All aspects of self are valid. Empowering depth Unleashing that Creature of a Smile out into the world Squirkle Derple, express a Purple +----.<=~°.:.°~=>.----+ April 2015 Rediscovering this video I made the few days after I got my first super capable smartphone; playing with new tools in exploration. This day had already been filled with dense conflict and waking up to a realization that what I was holding on to was truly not serving my highest good. Seeming homeless, the truth was I needed to find myself, my core beyond what was feeling reflected in the Other. Relationships teach us so much, and when we neglect to the inner gardens of creation, not self, limitations and negative patterning manifests. So I took a we walk up a mountain in inland BC forests, listened to music, danced, and played with taking selfies, pics of the #mossy forest. Switched gear, focused on creation and P L A Y. Embraced the infinity of the sky and earth synergy through my channel of expression. I've continued to incorporate play and laughter into my go-to's every day to stretch. Who wants worry lines later in life when you can have smile lines!! 😄 I have rarely posted videos of myself on social media..it's something i attune to cultivating, as I know I have much to teach, and learn as I share. Facing self esteem and self worth issues has been a recurring challenge. And I meet that challenge with a brave spirit and eternal dance of freedom. We are One. Wings of Fire/Moana AU
((Allow me to take this time to say: Some details are subject to be added or changed because something may have slipped my mind. Also you really do have to at least read over this particular page talking about the seven dragon tribes, their abilities, general appearances, etc. It’s pretty short and simple, I promise :>
http://wingsoffire.scholastic.com/dragontribes
Also, here’s an image of Pyrrhia’s map based on the first 5 books
Tumblr media
*Note: Main plot takes place 700 years before “Darkstalker (Wings of Fire: Legends)”*
Have fun! :D You can read everything under the cut! ^^

Places and Items:
Heart of Te Fiti – Animus-touched emerald gem that restores life, as well as protects and strengthens the Rainwing kingdom. It is also endowed with an unknown curse.
Maui’s Claw – Animus-touched dragon claw that Maui himself enchanted with the animus powers given to him by the skywing animus Windwaker. It enables him to shapeshift into whatever creature or dragon he chooses, and he wears it around his neck.
Lalotai – A realm of monsters and banished dragons below the sea, mostly comprised of thieves, murderers, and other undesirable dragons from all tribes (save for rainwings), as well as monstrous creatures and some unlucky scavengers who have stumbled upon the surface entrance. The climate is generally humid, so icewings in particular don’t tend to survive the wilds due to the heat and sheer lack of creatures that serve as their diet.
After being created by a group of seven animus dragons –one from each tribe- Lalotai was not known to be ruled by anyone. Its purpose is to contain dragons that the tribes don’t want to remain on the surface; though some have abused this and banished dragons who did not altogether deserve such a fate. However, overtime the magic that has kept the banished dragons from escaping has begun to falter, allowing survivors as well as sea monsters to come and go as they please through the ocean currents.
Scavengers are not affected by the animus’ magic, as it does not pertain to them, but none have been known to return from Lalotai thus far.
Kakamora Islands – This is a chain of islands that are located between the coasts of the Seawing Continent and the eastern coasts of Pyrrhia. Particularly ferocious scavengers have many dens here, and use floating dens (boats and ships) to carry themselves across the sea to attack unsuspecting dragons flying overhead, hunt, and even attack their own kind that live along the coasts of the larger continent.
Seawing Continent – Far different from the original Seawing Kingdom –practically on the other side of the world-, this small continent is said to be the remnants of a volcano that helped shape the north-western lands of Pyrrhia. Legend says that after the volcano began to erupt a second time and threatened to destroy all of Pyrrhia, a powerful animus dragon enchanted the whole ocean to rise and drown the lava inside through the cracks that formed in the mountain’s exterior, which also destroyed the land bridge between the two continents and gave Pyrrhia the shape of a dragon’s head in the north.
The border is comprised of jagged stone walls separating the land from the ocean outside. The only ways in or out are through flight and narrow alcoves scattered throughout the border that connect the inner continent with the sea, and can only be accessed by swimming.
This continent is located west off the coast of Icewing Kingdom, so most of the seawings’ food supply is a source of competition between the two tribes. The hot springs and volcanic vents located in the center of the territory are what keep the continent inside the border warm, and the volcanic earth provides vegetation that is used as both food and shelter. Beaches, rock formations, tide pools, and a few dozen miles of shallow water separate the land from the alcoves on almost all sides, and from above these formations give the impression of a crescent moon shape within the border.
History of the Characters:
Maui and the Skywings: Before hatching, Maui was thrown from the rest of the clutch into the Diamond Spray Delta by his mother from the Mudwing Kingdom, ultimately to be washed out to sea and killed. His egg was found by a group of skywings on the south beach of the Skywing Kingdom, two being the tribe’s animus and their queen.
Queen Goshawk, the ruler of the Skywing tribe at the time, took Maui under her wing as a son and had him trained under the animus Windwaker- who decided with the queen to give the mudwing his own animus powers and immortality through enchantment. Then Maui used his powers to enchant a hook-like dragon claw that he wears around his neck (along with an array of other bones and teeth) to allow him to shapeshift into whatever type of dragon or creature he desired. He prefers the form of a skywing, in honor of the dragons who saved him.
When he became old enough to leave the Skywing Kingdom on his own, he has spent his life aiming to please other dragons- particularly the Mudwing tribe.
King Tamatoa, the Sandwings, and Lalotai: Having grown up alongside Maui during his training in various kingdoms of Pyrrhia, this sandwing and the mudwing animus were friends from the beginning after discovering their kinship in being outcasts from their own families. He was the rejected prince of Queen Drought due to his deformity of four front legs instead of two; giving him a total of eight limbs and being considered undesirable amongst his tribe. But determined as he was, Tamatoa clawed his way to becoming king of the Sandwings, turning into the wealthiest, most powerful ruler among all seven dragon tribes.
However, he was betrayed after an unprovoked encounter between him and a dragon patrol aiming to attack and steal from him, resulting in the death of the patrol which comprised of 2 icewings, 3 mudwings, and a seawing. This led to a confrontation with the furious mudwing animus, which the sandwing king lost after Maui tore apart his left wing and destroyed his ability to fly. And after the loss he was forced into banishment to Lalotai by the treachery of most of his own tribe under the influence of Maui. But not before he took a few animus-touched objects to ensure his life.
Having lost his kingdom and everything he had to the mudwing animus, Tamatoa took on a cruel, ruthless, and vicious behavior to all who opposed him. Eventually he declared himself sole ruler of every dragon and creature in Lalotai, killing those who dared to challenge him otherwise and once again fought his way to power by any means necessary. He is otherwise a generally fair king -by the monster realm’s standards- as he had been in the Sandwing Kingdom. And he eagerly waits for the day he can kill Maui himself for the betrayal and loss of his kingdom.
Queen Te Fiti and the Rainwings: The rainwings consider themselves lucky and blessed to have such a kind and devoted dragon as an animus and their queen. Te Fiti has been the dragon to keep the peace between all the dragon tribes to the best of her ability thanks to her enchanted object known as the “Heart of Te Fiti” or “Heart” which can reverse death as she sees fit with the council of the queens of the other tribes, whether deeming the death as wrongful or accidental.
Maui’s ambition to please the seven tribes of Pyrrhia eventually led him to steal the animus-touched emerald. Upon its theft, Te Fiti and her tribe vanished. Without Te Fiti to keep the peace and without any rainwing to tell where she had gone, balance began to shift for the worse among the seven tribes.
Queen Te Ka and the Nightwings: As Maui tried to escape the Rainwing Kingdom by flying out to sea, he was immediately confronted and attacked by a group of nightwings and their queen. As he fought, Maui lost the Heart of Te Fiti to the ocean. And upon his loss of the battle Queen Te Ka attacked and caused him to lose his enchanted claw as well before she banished Maui to an unknown, uncharted island on the surface using animus magic, which also gives her the ability to wield lava.
It is rumored that due to foreseeing the sudden shift of power, the nightwings took advantage and declared war for reasons unknown to the other tribes. They started by eradicating the Rainwing tribe the same day Maui stole the Heart in attempt to take it for themselves.
When that plan failed the nightwings proceeded with their plan to wage war regardless, then laid siege on the Seawing Kingdom, resulting in the death of over half their tribe, Queen Starfish, and most of the royal family.
Queen Te Ka (made immortal by her animus magic) and the other tribes are all in search of the Heart of Te Fiti in hopes of controlling Pyrrhia for themselves.
Ocean: This sentient giant octopus has been traveling around on its own ever since the theft of the Heart. The connection it has to the gem itself is unknown, but it seems to spend most of its time around Seawing Continent if not traveling deep within the sea for months, or even years at a time. Ocean will also slip through the alcoves of the continent undetected by other dragons, so the seawing patrols never seem to catch sight of it.
Seawing Tribe: A thousand years ago seawings and their kingdom were attacked and decimated by nightwings after the Heart of Te Fiti was stolen from the Rainwing Kingdom, and they were forced to abandon their home and flee elsewhere after the deaths of their queen and most of the tribe. They found themselves a new home on what is now known as the Seawing Continent, which is too far north for dragons other than the Icewing tribe to travel and where there is plenty of water and food to sustain their own tribe. And to spare themselves the loss of more dragons after the tragedy, the seawings changed the law stating that heirs must fight the current leaders to the death to determine a new ruler, as is done with queens of other tribes. Instead, they fight until one concedes or is unable to fight.
In place of a queen, the Seawings altered dragon tradition to choose kings to lead their tribe, as the only surviving royalty after the attack a thousand years ago were males. Since then it has been custom for the firstborn of each king to take the seawing throne. If the current leader loses, he and his queen retire from the throne. If the heir loses, they will have another chance to challenge the king after a full year.
Over the centuries they have forgotten how to navigate the ocean currents, as well as how to speak Aquatic.
King Tui and Sina: Tui was the most recent heir to the Seawing throne, and he took Sina –the daughter of a seawing general- as his queen. And until their daughter Moana was hatched, all firstborn heirs had been male. He forbade his daughter from going into the deep waters of which the older dragons hunt as well as from leaving the continent due to the dangerous strength of the currents; which the tribe has forgotten how to navigate.
Tala: The previous queen and last living of older royalty, Tala is King Tui’s mother and the tribe’s animus. She still has a place in the royal family, but no say in the leadership due to not being born of royal blood. Her husband, the former seawing king, died of illness long ago. And it is rumored she has been losing her mind since then, spending most of her time swimming alongside the giant manta rays that find their way through the alcoves in the deeper waters of the continent.
Being the eldest, Tala is the last dragon of the tribe that knows how to speak Aquatic, and often teaches her granddaughter Moana how to do so, as well as how to swim with the currents inside the continent wall. She also wears an enchanted shell around her neck that allows her to know the tribe’s history before coming to the Seawing Continent, swim for hours without tiring, and communicate with a mysterious octopus she named ‘Ocean’ that comes and goes from the continent’s waters -regardless of distance. (The shell also doubles as a locket of sorts.)
Moana: Growing up in the safety of the continent’s lands, Moana rarely swam beyond the tide pools and she learned how to speak a little Aquatic as well as how to navigate basic currents from her grandmother. As a hatchling she was visited by the giant octopus Ocean. It had gave her the Heart of Te Fiti after seeing she hid a small sea turtle from the view of a predator on the beach and guiding it safely to the waters.
She promptly lost the gem, but it was retrieved by Tala, who kept it hidden and secret until Moana was almost of proper age to challenge her father for the seawing throne.
It wasn’t until the icewings began arguing territorial rights -systematically stealing all of the Seawing tribe’s food supply due to the fear of being ravaged by war-, the death of Tala, and the dormant volcano beneath the Seawing Continent threatening to erupt again, that the urgency came for the dragonet to leave and journey to Pyrrhia to find Queen Te Fiti and the rainwings, return the Heart, and stop Queen Te Ka’s conquest of war so her tribe can return to the Seawing Kingdom.
Pua and Heihei: These two dragonets are Moana’s adopted siblings, Pua being a mudwing, and Heihei being a tiny rainwing that may very well be the last in existence. Their eggs were found by a seawing patrol in the wreckage of a floating scavenger den that drifted to the continent’s outer side of the border. King Tui elected to raise them as his own after much convincing from Sina and his daughter after they hatched.
Heihei is the youngest and not the sharpest claw on the talons, but he never wanders far from Moana or the village. His scales change into various colors, but he always tends to hold a certain look of blank confusion in his eyes.
Pua is the oldest, but not by much. He doesn’t leave solid land unless Moana takes him for a short swim in the shallows, but he loves being in the water like any seawing would. He’ll sometimes go so far as to beg to ride on her back as she floats with her wings extended on the water. Pua also spends a lot of his time with Heihei, keeping him out of trouble and from getting eaten by grouchy older dragons when he gets on their nerves. But they mostly just take pity on the rainwing for being so dim-witted and being the last of his kind.

Note
Just trying to educate you. Manaketes are usually villains except for the Divine Dragons. The "Evil" Dragontribes are Fire, Mage, and Earth Dragons, with Earth also having a advanced form called a Shadow Dragon. All of them are depicted as male. There is one good Fire Dragon in the series, Bantu, Tiki's stepfather in the first game, its sequel, & their remakes. Aside from him in the Fire Dragons, all those dragon types are exclusively villainous in the series.
well, thanks for the background and lore dump! i’d like to get into more fe games but they lack the availability and i lack the time
