Dover Boys but it's Ace Attorney

On April Fools Day, I wrote a parody of the Warner Bros. cartoon with aa characters. Gant, von Karma, and Blaise are the Dover Boys, Luke Atmey is Dan Backslide, and Wendy Oldbag is Dora Stanpipe

i remember a while back viv had a pride speed with all her "gay" characters, but the only ones showing any sign of affection besides an arm over the shoulder or a hug was addison and gustav (who were passionately making out). it was really weird

also she was part of and maybe ran (i forgot the details) a reanimated project? for a anti-drug psa?

Yeah, sounds like Viv's relationship with gay characters in a nutshell.

Never heard about the anti-drug PSA, but I know she was part of The Dover Boys reanimated. Definitely made that one slightly harder to watch, which is an incredible shame, because it's otherwise sublime.

Gooseworx's Cybergator but in plushie form!

This is part 3 of 5 of me drawing dumb plushie versions of Gooseworx's original music crew. Everyone loves TADC, me included, but I still have a soft spot for the first four.

In 2020 during the pandemic I got myself an art tutor online. It the beginning it was mainly 2D but he started teaching me 3D in Maya and now I love making 3D models.

There was one session he wanted to show me some animations from decades ago. "Alex (that's me, hello) have you ever watched The Dover Boys?"

"That's the one where the one guy says: 'They Drive Me to Drink!' and then downs like, 100 shots in a quick go?"

"That's the one! How'd you know about that?"

"I saw a reanimated version and that one scene sticks out to me because an artist I really admire did the one scene I mentioned. Well, not the drinking part, but him yelling."

"Oh, I've seen that! Wasn't that scene done by Gooseworx?"

"You know who Gooseworx is?"

"Yeah! She was the mind behind 'Little Runmo'! I remember a staff member at the college I work at showing it to me and we were all blown away! She makes masterpieces!"

I was astonished. I knew her work got millions of views but even college professors knew of her like a household name!

Dover Boys Reanimated - this PAN SHOT, I STG

I was in the Dover Boys Reanimated thing that was released recently - Zeurel did a fantastic job organizing it, and it was the first time I’d done any coordinating over Discord. I am fast becoming a Discord fan. I got the “alert young scout” shot, and that involves this pan background. I haven’t done backgrounds as much, and this one put me through the ringer. I also had to reformat a 4:3 original into the 16:9 that the reanimated version was compiled in. The file at full resolution was so large it gave me a ton of problems. This one here is only a fraction of that size, but it’s still a lot. Lesson learned - be careful with pan shots!

My scene for the Dover Boys Re-animated project! I snagged the memeiest part amazingly. I’m still learning, but for what its worth I had fun doing this! I need to experiment with toon boom a lot more.

Mu favorite part about Viv’s art style is that it always looks better when not used on her own characters. People say the art style is unappealing but that’s not it, what’s ugly is the designs. Look up her fanart for literally anything else zootopia, wander over yonder, bojack horseman, book of life her animation of naughty mabel and they look good. For someone who really wants her og work to be recognized she does her best with what other people give her.

Truth. Just look at her spot in the Dover Boys reanimated project. i
