ㅤThey hadn't seen each other in a while. Not due to anyone's fault, of course not. It would have taken a lot to remove the two of them from each other's side, it was more that they ended up moving in different circles. Things that can happen sometimes when you have two people in such a grand journey who need to search for different answers to different things on their own. A burden that for someone like Link, who was attempting to save the world, could run in—very rapid and different changing ways. He had to save the world, nothing about that was ever actually straightforward, despite what legends would have you believe.
ㅤSheik, for his part, was still searching for answers to his dreams and certain information on the Sheik tribe in general. The things he could do that had long since been lost to the turning of time. He ran into a few hints, whispers of things he could dig up, search through, but it would take time. Link was still attempting to complete the shrines that would purify him of the calamity that was clinging to his Zonai arm. The shrines were things that Sheik couldn't enter, nor could he help him complete.
ㅤSo, in light of this, he suggested a compromise.
ㅤHe wanted to go explore these rumors he had picked up, and Link could run around unweighted down by him to complete a few extra shrines. They'd meet up and compare notes. It wasn't an ideal situation, it wasn't at all what Link wanted and he could see it on his face. But Sheik also knew that Link would never tell him no, knowing how important it was for him to find these answers. To the nightmares, to the things he can do but can't control, to what happened to the Sheikah. Which meant he agreed, he'd always agree to what Sheik wanted, and they decided to meet up later at one of the stables.
ㅤTo follow the rumors, Sheik had started in Kakariko Village, the old underground tunnels that were used for storage. He searched through a few books, wrote down what he needed, and then left to follow the rumors. It took him from stable to stable, listening to the things that people said, the stories that they wove. At one point, he had even ended up in Hateno Village talking to his Aunt, and then in the Great Forest of Hyrule to discuss things with the Great Deku Tree. He is not as giving with information as other people are, discussing things with a tree is like slowly carving ones sanity open.
ㅤBy the time he felt he had made any sort of headway, the rumors looping him back around to Hateno Village and a Well, Sheik had to return to Link.
ㅤThey met at Dueling Peaks Stable and Sheik had stayed outside in one of the trees, going over the notes he had taken in a small book. He missed the convenience of the Sheikah Slate as much as he also missed having Link around to bounce ideas off of. He made a few connecting spots, drew lines to a few different interesting passages, he had a story he just didn't know the beginning or the end. The strange sound of the Sheikah Technology caught his attention and he turned his head to the side, watching the swirling blue lights that eventually formed the Hero and that red tunic he was rather partial too.
ㅤSlipping down from the tree he tucked his book away and took a few cautious steps toward Link, running his gaze along him to check him over.
ㅤ"Did you get any closer to completing the shrines?"

Leon had not expected to see someone else here when he had arrived. Not that it was bad that someone else was here. Actually he was glad someone still came to visit the spring of courage.
Not that he had felt much connection to his goddess anymore, he still felt comfort when he came here, himself. But he was a little surprised that someone else came to visit, he had thought the site was long forgotten by most.
But as he did come closer and see whom it was that was here, he paused his step. Not sure if he should interrupt them or not, he knew how private of a moment this could be for others.
So he opts to stay stood when he is, holding the small bundle of flowers he had brought with him.

@dutifulsilence / @hyliagenesiia gets another starter
He had no true concept of how long he had been alive. Memories were the hardest for him to hold onto; when the blood moon rose, a strange, bestial anger overtook him, and it robbed him of any semblance of humanity that he had regained the previous moon cycle. Worse was if the moon turned red and there was any malice around him. It felt like what was left of his soul was ripped from him as the malice all-but overtook him. Time and again it happened like clockwork, trapping him in the near-Sisyphean cycle.
But the blood moons... had stopped.
And the malice receded into the earth.
The stories came next. Of a figure that looked like Link, only he clearly wasn't. Black hair, red eyes, and skin that looked almost like the color of fallen snow. The hero, but clearly not. More like his shadow, or a shade that had managed to come alive.
It wouldn't take long for the rumors to reach the ears of anyone who would find it in their best interest to investigate such things.
His home was simple enough. The remains of a burned down cabin that had been cleaned out the best he could, with the worst of the missing roof replaced with a leaky canopy that at least directed the rain out instead of having it all fall in. One wall was entirely gone, so it would never be hard for anyone to sneak up, or at least try to; at the first sound of footsteps he was on his feet, hand going for his sword.
It wasn't the Master Sword. It couldn't be. But the Royal Sword still bore an eerie resemblance in his hands, as did the clothing; a tunic top near identical to the one Zelda had sewn herself, only in a startling shade of black instead of blue.
"Who are you?"

That the chieftain's mysterious second child was the most protected member of her family was an irony not lost on him. Most of the world was vaguely aware that the Gerudo were in possession of a boy, now, much to Urbosa's Chagrin, and the danger that put him in was obscene.
It came from all directions the moment he left Gerudo Town. The Yiga were after him and had been for some time now - he'd damn near been caught once, and he wasn't keen to repeat the experience. There were also those amongst the Sheikah that, even despite orders to the contrary, couldn't seem to leave him alone if he entered Hyrule. As a result, he was all but trapped in the desert, and when he did leave, it was with a heavier escort than either of his mothers or sister combined.
He had mostly made peace with this during his teens, though it remained exhausting. It was actually the monsters that still made him a bit nervous.
Whether lizalfos, moblin, or molduga, they seemed drawn to him somehow. It first happened to him as a child, a memory he revisited more often than he cared to. It would be one thing if they would take his command, but they would get so close, then either start attacking everyone around him, or just stare. The latter was almost worse.
So now, when Urbosa and Nabura spoke with several generals in the bazaar, he sat on top of the watch tower, shooting the occasional arrow at the swarm of keese that was trying to inch ever closer to him. One was enough every few minutes to keep them at bay, but he still didn't relish his role as the local albatross of bad luck.
"Sweet Seven, will you just leave me be!" He muttered under his breath, reaching into his quiver for a lightning arrow. Yes, it would shower those below in keese wings, but at least they were useful. He ought to be thanked, really.

Sketched younger Raven (in his soldier days).
Starting to think he was a flirt at this age (late teens to early 20s), before he met Gwyn. Because he's got a seductive head tilt and bedroom eyes in this sketch. No I'm not redoing it, it's amazing.
@dutifulsilence do you think link got his sluttiness from his mom or his dad, because over here, both gwyn and raven are... irrepressible

🤞 ( ok but hear me out - gloom servant Rin vs Shion after Rin's full corrupted )
Meme Tag -- @dutifulsilence
Shion's sides heaved as he rested on his knees, panting. His strongest bow had been shattered and his sword had been knocked away, scattered a few short feet away that might as well have been the entire way across Hyrule given the malice creeping toward him and the blade pressed to his own neck. Sweat beaded his forehead after the fight, one where he'd largely kept to defense and deflection, trying to outlast the other fighter, to endure for as long as he could in hopes...
In hopes that his brother might return.
But as burning fingers pressed to his chin, raising his gaze upwards, he saw none of his brother's expression behind the eyes of the malice creature before him. The thing that had once been his brother. And even though Shion knew logically that he might have to kill Rin, he could never do it.
Never in another hundred years.
A flattened palm circled weekly over his chest, tears leaking out of the corners of his eyes. << Please. >>

"Ah, Link. You've arrived just in time," Mipha exclaimed. It had been some time since the Hylian knights had visited Zora's domain. The journey out to the domain was becoming more perilous by the day, "I have a favor to ask... If you don't mind."
She looked at the knights and guards that had accompanied him, and none seemed particularly bothered by her request, so they gestured Link off.
"My apologies. I know you're here on business, and it might be a bit rude of me to keep you from your duties, but I have a task that could not be delayed a moment longer."

@dutifulsilence;; Sheik and Link. ❝ i only sleep well when you're next to me. ❞ Memes. Word Count: 2,741
ㅤSheik doesn't remember Link being this—ah, clingy? That felt like such a cruel word to use but it was honestly the only word that came to mind. After the dance, and the very weird conversation that Link tried to have with him, he hasn't really… left him alone? He has, but he hasn't. The very next day, Sheik had walked to work like he usually did. Expecting the Hylian Champion to be once again glued to the Princess' side and trying to to take care of her. He knows things are kind of… odd between them, Impa has talked about it with him a few times. The Princess wanted independence, it was Link's job to protect her. Two problems, no real solution.
ㅤLink, often referred to as the Silent Knight because he didn't talk to anyone, had apparently started looking for him. Now, this was odd for several reasons. The first one was the fact that Link had never paid a single bit of attention to him before, Sheik was certain he didn't even know he existed. The second was that in his time here, he's only ever seen the other in the library perhaps—three times. Three and each time it was to look through a specific category of books before leaving. He didn't seem like much of an avid reader, and he never stopped to see if anyone looked for him. He just looked for a book, maybe took it, and then left.
ㅤNever said a single word. Apparently to anyone much less Sheik.
ㅤYet now, not only had he spoken to him several times last night, he then stated looking for him. Sheik knew because a few of the Knights he did talk to informed him and they had, apparently, very willingly pointed the Hylian Champion in his direction. To which Sheik asked if they were out of their minds because he honestly had no idea what the other could have wanted from him. Other than perhaps to continue their talk from last night before they were interrupted. The very odd, very insane talk that he tried to have.
ㅤHe was an archivist, his job was knowledge. Which his people had been for generations so it wasn't much of a surprise, the important thing was that he actually quite enjoyed it. The peace and quiet of the library that was now getting disrupted by a certain blonde haired Hylian.
ㅤHonestly, seeing as the Champion didn't show up immediately, Sheik had sort of—thought he forgot? And there was initially a rather upsetting feeling at that. The sinking realization that he might not actually be worth the other's time and effort. Their dance last night had been fun actually, Link was rather skilled at it and Sheik had been trained since a young age to ballroom dance. Though it was rare that the Sheikah were actually invited to things like that, unless they were important enough to matter for it. Seeing as his family were from the direct linage of Sheikah, even the red color of their eyes passed down, they were prepared a bit more than the others.
ㅤOne never knew how the world would go, after all. And the Sheikah were prepared for anything. Always the last resort to protect Hyrule, yet the first to raise their weapons to defend it.
ㅤTheir conversation, although odd in all honesty, had actually brought a few of those reminders back to his mind. Although in history it had always been Princess Zelda that had prophetic visions, that foresaw the disaster that ravaged Hyrule by the Great Evil there was no strict rule in place that said it had to be here. Especially with her struggling to awaken her powers, Sheik wondered if perhaps the visions had struck the Hero of Hyrule this time. Sheik had to admit that Link carried all the signs of them. That sword that was said to be the Blade of Evil's Bane, the blonde hair, the bright blue eyes—if he just had the green tunic and perhaps descended from the forest he'd hit the legend to the absolute letter.
ㅤHow Sheik has actually craved to study that blade. Purah would be jealous if he managed to get his hands on it before her.
ㅤㅤNo. No.
ㅤㅤㅤFocus.
ㅤThe Sheikah lazily flipped a page in the book he was staring at, the Hyrule Historia that he had plugged off of the shelf in the restricted section. Handwritten by each generation of the Royal Family before them, this book was more fragile than it looked and worth far more than Sheik's life even. He had been searching for any specific entry on prophetic dreams, but mostly all he saw was things he was already aware of. Nothing at all about the Hero having them, but nothing about them not either. Since this books specifically was only ever written in by the Royal Family, anything from the Hero's perspective was never categorized.
ㅤUnhelpful, actually, but then there was always very little known about the Hero themselves. Even where they come from was random at points, never quite specific and never quite detailed. One of Sheik's favorite legends was about the Hero of Time but there was far less known about him than any of the others actually. Even the last Hero, the one from ten thousand years ago where the ancient technology was used, they have very little records on him and nothing useful.
ㅤSheik hadn't been permitted near the Divine Beasts or any of the other things they dug up, that had all been left to Purah who was in her field day with Robbie. A bit disappointing, actually. He would have liked to have gotten close to them, seen what magic their ancestors were truly capable of. Sheik had some talent to him for it, with the harp actually, but he never quite mastered the skill and with his discomfort with those dreams—well, he thought sometimes it was best to leave somethings in the dark.
ㅤHe gently closed the Hyrule Historia book and picked it up, holding it in his arms as he carried it back to it's case. He made sure to lock it up tightly before checking the time. Long enough had passed he was actually supposed to meet with Impa for a meeting now, as much as he would have liked to have stuck around and seen if Link showed up. Grabbing his jacket from the back of the chair he pulled the beige top on and made his way out the side door onto the path.
ㅤImpa had Sheik digging up as much records and information as he could on the ancient technology they had started to discover. Per her request he was actually carefully categorizing every single part of it and keeping detailed records of any mention of them he found in the books. He had even, with her permission, been going through their own archives though much of what he has pulled up had a bit of a learning curve. Like with any language, as time progressed, the writing itself started to change. What they spoke and wrote now wasn't the same as what they did then and Sheik needed to teach himself the different characters. It made progress slow, which frustrated everyone including him. But he was doing his best, which Impa understood.
ㅤWith his work and Purah's studies, they had starred to piece together information about the things their family created. Impa checked in every now and again to see if he had anything knew and go over what he did manage to translate or dig up. She had a talent working with people and seeing things in a light no one else did, but she wasn't as good at research and understanding complex things as Sheik and Purah was. Impa could help them see it from a different angle, but she couldn't understand it anymore than they could.
ㅤWhich was the problem they ran into this time.
ㅤWhat Sheik had managed to dig up seemed quite old and the words on it seemed almost like a cross between Sheikah and Hylian. Despite how much the two of them poured over it, all she did was shrug and tell him she had no idea what they were looking at. Not entirely a dead end, Sheik needed to write and break down what it said, but to him any progress was still progress in whatever was going on in Hyrule. Their meeting only took a little over an hour today with the dead end hit and after departing from his Aunt he made his way back to the library with the papers held tightly to his chest.
ㅤHe did not actually expect to run into Link now. The Champion was tucked against the desk Sheik had been sitting in previously, the Sheikah's harp on the table along side his bag. The harp had been moved he realized, tugged closer to the other actually and Sheik eyed it suspiciously before turning to carry his stuff back to the desk in the room. He sat it down with his papers, the notes on the things he had broken down from it and picked up the books he had meant to put away hours ago.
ㅤThis time, Link didn't talk and Sheik worked around him while keeping a close eye and ear on the other. He looked a bit rough, exhausted actually, and Sheik wondered if he had even been permitted to go home last night or if he was stuck guarding Zelda outside her room. He honestly has no idea how the Champion does it, how he even manages to guard her all the time without losing his sanity. There had to be a system, right? Where he got a break and someone else took his place. To not allow that was almost—abuse in some way. Making him work endlessly without a single break in sight.
ㅤSheik worked from the morning till somewhere in the late afternoon. Kakariko Village was a fairly good walk from the Castle and the Sheikah didn't like riding horses. So he walked the distance every single day, and got home somewhere late in the evening. He didn't mind the walk, but it was time consuming. Any job was.
ㅤSo the thought that he worked endlessly without a break? Rather distressing. Sheik's quite confident it would have broke him, if their situations were reversed. But they weren't, he wasn't the Hero, and he had no right to talk about how things went for Link.
ㅤSpeaking of Link, when Sheik rounded the corner to get more books his gaze dropped onto the table and found the Champion asleep of all things. The Sheikah paused in his steps, glanced out the window and judged the time on the sun's positions. Should he wake him? Was he on a time limit here? Was he not allowed to fall asleep? Sheik had no idea. But a part of him—really didn't want to wake the other up. Shaking his head he made his way slowly over toward the man at his table and paused at his side.
ㅤAfter a bit of hesitating instead of waking him up, Sheik reached up and removed his coat from his own shoulders. Shaking it out he draped the fabric over the other's shoulders like a makeshift blanket and then went back to work. Leaving him there like that in the hopes that he would get a little bit of rest even if it wasn't going to be a lot. Something to comfort him at the very least, something to give him a break from all the stress that he seemed to be under. Even if he might not believe the things that other spouted at him last night, that didn't mean Sheik didn't feel for him.
ㅤIt can't be easy to carry the entire burden of Hyrule on your shoulders, especially when it started at such a young age.
ㅤHe sleeps a while, actually. Hours. To the point that Sheik actually has to send guards away when they come looking for him. There might have been a few threats of violence when they attempted to persist, a dagger might have even appeared when they didn't take his words and leave. It got so late that he actually started shutting the library doors and blowing a few candles out, latching the windows shut to keep the breeze out.
ㅤHe's slept in the library before, when he got stuck on something he was working on and Sheik was actually prepared to do it again if the Hero didn't wake up. He was worried about his nutrition levels though, he hadn't eaten in a while and eventually he was going to start to get hungry. As Sheik was debating the need for sleep over the consumption of food, he actually heard the Hero stir at the desk. The Sheikah paused in searching his bag for a snack pack, head turning slowly toward the man and blinking at him.
ㅤAs he started to move, started to pick his head up, Sheik shifted and watched the very bed-headed Hylian start to take in his surroundings. Almost as if he had forgotten where he was. Their gazes met across the room and Sheik slowly pulled out the bag of dried fruits and nuts, along with the jar of steeped sun tea he had soaked before coming out here. "Hi?" That was not meant to come out as a question. He sat his bag back down and carried the two items over toward the table, setting them down and pushing them toward the other. "Here, you should eat and drink something. You slept about… six hours?" Give or take. "It's dark out now."
ㅤHe expected excuses, maybe a remark about how tired he was, literally anything than what he actually got in response. ❝ i only sleep well when you're next to me. ❞
ㅤRight. Of course. Why would he expect anything else?
Except where Sheik is quite positive this was the only time the Champion had fallen asleep near him, or been near him at all actually. Considering the fact that, aside from last night, they've never actually exchanged even a words to each other. Again, Sheik was certain Link didn't even know he existed up until that night. Apparently the other had different thoughts in his head. Odd thoughts that he really wanted to pick apart, just to see if what he was thinking might be a possibility. He grabbed the chair across from the other and tugged it out, sliding himself into it across from the other man. Reaching his hand across the table he grabbed his harp and pulled it over toward him, setting it down in front of himself now. He hadn't dared touch it before as it seemed Link was using it almost as a makeshift pillow. How that was possible with a hard gold object he honestly had no idea.
ㅤ"Several of the guards came looking for you but I chased them all away." Leaning onto the table he rested his fingers over the strings, plucking a few as his own gaze drifted over toward the Master Sword resting against the table beside Link. "I think they're going to give you the rest of the day off after I threatened to remove one of the Captain's tongue from his mouth. Not sure which one, I'm not very good with their names, but he had it coming." Pushy that man was, and Sheik doesn't do pushy. This was his library and rank didn't matter inside of it. "If you intend on spending the night in here I have a few blankets you can borrow. Blankets that are not my coat." An attempt at a tease.

"Am I not allowed to compliment my pet?" The king laughed, gilded claws lightly tracing intricate patterns into soft flesh 'neath cloth. This tiny little thing had evoked such strong feelings inside his heart...
... How infuriating.
Once more did he claim the champions lips hungrily, pouring the intensity of his irritation into the action as he pulled the blond 'gainst himself. If neither could breathe, then he need not humor thoughts of anything but desire.

Ship bias + Revali
Revali x Champions { Mipha, Daruk and Urbosa } - Reason I put them like this is I could see them more like a platonic kind of polycule? But could see him getting on better with for the biggest example Mipha, he's always gentle hearted towards her from the little we see of them both in game interact. Urbosa he respects a lot so could see them working possibly. I think he would with Daruk too in a platonic way - this would be very slow burn to get to that point with their contrasting personalities though.
Revali x Zelda - Okay but this, more specifically I think this could happen more likey after the Calamity, with Revali a little more emotional and probably would cling to the people who have been through similar to him over the Last 100 years fighting. I could see them being a comfort for one another honestly and in my head its so sweet.
Revali x Link - Okay so this has been put separately even if he is technically a Champion too. Their relationship is complicated but with patience and time { and a lot of fanart ive seen that may have influenced me but it is hecking cute } I could see them maybe falling for one another. I think love is complicated for Revali and he doesn't always know how to express it or experince especially with someone as stotic as Link lets himself appear when they first meet. Rivalary to Love, Brotherly Love and Familal support. I think I can like all the things about these two separately and in different circumstances and verses / threads.
tdlr I really want to write more ship things eventually with him and explore all these romantically or platonically. The birb is complicated and it will take time for him to do so but I want him to be happy gdi!!!
These are just the ones within LOZ/BOTW but I'm open to crossover characters cause sometimes those ships are some of my favourites!

@dutifulsilence is, once again, on the receiving end of Revali's ire. Perhaps he breathed a bit too loudly.
"Amazingly, your wordless gawping isn't the most tedious thing about you. No, the constant prophetic wibbling from everyone else within a ten meter radius of you is worse. Far worse.
My only hope -- a dismally frail one, mind you -- is that they'll eventually run out of ways to say 'you are the chosen one' and stop. Forever.
I may weep openly when they do. That's how tiring it is."
