SHATTERED - Sonic Prime x reader

Chapter 1 | INCEPTION I

As an explosion went off in a mountain in the distance, Sonic ran through green hill collecting some rings, hurrying to the mountain, where his friends are fighting robotnik, he ran past big and froggy making him spin around.

Sonic went back and stopped Big from spinning, "Sorry, Big! Sorry, Froggy! Can't chat-- gotta go help our friends!" Sonic said running in place and ran off.

"No problem, Sonic!" Big said as froggy croaked.

"Home is where your friends are, as they say" It cuts to a memory of Sonic and his friends having a picnic, "And that's green hill!" Then of Sonic watching Amy admire a palm tree. "Where the best beaches," then of Tails flying next to a coconut. "Palm trees," Then of big holding a bunch of chili dogs making Sonic happy "And chili dogs, are just the tip of the iceberg!"

Then it cuts to Tails, Amy, Knuckles, and Malachite flying on the Tornado. "We've saved this place a million times, from this doofus." Then to Robotnik turning around to face the camera doing his evil laugh.

It cuts to shadow destroying a rock seemingly looking for something. "And then there's Shadow, it's complicated. More on him later."

Then to Sonic and his friend looking into the distance. "The fact is, we never lose. 'Cause when you've got a crew like mine," Sonic says as he runs up the mountain. "There's nothing that can stop you!"

"HEY GUYS! I MADE IT!"

"You're late!"

The team of mobians glared at the speedy blue hedgehog at his tardiness, said blue hedgehog shrugging his shoulders sheepishly with a grin and short chuckle.

"Sonic!?"

Dr. Eggman spun away from the shiny crystal embedded into the rock at the annoying voice of his enemy, the surrounding Badniks also following his gaze.

"Eggman!" Sonic smirked.

"Just in time to watch me claim the Paradox Prism and transform your disgustingly green world into something more... me." his hands lifted up to his side in an evil stance, staring at the mobian team, or sonic more specifically, through the glass prism, letting out his infamous cackle.

Dropping from the entrance of the cave, Sonic landed with a bored expression, his hand cupping his mouth as he gave an overly faked...

"Yaawwn..."

The mobian team dropped behind him as they all, Sonic included, settled into a fighting position.

"Yep, I yawned you, egghead!"

At the mockery, Eggman growled in a fit of rage, ordering his Badniks to attack the team with a pointed finger.

Both sides got into action, the mobian team easily overpowering and defeating each of Eggman's robots as they came their way.

Sonic destroyed a few bots before spin dashing at a Caterkiller, resulting in the worm bashing him away, the hedgehog losing a few rings and soaring back through the air with a "Whoa!"

"Sonic!" 

A furry orange fox with two tails, using them to helicopter through the air, quickly caught him by his wrists, staring down at Sonic with a frown, clearly still upset at his delayed entrance.

"Yo, Tails!"

Sonic replied with a grin, swinging his legs back as Tails launched him forward in the air, spin attacking at two Buzz Bombers and speeding beside a red echidna with large, spiky gloves, the echidna eyeing the hedgehog with a scowl.

"Knuckles!" Sonic cheered, kicking away a Badnik, the echidna rolling his eyes and turning away from him, "You okay, buddy?"

"Nothing flusters me, Sonic," Knuckles grabbed a Buzz Bomber as it flew into him, throwing it into another incoming Badnik without so much as a sweat, both he and Sonic watching as both robots exploded.

"Except when you're late."

Sonic only shook his head with a hand on his hip at Knuckles as he ran off, not noticing the same Caterkiller from before coming up behind him, quickly getting saved by a flying white bat as she came up behind him and kicked the worm away.

"Oh, thanks Rouge!" he waved at her.

"Don't mention it... literally."

From another end of the cave, a pink hedgehog drove her hammer into a Burrobot, shoving it off as the head landed elsewhere, hopping from the ledge to the head, smiling as a flock of Flickies flew out from inside the bot.

"Amy!" Sonic leaned against the head with a smirk as he greeted her.

"Sonic! Where have you been?"

"You know, the usual... got a little side tracked."

Amy playfully rolled her eyes at his response as Sonic spins up a wall and destroys a few Buzz Bombers, striking one in the direction of a (F/C) lynx of the incoming badnik, slashing the robot in half with their claws.

"Malachite!" he ran in their direction, throwing a loose arm over their shoulders and pulling their faces close.

They huffed out at the sudden half embrace, their enhanced hearing is never well enough to catch when the speedy hedgehog comes their way, letting a small smile pass.

"Sonic," they countered, "What is this? A role call?"

"What? Can't call out my friends' names mid-battle?" he poked at them, standing back to back with them as a swarm of Badniks surrounded them.

Sonic punched and kicked at them while Malachite cut and slit through them, the bots exploding. 

"Get that rock out of the ground!" 

Dr. Eggman furiously shouted out, the Burrobots retreating from fighting to the rock that held the paradox prism in place, drilling at it as fast as they could despite the electric shocks that would knock them back, really getting nothing done regardless.

"Want something done..." Eggman grumbled, climbing up into his mech, "Do it yourself."

"Sonic, we don't know what the prism is capable of!" Tails warned his hedgehog friend as he rolled his way, beating the Badniks, "Be careful."

Sonic rolled his eyes and darted off, Tails groaning at his carelessness.

"If Eggman wants it, it can't be good!"

"Yup, got it." Sonic replied casually as he ran Eggman's way.

The villain controlled his giant robot from inside, its claws taking hold of the prism and pulling up, Eggman letting out another of his evil laughs.

"Sonic, seriously!"

"Step away from the rock, Eggman."

"Huh, not this time, you fool!"

Narrowing his eyes, anger and the desperate need to defeat the villain overcoming his senses more than anything, Sonic sped up faster towards the prism as Eggman began pulling it out of its rock, rolling up in a ball.

"Sonic, wait!" Tails called out.

"Sonic, no!"

The groups cries fell on deaf ears as Sonic collided with the prism, the force of the breaking pushing them all back, flying in the air.

"One day I'll destroy that hedgehog, and the world will be a brighter place for it, lit by neon."

"As long as I'm around, you'll always have a wingman!"

"The forest is the most beautiful place on Earth."

"I don't need the details, just tell me who to smash."

"You may not like the way I do things, but I get things done!"

"Don't worry, I've always got your back!"

"Hey I may be the one who can bring everyone together, but there's only one one hedgehog they'll follow into battle."

"Heh heh! I don't need an army when I got a friend like you, Sonic!"

"Listen to your friends, you might need it one day."

"I will rule the world, and no rodents are going to stop me!"

"We'd follow you anywhere, Sonic."

"Nothing could break our friendship, Sonic."

Sonic stands up and groans "That's a sonic boom of a headache." He starts walking forward "Wh-Where am I? Huh?" There was a truck coming straight for him. "Aah!" He yelled before getting hit in the face by the truck.

As he climbed on top of the truck he looked around confused, "Uh" when he heard something behind of him, he turned around to see what it was, it was presumably a train and he ducked before he got hit in the face again. "Close one."

The truck shook and Sonic fell off of it onto a conveyor belt, he got up looking around still confused, but then he fell off of the conveyor belt before he could say anything. Before Sonic could get up again, he got swept up by a broom machine before getting thrown to the side.

"Why can't I remember how I got here?" Sonic said as he got back on his feet. "Think, Sonic, think, whoa what is up with my shoes?" He said examining them "Huh, I haven't seen anything like this since I ate truck stop chili dogs."

"Tails? Amy? Malachite? Heck, I'll even take Knuckles at this point" He said walking towards a mobian on one of the conveyor belts. "Uh, pardon me, what do you call this place?" He asked the mobian who was ignoring him. "Are you ignoring me? You're ignoring me. Why are you ignoring me? Why is everyone ignoring me?" He asked flailing his arms around.

"Can anybody give me a straight answer around here? And you're busy staring at nothing. Okay"

Sonic covered his ears because of a loud blaring sound "Welcome to New Yoke City. You're welcome. Never heard of it. Must be far from home."

"Where are the mountains, the beaches, the palm trees?" He looked to the side and saw a familiar purple cat. "Big! Froggy!" Sonic said as he hugged big. "Whoa, uh."

"Am I glad to see familiar faces! I thought I was losing my rings, if you know what I mean." He said while big was looking around for any robots. "What is going on here? Are you wearing pants?"

"Unidentified citizen. Alert! Alert!" A robotic voice said.

"Big! Don't go!"

"You are in violation of city ordinance 27 B/6"

"Sorry, I don't speak robot."

"By the authority of the Chaos Council, stand down or be disassembled."

"Chaos Council, sounds important. Give me directions, and I'll take it from there." Sonic said as he tried to run. "Wha-? Whoaa!" He exclaimed unable to control his running.

Sonic turned to an alley pressed up against the wall, trying to take sharp turns, "Whoa! what is up with my shoes?" He said before crashing into a wall. "Ugh! I'm not used to all these walls, and where are my rings?" He said checking for his rings, before almost getting hit by laser bullets.

He dodged the lasers that were being shot at him and spin dashed the robots "Robots without flickies? Now that's new." Sonic said before dodging more laser bullets and speeding away.

Running into the streets almost hitting a truck and then another truck, and then another and it was coming straight for him, but he ducked underneath it. "This is not working. I gotta get off the ground!" He said wall jumping onto a train.

Still trying to dodge the laser bullets while on the train, he notices a building being contructed and gets an idea. Sonic threw himself over to where the building was being constructed and slid through the building. Stopping on the edge trying to dodge the bullets. When the floor was close enough, he jumped off the ledge. Destroying the robots that were chasing him.

He landed on his feet panting not knowing he was being watched. "Smog, concrete, evil robots, it's like everything I hate in one place!" Sonic said looking around "Where am I?"

"Oh, no!" He gasps, looking at something familiar and speeding to the right. "Please be wrong. Please be wrong!" He stammered running up a building into the sky turning to look at the place he was in.

Sonic looked right, "the Loop-de-Loop." Then left "Hedgehog's Pass." Then right again, "and that should be Tails' lab! Aw, tails, what happened?"

BEFORE PRISM SHATTER

Tails is in the Tornado, turning to where the fight is. "Come on Egghead, show me what you got!" Sonic shouted.

Dr. Robotnik laughs "That's the spirit, rodent -- the spirit of a loser!"

"Takes one to know one. Ha!"

"Why do I feel like Eggman's keeping us off the main stage?" Amy asked.

"Eggman's got us fighting the badniks so he can have Sonic all to him self." Knuckles replied.

"Come on! Let's crash his show!" Malachite responded, cutting and slicing through the robots.

"One scrambled egg, coming up!" Sonic said spin dashing the robot.

"Hmm I don't like this, Dr. Eggman's too smart not to realize how terribly positioned he is." Tails said looking at his gadget "It's like he's --" tails sharply gasps. "He's not in there."

"Quaking in your tiny shoes at the might of my Eggcrusher? It's understandable I'm rather astounding."

"In your dreams! You bring it, I break it, Eggman. That's the game, and I'm still the undefeated numero uno." Sonic said doing a lot of poses.

"Then put your quills where your mouth is, unless you're scared!"

Tails shot some laser bullets at the robot "It's a trap, Sonic! It's a trap!"

"I don't see a trap, though I guess by definition I wouldn't see a trap if there was one."

Dr. Robotnik laughs

"Something funny egghead?"

"You are! Watching you try to think with that two-cent brain of yours is hilarious!"

"Sonic! You gotta listen! It's a trap!" Tails yelled.

"You're as stupid as your mutant, two-tail fox friend is ugly"

"Oh, you're really asking for it." Sonic barked

"Yes.. I am!" Robotnik marveled.

"You can mess with me, Eggman, but no one messes with my best friend." Sonic said running towards the robot.

"Sonic, no!" Tails yelled.

Sonic spin dashed the robot making a huge explosion once it hit the ground. Some mobians fall back due to the pressure. Big drops his fishing rod and catches froggy. The mountain cracks and reveals more cracked rock.

"Whoa! Didn't know I had that in me. That's what you get for messing with my friends, Egghead" Sonic said as he looked in the robot, but Robotnik wasn't there. "Huh? where's Eggman? He must have ejected. Well, looks like we win again. Tails! He's not even in here. Lame right?" He exclaimed to his two-tailed fox friend.

"Too chicken to face in us in person. Whatevs! Couldn't have done it without ya, buddy!" Sonic yelled, watching tails fly away in his plane. "Huh."

"Whoa, Tails looks upset" Knuckles stated.

"And tails never gets upset." Amy said with worry.

Malachite nodded in agreement

Robotnik laughs evilly from far away "It worked! Without the power of that blue buffoon, we would've had to dig for months! Thank you for the earthquake Sonic, and thank me for my plan, which went off spectacularly!"

"And it worked too!" Cubot added.

"Of course it worked I just said that!" Robotnik yelled. "Ugh, let's go papa wants his prism" He ordered, throwing his walkie-talkie to Orbot. As he walked away Orbot and Cubot fist bumped.

Sonic ran over to tails' lab putting in the code '1992' before opening and walking the lab. "Yo! How's my genius friend?" He asked tails. "Hey Sonic," Tails sighed. "I brought you some comics." Sonic stated. "Thanks Sonic you can put them over there"

Sonic chuckles, "How about a little break from the big brain stuff?"

"I can't. Something's not right. I gotta figure out what Eggman is up to."

Sonic frowns and walks over to Tails, and turns his chair around to face him. "Sorry, Tails. I didn't mean to upset you. In fact, I've never seen you so upset. I just kinda got into the moment and.."

"Sonic, it's cool. Really. But thanks. I appreciate it." There was a moment of silence before Tails started speaking again. "Don't you think that Eggman wasn't in the Eggcrusher?"

"Uh, not really. I mean, he is a total chicken. But I did find a hunk of junk in the cockpit where his big butt shoulda been."

"Hunk of junk, huh? Wonder if that was all part of the trap? Tell me you didn't toss it in the barge of badnik parts."

"Uh." Sonic speeds away and comes back with it in his hands "Junk speedy delivery! You smash it, we dash it" Sonic beamed "Whoa, lemme see that! It wasn't a trap, it was a trick. You've never created a blast that destructive. I think that this device was some sort of speed amplifier. Long story short, he used your speed against you!" Tails explained.

"The fox is on to something."

"Huh?"

"Rouge?" Both Sonic and Tails asked.

"How did you get in here?" Sonic inquired.

"He played you for a fool, Blue." She remarked

"Pfft! Please!" Sonic replied putting a hand on his hip.

"What would he need a massive explosion in that area for?"

"Well.. I have a hunch" Rouge said as she spread her wings and jumped down off of the ledge she was sitting on to fly. "You see, I've been searching for years for a super rare and shiny gem called the paradox prism." She explained flying towards tails' tool board stopping a few inches away from it.

"Paradox Prism?" Sonic ask

"Legend speaks of an untold power, and it's buried deep within the Green Hill bedrock. My guess is that he used your power against you to try to find it." She replied.

"Fascinating. But what I really want to know is, how did you get in here?" Sonic inquired.

Rouge looked at him in disbelief. "You left the door open." She said pointing to a wide open garage door. Gather your crew and meet me at the top of the Loop-de-Loop. Let's find out what Eggman is up to."

At the top of the mountain, Robotnik was there "At last. The Paradox Prism! So close. It was only a rumor for so long, and now inches from my grasp. Countless times I have tried to modernize this hunk of earth only to be defied by that simpleton Sonic." Robotnik hissed

"Now, it's finally going to happen. And it's all the sweeter because the blue baboon handed me this prize.." He clapped his hands "without realizing it. So, thank you, Sonic. For now I stand at the summit of--"

"Of the mountain." Orbot interrupted.

"..of a new age! The age of--"

"Pretty lights?" Cubot asked interrupting Robotnik.

"..the age of the Eggman Empire!"

"Ooh, fancy!" Both Orbot and Cubot said.

"And now.." Robotnik screamed as he fell into the entrance he made. "Why didn't you idiots tell me how big that first step was?" He shouted before getting back in his robot.

"Sorry, boss" Orbot replied.

Robotnik began to walk down the path. "Where is it? I know you're in here somewhere." He said as his flashlight made the prism shine bright and reflect throughout the cave. He chuckled when he saw it, but then it turned into wicked laughter.

"I think Rouge is right. Eggman picked that spot for a reason. Why else would he hide a power amplifier in his own Eggcrusher?" Tails spoke.

"So, we start at the scene of the crime." Knuckles stated

"Exactly. Lets go investigate and see if anything might lead us to this Paradox Prism you guys are talking about" Amy added.

NOW

"Paradox Prism. Right. That's what Eggman was after. How?" Sonic asked falling on his face. "No, no, no. I didn't leave Green Hill. This is Green Hill. He did it. I don't know how he did it, but he did it. Eggman won."

This took a long time, oh my gosh. But the first chapter is out! (Finally)

I like calling Robotnik by his actual last name for some reason, don't ask me why.

I had to rewrite from the part where Sonic asks "Paradox Prism?" To when Knuckles said "So, we start at the scene of the crime." That was such a hassle.

Also since this chapter is done, I will now focus more on requests, and the next chapter will take a while since i'm only 17 minutes into the episode.

Uuuuuh so I'm going to try posting an imagine/headcanon thing for once! 😅 a lot of this is probably OOC so dont mind me lol

Robotnik is actually a big sweetheart!

In an interview with Jim Carrey, he said that Robotnik just wants to be special to somebody-- but its gone megalomania, he wants to be special to EVERYBODY. He absolutely ADORES any love and affection his significant other gives him. Even though he's pretty cold and a bit selfish a lot of the time, he wants to constantly be the center of attention with his S/O.

He needs a lot of reassurance, too, as underneath all of the confidence is a deep level of self-loathing. Jim Carrey even said so himself-- in a way, Robotnik views himself as just a speck of nothing in his own eyes.

He rambles a lot about his interests-- mainly his machines. He could talk for hours and hours about them, and he's always happy when people like to listen. He likes to snuggle in with his S/O as he talks, a lot of the time.

He LOVES music and dancing. He definitely has a playlist made specifically for him and his S/O. He likes to dance with them, either slow and affectionate or fast and passionate. He just loves it. When he's by himself, he likes to dance to help him think.

He DEFINITELY makes cheesy dad jokes to try to get his S/O to laugh. Or he does other things, like making goofy faces or telling them funny science facts. I'm sure he'd have A LOT of inside jokes with his S/O.

“When your close to me”

Platonic Shadow x Reader

You watch your cousin and grandfather Robotnik and Gerald happily walk off together in bliss about their plan

That just left you, Stone, and the weird ass emo hedgehog to sit in the crab and wait. Disappointed was an understatement of what you were feeling. You always wanted to go on some type of heist but your uncle never let you.

“Let’s go make guac!” Stone says while floating down into the crab. You slightly follow.

“Revenge guac.” the odd hedgehog says. You sorta found that funny and snickered a little bit. He turned to look at you in disgust.

You all make it down to the crab and Stone starts on the guac while you and “Shadow” (you found out his name) watch the weird love triangle movie. Shadow makes some really snarky remarks on the movie following “Shes not a prize to be one” and “She should kill them both”. You just giggle in response

You also notice that you guys look closet than you seem. Your legs propped up on the head of the couch while you lay upside down. Shadow sits right next to you. I wonder how his fur feels You think pondering if you should touch it and see for yourself. You did.

“What.” Shadow exclaims

“Nothing :). Just wanted to see how it would feel hehe”

Shadow looks at you with one eyebrow up (🤨) “Don’t do that again unless you want to be slaughtered.” The evil hedgehog says. “Oh no!” you say sarcastically “Im terribly afraid!” and you start to giggle.

You remind shadow of her. Very similar and decendents of Gerald. He starts to smile thinking of the memory and the resemblance.

You notice.

“Woah are you smiling! I thought you were like an edgelord.” You say with a cheery grin

He snickers and smirks at your remark. You both turn back to watch. Maybe this day in the crab wouldn’t be that bad.

HELLO i fucking LOVE ur stobotnik and their kid series!!! its what initially got me to watching the movies and into the sonic franchise as a whole!!! can i request a stobotnik and their kid whos sort of like maria.... like they genuinely love the world and humanity despite (ahem) everything Ivo says. Maybe add in a sprinkle of shadow who sees reader and is taken aback by how similar they are to maria, and now stone + ivo has to deal with their kid having a new guard dog/brother HDSHSDH love ur writing, hope u have a good day!!

Your fathers have always loved you, if a tad.. oddly.

Papa Ivo doesn't understand your interest with the rest of humanity.

"What if one of those disgusting cretins gets my baby sick? What if someone actually wanted to hurt you?"

"No, it's far safer for you if you stay by his or Papa Stone's side. Or in the lab. The lab is VERY safe, you know. Well idiot proofed"

Not that he's calling his baby an idiot, of course -

Baba Aban, however, seems to understand you.

Of course he respects Papa's wishes, keeps you close when you do go out, but he tries to sate your interest in humanity best he can.

Always open to questions, and will try to answer everything as age-appropriately as possible.

"What does Papa do all day?"

"He builds things for the government."

"Why?"

"Because it pays well enough to raise you and keeps him busy."

"Why doesn't Papa like other people?"

He.. doesn't have an answer for that one. Not really.

"Just because" sounds too shallow, and "Because people can be horrible" is almost worse.

"To keep you safe."

It's not a lie, but it's not the truth, and the way you huff lets him know you're onto him.

Lets Ivo know before you two are finished with errands, in case you bombard the older man with questions next

They both try and keep you entertained in their own ways

Papa Ivo tries to keep you interested in his machines, how they can be used to better your life

Baba Aban takes you out for errands and helps teach you in the kitchen

Life is as balanced as it can be, considering your solitude growing up

Both dads help you set up a little greenhouse in the traveling lab

"For self sufficiency!" - Papa Ivo

"To give them a new hobby." - Baba Aban

"To keep me busy." - Baby You™

You know what's up

SO since we don't yet know how Shadow calmed tf down in the movie, bare with me here.

After the events of Movie 2 and then the unearthing of Project Shadow, you and your dads are living in the Crabmeat base deep in the Pacific

You and Baba Aban still surface occasionally for groceries and supplies, while Papa Ivo throws himself into his work to distract himself from his latest defeat.

During one surface visit, looking around the Seattle streets while on the back of Baba Aban's motorcycle, you see a strangely familiar figure on a similar vehicle.

You tug on your das's sleeve before gearuring toward the hedgehog

"Baba.. that's not Sonic, is it?"

He looks, does a double take

"Uh.. no."

He's stopping near the same lot the two of you are, and Baba instructs you to message Papa

"Found another alien hedgehog, will update"

He seems wary when the two of you approach, glancing between you as Aban steps closer, an arm in front of your chest to keep you back behind him

"Who are you?"

The hedgehog glares, and you slink just a bit closer to see him

"I am the ultimate life form."

"Decided by who?"

"That's none of your concern."

The two are almost circling one another now, Baba keeping you behind him, even if just barely

"It's my concern if you're here to.. to destroy humanity, or whatever."

You eye him from behind your dad, but he just huffs a laugh

"Destroy? I was created to preserve your human lives."

Your eyes widen again, catching his own before he glanced back towards your Baba

"Is that a problem?"

You tug at Aban's sleeve again, and he slows his movement, letting you peek out more from behind him

"No.. I don't suppose it is."

You finally slip out from behind him, smiling, and Shadow is hit, mentally, with the image of Maria, smile - the same energy as your own

A certain kind of sad loneliness, with an undertone of care

He doesn't know why he thinks of it that way

All he knows is that it feels like home again

The two of you see each other a few times after that, while out on errands with Baba

Papa wants to meet him - of course - but doesn't want another Knuckles situation

He figures that as long as you're willing to be there and listen, he'll be there to keep you safe company

Ivo thinks this new hedgehog is overbearing - always at your shoulder, keeping you company when he's supposed to be, never seeming to let you out of his sight

Stone thinks he's up to something, the way he lingers between streets when you're out, watching from the shadows (ha)

In reality, he's just trying to keep you safe

Your dads seem to figure that out when one of Ivo's ridiculous predictions comes true - you wander just a bit too far from Baba to look at some UV lights for your plants on Crabmeat, and someone grabs your arm as they walk past, jostling you enough that you yelp

Shadow is there in half a second, sending the aggressor to the floor before tugging on your hand, coaxing you down so he can look at the bruise forming on your bicep

Baba Aban is there a second later, lowering himself and helping Shadow turn your arm before helping you back up

"We should leave."

The three of you are silent until halfway back to the base, when Baba tilts the rearview to look at Shadow while he's druving

"Shadow.."

"What?"

He always glares when he talks to anyone besides you. Typically toward the floor or their chests, but right now he's looking your Baba in the eyes through the mirror, watching your father's gaze soften

I feel like he'd be such a sweetheart towards his partner!

I mean, don't get me wrong - there's not really any iteration of Robotnik that lacks the 'evil' factor, but he's definitely one of the less severe versions.

Whereas other Robotniks are more concerned with dominating the world for the sake of it, Underground in particular is more concerned with being recognized as a genuine ruler.

They're all fairly fond of opulence and decadence, and Underground is no different. I say this, though, because I think Underground would be extremely fond of pampering his partner. He certainly has the means to do so, after all.

I still doubt that he would be shallow, though - though I doubt any version of Robotnik is traditionally 'shallow.' Even in a position like his, he doesn't place appearances over all else. He's placed himself in a position where he's alone, after all - if he's gonna have anyone join him up there, it has to be someone he has a much deeper connection with.

Much more physically and verbally affectionate than a lot of the others, though. He's pretty confident in the fact that nobody is going to question him, at least not to his face.

Definitely not shy about the fact that you're his partner, either.

As far as PDA goes, it's obviously not super extreme - and if you aren't a fan of it, he doesn't mind, either. I just think small gestures like hand-holding would come naturally to him.

He does seem to actually directly care more about his physical appearance than we see from any other Robotnik from this era of the StH series - he does ask Sleet directly if he thinks he looked good on camera after all... 💀

The reason I mention that, though, is because he's 100% the type of person to have to ask you if he looks alright before leaving for the day.

As far as weddings go, I feel like he'd propose as dramatically as he can whilst still keeping things private. Don't get me wrong, he'd be fine with doing things publicly, but if the two of you hadn't previously discussed marriage and seemed mutually agreed upon doing so, he wouldn't want you to feel pressured into agreeing just because other people are potentially watching.

Though I love the idea of proposing to him instead. While I think other Robotniks might be surprised, Underground is definitely a lot more emotive cough cough dramatic as far as animated Robotniks go. This sweet boy would be over the moon.

There will be an engagement notice made fucking nationwide as soon as it happens. I'm sorry but there's no stopping it.

Stone was so busy getting the cafe ready for the next day that he hadn't even noticed his phone ringing for minutes. The phone hung up after a few rings and then voicemail kicked in. That's what caught Stone's attention.

His phone automatically started playing the voicemail left by the caller.

"Agent Stone. This is Commander Walters. I want to inform you about a few issues. Come to the address I left you tomorrow night."

When the voicemail ended, Stone had a confused expression on his face. Why was Walters calling him? Was it about to the botniks he had taken back? But there was no way he could know that he was behind this. The only way to find out what it was all about was to go to that address tomorrow night.

Stone was very formally prepared that evening; a classy suit that he hadn't worn in a long time. He had all sorts of scenarios in mind, but he managed to put them all aside in a professional manner.

After looking in all the rooms, he finally found Y/N. She was sitting in the living room, seemingly absorbed in the book in her hands while stroking Sylvester's fur on her lap.

Stone cleared his throat slightly as he entered the room so as not to scare her. Y/N looked up from her book and looked at Stone with hidden surprise, who looked so classy and attractive. She didn't remember seeing this suit before. It must be new or for a special occasion.

"Uh, can I take your car?" asked Stone without waiting any longer.

"For what?" Y/N asked in response, her eyebrows furrowed slightly as she asked the question.

"I have a meeting out of town. I don't wanna be late." he explained shortly.

Y/N was curious but didn't think much of it. It was obvious that it was a special occasion. "Okay... It's inside the bowl on the coat rack."

"Thanks! I'll tell you the details when I'm back." he said and took the car keys from where they were.

Y/N shrugged. "You don't have to."

However, Stone felt otherwise and decided to tell her about the meeting when he returned. After putting on his shoes and coat, he was ready to walk out the door.

"Uh, one more thing, please don't open the door to anyone."

Y/N rolled her eyes exaggeratedly. "I'm not a child."

Stone's expression was as serious as his voice. He had to take every precaution he could to make sure his mind wasn't left behind. "I'm not joking. I'm serious." he explained.

Y/N realized that he was genuinely worried about her safety. Again. But she made a joke of it to show that he had nothing to worry about. "Okay, mom!"

"Ha-ha! Too funny!" he said with a fake laugh. There was no need to worry unnecessarily, Y/N could take care of herself just fine. He let out a loud, deep breath. "Anyways, take care!"

"Drive safe! I don't want even a little scratch on my car." Y/N warned. Deep down they both felt that her car wasn't the reason for this warning.

"Roger." he said, and he saluted and closed the door behind him, a faint smile on his face.

When he arrived at the mentioned address, there were still 30 minutes left until the meeting time. This place reminded him of where he used to work. It had the same gloom.

The moment he entered GUN's new but temporary control center, several agents around him looked at him and started whispering things to each other. He hadn't been in this kind of environment much since he left to work with Doctor Robotnik. He passed through security and entered the meeting room where another agent directed him. Commander Walters was sitting in the chair at the head of the table.

"Here you are, Agent Stone!" he said and showed him a place to sit with one hand.

"Good evening, sir." Stone said formally and sat down in the seat indicated to him.

"Are you hungry?"

"No, sir."

"Oh, well. You must be wondering why I called you here."

"Yes, sir."

Walters leaned his elbows on the table, clasped his hands together, and began to speak. "You know, Robotnik has been gone a while... And I couldn't turn a blind eye to let a skilled agent like you mourn that maniac's death and ruin your life."

He opened his hands and raised them as if to show the place. "As you may have noticed, this is a new organization with old roots. So, in short, an agent like you could be very useful to us."

Stone waited silently for him to finish before speaking. He had no intention of going back to being a field agent or joining GUN. Also, unlike Walters or the rest of the world, he didn't think Robotnik was dead. He didn't want to think about it or accept it.

However, he decided to put all that aside and come up with an excuse that would work.

"First of all, thank you, sir. But I have no plans to devote my life to being an agent again."

"Why not?" Walters asked.

"Because... There's someone I've been living with for a while. I can't risk her." he explained. What he said had to sound as convincing as possible. And besides, it couldn’t be considered a lie, he couldn’t risk Y/N’s safety by going back to being an agent.

Just as Stone wanted, Walters believed he was in a serious relationship. After all, after working for Robotnik for a long time, it wasn't surprising that he chose to build a normal life for himself. Considering this, he decided to give him some time.

"Well... But I suggest you think about it for a while. Don't make a decision right away."

"Understood, sir." said Stone. He rose from his chair and gave Walters a formal salute before leaving the meeting room.

It was nearly midnight when he left the building. After getting in the car and driving away, he decided to pull over and rest for a while before reaching the highway. It wouldn't be good for him to drive when he was tired, sleepy, and had millions of thoughts in his head.

Picking up his phone, he thought about texting Y/N, but decided not. She must've been asleep long ago. Leaning the seat back, he laid down and closed his eyes. He took a deep breath before falling asleep as usual, the inside of the car smelled like Y/N. Her perfume and her own scent... To be honest, he hadn't realized before that he was familiar with this scent from his own home. While his mind was filled with complicated thoughts on every subject, he fell asleep after a few breathing exercises.

Y/N had eaten alone that evening and made her own coffee. Why did she feel weird even though she had been following this routine for almost her entire life? This feeling increased after her cat fell asleep. She must've quickly gotten used to having Stone around. She had really gotten used to them eating dinner together and Stone making coffee for her every night. She was used to feeling the presence of someone other than herself and her cat in the house.

She was about to grab her phone and text him, but changed her mind at the last minute. "Whatever... He said he would tell me what happened when he got back. Even if he didn't, it wouldn't be any of my business. Right?" she said to herself. But it was obvious that she was curious, she just didn't want to accept it.

She threw her phone aside and turned on a movie to distract herself, falling asleep in front of the TV while watching it.

After a few hours of napping, Stone felt much better. He started the car and drove off, turning on the radio to keep himself company. If he drove non-stop, he could get home by sunrise.

Along the way, he weighed what Walters had said in his mind. There were pros and cons to both options. If he accepted, would Robotnik think he had betrayed him when he returned? Or would he be okay with it? Even after all these years, it was almost impossible to answer this with certainty.

After the hours and the road passed quickly, he arrived in Green Hills at sunrise, just as he planned. After parking the car, he went home to change and get something to eat.

When he entered the house, he found Y/N asleep on the couch in front of the TV. He turned off the TV, covered her with a blanket and quietly went to the bedroom. He found Sylvester standing on top of the headboard, trying to reach something behind it.

"Hi there, buddy!" Stone said in a low voice. "What are you doing there?"

Sylvester ignored him and continued his work. Stone picked him up and looked at the mysterious object behind the headboard. It was the cord from the lampshade on the side table. He laughed quietly to himself and petted the cat.

"Come on, you must be hungry."

He went to the kitchen with the cat in his arms, prepared his food and water and waited for him to eat for a while. As he watched the cat, his eyes were about to close from lack of sleep. So he decided to get up and make some coffee and changed his clothes while it was getting ready.

When he returned to the kitchen, his coffee was ready. He felt more refreshed after finishing his double shot of espresso. As he started to prepare breakfast for himself and Y/N, Sylvester was pacing around at his feet, trying to scratch him. Now he was agreeing with Y/N, it was quite a chore to do something with a cat at his feet.

"So you're back." Y/N said in a sleepy tone. Her whole body ached from her sleeping position. She tried to relax her neck by tilting it left and right a few times. But she scrunched up her face in pain.

Stone had suddenly turned around with the knife in his hand. "You have to stop doing that." he said, looking at the exhausted Y/N.

"Doing what?"

"Appearing silently behind me. I'm an agent trained to kill, I guess you're forgetting that."

"Huh, so I'm not even safe around you?"

"You know very well that's not what I meant..."

"Just messing around. Relax.." she said with a chuckle. "So, need some help?"

"Thanks, but I'm handling it. Take a seat, you look exhausted."

"I fell asleep while watching TV on the couch. My whole body is stiff." she said as she tried to stretch a little more.

"I see." he just said. He was sure a good massage would help. Should he offer to do so? He shook his head, dispelling the thought.

"By the way, thanks again for the car. I left the keys where I got them." Stone said while they were eating breakfast.

Y/N shook her head slightly as she tried to finish the bite in her mouth. Her face was scrunched up again from the pain. "No problem." she managed to say after she finished her bite.

Stone couldn't stand her situation anymore and asked after taking a sip of his coffee. "Um... Don't take it the wrong way, but... it looks like you need a massage. And... I can give you a massage if you want..."

You could tell by his tone that he was nervous. And he was nervous. He just wanted to help.

Y/N looked at him as if a superhero had come to save her from the edge of a cliff. "You know what... I'd love to. Thank you."

Smiling slightly, Stone nodded and stood up, taking his position behind Y/N's chair. So why were those hands that could kill someone without even blinking, trembling now?

Without thinking much about it, he placed his hands on Y/N's shoulders and started massaging them slowly and gently.

Y/N felt nervous, but also starting to relax. She closed her eyes and let herself be held in Stone's capable hands.

"I was in a meeting with Commander Walters last night." he began. He was trying to keep the fact that he was touching her as far from his mind as possible.

"Who's that?"

"My old boss. While I was in the Military Force. I can say that I met with the Doctor, thanks to him. And..."

Y/N let out a quiet moan of relief, sending his thoughts flying around. "Ugh! Don't worry, keep goin'." Y/N said quickly.

"And he wants me to take part in the new unit they've established. He said he ' couldn't turn a blind eye ' to ruining my life." he said. Even the quotation marks in the sentence were obvious from his tone of voice.

"So, what do you plan to do?"

"Honestly... At first I used you as an excuse and said I hadn't thought about it. But he's extremely persistent."

"Does he know who I am?" Y/N asked in surprise.

"Oh, no. Uhm... I kept up the lie I told your friends, just in case he wouldn't insist any further." he replied. Why was it so difficult to talk to her in this state?

"Oh, okay..." said Y/N. She was relieved, both ways.

"But lastly, he gave me a week to think about it. I don't know if I'm ready to get back involved with those jerks. It's been a long time... I'll probably decline."

"Do you want my opinion?" Y/N asked, tilting her head towards him. Stone paused for a moment, then nodded in agreement. "I think you should accept it. It would be beneficial for both the flow of information and money. After all, the cafe's expenses are higher than its income. And you need money to make new badniks..."

Both of them had a major distraction factor, but despite this, both of them managed to focus on the conversation. Almost…

"You are right." Stone agreed thoughtfully.

"I'm always right. It's kind of genetic." she said with a grin. Stone was grinning too, fully aware that it was genetic.

After the massage, which didn't last long, they both chose to act like it had never happened. It was better that way. After all, they didn't have feelings for each other. Right?

Stone had gotten ready and gone to work. Brayden had opened the cafe before him and started cleaning.

"Good morning, boss."

"Good morning." replied Stone. He touched Brayden’s shoulder lightly with one hand. For some reason, he felt less nervous today.

"You seem to be in a good mood. I think Ms. Y/N is on her way here." he guessed. He knew there was some attraction between them.

"Get back to work, Brayden!"

Even though it was only noon, the sky was starting to get cloudy and it was about to rain. Y/N was on her way to the cafe to return the comics and books she had borrowed from Brayden.

She no longer spent the whole day inside the house like she used to, and this was good for her. She had the opportunity to meet new people -Brayden and Crazy Carl- and Sonic. Stone had no idea she had met Sonic, of course. And Sonic seemed like a funny little brat to her. She knew he had played a role in her father's death, and that Stone hated him... But it couldn't hurt him if he didn't know, right?

When she arrived at the cafe, only Brayden was behind the counter. "Hey, Brayden! What's up?"

"Y/N! I'm counting the minutes for break." Brayden replied with exasperation.

"I brought your book and comics." she said, placing them on the counter and pushing them towards him. "Thanks."

Brayden placed the books somewhere under the counter. "As usual?"

"Yeah." she agreed. She looked around. "I haven't seen Stone."

"He hasn't come out of the back since he got here. He was on the phone and said he didn't want to be disturbed."

"Hmm..."

Y/N could more or less guess what the subject of that phone call was and who it was with. While she was lost in thought, Brayden had her coffee ready.

"Oh, thanks." she said, pulling her coffee in front of her. Brayden stopped her as she pulled out her wallet to pay.

"I can't take payment from you, boss's orders."

"Oh, don't be ridiculous, take this." Y/N insisted.

"I can't."

"Yes, he can't. It's on the house. Don't worry." Stone came to them.

"Why?"

"Because you don't have to pay for anything when you're with me. Including this place."

Y/N opened her mouth to say something sarcastic when Stone cut her off. "Keep your sarcastic words to yourself, please. Like I said, you don't have to pay for anything when you're with me or here. You can pay if you're not. Did I make myself clear?" he whispered. He leaned over the counter slightly, speaking in a voice only she could hear.

Y/N rolled her eyes. Apparently it would go on like this until Stone accepted that Robotnik was dead and let her go. But Y/N secretly liked it. "Alright."

At the time, Stone had to attend to another customer, but they both had grins on their faces that they didn’t show to each other as they left the counter.

Stone had spoken to Walters that day. He had accepted the position at GUN on the condition that he keep his job at the cafe. He would use it as a cover so that, as far as Walters knew, his relationship wouldn't be damaged. According to Walters, Stone had changed a lot since Robotnik and had gotten into a relationship and changed his priorities. Although he had thought that they had lost Stone a while ago because of Robotnik's crazy ideas and plans, he had approved all of this without any problems because of the positive change he had seen in him.

Of course, Stone and Y/N were the only ones who knew what was really going on. Or... were they?

Cruelty: How would they treat their darling once abducted? Would they mock them? He would treat you like you are his child (once he gets Yandere), and wouldn't mock you. He thinks that you don't understand that you're his (and Stone's) child now. 

Darling: Aside from abduction, would they do anything against their darling’s will? He would keep a robot's eye on you [once Stockholm hits], when you go outside. For a punishment, it depends on what you did, if you say that you hate him (or Stone), you're grounded. No rights minus the basics.

Exposed: How much of their heart do they bare to their darling? How vulnerable are they when it comes to their darling? He bares his heart to you pretty open, but he does keep the plans to kill everyone on the earth away from you. He doesn't' want to scare you since you're 'just a kid.'

Fight: How would they feel if their darling fought back? He would laugh, You of course think that he's kidnapping you, but to him, he's just doing a fathers duty of keeping you safe. Of course, you're a teenager, you want to rebel. Just don't do it to much.

Game: Is this a game to them? How much would they enjoy watching their darling try to escape? The first few times it's a game, he wouldn't enjoy seeing you cry and be scared of him, but it's funny to him that you want to go outside to humans. Wouldn't you rather be with robots?

Hell: What would be their darling’s worst experience with them? No rights minus the basics, and when he kills your parents in front of you with no remorse. He watches you cry over their smushed, bullet riddled body with a curiosity. Why do you care for them, why do you cry for them when I'm your father?

Ideals: What kind of future do they have in mind for/with their darling? He wants to have a future of Robots, no other humans but You and Stone. 

Jealousy: Do they get jealous? Do they lash out or find a way to cope? Actually, not that much because he only gets jealous when you want be near humans, but he's not jealous when you are with Stone, just other people because it's better with Robotnik.

Kisses: How do they act around or with their darling? (PLATONIC) He is not overly affectionate. He does appreciate a hug or two, but it's far and few between when he gives physical affection, it's mostly Stone that you get physical affection.

Love letters: How would they go about courting or approaching their darling? PLATONIC He just yoinks you, who's going to stop him? The government? He practically runs that shit.

Mask: Are their true colors drastically different from the way they act around everyone else? Yes, he's not *as* standoffish as he seems to be, there is a softer side to him.

Naughty: How would they punish their darling? No rights minus the basics. Food, Water, Clothes. Those are the bare minimum you get.

Oppression: How many rights would they take away from their darling? yes. He would take away anything that has the possibility of comfort. But only if 'your acting out or are a bad kid.'

Patience: How patient are they with their darling? Depends, If it's with humans then barely, you'll get like an hour with humans before he's like: "Nope. Robots are better."

Quit: If their darling dies, leaves, or successfully escapes, would they ever be able to move on? HAHA. You think you can escape? Robotnik has the Robots and the government on his side. You'll probably get a minute before he finds you. If you die on the other hand, he'll be wrecked with guilt. He couldn't protect you, OF course, it's the human flaw within Robotnik that couldn't protect you. He'll likely create a robotic version of you after he's done mourning (a year), but it'll never be you.

Regret: Would they ever feel guilty about abducting their darling? Would they ever let their darling go? No. He will never let you go back to flawed humans.

Stigma: What brought about this side of them (childhood, curiosity, etc)? Heh, who knows. It could have been that he conditioned himself to hate humans, and once he finds one that he likes, he will never let go.

Tears: How do they feel about seeing their darling scream, cry, and/or isolate themselves? This man probably got a Doctorates in  psychology and still won't figure out that you don't see him as a father. He would be confused on why you don't love him or Stone.

Unique: Would they do anything different from the classic yandere? He, 1: has a partner. 2: He will let you go outside, and doesn't get jealous if you give objects more attention than him or Stone, ... if it's a robot.

Vice: What weakness can their darling exploit in order to escape? Stone's pity. Stone is the best way to try and escape. Stone feels bad since you obviously hate it here and with them, but he knows that the doctor won't let go of you. Of course though, he won't feel too bad if he 'looks away for a moment and you suddenly escape'. He will feel bad if Robotnik punishes you though. If you came to him crying about Robotnik though, he will try to comfort you as much as he can without overstepping the clearly defined boundaries set by the Doctor.

Wit’s end: Would they ever hurt their darling? Yes and no. He wouldn't hurt you physically, but he will manipulate you and hurt you mentally. 

Xoanon: How much would they revere or worship their darling? To what length would they go to win their darling over? (PLATONIC) He doesn't worship you, and he doesn't try to win you over. You should just love him already when you're accepted into the family.

Yearn: How long do they pine after their darling before they snap? (Platonic) 1 day.

Zenith: Would they ever break their darling? Yes, in fact, he may prefer you that way.

Extra: Stone is a yandere, he loves you like Robotnik does. Stone recognizes that you hate them and want Tom and Maddie back, but he loves you and Robotnik too much to let you go. He will be the better of the two to exploit or try to escape through. He has pity for you and will give you much more lenience than Robotnik at least.

Robotnik *can* cook, but he's a busy man. And Stone likes having you in the kitchen as a helper + taste tester.

Very experimental; even tho Ivo's very particular, he wants you to have a broad pallet.

Sometimes, Robotnik bakes. Pastries, even, because it's about precision. And he likes showing off. Also likes having you taste test, even if it's just for his ego. (And maybe he likes knowing he can make you happy idk)

Stone would 100% be a house husband if he wasn't contracted as a personal assistant. Man is 100% DEVOTED to Robotnik, and you by proxy. He doesn't mind cleaning, cooking, taking care of y'all, as long as he can stay close.

Meanwhile, Robotnik would be a house husband just so he could stay in the garage and invent. IF he wasn't already so devoted to fieldwork.

Neither is great with bedtime stories, but they both try. Stone wants you to have a normal-ish childhood, and Robotnik wants what's best for you. They review anything before they buy it, so it ends up being, like

Stone - "This one looks cute! Talking animals, life lessons."

Robotnik, flipping through it - "Childhood language development comes from hearing a wide, complex vocabulary. This is.. quite lacking."

Stone - "It says 'for beginner readers."

Robotnik - "Fine. We'll need something more complex just to read to them."

They can spend legit HOURS looking for something they both approve of. Not because anything's inappropriate, or because they disagree.

Robotnik's taking those parenting books and mommy blogs to HEART when it comes to your education.

Stone is there to ensure everything is still fun.
