highly recommend listening to depeche mode and thinking about bill cipher really hard
[image description: a dramatically-shaded drawing of a human design of bill cipher from gravity falls done in a semi-realistic style. bill is depicted as a thin, androgynous man with short hair and an uncomfortably-wide smile. he is wearing a leather bodysuit with an eye of providence insignia on it. the drawing is done entirely in dark blue, bright red, and light yellow. end id]

They’re having discourse on Tiktok about attachment issues. Attachment. Issues. You know, the thing usually caused by some trauma or underlying mental issues. Cool, great. They love to victimize people with anxious attachment styles, while villainizing people who have avoidant attachment styles.
Both can be terrible to someone in a relationship.
Both are capable of recognizing that and changing it.
Call me chronically online all you fucking want, but if you believe someone is undeserving of love because of a trauma response, maybe it’s you who needs to take a step outside.

I’m gonna be strange in ur askbox …
Pheobe and Melody thoughts!! uh mm m
pheobe knows that she’ll never see Melody again. At least not for a while.
But she’ll talk to her. Even if she can’t hear her.
“Uh.. if you can hear me in the fabric of the universe, I miss you.”
And she’ll ramble on and on about what’s going on in her life. Maybe she’ll cry a little. Maybe she’ll cry a LOT.
can melody hear her from the other side? Maybe . Pheobe hopes she can.
Melody can hear her and listens to every word. Melody memorizes all of what Pheobe says. Melody will memorize what Pheobe says beat for beat and play the melody (get it?) in her head over and over again when she misses that damn ghostbuster.
Melody wishes she stayed, sometimes.
Melody wishes she didn’t let go, sometimes.
It gnaws at her spirit - it gnaws at the peace she feels in passing on.
But Pheobe is reminded of Melody’s weaving into the fabric of the universe when it’s the perfect temperature outside, when she gets a rush of adrenaline, when nights are quiet and she can work in peace.
Melody sprinkles little things into the world, just for her Pheobe.
The stars shine a little brighter and maybe for a little bit , Pheobe feels whole again.
you make me sick. thank you for sharing. im ill. (all /pos) UUGHAAHNFGG you GET IT. PHOEBE AND MELODY are THEEEE doomed yuri. the way that this relationship will irreparably affect her for the rest of her life. moving on is hard enough, but knowing that you were in love with a GHOST GIRL and you see her in EVERYTHING you do. phoebe takes doomed yuri and ramps it up a little 😭😭😭
i read something that was similar recently. i forgot where. but phoebe would talk about her feelings when she things no one is listening but secretly hope melody is listening. it helps her move on, even if she knows logically melody is gone. but is she really? she's in everything. she was everything. tells her about her day, about her family. how things get better, get easier, get worse sometimes. healing has never been a linear process after all :')
and then on the other side, melody :''') manifesting good things for phoebe. partially because of the tiny tugging guilt melody has for her lack of honesty - because phoebe had grown on her. she goes out of her way to just make the world a little bit lighter, a little bit kinder, more beautiful. phoebe grows a fondness for the moon, for the stars in the sky. for the warm evenings and cloudy mornings, for the busy-ness of new york city.
phoebe makes an effort to go to melody's diner routinely. she becomes a regular. she just misses her. so much.
(i accidentally KEPT rambling in the tags. i didnt mean to T_T)

abuse does not occur in a vaccum. sexual violence is not limited to specific people too "evil" to act otherwise. the reason these things happen is because the world around us not only allows it but encourages it and justifies it. people don't abuse because they are evil or have a "secret personality". its an access to power and control. its a reproduction of social scripts around how to access that power and control. its a reflection of how men are taught to observe women and the "lesser" people around them. ANYONE is capable of it, harming others is not under anyone if that is what we are implicitely taught others deserve. the more we pathologize perpetrators of sexual violence as secretly evil or irreparable deviant fiends, the more we place the onus on victims not to be capable of harm as well, and the more we justify harm against people who "deserved it" for "falling for" people who "seemed too good" to do it.

alright i kinda just wanted to get this off my chest in here but
we know that the 4th season of Bookworm is going to be animated by another more well known and budgeted studio, however i am afraid that the show might lose its charm
i mean like yeah it looks cheap but its like i can feel that it has soul even tho its raw, and its charming that way cos like you know its going to be one of those obscure unknown animes that just happens to be one of the greatest things ever
id prefer it to be that way rather than looking super shiny

I love your unhealthy clingy famous MC you don't understand how feral I'm over him
THANK YOU I LOVE HIM SO DEARLY TOO!!!!! the backstory with absent parents and just. everything about seven... i think makes a lot of infamous ocs potentially lean into this?? or at least there are a ton of choices that just made me go "oh yeah. that's him" . idk there is an element to how infamous is written that really helps with characterising him, including how customisable it is, and i do love that about this IF!!!!! crying about him below the cut <3
aki kind of navigates the world worried his loved ones will leave him and is a little too clingy because of it. he also has been playing those worries off by being charming, flirty and funny. like he can somehow project this hyper-extrovered version of himself and try to make people love that !!! he drops that more around his bandmates/friends, but not in front of people he's just met (please guess who accidentally escalated the bed fight on the tour bus)
aki also hooks up with people a lot, just cause he likes sex but also because he enjoys the no-strings-attached. because of those attachment issues, when he gets something that feels black and white to him, something one-and-done and he leaves in the morning, he can just. take feelings out the equation. he knows its not meant to last so he can just walk out (leave! hit da bricks!!! walk out!!!!!)
committing to a romantic relationship . you can imagine. is a little complicated due to all this LMFAO he just overthinks and worries before even getting into it, regardless of if it's reciprocated or not. between the one time he's actually into someone (seven) and how that ended (...badly) + the fact that deliriously avoiding commiting to anything except hookups = very little (none at all) actual dating experience. aki has no idea to deal with it and will balk. yeah this is immature of him but i have plans to make this guy character develop so hard throughout the course of infamous that he may implode
i love the genre of character where they're just going "i know i have a few issues, who doesn't, but honestly i think i'm well adjusted!!" <- they are not well adjusted. in fact they're worse than they think
also no one asked for the orionmance essay i sent my friend but here it is <3
