My headcanon is that Dirk and Dustin are buddies who balance each other out and learn from each other. I think both would bond over their family's situation (poor + dead parent 😭) but are different personality and ambition wise. Dustin is street smart, Dirk is academically smart. Dirk is socially smarter. Dustin is life experience smarter (having to work and look after his younger siblings)

Uberhood (162) - Broke, Dustin

This is what an average weekend of Dustin Broke looks like. He's kind of a lone wolf. 😅

A few days later, while visiting the local grocery store, Dustin met a beautiful red-head named Tara DeBateau and immediately rolled the following want.

*rubbing hands* I think I have an idea for a storyline.. 💡

Normally someone like Tara DeBateau, a sophisticated young lady from a good family, would never associate with a guy like Dustin Broke, but Dustin has a certain way of charming his way through and turning the good girls bad. Dustin isn't as stupid as most people think he is. He knows girls like Tara (or Angela) may be out of his league, or let's say expect something else, but in this particular case he's interested in something else.. 👀

Another few days later Dustin got a visit from his best friend Dirk Dreamer. Dustin would never admit it but he desperately needed that visit. As mentioned above he's quite lonely ever since he moved to the big city. Now that Dirk and Lilith live nearby, they can hopefully see each other more often.

They spent the rest of the evening playing kicky bag..

...reminiscing the good old times and eating pizza. 🍕

good evening simblr! yet another pleasantview render because ummmm. im brainrotted. i have no excuse. this render takes place on the night that lilith gave dustin his piercings only because dirk pays her to.

dirk and lilith are still very close. even though their romantic relationship ended, they remain best friends and have been since childhood. due to circumstances out of their control, they stop talking for a few years after 2007. they reconnect later on and their friendship is stronger than ever.

dustin and lilith have known of each other because of angela and dustin's relationship. they would never hang out with each other outside of dirk. they get along solely because they both love him. they have a sibling type of relationship. they make fun of each other but it's mostly jokes.

i like to think that this is a picture darren takes of them all together. he loves dirk's friends and he sees little parts of himself in both of them. as always my asks are open if you're curious about more of my thoughts towards them :)

I've been playing in anotherplumbob's uberhood! Here's my version of some of the Pleasantview guys from ts2

Despite everything, the girls still got to go to prom with their respective boyfriends. Surely nothing can go wrong there! 🍰

Okay, let's imagine for a moment that Buzz would accept Tank is gay.

Still, it's obvious that Tank wouldn't have complete freedom to choose his partner. Buzz wouldn't allow him to date an alien or someone who simply doesn't meet Buzz's standards. Then I got to thinking that premade might be an 'apt' boyfriend.

First you have to rule it out. Johnny, Dustin, Mercutio, Romeo and Puck would definitely NOT be.

Johnny for more than obvious reasons, Dustin is a delinquent, Mercutio and Romeo would be too 'rebellious' for Buzz and Puck…. Mmm, he's okay. But he's a fairy, and I doubt Buzz's hatred would be limited to just aliens…. (and maybe he looks too queer for Buzz… I'm just saying…).

So our only two candidates are: Tybalt and Dirk.

Okay, now the suffering begins, BE PREPARED.

Let's start with Tybalt. Truth be told, the two share quite a few things in common.

They wear ridiculous makeup.

They are the only ones of the new generation who take family rivalry TOO seriously.

They are most likely closeted gays.

They cling too tightly to their family values.

Both carry the trauma of having lost their parents. In Tank's case it was his mother and Tybalt was both.

From Buzz's perspective, Tybalt is a great choice. Just think about it, the Capps are much wealthier than the Grunts. Even if Tank becomes General, as we already saw with Buzz himself, that doesn't exactly mean they'll be wealthy. So what better than to secure your son's financial future and, why not, give him even more power? Wow, it even sounds like Buzz is a good father...

Both Tybalt and Tank (wow, they both start with T :0) are somewhat problematic. But it's clear that Tybalt knows how to behave decently in social events, so I think that for Buzz it won't be so much of a problem.

Now let's move to Dirk.

The only thing I could tell they have in common is that they both lost their mother.

Well, he's not a money guy. Which would definitely bother Buzz a little bit. But Dirk is a pretty calm guy. He has good grades and, given being a sim of fortune, it's assumed that he has big ambitions in life.

If he had a choice, I bet he'd choose him. Because he doesn't want Tank to get in trouble or do inappropriate things (whatever Buzz deems "inappropriate"). He just doesn't want his to ruin his reputation and career.

Sorry if I said several idiocies, but I think it's pretty obvious that I don't play another neighborhood besides strangetown. So I have a very vague view of Tybalt and Dirk (especially Dirk).
