#643 #DontOverreact My daughter got her learner's permit the other day and I decided that she should drive home from the driver's license office. It was her first time driving on public streets. (We had practiced in parking lots before.) I'm glad to say we made it home in one piece. Not without a couple of scares on the way home though. It was difficult, but I didn't overreact when she had the near misses. If I had, I don't know what would have happened.  Gladly, she reflected my reaction and didn't overreact. She made the correction and we made it home ok.  The lesson here is that sometimes things can get heated and emotions can escalate. Take a breath as much as possible. Sometimes all we need is one. (Maybe that's all we have time for.)
