the fact that asa knows stevie so well that he *waited to call her* to tell her to call an ambulance because he knows she would just do it immediately is incredible. my favorite cousins ever.

noooo that kills me 😭 it also shows that asa didn't really need to call stevie, he could've called an ambulance himself since he'd already waited long enough for the pills to kick in, but in truth, he just didn't want to be alone :(

here is the recipe that he loosely follows.

he adds basil and he replaces onions with shallots and celery with green onion stalks!! definitely add your own seasonings to taste bc it can be pretty plain otherwise (he just kinda vibes with whatever he feels like using that day). we also make our own tomato sauce with fresh tomatoes as opposed to buying it canned, which adds abt forty minutes onto the total cooktime but imo is so worth it >:)

past & future for dear afhiri !!!

Past: Does your OC have any past partners? How did the relationship(s) end? Are any of their exes still in their life, and if so, do they get along?

no! :D one of my absolute favourite things about afhiri is their discovery of sex and romance through the events of the game. afhiri grew up raising their many siblings, didn't go to school, had no friends, was considered the weirdo tiefling.. there was no opportunity for afhiri to have a first love let alone actual partners. afhiri is immensely inexperienced at the start of the game, and hasn't even explored their sexual indentity in the most basic of senses.

it's through interacting with the companions, and several npcs, that afhiri learns about romance and sex, what her preferences are, what she is attracted to.. what it means to find attraction in another, what a crush is.

in afhiri's canon karlach and wyll start a romantic relationship with each other, and afhiri is the closest to them both. afhiri begins a situationship with them both. this actually sparks afhiri's own first and proper romantic relationship with gale, who gives her the old 'i would be so much better for you' speech, completely misunderstanding that afhiri is essentially fwb with karlach + wyll, not in a relationship with them... dkfgdgjd

Future: Is there anyone your OC is looking forward to meeting or to seeing again? Who? What might that meeting or reunion look like?

afhiri is very chill during the whole events of the game, not even viewing certain life or death situations with the respect and urgency they deserve. but if there is one thing throughout the game that gives them any measure of anxiety - it's concern for their family in baldur's gate. it is only upon learning the absolute army is marching on baldur's gate that brings afhiri to the reality of the situation they're under.

when they meet with their family again in act 3, her mother has given birth to another kid T_T afhiri missed the birth of a sibling!! this has never happened before!!! afhiri didn't even know their mother was pregnant! they get over it pretty quick, but missing so much and not being there for their family hits like a brick.

hiiii brandi how are u i hope u dont mind me ranting in ur inbox for a sec bc you are the TLOU mutual to me lmao BUT i saw u say that ellie seems more cruel in the show & agree with that to some extent (like her enjoying joel beating up that guy), but i saw her interaction with the infected she found in the basement as more like ? trying to get herself ready for when she finally has to actually fight an infected. like she knows it's inevitable (same with her getting a gun) so she's trying to prepare herself so she doesn't freeze or mess up when it actually counts. i haven't watched an LP of the first game in a while bc i don't own a play station, so i may be missing some of the finer points of her character, but i just think it's neat that we had two different interpretations of that scene :>

yeah that’s totally fair!! i can see why you interpreted that scene like that, especially how you mentioned ellie trying to prepare herself with the gun. i think my big hang-up is the way ellie acted in that scene. if she had more of a curious, concerned, scared, disgusted or even fascinated type of expression while she was cutting into the infected, i would think that suits ellie’s character just fine. but the weirdly blank, emotionless stare looked so creepy to me and it threw me off. and when she actually stabs him, she almost looks.. angry. which is strange to me.

for some reason it made me think of this scene from the game:

which, in my opinion, does a better job of showing ellie's feelings towards the infected. she has a logical, pragmatic view of them – she doesn't think they're still the same person they once were, but she's not heartless about them either. i just can't see THIS ellie making that face while she experimentally carves into an infected person's head fjkjsd

but anyway i appreciate you sending this because it did make me think of that scene in a new way!! it missed the mark for me, but i can definitely see what you mean and i wonder if my opinion will change in later scenes, especially now that she has a gun against joel's wishes, which is a departure from the games!

From the get go Tegan is rapid-fire flipping between possible identities for the whom the dream visitor actually is - keeping it to herself in the beginning, of course. Internally, she thinks it's Vecna at first, before quickly changing course to believing it's the tadpole itself, or the Absolute - once the party learns about it. She immediately advises Tav not to trust the dream visitor, especially once the dream visitor tells them to use the parasites they can take off of true souls.

Ran into some druids. They mentioned a Halsin to help with a cure but we didn't stay long for much further information. We decided to leave when they killed a tiefling child. Made our way to a ruined village, found a creepy book that Astarion called dibs on. He said something about being undead and necromancy and how it was meant to be but whatever, let him unleash unholy darkness on himself.
