The Smile

The Wall Of Eyes

The band of Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, and Tom Skinner. I've been waiting a long time for this album as Radiohead is one of my favorite bands and I'm highly critical of anything Thom puts out. Their single "Wall Of Eyes" was released last year that I've been listening to on repeat for a while. It feels like much of the production is leading this with Thom playing backup for many of the tracks. There is also some different musical influences spaced throughout each track from jazz, dream-pop which makes this incredibly easy on the ears. I'll be continuing to listen to this album as you can tell it's very complex; I just wish it moved me a bit more like Radiohead albums do.

My new dark-pop single REVOLVER is out now on Spotify!

REVOLVER is a dark-pop single I wrote from the perspective of a feminine anti-heroine setting out to enter her villain era. As women we all have different sides—seductive and soft, confident and beautifully vulnerable. I wanted to capture that duality through a story where the heroine is coming into her own and empowering herself to fight against anything that compromises her vision. For the setting of the song I drew inspiration from vintage black & white western movies with the dust, shootouts, inner-ring politics and outlaws.

I listened to this album four times through straight. This is absolutely everything I love in a metal album. It has great song structure, melodies and a great balance of scream-o. This really does put it on a 'Deafheaven' type of level for me and can't believe I haven't listened to them before. For anyone who wants melodic structured, but chaotic black metal, this is the album for you.
