'...Speaking to the Sunday Independent ahead of tonight’s Golden Globes, Ros Hubbard, the casting agent who discovered Colin Farrell, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Sienna Miller and Orlando Bloom, said Irish actors have mastered the art of an unaffected screen presence.

She was speaking as Irish stars Barry Keoghan, Cillian Murphy and Andrew Scott are nominated in the Best Actor in a Motion Picture — Drama category at the Golden Globes tonight for their performances in Saltburn, Oppenheimer and All Of Us Strangers respectively.

Asked for the secret to the Irish success, Ms Hubbard said: “I think everyone wants to portray feeling and character but our actors are not overburdened with too much ‘poncey’ [pretentious or affected] training. Most of their work is through film. You are getting a genuine truthful delivery in their acting. I can’t even think of one Irish actor who would irritate me. They are just natural-born actors and the difference between them and me is that they know how to bring it to the next level which is showing people what they mean. Absolutely bringing the script to life the way they do.”

Asked what she meant by “poncey training” Ms Hubbard said: “Well for a long time people in the British Isles were over-trained, very theatrical, very put on and very unnatural. The Irish have a very natural way of putting scripts across to the audience. That’s what I mean.”

Ms Hubbard, who has worked with all three best actor nominees, said each one has a mercurial “magic” that makes them special.​

As you probably predicted, I'm choosing to talk about my OceanBerry AU (aka my Chucky AU/Retelling of the Chucky TL)!

1. You remember the three human friends that Chucky is buddies with that I've talked about in this post long ago?

Well I FINALLY have found some live action faceclaims for them!! (Please don't take the IRL ages of these actors into account since I only need them to demonstrate appearance)

2. I have also found live action faceclaims for Glen's boyfriend Kahuna and Glenda's girlfriend Natalie (OCs of mine) as well!

And same as the first time, real ages of the actors does not factor in choosing them as a faceclaim, only appearance is!

3. Chucky and Eddie are in the midst of attempting to reconcile and reestablish their adoptive brotherhood (since before the Big Incident in 1988, Chucky and Eddie regarded each other as brothers)

They still have a LOT of sour feelings on each other's ends for their own respective reasons (Chucky for being abandoned when he needed his little brother the most and Eddie for literally being blown tf up)

Eddie is still much more resentful than Chucky since Chucky started to feel more thankful towards Eddie as time went on with having his family, Eddie tends to be a lot more snappier and grumpier around Chucky but is still able to tolerate him and even sometimes have a good bonding moment like they used to

Chucky on the other hand just acts like how an asshole big brother would to their little brother, just messing with them in stupid ways like how they used to do as kids/young adults

4. If anyone ever wanted to know what John/Dr. Death does in his free time/where he lives in the Ray house, he basically just keeps to himself in the attic of the house studying and practicing his magic and spirituality

He does come down to other parts of the house on occasion and regularly interacts with the Rays (but talks to and hangs out with Eddie the most), since he acts as the family's advisor/guide the kids and Chucky tend to go to him in the attic a lot since he tends to have knowledge they need

The state of Chucky and John's friendship is still... Icy but is much better than it was before!

I also HC that they were childhood friends as well, thus that being how Chucky found him to teach him Magic and Soul Bending/Shifting (what I'm calling the spell/s where Chucky would transfer souls and such) and Soulmancy (what I'm replacing the Voodoo with cuz yall know why)

5. The Rays do, in fact, have a dog that acts as a family companion and guard dog that keeps the house and the kids safe (in Chucky's words) that they all got as a puppy when the youngest (my Chiffany fankid Buddy) was around 9 years old

The dog is a 4 year old medium sized but very muscular German Shepherd/Pitbull Mix that's dubly named King Ghidorah, very vicious, strong and protective of his property and family when need be, but is most of the time a giant sweetheart that likes to think he's a lapdog

Fun fact: King Ghidorah was given to The Rays by Chucky's friend Jerry when he had found the pup in a box of "free puppies" that was stationed in front of the Walmart that's in Hackensack and decided that a puppy from that box would've made a GREAT birthday gift for Buddy

Ofc, since Buddy was a 9 year old, he LOVED it! King Ghidorah is now closest/bonds the most with Buddy, Chucky, and June/Junior all in that order (though Ghidorah loves EVERYONE)!

Raugo tešlos grissini (dublis nr. 2)

Jei niekur neisi, tai niekur ir nenueisi - trypčiosi vietoje ir tiek. Paskum tas stovėjimas atsibos ir tada pradėsi dejuoti apie pasaulio netobulumą, nuobodumą ir neišraiškingumą. Todėl reikia judėti. Geriausia į priekį. Bet galima ir į šoną - kairį ar dešinį. Kai eini, nesvarbu į kurią pusę, ką nors prieini. O eidamas dar ir patirčių visokių prisigaudai, aplinka pasidomi, kvėpavimą subalansuoji. Pasitaikantis vėjas šiukšles iš smegenų visokias išpusto ir naujų privelia. Tada turi darbo su rūšiavimu - vis šioks toks užsiėmimas. Bet gerai ir tas vėjas, ir netikėtos mintys, ir, aišku, darbas su jomis . Nes mokėjimas atsirinkti yra geras ir naudingas dalykas, šiaip ar taip.

Bet va kas liečia itališkas duonos lazdeles, tai nieko atsirinkinėti nereikia - kepi, o paskui imi ir griauži. Net tada, kai nesi alkanas. Arba kai neturi ką veikti. Arba kai turi, bet nenori. O kai nieko nenori, būtinai reikia ką nors kramsnoti - laikas taip neprailgsta - pasidedi dubenį kompaniją palaikančių skanėtų ir sėdi apie nieką. Ir va čia, va būtent šitoj vietoj turi atsidurti grakščiosios duonos lazdelės. Jokių klausimų (šiuo klausimu) kilti neturėtų, na nebent vienas - noriu minkyti ir kepti ar šiandien gal ne? Jei ne, šneką baigiam, o jei atsakymas teigiamas, keliaujam toliau.

Kartais žmonės mano, kad raugas sukurtas be darbo gyventi negalintiems, bet jei pasigilini, supranti, kad visai gal ir ne. Kartais aš net galvoju, kad su raugu tąsytis gali tik didžiausi pasaulio tinginiai. Nes grissini sukurti baltarankiams arba baltarankėms :) O kas pasakys, kad ne? Tešla taigi balta? Na va, jei balta, vadinasi, skirta ne kam kitam, o prisiekusiems baltarankiams. Be to, šitos, pakankamai drėgnumo savyje turinčios tešlos, net minkyti nereikės - lanksčiau ją tokiu pat būdu, kaip kad kvietinei raugo duonai.

Jei gamindami lazdeles tešlą kaip reikiant ištempsite (o tempsis ji puikiai), iškepusios bus traškios, bet jei norisi puraus minkštimo, nepersistenkite ir darykite savo duoneles kiek storesnes - pirmą ir net antrą dieną minkštumas išliks, tačiau laikui bėgant, ypač, jei duoneles laikysite neuždengtas, jos džius ir tada mėgausitės subtiliu traškumu.

Rytinis grožis po 12 val fermentacijos ant stalo, kambario temperatūroje, kuriuo negalėjau nepasidalinti (nuotrauka apačioje)

Reikės:

-240 g kvietinių miltų;

-100 g aktyvaus kvietinio raugo;

-150 g vandens;

-1/2 a. š. druskos;

-2 v. š. alyvuogių aliejaus;

-1 a. š. cukraus;

Papildomai:

-aliejaus;

-šiek tiek džiovintų žolelių ir rūkytos druskos lazdelėms apibarstyti.

Gaminimas:

1.Dubenyje sumaišyti vandenį, raugą, aliejų, druską ir cukrų. Dėti miltus ir užmaišyti tešlą - ji bus lipni. Dubenį uždengti ir palikti pusvalandžiui.

2.Kas pusvalandį atlikti 3 tešlos tampymus ir užlenkimus. Po veiksmo dubenį uždengti maistine plėvele arba drėgnu rankšluosčiu.

3.Po trečiojo lankstymo dubenį uždengti ir palikti kambario temperatūroje - laikau ją apie 12 valandų (per naktį).

4.Ryte tešlą išimti, dėti ant miltais pabarstyti darbastalio ir suformuoti rutulį.

5.Tešlą įvynioti į maistinę plėvelę ir dėti į šaldytuvą kokiai valandai.

6.Tešlą supjaustyti nedideliais gabaliukais, kiekvieną rankose pakočioti, o paskui dar ir švelniai ištempti.

7.Prieš kepant patepti aliejumi, lengvai pabarstyti rūkyta druska ir žolelėmis. Kepti 220*C apie 6-8 minutes - kuo lazdelės bus storesnės, tuo ilgiau keps - stebėkite spalvą ir kai tik grissini rustels, traukite lauk.

Lazdeles, kaip minėjau, labai smagu kramsnoti vienas (bet kokiu metų ar paros laiku), bet kartais man jos atstoja duoną tada, kai ant stalo pasidedu dubenį salotų ar šiltos sriubos.
