I'm gonna add Professional Duckling Rescuer to my resume cause I'm out here at 9 PM jumping into the pool to chase ducklings that are stuck and can't figure the ramp out up to get them out of the water before it gets way too cold for them.
-_- why do these ducks gotta be so stupid that they keep getting their babies stuck in the classic Sims Death Pool -_-
I have work in the morning and should be getting to bed, but no, I have to jump into the pool and save a duckling
At the VERY least I got a closer eye on the weird "dad sticking around the babies" this time cause this was once again a case where the male stuck around the female and young and I can note that he was 1) seemingly displaying 2) did seem concerned and stuck around for a while when the female and duckling were being "chased by a predator" and attempted to help guard them 3) noped out pretty quickly and FULLY noped by flying far away
So I am wondering if this "dad sticking around" is due to early mating combined with the intent to double clutch (ie have a second nest right after the first ones fledge) with the same female.
Anyways guys, why do ducks want to get their babies pneumonia
Yes! Ducks are neat! We have some neighbors that have very pretty ducks, and they go outside and walk every day, especially when it rains. They've got a cute little pond behind their house that they swim in as well!
Would love to meet them one day, they seem lovely.
I love eating and I eat something usually every time I go somewhere and my bf said it's like taking a livestock to a new pasture and I don't think I've ever been so flattered.
I'm thinking about making a side blog where all I do is just post daily photos of ducks. I'll try go down to the creek behind my house once a day and take some photos, but if there are no ducks or I can't do that for some reason I'll just find some photos I already had on my phone.
Ok maybe this is an unpopular opinion but, and this is just me, I find it quite wasteful and honestly just not right how no one is taking advantage of the fact that I am soft and warm and snuggly and touch-starved
Like literally how is it fair that no one is settling into a cozy nest with me right now to cuddle? Or giving me a hug? A little smooch on my forehead perhaps? Maybe running their fingers through my feathers?
I made a joke about Lucifer showing up in 10 inch platform heels the next time he knows he's going to see Alastor and immediately rolling his ankle so I drew it lol.
