As an aspiring writer and filmmaker, what are the connections or "themes" that my work has and share with each other. It's actually much more simple on my end with this:
• They tend to always focus on unconventional type of protagonists fighting against the highest stakes there is. But despite that sounding fairly interesting for a simple paragraph, there's much more to it than that. First off, the protagonists or even the ensembles are not at all the type of characters you'd ever expect or think of being the heroes. They're the bullies, criminals, blue collar workers, CDC doctors, rat exterminators, cynical schlubs, elderly grandfathers or grandmothers, spoiled brats, cheerleaders, truck drivers, shady and sleazy private detectives, sarcastic grumps, priests, former deadbeat parents trying to put their lives back together, the sexy but quick-tempered goth girl, drug dealers, cartel members, morticians, dysfunctional families, the town drunk, struggling drug addicts or even a little girl with a burnt scar on the side of her face. These are all no matter what the numerous type of people who you don't usually see as the heroic characters who save the day. These aren't the strong jawed, posing, good-looking Hollywood heroes like Superman, the Guardians Of The Galaxy, Optimus Prime, Luke Skywalker or Wonder Woman — god no, instead these are heroes in the exact same category as Jack Sparrow from the Pirates Of The Caribbean Trilogy, Walter White from Breaking Bad, Koichi Shikishima from Godzilla Minus One, Aldo Raine from Inglourious Basterds and Trevor Philips from Grand Theft Auto V.
That said however, all of the protagonists do grow, develop and even at times become better people over the course of the story. Most of them all have moral codes (standards basically) and always end up doing the right thing.
As for the stakes, these aren't just the odds. These are big. Big stakes that affect them and even everything and everyone they've ever loved or cared about. The stakes in my work are always - and I mean ALWAYS - huge. And no, it's not "Oh, it's the end of the world and the final battle is in New York City" but they are big, deadly, dangerous, high-edge stakes.
• Another thing is that the events of any of my work are either caused, furthered or BOTH by the protagonists and characters' actions and thus are more than character-driven. They make HUGE decisions, they even sometimes depending on which or who make the wrong choices, they don't do what they should've done and regardless of whether what they did was right, all of this leads to repercussions that build and culminate to the climax and end.
• The villains are never these one dimensional, generic, mustache-twirling villains who are just 100% evil all the way. Instead, the villains are intimidating, scary, charismatic, intelligent, threatening and even at times tragic characters. The ones who are tragic show it through moments and go out on their own sacrificial terms while the ones who aren't tragic have codes to them and make their presence known whenever they're on screen. We're not talking about again strong jawed, posing, good-looking Hollywood villains like Loki, Lex Luthor, Doctor Doom, Evelyn Deavor (good lord, that pun name is just dumb as hell) or Hans of the Southern Isles — nah, god no, instead these are the villains in the exact same category as Jared Nomak from Blade II, Dr. Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus from Spider-Man 2, Davy Jones from Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest & At World's End, Syndrome from The Incredibles and Dr. Thaddeus Sivana from Shazam!.
• Last but not least, all of my work have genuinely bittersweet endings where the villain or villains and threat are defeated for good with no chance of coming back but sacrifices are made on the heroes side therefore they don't always end very happily. It shows us that not everything has a happy ending regardless of what it is.
Here's an example:
Tumblr media
I have this whole entire, fully fleshed-out idea for a Kim Possible reboot called Global Justice and this is how it'll end:
After Kim and Shego have a heated argument about the former's future now that she's about to graduate high school, Shego realizes that she was wrong and that her reasons for not letting Kim go are selfish of her. But when she goes to apologize to Kim and admit her mistake, she shockingly finds that Kim has gone behind her back and done something that sets in motion the events of the series finale.
The bittersweet ending here is that the main threat that's been built up since the ending of the five-part premiere is finally defeated, all heroes come together and the day is at long last saved with the surviving villains being put to rest.... BUT due to everything that's just happened because of her, Shego has lost all trust in Kim that's been built and earned throughout the whole series with the final scene in the show being this —
Flying through the night sky over a now safe Middleton in their purple car as a full-on homage to the final moment in the original series, Kim in the front seat and Shego driving are sitting in complete silence with their hair blowing in the wind. It's then that a guilty and almost somber Kim says "I'm sorry, Shego. For everything".
To which Shego replies with this....
"I know you are, Kim. You're my girlfriend and nothing will ever change that. I brought you into all this from day one and nothing will ever change that. I will always love you no matter what and nothing will ever change that. But after everything that's just happened, from now until I don't know when, my trust is something that you're gonna have to earn back".
Kim then hangs her head down in shame, visibly heartbroken, while Shego continues driving emotionlessly into the moon.
Cue end credits.
Kim ended up fulfilling her goal in the show but at the cost of a loved one's trust. And it's Shego of all people.

The Start of Something Awful
@werewolfpine said I should post my writing and I’m doing it because I will literally never post unless someone forces me to, here’s a snippet of the lore of How Doc Ock Comes To Be, featuring my/Ock’s actual mind thought mannerisms. Technically this has only my S/I Oliver and Doctor Octavius a little at the front end, because I do my best work when it’s one character who thinks too much.
Word Count: ~1.4k Warnings: Self-harm (minor), queasiness (minor), astonishingly sarcastic narrator voice
“Hoshino.”
Oliver looks up from the box; as much as people focused on biorobotics, he rather preferred the metal things he’d been working on. None of that confusion of the ‘bio’ aspect. Cold techne and cold metal, a perfect compliment to his frozen heart. Looked up at his teacher- professor, Otto Octavius, and said nothing.
“The test results..?”
Of course! How could he possibly forget the mind-crippling endeavor of writing up a lab report for the sake of his dear professor? It would never pass off as science if he didn’t suffer the hideous toil of turning his experiment into a report; let it be known that the gods themselves would forbid anyone to simply look at the raw data and draw their own conclusions- no, he has to bring their attention to that all himself.
Ability to self-replicate- [Y] Hive mind program- [Y] Formation of simple and complex shapes- [Y] Link to human minds- concept phase. Mobile complex shapes- concept only. Modify macro chemicals within human body- tested in organic slurry, dubious results. Anything else that could be interesting- hasn’t been conceptualized yet.
“Would you call it a success?”
“If it teaches something new, it is a success.”
“Then have you been taught anything?”
Oh, doctor, do not pretend! This is all just a reinvention of the wheel at this point. Smaller and still programmable they may be, but these are all things that have been done before. They were done decades ago, before everyone found biological machinery to hold more promise. What then is there to learn? Humans disagree with metal, that has been the lesson. Oliver answers in so dry a tone; “discussion section: page three. Sir.”
“So I read.” Oliver returns his attention to his robots, still attentive to the good doctor’s words; “you sound irritated- both in the paper and at present.”
It is proper to smile and shake his head, to set the doctor’s concerns to rest. He fails this task, and in the same dry tone; “I’m not. I have concerns that this research is dated at best.”
“Then you are-.”
Interrupting, and how uncharacteristic that was- “I don’t have the time to be emotional, in any event.” The professor seemed off-put by that. Indeed, it was rude of Oliver to interrupt; he makes note of that, and fails to realize that describing himself as necessarily emotionless might instead be the reason for the doctor’s discomfort. Even the good Doctor Octavius had room to be emotional when good or ill fortune struck.
There was a pause, a little too long, before the doctor spoke- he’d turned back only to give a half-question; “I trust that you can be left alone in the lab, Oliver?”
“Yes, Dr. Octavius.” Really, this was such a dumb question. Could Oliver be trusted? Of course not; every faculty member would agree, if they only knew the contents of his mind. Which made it a rather good thing, how very skilled in keeping his thoughts under lock and key he was. Not with his friends of course. With friends you were expected to share a certain amount of information, and in turn they shared meaningless data points that helped one curry good favor if one kept it all in mind. What a fun game that was, sifting through all that data and hoping you came across anything of interest.
Ah. And he was alone. The professor had left without him noticing.
“And if I am consumed by the plague I now set loose upon the earth, thus was my fate since the moment I was born; not God nor Man could stop me or my creations; Pandora, I call upon thee.” He was alone, could he not be dramatic? The box was opened, and the robots did... Absolutely nothing.
Oh good, they hadn’t developed sentience while he acted out his drama.
A scalpel he’d pilfered from his sibling on a recent trip home; it was perhaps not the cleanest, but it would serve to sever, given he’d sharpened it against bricks and stones when he’d had a moment to do so. The only issue now was to shut down his self-preservation instincts, which barely allowed a scratch to be made against himself. But not seeing the place he would cut made easier the act, and he cut into the skin that made up the hair line just behind and below his right ear.
The incision was easier than he’d expected, perhaps because it was so much closer to his dreams’ completion than anything else had been before. He pretends to be surprised by the blood, but to what end? No one is around.
He starts his computer up, watches the robots come to life, and opens up the file “Concept_Phase.chk”. Checkpoint reached, your game will now auto-save, he hums; for the first time he feels the striking chill of fear. He thinks perhaps it is the first time in his life, but knows instinctively this cannot be the case. Either way, one error at this point would be so much more devastating.
They were crawling into that bloodied cut now. He should have worn a different shirt, but at least the black on this one might spare the rest from carrying a stain. They were a horrible itching sensation in his skin- he forces his hand stationary, to meddle now is more threatening. It is most threatening; he does not understand the limits of the human body, but he does understand the delicacy of the brain.
And they are in his brain.
That is the most terrifying part of it all, and he suppresses the urge to vomit. Brains are such delicate things and he has put so many bits of metal into his. He suppresses the urge to stand and run from this horrible thing that he has done. He stays stock still, and feels fear in every muscle and every nerve ending of his body.
And they are in his brain.
He woke up, cold, and pushed himself off the floor. Linoleum or plastic tile- didn’t matter, it was cold. He almost felt annoyance- hadn’t he been doing something? It was awfully uncharacteristic of him to sleep in the lab. The computer lab, maybe, but this wasn’t that.
Oh fuck the robots and the cut- he grasps at his neck, drawing his hand away with the full expectation to pull away half-scabbed gunk, or blood still running. Nothing. He sighed. Maybe it was another dream- maybe he was still dreaming. Dreaming of being something worthy of pride and love, instead of the falsehood he’d built himself into. Of being a worthwhile investment on the part of his parents and friends. Of being something better than this, whatever this was.
Log onto his computer- and how very strange! He’d never run the checkpoint file before, if it was a dream, so why was there a .log version now? It was suddenly beginning to feel very much not like a dream. Uneasiness, like so many maggots in his stomach, seemed to eat at him. He reached up and closed the box that had once been the house of his pride, and scanned over the .log file.
Program terminated successfully.
Oh thank the gods and devils both. It was successful.
But they were in his brain, now. Theoretically, he should be able to interact with them, if all had gone according to plan. He tried not to think about how unsanitary last night’s actions were, or rather to think about that instead of the presence of so much non-biological material now swarming around in his skull. He could feel the crawling- the sensation of parasites under his skin, but how much of that was simply psychological? He couldn’t say.
“Not nearly enough time to run any sort of experiment on them,” he sighed; class would begin soon. Sure, he was already in the building, but still. “How disappointing. How many are left in there?” He finally bothered to stand up and check the box; maybe if he… tried to input commands to those ones? There were still plenty in there; doesn’t take that much metal to make a computer chip inside one’s head then.
They stirred, sluggish and confused. They had never moved of their own accord before... Responsive? Again, move again- and they did. They swayed with little ripples, ocean waves almost.

Marvel's Spider-Man Player Attractions Hidden Facts Regarding Doc Ock's Lab
A Marvel's Spider-Man player just recently found some concealed details about Otto Octavius's research laboratory, consisting of exactly how it was once an auto repair shop.
An eagle-eyed Wonder's Spider-Man gamer lately found some fascinating side details concerning Dr. Octavius's research laboratory, consisting of some hints regarding what it used to be before Otto leased it out for his research.
Insomniac's seriously acclaimed 2018 superhero sandbox adventure is full of lots of Easter Eggs to the bigger Wonder World, including indications that heroes like Physician Strange, Adventurer, as well as Ant-Man are potentially active while Spider-Man is swinging around in New York City.
There are also a number of enjoyable little side information regarding Peter Parker as well as his world of sustaining personalities, such as a touching and also relatable text conversation in between Peter and his cherished Auntie Might within Wonder's Spider-Man's in-game social networks feed.
Mentioning those near to Peter, one of the key characters in the first Wonder's Spider-Man video game is Dr. Otto Octavius, an originally well-meaning researcher as well as coach to Spidey when the hero isn't taking down criminals.
Based on practice, Otto eventually descends into villainy as the multi-limbed Doc Ock, a story spin that is foreshadowed by a covert information in Wonder's Spider-Man's Image Setting. Before that though, Dr. Octavius as well as Peter spend a reasonable little the video game's plot researching mechanical arm or legs - consisting of Doc Ock's signature steel arms - in an unrefined research laboratory in Greenwich.
Gamers frequently visit this lab to help Otto with his experiments by finishing side puzzles, and also Peter uses the facility to build the Anti-Ock Shield he puts on throughout Wonder's Spider-Man's individual and emotional last boss fight against the dropped scientist.
Reddit individual Razkal719 had played through Marvel's Spider-Man no less than 5 times on the PlayStation 4 and four times on the PS5 when they lastly saw a couple of side details in Otto's laboratory that expose that it was once an auto service center (by means of Game Tirade). In the video, they explain that the laboratory has numerous roll-up garage doors, an auto lift, and a solution pit.
From outside the laboratory, Razkal719 notes that the laboratory is located under flooring of the building, as the very same garage doors can be seen along the base. Peter gets in via the top as Spider-Man as well as fulfills Otto downstairs in his laboratory clothes, implying that he alters out of his fit while walking down the staircases from the roofing system.
Part of what made Marvel's Spider-Man so well gotten is the degree of information that designer Insomniac put into its globe and gameplay, with fans uncovering brand-new points also 4 years after the video game initially turned onto the PS4.
While playing around in the open world of Marvel's Spider-Man, players have noticed special computer animations of Spidey pulling himself up along emergency exit, along with the web-headed hero's not-so-obvious ability to draw claimed fire escapes off the buildings they're connected to beyond combat.
This interest to information would continue in the 2020 spin-off Spider-Man: Miles Morales and also fans wouldn't be shocked to uncover lots of enjoyable keys in the upcoming Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and Marvel's Wolverine too.
These keys include just how Otto Octavius's lab was once an auto service center before the events of Marvel's Spider-Man, which highlights just how Otto as well as his business are short on funds due to his falling out with Norman Osborn.
Certainly, the video game keeps in mind that Otto's research study mainly relies on gives to maintain his dreams of overcoming a neurological disorder he deals with active, as well as it is this anxiety that ultimately results in his heartbreaking fall from grace at the end of Wonder's Spider-Man.

Marvel's Spider-Man Gameplay PS4 Part - 4
Tumblr media
Episode - 4
In the episode 4 of the Marvel Spiderman Walkthrough, it is time to spice up the things even more. So our superhero first smashes some bad guys trying to execute their not-so-great plan of bank robbery, I don't know how can you even imagine of doing something as big as bank robbery when Spidey is in the town. He then swings through the city with his jumps and webs and reaches Dr. Octavius's lab where he thinks that the doc is out for the night. Peter rushes to grab this chance of fixing his suit while the doctor is out but the poor timing brings the doctor right back in which puts Peter in a difficult situation as he thinks that his secret is finally out but the doctor couldn't figure all of this out, he ends up believing that Peter works for Spiderman and didn't tell him a thing to protect his family. The next morning Peter is asked to check his email where the doctor tells him about the white Spider and guess what? Spiderman's new suit is as amazing as the Spiderman himself with white spider on his front and the back and damn! he looks good as he makes his spectacular entry in his brand new suit.
Getting back to the adventurous part of the game, Yuri tells him about the Fisk's construction site where his men are still keeping rackets running but they can't make a move because they need a solid reason as it is Fisk's only legitimate business with multiple investors so Spidey is asked to check the site out. As he reaches the site he receives a new gadget from Dr. Octavius and then the big fat fight begins, as he finds out that there are lots of big bad guys waiting to take Spiderman down. The fight goes on and spidey gets the blurred vision at certain moments but nevertheless he keeps on showing his cool moves and webs. But as you can imagine it's not that easy to become a superhero, some guys at the second storeys begin shooting at him and there comes a moment where he actually falls down but as they say happiness of the evil doesn't lasts long and yes the Amazing Spiderman comes back and this time he first takes down the guys with the guns but more and more bad people kept on joining the party. As bizarre as it sounds one of them literally shoots at Spidey with the rocket gun, like are you even serious? But nevertheless Spidey throws him off as well. Well that might have hurt so bad. Yuri reports to him about the various construction sites owned by Fisk and asks him to keep an eye and to report suspicious activity if found any. Spidey unlocks one more super cool suit and changes it again. At the end of the episode Spiderman talks about recalibration of his mapping software to be more accurate and he starts by taking the picture of Empire State Building.

Spider-Man Reviews Teil 10
Also geht er alleine hin. Bodycount: Onkel Ben
