Hi 👋 everybody, today was not the more agreeable day of my month, I did the fatal mistake to check my bank account, boy ! What a depressive experience 😔. Anyway, got back home to my #vinylecollection and this record was hanging there on the shelf with many others for years and I always neglected this motherf*cker for some reason, but feeling like I literally ain’t got nothing to lose (because of the bank thing 😞) , I was like ‘’F*ck it !! Let’s try this one today ‘’ then I really had an agreeable surprise in the form of this guitar and smooth keyboard studded intro. It was the beginning of my relief, it was magic. Thank God I first played the Side 2 of the album by mistake. It was the 2nd track, I was taken away from ruminating a bad day by this ‘’Flyer’’ song and for that I wanna thank the band #americanflyer for making this sh*tty #album #spiritofawoman with only one good song. Thanks #graigfuller , #erickaz , #stevekatz , #dougyule , you are not the heroes I needed but the ones that I deserve. And that’s it for #recordoftheday . Squeeze is the fifth and final studio album released by The Velvet Underground. 1973 on Polydor Records, it features no members of the #loureed -era group other than multi-instrumentalist #dougyule , who wrote and recorded the album almost entirely by himself. Yule had joined the #velvetunderground prior to recording their self-titled third album, replacing founding member #johncale , and had contributed significantly to the fourth album, #loaded . Following the departures of the remaining founding members (Reed and #sterlingmorrison ), Yule took control of the band. Longtime drummer #maureentucker was slated to appear on Squeeze by Yule, but she was dismissed by the band's manager, #stevesesnick . This copy is on Polydor Records - 2383-180. (On the album cover it is followed by SUPER, but not on the record label.) #squeeze failed to chart and quickly fell into obscurity after its release.
