Nathan Griffith got a No Contact Order against his wife, May Oyola, a day after May was arrested and charged with Domestic Battery earlier this month.

The Sun revealed on Thursday that Nathan was, indeed, the victim of May’s alleged attack on January 6 and that the former Teen Mom 2 dad had allegedly been hit in the head by his wife during a fight in their Las Vegas home.

As a result, a No Contact Order has been taken out, forbidding May from having any contact with Nathan. She was informed of this in court on January 7. (It is not known if this was Nathan’s decision, or if the No Contact Order was automatically taken out by the court as a result of the nature of the alleged crime.)

May is forbidden from having contact with her husband until at least April 8.

According to the Domestic Violence Report obtained by The Sun, Nathan’s sister called the police and reported the incident. (It is unknown if this is Nathan’s sister, Heather, whom Nathan attacked last year before threatening to kill her. There was previously a no-contact order placed forbidding Nathan from contacting Heather, but that expired in November.)

“The sister, who was on Facetime with Nathan as the officers arrived, told the police that ‘she had photos and video of [May] striking [Nathan] in the back of his head,'” The Sun reported.

The DV Report claims that Nathan’s sister sent the photos and videos to the cops via email, and “the alleged strikes by May that were captured [on film and video] correlated with a lump on Nathan’s head.”

Nathan— who is the former soulmate of Jenelle Evans and the father of her son Kaiser— admitted to the cops that he was under the influence at the time of the alleged attack. (This is a direct violation of his own Veterans Court probation terms for his attack on his sister.)

As The Ashley previously reported, Nathan is currently being monitored by Clark County, Nevada’s PCU as part of his probation. Nathan is currently forbidden from using or possessing alcohol or drugs of any kind. He’s also required to submit to searches for drugs and alcohol on his person or property whenever asked. (It is unknown if disciplinary action will be taken against Nathan for being under the influence of alcohol.)

Anyway, the cops eventually arrested May and charged her with Domestic Battery for “intentionally unlawfully using force and or violence upon a person of another whom she shares a domestic partnership with,” the report stated.

It was noted in court documents that this is May’s first run-in with the law, and she was instructed to “stay out of trouble” until her next court date.

May’s next court date has been set for February 5.

According to court records obtained by The Ashley, a list of witnesses has already been submitted for the case. 

Like her hubby Nathan, May must follow terms of the county’s Pretrial Compliance Unit (PCU). She was determined to need “Level III” monitoring, which, in Clark County, Nevada, means she must report to the PCU after each court date to check in. (Nathan is currently on Level IV monitoring, which is the highest level you can have.)

May must also comply with two random and two scheduled check-ins each month. Finally, May must use the unit’s AIR check-in app or special mobile phone for monitoring.

May and Nathan got married in May 2022; however, the couple has been on-and-off for nearly the entirety of their marriage.

As of press time, it does not appear that either party has filed for divorce.

Warning to all fiber artists

This is an updated and abbreviated post to warn all fiber artists about a scam artist that is currently fleecing the community.  I will keep this post pinned and updated with new information as it becomes available.

There is a scam artist in the fiber arts community named Sherry Tenney.  She sells fleece and wool on facebook and etsy.  She frequently does not send the fleece or wool she has been paid for, and plays the customer until the time window for a dispute is passed.  Afterward, if you continue to contact her, she will leave unhinged, violent, and threatening messages to you, doxx your name and address on her facebook live streams and posts, and still refuse to either send product or refund you.

A lot of complaints have also come forward about the product she does send out.  It is frequently moth and larvae infested, contains large amounts of shit, completely matted fleeces, or are trimmings that are completely unusable.  If you have received product from her you must quarantine it and freeze and bake it to destroy the moths and larvae.

She frequently tries to force smaller fleece sellers from small farms to go out of business to purchase their fleeces for cheap.  She, with the help of several associates and sock puppet accounts, will contact people in the groups of small sellers and offer them fleeces for cheaper and claim they will be of better quality.  She, and her associates and sock puppets, will then report the small farms public media repeatedly until they are taken down, thus preventing the farmer/shepard from being able to sell.  Several small farms have confirmed losses of nearly 60% in sales due to her actions. Some have unfortunately gone out of business due to her actions as well.

Sherry has also focused her scam on small, independent suppliers as well. She will orders goods and services and then, once received, she will refuse to pay for them, or dispute charges with PayPal and her credit card.  She will claim the items were never received, were not what she ordered, or were damaged.  She will then sell them to gain a full, one hundred percent profit on the goods.  If she contacts you to purchase goods, or to do labor on her farm, she will not pay you. Shearers on the east coast will not work with her or shear her sheep any longer because of her actions, and she depended on a young charity shearer to save her sheep from heat stroke this year.

Sherry Tenney is also currently trying to sell lambs on facebook (against facebook rules).  Her animals do not have official papers (she does not control breeding, her ewes and rams are mixed together at all times), she does not know the breed of most of her sheep (lots of random breeds together with unknown breeding has resulted in unknown crossbreeds and a large quantity of inbreeding), and her sheep/lambs do not have the proper veterinary certificates that would be required for transport.

Sherry Tenney has once again filed for bankruptcy!  She filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy.  Here is the info:

If Sherry Tenney owes you money, please file immediately!

Sherry Tenney has made multiple claims that would indicate she is abusing and neglecting her animals.  Please do not contact authorities as that would give Sherry Tenney reason to sue someone for harassment.  That is the unfortunate state of laws in the US.  All of her chickens died of neglect last year, she would not bring them in at night and they were eaten by local wildlife, and she has claimed that a fairly large number of her flock has passed away last year and this year as well, over 10%.

Sherry has changed the name of her facebook group to ‘McCullough Farm primitives and country life’ and is claiming that her farm is the historic McCullough farm.  Her farm is not historic, the previous owner was named McCullough and it was owned by them since 2015, before that no McCullough’s owned it or were associated with it.  In fact, Sherry bought the farm in 2021, it is not a generational farm.  Her and her husband move states fairly frequently, they have no generational farm.  She has changed her group name, and has started randomly posting stolen food recipes with stolen photos, in an attempt to confuse people and attract new victims to her group.  Please warn others.  Yes, she frequently uses the word ‘primitive’ for many things.  She is that kind of person.

Sherry was selling in the FB group WAFA via pm, and was called out several times by customers who had received moth ridden fleece that was shorted weight.  After a month the head of WAFA finally stepped in and kicked Sherry and several of her associates from the group.  Unfortunately Brice Wonders of Spinaway Farms is still a member of the group, and he does work with Sherry.  So WAFA is still a group that has a warning about using, as they are incredibly slow to react and only when called out on social media are they willing to take action at this time.  WAFA has also contacted an attorney about the situation, though it is unknown what will be done.  

Sherry has been stealing photos from noteworthy people in the fiber arts community and linking back to them in an attempt to appear that they associate with her.  If you are well known in the fiber arts community please know that she will try to make it appear that you know her and approve of her business.  So please be warned, and please warn others who follow you if you know that Sherry is doing this with your name.

Sherry is currently bragging about luring black bears to her farm to threaten her sheep by urinating, very frequently, on all of the fences that surround her animals.  Human urine will attract black bears, as will animals left in the open all night that a bear would have easy access to.  She enjoys luring them to the farm, and then brags about threatening them and shooting at them with her guns.

It cannot be stressed enough: DO NOT APPROACH THIS WOMAN IN PUBLIC OR AT PUBLIC EVENTS!  She has threatened to shoot and kill people in several posts and rants, and brags about the amount of guns she has.  Within recent days she has bragged about owning a glock, an AK, multiple shotguns, and frequently has them on her person.  A shotgun has been spotted improperly and dangerous stored in the background of her photos.  She is to be considered armed and dangerous at all times.  Do not drive by her farm if you live in her area, do not sign up to attend a class if she holds one in person on her farm.  She is a mentally unhinged and violent woman.  She should not be approached in person at all costs.  No one wants to see anyone hurt because of this.  Especially now that her scam is failing and legal authorities have filed suit.

(Trigger Warning: Mentions of D*mestic V*olence and S*lf H*rm) 

I spent alot of today getting caught up on the Depp vs Heard trial and I have some thoughts, these are all thoughts that I had whilst watching the trial, so here is my opinion based on what I have heard from the trial so far for anyone who cares to hear it. 

One thing I have learned during the course of this trial is that Heard’s lawyer Mr Rottenborn can in fact read. I just wish he had actually read something that was relevant. Also that Heard’s team are so good at objections that they will even object to their own question and call out hearsay. I am probably being too harsh on them but at this point I have seen so many mistakes and shady things going on with them that it has definitely effected my opinion. But lets move on to some of the more serious stuff.  

Depp’s side said that Depp from his childhood would react to aggression and conflict by removing himself. The evidence backs this up, multiple audio recordings show that Depp would try to leave when arguments escalated and Heard would get angry about this and would chase after him. 

Heard’s team keep bringing up Depp’s drug and alcohol misuse. However Depp himself admits to this and we know from several witnesses that he has sought help for that addiction. In my opinion I think the fact that he did seek help says more about his character than this argument that he’s got an alcohol and drug problem. Being inebriated does not instantly mean you are ab*sive and it doesn’t seem that there is any relevance to them bringing up his addiction struggles other than to say that he has them. 

Another thing that keeps getting brought up are these texts Depp sent. Now I am not going to sit and say that Depp is an angel and has never done anything wrong ever in his life. Obviously these texts were vile and had both disgusting language and imagery, they obviously came from a place of anger. That being said he admitted that he regrets them and he is sorry that he said it. Something else I noticed though is that most, if not all, of those texts were not sent to Heard herself, they were sent to Depp’s friends. Why is this important well because it means that when he is angry and frustrated he redirects that anger away from Heard. It’s the same with the video from the kitchen, yes he is slamming doors and is clearly upset (who hasn’t slammed doors when in a bad mood?) but again that anger is directed at the kitchen cabinets not at Heard. Heard on the other hand when angry and frustrated focuses and directs it all at Depp to the point where she is following him from room to room as he tries to get away. 

Heard’s team kept bringing up Depp using the word ‘monster’ in reference to his drink and addiction issues. Depp made the claim that Heard created the term and she would use it whenever he drunk. Her lawyers argued that because Depp used it when messaging others when Heard wasn’t a part of the conversation that must mean that he himself created the term and saw himself as that. But in my opinion if someone is constantly calling you a particular name then you are going to adopt that ideology yourself and start using it yourself. Someone calls you a monster on a regular enough basis it’s going to become ingrained in you. 

The other issue that came up quite a bit was the circumstances around how Depp’s finger was severed. Heard’s lawyers made the argument that Depp didn’t tell others, like the medical team who treated him, that Heard had caused the injury, therefore he must be lying and that he caused the injury himself. Someone close to me was in a DV relationship (she is fine now and no longer in that relationship) and she would tell us all kinds of things to explain an injury, her child had headbutted her when playing, she had tripped and hit her eye on a table, she had accidently headbutted her knee when putting on her shoes. The story could change depending on who she told it too. So if anything the fact that Depp didn’t say Heard had caused the injury and that there were inconsistences in the telling of how it happened, one minute its a knife the next its an accordion door, in my opinion fits with the behaviour of someone who has sustained an injury through DV.  

There seems to be a stark difference between the audio recordings that Depp made and that Heard made. Depp’s recordings both parties can be mostly clearly heard, however when you listen to Heard’s recordings you can hear her very clearly, especially when she is making comments like ‘go put cigarettes out on someone else’ and things to that nature. But then it becomes very difficult to hear what Depp’s answer is. I definitely felt like Heard’s recordings had more of a staged feel to them. I also struggle to trust them because Heard is aware it is recording so will obviously monitor what she is saying.  

Which brings me to something that I just was so triggered by and that I found so disturbing and that’s the circumstances in which Heard makes these recordings, in alot of them, with the pictures too, Depp is in a vulnerable place and instead of helping him she is recording it as evidence. One in particular that I struggled with on a deeply personal level was the one where he is threatening s*lf h*rm. I just was so disgusted not only by the fact that Heard was recording him when he was in such a vulnerable position, I will never understand why she didn’t stop recording and get him help at that point. But also the fact that it was even played in court. It was so unnecessary, it added nothing to Heard’s case at all and I could be wrong as I haven’t seen all of the 25th April’s testimonies and this was the last piece of evidence for the day before, but I don’t think the lawyer even asked him any questions about it? It never should have been played. 

One thing that Heard’s team did a really good job of was convincing me that Johnny Depp is a human being. He has very human emotions and he has very human problems and he has made very human mistakes. 

I don’t know if Depp committed DV against Heard. But one thing I am sure of, with absolute certainty is that Heard most definitely did commit acts of violence against Depp. She admitted to it herself on an audio recording. I heard her say the words ‘I hit you’ that’s as conclusive as you can get. 

Having watched hours of this trail I feel like there is overwhelming evidence that supports Depp, I have seen alot of evidence that shows just how ab*sive Heard was towards Depp, I have yet to see any evidence that Depp was physically ab*sive towards Heard. Obviously they had a very toxic relationship. To be clear though I am aware that as of so far we have only heard from Depp’s witnesses and that we still have to hear from Heard’s and hear her side, so to speak. I don’t know how or if that will effect my opinion, but as of right now I am definitely more inclined, very much more inclined, to believe and support Johnny Depp in this trial. I think its brought up some really important issues where constructive discussion should be encouraged. We need to stop with this narrative that men cannot be victims, of course they can. We need to create that safe space where victims of any sex can speak out without being dismissed.

Tell me about Power Over Me

Thank you so much for asking about my WIP(s) no one else really did

Power Over Me is set up to be like almost an AU of the Fire Meet Gasoline video but with Frankie Morales and a hopefully nondescript reader. It’s like my interpretation of the video and it’s been on my mind for over a year. The reader and Frankie have basically been friends for most of their life, high school and beyond. They’re each other’s constants basically, good or bad. After reader married, Frankie is still there for them and it’s a friendship that ends up with being a saving grace in a HUGE way when things within their world start to fall apart. The man they marry, who I’ve named Brock, is one of those small town men with a big reputation, one that makes him “untouchable”. The law doesn’t touch him and no else does either, what’s his is his and he makes sure everyone knows it. It’s going to deal with some domestic violence {trigger warnings will apply}, a man who stops at nothing to fight side by side with and protect the person he loves, and some good ole revenge.

Disclaimer: Any mentions of DV will be non-descriptive and as vague as possible, a lot will of what’s mentioned will be the aftermath of said domestic situations. I am well aware that is a rough subject for people and I do not plan to glorify it in anyway. This is not a romanticization of DV where a man steps in and saves the person, no. This is planned to be a piece where Frankie helps the reader remember the strength their husband stole with his vile, demeanor behavior and does what he has to make sure they stay safe. {Sorry I just wanted to clarify before someone came for me}

for an organization that specializes in social work, my job really fucked up today

how are you gonna make people sit through a meeting about domestic violence with videos that are highly triggering, then talk about how “you don’t wanna make people relive the experience” when your employees could be reliving it right then and there? and give no warning or option to opt out in advance?

and then you send out an email after the fact that says: “We know that DV is a heavy topic and the presentation may have stirred up a lot of emotions for some individuals, so please take care of yourself.” the fuck?
