WELL THAT EXPLAINS A LOT.

I was having so much trouble fitting my 3D printed Reanimator on it's 50mm base. I ordered another off eBay, and it just came in today. Sure enough, the one I printed was about 25% too tall!

It was a smidge expensive but I'm glad I did it. If I want a second Reanimator in the future, I know how to scale the print down now.

at last finished the necron overlord and the other big boys in the patrol, the skorpekh destroyers and the big ol' doomstalker. may go back and give some finishing touches / tweaks, but after losing a fight with the bottle of tesseract glow because it doesn't seal properly when shaken, i'm going to take a break with that. for some of the smaller detail areas, i felt like i needed to borrow a microscope from work to be able to get the brush in without smearing green everywhere else. as for the bases, i have zero clue of what to do with that without overcomplicating it. plus i bought a doomsday arc cause that 72" ray just speaks to me, so gotta start assembling that. i've started reading the rules a bit more, so hopefully can have my first combat patrol game this coming tuesday or sometime soon.

honestly think the canoptek doomstalker might be my favorite new model from the necrons. If they ever get another monolith/obelisk style ultra heavy I’d love for it to be an Even Taller doomstalker. Please

Expanded my Canoptek Court with a Canoptek Doomstalker. Plus, I even found a printer to make me a doomsday blaster I could use to convert my reanimator into a second doomstalker. I'm just holding the blaster on with some museum putty right now.

Carried forward with the "Necron sigil" basing idea and I'm really happy with it.

I've finished painting my necron combat patrol!! Hot damn I can't believe I actually have a finished thing I could hypothetically play a Warhammer with 🤣

Those warriors are literally the first minis I ever painted, so it's fun seeing how things changed from them to the doomstalker.

I am particularly proud of the doomstalker. First time painting a model that big and actually thinking more about the base. Such a neat little guy
