Do you ever just get so tired and end up writing secononondly, unsure why it looks a lil off 👁👁
#3 french exams on Friday weeeelp#But I’m feeling so down because I wasn’t confident enough to pay €100+ to do the DELF b2 exam last week#Yesterday I was told that everyone passed the B2 DELF - even those who are doing the B1 uni course instead#And so it got me thinking why do I just * not * believe in my exam taking ability when people in the B1 course can pass the B2 🫠#(( I am super happy for them though !!! Especially for two ppl who can now apply to uni courses in January like they wanted ! ))#Hopefully I can pass in March 🤞#I just want that diploma so I can stop paying €900-2700 every year in Irish uni tuition fees 😭#Also it would be nice to have a lil paper saying I can do ze French a bit#Because some days I feel like my french skills are non existent ( like yesterday when it took wayyy too long to compute the number 95 )

Nice to see this article about Barbie Fashion Designer on Kotaku, but also genuinely amazed that apparently "we" forgot all about Barbie Fashion Designer, probably the second best video game I have ever played.
#I hadn't been aware that this was sort of a breakthrough moment in 'games for girls'#I just thought it was a fun computer game#I also thought that the touch typing program my dad got for me was a fun computer game though#I can't remember if I had any success printing out the patterns on the special paper but I do remember the special paper?#I mostly just designed the clothes and did the bit where Barbie modelled them#she wouldn't go down the runway if you didn't pick shoes#she would say 'don't forget my shoes!' and you'd have to pick something before you could see the catwalk animation#however she would walk the runway wearing only shoes and her underwear#but I would never question the internal consistency of barbie's standards of dress#it is not for me to second guess barbara millicent roberts#also apparently digital domain was also working on the effects for titanic at the time#and the lead programmer on the barbie fashion designer project was pissed off with them for stealing all their server time#and called it 'that stupid boat movie'

gods, why didn't i get a college degree in anything useful?
#i've known since the day it unceremoniously came in the mail that my degree is worth less than the paper it's printed on#yeah i needed to college experience for social and lersonal growth#but why couldn't i have gotten something out of it that can help me find a damn job?#what was the fucking point of going through all that?#(the social and personal growth obviously)#ahgggggg#i'm too broke and disabled to go back to school NOW#(the way i'm coping with the anxiety of waiting to hear back about the internal job i just interviewed for#is to have Officially Decided That I'll Be Rejected Out Of Hand. So What Do I Do Next?#it hurts but at least i can move forward if the worst come to pass#and it gives me something to do while i'm Waiting#ughhhhh#why couldn't i have sold my damn soul and gotten the shitty computer science degree my school had??#i remember visiting a house a friend was pet-sitting for and seeing the couple's gaming setup#and just seeing dollar signs. they both worked in computer science and made $$$#but at the time it sounded like the worst thing in the world#and i'd already changed my major once... loved what i was studying... and had my dad breathing down my neck about how much my education cost#i'm so lucky i don't have debt. thanks to my grampa. but holy hell did my dad lord that inheritance over me and make me dance for it#i don't think he ever got over grampa pulling *his* college funding bc he spent college fucking around and dropped out#couldn't wrap his head around that the narrow thing he'd trained me to be would never follow in his 'rebelious' footsteps#i beat myself up over A-'s there was no way i'd do anything other than take my grades seriously#but that was the problem. i was worried about grades and what sounded bearable to learn. not what was realistic to do with it#i wanted to get a fucking phd! with what fucking money!!!!#of course not that i had the support or the maturity to understand what it meant to choose an education that could grant me a career#but who can i blame if not myself?#dad always said i had to Go To College. there was no choice in not going. but as soon as college came he shoved me out the door#and slammed shut. how was i supposed to know what to do without him there to make me do things all of a sudden?#that took nearly a decade to learn dammit#personal

Lately? It's been a while since I've sketched on paper, but lately I've been using this shitty little art app called Artflow
There are features you have to pay to unlock but I never pay for
This is immensely funnier when you know my brother pays for one of the Good Adobe art apps on the computer but I never use them because I've gotten so used to drawing with my finger on my phone
#and that fucker is basically his computer even though it has my name on it#i refuse to pay for anything digital art related#because... idk lmao#ask game#it's that or usual simple pen on paper sketches#it's been a while since i honestly sat down and tried to sketch something good out on paper#i can paint but I don't want to ruin them accidentally somehow so i just... hoard the good paints

My freshman year of college I cried every day for an entire semester just because I LIKED this boy like nothing had happened I was just GOING THROUGH IT over liking him from a distance and do you know what happened. At the very end of the semester he invited me to his formal as an obvious last resort because he invited me the morning of the event. And then we never really spoke in any very meaningful way again. But the moral of the story is he did invite me to the formal

Art Summary 2022
(2020, 2021)
Here we go again! Many fun things this year.
I started with my lovely tessellation labyrinth!
For mixed media stuff I was first entranced with Alcina's costumes when I went to the opera after such a long time
And then of course made another big Naruto piece, probably my favorite mixed media piece, the textures really work together with this one
I also did a lot of small origami stuff as usual, and figured out crease patterns while I was at it :)
Got really into curved origami too
Did some blender stuff as well, including my biggest piece yet!
And finally for the third year in a row we're finishing it and beginning the next with a labyrinth! Here's some paper testing, see you in a couple month for my ryûjin hedge maze :)

i think the room i am in is making me bitter as hell and i think i know just the thing to make it better.
#tomorrow i am moving my stuff to the other room that involves my computer and my amp#i'm too tight in here! and i think i came up w the perfect solution to not being able to stick anything on the walls but also 'hiding' them#fabric! yrs ago i got this kinds translucent black fabric that i put on the ceiling but i am putting it on the walls now#i am not gonna use the same one i mean. idk where it is know#now* and ok were those cohetes or balazos anyways#i guess i'm also changing a lot of how i do the room but if i work hard enough on it i know i'll finally get a room i can calmly sleep in:)#and like in general live in#i am also getting a desk for the other room eventually (semi fantasizing of making it but sh)#and the other day i saw these things to put papers on and they'll be rlly helpful soon#i am gonna be fine. finally#my definition of fine is 'regardless of how good or bad i felt through the day i am stable enough to calm down' and idk . ik i am always#gonna have an issue w something and shit but i will be less going through and more getting through. living through.#incantations
