or alibaba and then jacking the price up to ridiculous amounts. I just want everyone to know that if you see an ad for a cute little product like a hat with cat ears, mushroom night lights, expanding "astrological" rings, socks, etc- these items are sold for very cheap from a chinese supplier website (that any person can place an order on) called aliexpress and are being marketed to the Tumblr community as “limited” items at maximum prices.
Accounts that I have seen reblogging these incessantly thus far are @mostly-funnytwittertweets, @dankmemeuniversity, @anxietyproblem, @everythingfox, @important-animal-images, @memeuplift, @my-kawaii--world and other aesthetic/meme/twitter screenshot blogs.
THESE ADS ARE SCAM SHOPS -Tumblr support has stated to report them! See images below.
I know a lot of people on here struggle financially and the last thing everyone needs is to be scammed like this. You can purchase these items yourself from the source for the actual price. Some of these items are poorly made and not even worth the ali price. Thanks for reading.
I have emailed with a Tumblr support person about these posts and they are indeed spam and should be reported as such.

And if you want a nice handmade beanie with cat ears, by all means please go to @hauntedtrait's tumblr page.

if I was a character I would've gotten non binary headcannoned so hard
#wordstag#back in da day. Was wondering what my problem was. Lo and behold I was trans the whole time#Thank cod for the queer community otherwise I genuinely have no clue what I would've done with my self.#Bro was so preoccupied with becoming nothing because they weren't what they wanted to be#that they didn't realize they could literally be what they wanted to be. For free. And no one could stop them.#still recovering from that bit to be honest. Crazy how childhood effects you or whatever.#it wasn't even like. Oh I wish I was the opposite gender sorta stuff. It was just full stop#Hey there's something wrong with me because I feel limited connection to my agab. I should die about it.#anyways online spaces were my jam. Was often perceived as male and I LOVED the change in pace#like gender never even really came up 99% of the time! What a beautiful world to live in...#I think my problem was that I saw male as like... the more neutral option?#women wear dresses and makeup and do their hair and men just. Don't#I THINK THE PROBLEM THAT ROOTED THAT PROBLEM WAS GROWING UP AROUND MY GRANDPARENTS#Who were always excited for me to be a beautiful young lady. Genuinely the best intentions but I wasn't vibing with it and that simply#wasn't an option? Like once I wanted to wear a suit to homecoming and it was like. A full stop no. I didn't even like dances#all that much. But skipping out on dances meant I was Wasting Highschool or whatever. Sad world.#anyways what. Long story short a lot of my childhood was spent longing to be perceived as something other than#my agab without saying that out loud because I thought saying something like that would cause the sky to fall.#YOU KNOW WHAT DIDNT HELP ALL THOSE GIRLS PROGRAMS#Like. I support women and all but being a part of them always felt vile. I didn't want to be a girl I just wanted to Be yknow.#have since gotten over that though and exploited my girl ness. Hashtag woman in stem hashtag aren't I cute? A woman pursuing#a scientific career? Adorable stuff? You should give me all of your money. Still feels vile but a different#perhaps more evil kind of vile. The exploiting the system of gender sorta vile#anyways. Cutting myself off here. Good night folks

Watching the situation with EA doing a fuckton of updates in a like. 5 days because their latest pack broke TS4 in.. A HUGE VARIETY OF WAYS from player to player. Jesus christ man. and then some of you guys still wanna pay for new packs?? What??? I can't make anyone buy or not buy anything but... C'mon, put your money to better use! Half of that content should've been base-game anyway, but instead gets cut up and sold across multiple packs to milk money out of people,, and it clearly works because I'm seeing people nab packs during the sale even while the game is in an unplayable state for a lot of players.
It's so sad because I was kinda excited for the 10-year anniversary next month. But seeing the state it's in rn, how frustrated people are seeing their game break down and (god forbid) their saves get completely wiped, seeing the very convenient sale for packs go up right as the community sends in complaints that the game won't load properly or they can't use CAS or this and that etc etc,,,
I'm never paying for another pack again. I feel crap that I ever did in the first place. If it ain't 100% off, I'm not getting it.

just read a facebook comment section on a young woman's video, in which she was asking 'how you're meant to live your life' if you work a 9-5 job
and the ENTIRE comment section was just people saying 'yeah welcome to life' 'whiny snowflake' 'do 70 hours and maybe i'll be sympathetic'
like... these same people have clearly become jaded, tired, angry and lack empathy because ALL they've done all their lives is work and have forgotten that anything else exists
it's like the concept of someone NOT having to live like that and enjoying life just drives them insane because deep down they know that they've wasted their lives following bullshit hustle culture and being miserable

For the last half year, I've watched @pinkcupboardwitch periodically wax rhapsodic here on the delights of chai tea. Having finally taken the plunge I can report apparently I shall be learning the intricacies of brewing chai because I'm thoroughly hooked. I had a chai latte, rather than the straight tea, but some cursory googling informs me milk is the best complement to the flavors, so fortune smiled in that regard.
Two things surprised me most: what a full sensory experience it was, and just. how well flavors my very American self wouldn't put together naturally gel. The spice aroma almost scared me off: it was strong and I'm not used to teasing out cinnamon and cardamom etc. When my nose smells "strong" I instinctively default to pepper and oh, hell it's going to be _hot rather than flavorful. But once I took that first tiny sip--think kid inching their toe into water and you'll have a good idea--and the flavor burst, not exactly sweet but bright and rich across my tongue, I started prolonging the experience. Inhaling the spice became aslow prelude, sweetening the anticipation of the flavors bursting across my pallet again.
I like wine, but I'll be honest. About all I can smell when I try to "discern its bouquet" is sharp and acid, to the point I have to work actively not to inhale because I know I'll enjoy the flavor once it's on my tongue if the aroma doesn't put me off entirely first. But this was strong, bracing and made me want to go sniff cardamom and ginger etc. to se if I can untangle the individual notes.
And erm. ginger is actually quite good in certain combinations, apparently? My (again very American. very southern.) take on ginger was too sharp, too _bitter in all the dishes I'd had it in except gingerbread but well. we Southern folks put so much sugar in gingerbread, I figured it could cover up *anything*. I couldn't imagine how vanilla would clash with what I expected to be a bitter ginger note. So I was delighted to learn that ginger, in small quantities, actually seems to contribute to the brighter notes, cutting through some of the sweet richness of the milk and (maybe) cardamom and vanilla along with the cinnamon.
When I've had coffee, I'm the kind of person who has to spice it up: yeah, I'm drinking coffee, I'll say as I drink something decadent with peppermint and white chocolate and a coffee base--it's less about the coffee than the frills, downplaying coffee's strength rather than complementing it. (My subsequent google made me cackle, because apparently a lot of coffee people actually really love black tea, and I couldn't find them more different. Mom was a coffee person, so I tried a fair bit of it and without an infusion of something, it was always so _bitter to me. But the dregs of the cup--which I figure come closest to the original tea flavor just tasted a little nutty, but so _fresh. Just such a different flavor profile, at least for me.)
