Djehuty's (Thoth's) Library is Always Open

I decorated the first page of my journal with an experience I had with Djehuty last year which really helped me get through last semester. I kind of messed up on the moon but overall I'm pretty happy with it.

So I've had a rough week last week amd it seems like this week will be similar. It's only Tuesday and I've already experienced an amount of stress.

I've offered my prayers, worship, and thanks to Djehuty and Anpu tonight. As I stood at Anpus altar praying, a few tears fell and relieved me of a bit of my troubles. He is so kind to aid me in such a way, which I didn't know he could. I don't cry often, and my medication doesn't allow me to either.

I've also said my thanks to Djehuty since I've been accepted into college and will be starting school on May 6th. I'm in the beginning process of making a proper altar for him as well.

a upg i've discussed with others about djehuty; for some reason he loves mandarin oranges. upon sharing this with someone else, another was able to verify they also bought oranges to offer him, unable to control themselves LOL!

so, someone even added on that a mandarin orange has slices like little crescent moons, and come together whole like a full moon. <3

i'm wanting to know if any other djehuty worshippers have come across this? his need for oranges? XD

Introduction

Hello! I'm Teddy, this is my pagan-focused side blog. It used to be my writing blog but I'm repurposing it since that kinda went to shit.

My main pantheons: Hellenism, Heathenry, Kemeticism, and looking more into other african traditions and celtic spirituality.

The funny thing about this piece is I wanted to see how much He was. I had to reach up and take it off the hook to look at it. I then put it back but it jutted out from the wall and I felt nervous. So I caved and plucked Him down from the wall and the hook came out. Dua Djehuty!

I felt super close to Hathor when I saw anything related to Her. It was surprising to feel Her love and presence again after so long and I just couldn't stop myself from getting these. Dua Hathor!

I don't personally work with Khepri, but I do love the scarab beetles. Maybe I'll have to make a lil altar for Him. Dua Khepri!

I was inspired by the beautiful shuffle collages by @mars-and-the-theoi so I made one for Djehuty. I feel like something about the balance doesn't feel quite right but I still feel quite proud of it.

As of late, I feel drawn to Thoth. So much so that I've even begun my attempt to return to college and earn a degree (albeit online instead of on campus). It was an impulse without hesitation. Not to mention that his connection with the moon and my own can not be of pure coincidence.

I've also gotten a tattoo of my main god, Anubis, as a form of devotion. He covers an old tattoo that I didn't vibe with or care about anymore, while I care for him dearly currently. He's in a very painful spot and that also should note my devotion to put myself through that agony a second and third time (this coming Monday to finish it) to put him permanently on my body. Furthermore, I pray to him for protection and safety whenever I go out driving due to my large fear of other drivers. I have been more alert and cautious when out and about, feeling safer out on the road since I've begun doing so.

Hathor had given me a wonderful opportunity last month. To be short without revealing too much personal information, she had given me the chance to see someone I have loved for years. And, one night afterward, I had a bit to drink and had fully confessed my feelings and received a positive response. (However, we are not together for other reasons.)

I'm so relieved to have Thoth/Djehuty's icon finished and framed. The 28-count stitching was easier this time around thanks to experience and better needle cleaning habits, but I was incredibly anxious after finishing and before it was framed. Now it's done, and his altar is up, and I can use my brain for other things, such as writing a poem for him! (It's a certified WIP)

Offerings included espresso, honey cake, a little painting of the Moon, and a pen that was a gift from an undergrad friend. Bast also got gifts (honey cake and iced tea) because everyone gets refreshments at the grand opening!
