So what would you guys say are your favorite episodes of The Series?
ArtistIssues
My favorites are:
Tumblr media
Spooky - Probably some of the best animation in the show is in this episode, plus they nail the Halloween-spooky-fun vibe, it’s fun to see the nervous-scared side of Stitch’s personality, and Spooky’s whole function is so genius! And almost everything Pleakley says in this episode makes me laugh.
Tumblr media
Splodyhead - I’ve always loved this episode. I love Splodyhead, too. I particularly like episodes where characters who hate each other are forced to work together on a desert island. That’s a trope I’m here for!
Tumblr media
Poxy - I love Poxy. When I was a kid I used to ride around the neighborhood on a scooter pretending to be him and his slick little germ self.
Tumblr media
627 - This episode was so so cool when I was a kid. I love 627’s black claws and how all-out they went designing him. Plus, again, an episode where we’re shown how unstoppable Stitch always is, until he isn’t anymore, is such a cool break from the norm.
Tumblr media
Bonnie & Clyde - I adore the different musical score in this episode, and I love Bonnie & Clyde’s dynamic together and the fact that they can speak English, but they’re rotten little alien life form stinkers. And I love Pleakley in this episode, too. I could just rate every episode based on Pleakley moments. But then I’d have to add Holio to this list which is already too long!
Doverstar will chime in, too! Doverstar:
Angel - It's my #1 favorite episode of the show, for sure. It hits all the nostalgic notes for me. Angel is my favorite experiment, and though the animation in this episode is terrible, I'm a huge fan of Angel's color palette in it and the idea behind the episode. The fact that love is what turns Angel from bad to good - and that it's Stitch who names Angel and changes her, instead of Lilo, which was the norm - love that. Plus it's cool there's an experiment in the 600's series that exists whose primary function is literally the opposite of the goal of the series.
Remmy - I like this one because of the emotional plot, and the fact that it focuses on Lilo and her mind and the lasting affects of her parents' death on the family. Any particularly deep Lilo-centric episode is a standout in my book! As a kid, the heavily-decorated "door" in Lilo's dream, which she says always has "bad things" on the other side of it, was super creepy and interesting to me. I remember thinking even at that age that the scene of her parents' actual crash would be behind that door, or maybe their gravestones, or maybe just a flashback of the night they didn't come home. I both did and did not want to see that. But no, instead it was Lilo's hula school and disarmingly-kind classmates, which is also interesting! All in all, it's my second favorite because of the slightly-deeper-than-usual subject matter. 627 - This one is purely nostalgia-based for me. The 627 episode was one of the all-time coolest to us growing up, like Arti said! Lots of her reasons for listing this one are the same as mine. Always cool to see Stitch come to terms with the fact that though he's pretty cool, he's not always the best at everything. And extra wonderful to hear Lilo say something like "So what if you're not king of the block anymore? You're still king of my block." So. Good. So sweet. Love that. Shoe - Shoe is one of my top 5 favorite experiments. I like the plot in this episode and the animation in it too! I like Pleakley's comedy beats, and the idea of turning the old ship into a B&B was genius for a show about aliens living on Kauai. Perfect. But Shoe's lil emotional journey makes me very happy. His sole purpose is for the gain of other people, and he's at least intelligent enough to understand that people only seem to value him for what he can do for them, and then finding out Lilo specifically likes him even when he's bad luck? 10/10. One of those times where part of the episode isn't just catching the cousin or showcasing the shenanigans its abilities get the cast into, but showing how the experiment goes from bad to good and why. Dupe - Because Dupe's design delights me, because the writing in this episode is fantastic, because the idea of a slumber party at Lilo's house with the experiments instead of four bratty human girls who'd ruin all the fun anyway is awesome, and because in the end, Lilo gets another reminder that even if she wants lots of friends, having one like Stitch at her side is more than good enough. Retro - I always wanted this one to air often on TV growing up, specifically because it was later in the show and therefore rarer to see rerunning. I thought Retro's ability was so cool, and I was especially interested in the little glimpses of Nani's life before becoming sole caretaker of Lilo. Plus the setting of a cruise ship is always fun! Swapper - Lilo gets a human friend Lilo gets a human friend Lilo gets a human friend LILO GETS A HUMAN FRIEND- Snooty - Victoria gets an experiment of her own, Snooty is precious and Halloween-y, more looks at Victoria/Lilo's friendship, Pleakley driving is hilarious, and the ending gets me every time. Amnesio - Gantu? An excellent friend for Lilo? Latent protective affection for the cute little Earthling? It's more likely than you think- Bad Stitch - I like this one because it has some of my favorite Lilo/Stitch moments. It also seems to have unused material from the original movie? Maybe? I don't know, but Chris Sanders seems like the kind of guy who would suggest more of Lilo training Stitch like a "puppy" and squirting him with the stupid water bottle. I especially love the ending, where Lilo tells Stitch she knows he's good, even if he breaks things. And how Stitch wants to behave because Lilo asks him to, and she loves him, and that's why he wants to behave. Love that. The Asteroid - Jumba recognizing that Earth is his home and that the Pelekais are his family waters my crops and clears my skin. And I love watching the whole Ohana work together on a planet-saving space trip.

Doverstar Has it really been 20 years since Arti and I sat in that theater in FL, summer of 2002, watching Lilo and Stitch for the first time?
Apparently yes. Happy, happy anniversary to Disney's most unique film, the one that started this big franchise we got hooked on. (Yes, we're 2 days late.) This movie is unlike any other for our family, which shows, I think - since we're adults and to this day are still making fanart and fancanons for it. Thanks for 20 years made richer by this story, @chrissandersart-blog!
ArtistIssues drew Lilo and Stitch (obviously - look at that ACCURACY, did it come out of a Disney storybook OH MY GOSH-) and Doverstar drew Stitch and Ani (pastel and off-kilter to the last)! Happy 20 years, guys!

Doverstar UPDATE: Arti is very rarely available to respond to questions these days (new job keeps her very, very busy), so please note that questions about the Experiments in general, especially about her fanmade Experiments as well as 621's arc and anything about him will probably go unanswered for much longer than questions that are not about those things! I will not be answering questions about that half of the story without her input, and she can't answer them as quickly as I can answer these days. Just bear that in mind! :)

Art coming soon!
ArtistIssues and I have collaborated on a small art piece to celebrate the original Lilo and Stitch turning 20 this year! But even though I said it would be posted today, I'm going to have to move that to June 18th, tomorrow, instead! So stay tuned! Tomorrow there will be a little bit of fanart. ^^ Thanks!

looks like Ani has something in common with one of Stitch's cousins! they're on top of Jumba and Pleakley's ship (Bed-And-Not-Breakfast) if that's not obvious, and it's early morning hours on Hawaii, which I'm obsessed with Page's name, like all the other Experiments', is listed at the end of Leroy and Stitch, but this design for her (and personality) belongs solely to ArtistIssues! She knows Page is my favorite of her designs. So I tried. She's not correct size-wise in a lot of the panels (hands and stuff) but I'm still pleased with it!

Hi guys! We love you all a ton. And we do love all your questions. But above are examples of WHAT NOT TO ASK. We only have two rules (one of them isn't depicted above) when you ask questions on our flimsy little Stitch and Ani blog:
1. Don't ask ArtistIssues to reveal things about unseen Experiments until her design for it drops. It's hard work making original Experiments and she's asked you guys not to. 2. DO NOT ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT CANON EXPERIMENTS FROM LILO AND STITCH: THE SERIES if the question does not have to do with Stitch and Ani or the characters specific to Stitch and Ani (like unseen cousins, Kai, Ani, Zeke, or the Stitch and Ani timeline.) Don't ask what canon Experiments do, where they live, how their powers work, or anything like that. Those Experiments' stories were already told in Lilo and Stitch: the Series and we're not here to fill in any plotholes from that show. We're only here to tell OUR story with OUR version of the characters/unseen Experiments.
Which is why it's not fun to get questions about canon Experiments or the original series. Ask about Stitch and Ani. Ask about that story and those characters, please, and don't ask Arti or Doverstar to divulge details on unseen Experiments before their designs have dropped, or details on the main plot until Dover has released them in some medium or the 'thoughts//' tag. From now on, if your question never got answered, it's because you broke these 2 rules and we deleted it. In love! We like the questions! Just please respect our wishes. Love you guys! Really! :D

ATTENTION, FOLLOWERS!
This is important, please read it:
I, Doverstar, and ArtistIssues (Experiment authority/co-runner of this blog) have news for you, wonderful followers. We love ALL of your questions, but I have to make a disclaimer of sorts. *ahem*...
We are not here to answer questions about Lilo and Stitch: the Series. We are not here to solve all the little problems the writers left unsolved in the show. We are not here to answer anything you were curious about when it comes to the Experiments in the television show, or plot holes in Lilo and Stitch: the Series, or loose ends that were never tied up. We're not the authority on those subjects; we just have opinions. We are not here to fix Lilo and Stitch: the Series.
We like that show the way it is! This blog is for my/our fancanon, Stitch and Ani. We are here to tell the story of Stitch and Ani, not to fix the story of Lilo and Stitch: the Series. So, a friendly, soft request from us, the two creators who really like you guys:
Stop asking questions about Lilo and Stitch: the Series. We love you, and we love all the questions! But we really want to focus on Stitch and Ani. That's what this blog is for. Keep asking questions about Experiments, and 621 and his gang, but please make sure your question is not about Experiments we've already seen and what happened with them in or near or directly after Lilo and Stitch: the Series. Please try to ask questions about Experiments you haven't seen yet, or what Experiments you have seen are now doing in 2030, during the time of Stitch and Ani! Anything in that area is fine. We love it all! Again, you guys are great, don't stop asking questions. Just don't ask questions about Lilo and Stitch: the Series.
This isn't a fix-it for Lilo and Stitch: the Series. That show is great on its own, as it is. This is a silly little fan continuation of the franchise, not a fan explanation for what's already happened in the first show. Thank you! We appreciate and love you guys. :)

Okay, we know we've been kinda quiet since Christmas, but we're also really busy in real life. [We've been more or less hired to brainstorm a cartoon series with a handful of other Christian artists around the globe, and most of our creative focus is going to that, not this silly/sweet fanon sideblog.] But we appreciate the MASSIVE amounts of unanswered questions in our inbox, and any notes our past posts happen to get! Rest assured we keep our skills fresh by making S&A content on the side; we just don't have time to touch it up/finish it/post it yet. Thank you for hanging in there, followers! We'll be back, but posts with actual art will be few and far between for now. Stick around! Love you! -Doverstar and ArtistIssues

Hey, hey! I'm loving this blog but I'm trying to find like a beginning post or something or just somewhere I can start with to understand what's going on. If you could give some recommendations on where to start, what should I read, please do tell 🤣
Doverstar: Welcome to our L&S junkyard ^^ For starters, an explanation of what this thing is: this is a blog I made to dump all the content (art, stories, thoughts, and Q&A with anyone interested) for my headcanon/fancanon I call Stitch and Ani, which is just the story of what happens next in the Lilo and Stitch franchise. With some help from ArtistIssues, who designs all the unseen Experiments and knows all about the villains of the story. Here's a bit of a reference guide for you, since we're not super official or organized around here past these links I'm bout to give you:
Page 1 of the whole blog is here. If you wanna just...start by what was first posted and read it all chronologically? 😅 The "About Stitch & Ani" section is here, which tells you origins and basically...what...everything is. :D Characters/Descriptions, which will give you a lot of footing in terms of what's going on. Some info on the people behind the story! Questions that have already been answered. There is SO MUCH information in these answers. Seriously. If you like to read...read them all. It will tell you so much and prepare you in case you even care enough to ask your own questions 😄 The fanart is all here. The stories are here. But really if you just want any of these main links, it's best to go to the actual blog page instead of your tumblr dashboard (which you may've done already by the time I post this answer!). I hope you enjoy the stuff you find here! We really like questions. A lot. So if you ever have any, or any comments or anything, don't hesitate! It's a nice feeling when people are interested in what we make.

I'm guessing Pasthole and Futurehole have time powers. Are Pasthole and Futurehole able to time travel like Skip and the time board are able to physically bring people to different times, or are they more like projectors that show images of what did, will, or might happen? I ask because time travel is always hard to figure out.
Doverstar ArtistIssues has said before that she won't divulge unseen Experiments' functions or backstories until their design is finished and posted, sorry! And I agree, time travel is always tricky.

How long do you think it will take you to finish this project? If you were to start posting one experiment per week it would take about 8 years to finish them all.
ArtistIssues
About the Experiments, I have no set time limit for myself. I do know that with emoluna’s help, it’s going much more quickly (and more fun! She’s the best!) Doverstar’s been working on the Stitch & Ani headcanon for ten years now, and she can say more about that. For me, it’s like going to Disney World: PLANNING the trip is just as much fun as actually going. Planning and creating concepts for Experiments and Stitch & Ani is just as much fun as producing something “finished.” Plus, this way, we get to interact with other Lilo & Stitch fans and get feedback and answer questions while we’re still creating, instead of after everything is finished. I like it better this way.
Doverstar
I don’t think they’re interested in how long it’ll take me with the overall story/main cast. They’re talking to you 👍
(I do appreciate that we get to interact with other L&S fans, though, good point!)

Did Jumba "reprogram" any cousins like Felix and Bugby, and for what purpose?
Doverstar:
A few have been reprogrammed (Arti knows better than I do), and I considered having Angel reprogrammed. [Basically because 621 could use her abilities to do massive damage, but I think it suits him better to convince the other Experiments to turn back to their old ways of their own accord. So Angel's not reprogrammed, it was just an idea.]
As far as I know, Felix and Bugby were the only ones who needed reprogramming, though that could change. I think Experiments like Nosy are at a disadvantage there - for example, Nosy is designed to get all the goods on everyone, specifically for wartimes or strategies against one's enemies, but you can see from his episode that he's kinda useless at that because he has enough independence in his programming to be interested only in harmful gossip. (Still evil, way to go, Jumba.) So he might need to be reprogrammed (or at the very least, differently motivated) to actually discover secrets that are necessary for the benefit of humanity. My thought is he'd head into work with Cobra Bubbles and the CIA, a little like Shush, to get in on the more difficult-to-reach secrets of the enemy. I think Checkers might need a little reprogramming as well; you can't have an Experiment running around that causes people to lose all sense of free will! I think he'd work well in plays (and still in parades) where he'd help inspire actors (or audiences) to treat whoever's playing the part of royalty like royalty, but not as an absolute power over others. Just the ability to cause the wearer to be seen as regal for that short period of time, you know? ArtistIssues will probably add her thoughts in an edit to this post later, though, so check back in for that!
ArtistIssues
Yes, hello! I haven’t finished building my whole Experiment database, but so far I can tell you with certainty that Blandzilla was also reprogrammed! He was designed to drain the creativity or quirkiness, if you will, out of someone by touching them. Then he grows larger. His One True Place was with Sprout at the Kokaua Town Fair as a Dinosaur-themed slide. But of course, Jumba had to reprogram him a little so that he wasn’t sucking the personality out of every kid that rode down his back! Now, when Blandzilla touches someone, he can control whether or not he drains their quirkiness, and in the Fair’s off season he used his ability to help tourists who were in Hawaii on business relax. This made him an easy target for 621, who couldn’t have a giant enemy stomping on his plans. On deviantArt I featured this lore about him with this art piece:

If you see something tagged "ArtistIssues posts" or any variant of that ["Arti posts" or something], it means ArtistIssues (who also has access to this blog) is the one who wrote it/posted it/drew it/thought of it. And if it says "Doverstar posts" or any variant of that, it means it was me. just wanted to clear that up
