A summary of who Sherry Tenney is and why all in the fiber arts community should be warned against her can be found here.
Please notice on the linked post, I have updated to include the names of people who are helping her with her scam.  If you see any of those people active in fiber arts groups, please be aware and warn others about them.  They are scam artists as well, and have helped Sherry Tenney harm other small businesses.
The judge has released his findings, and all of Sherry’s arguments that the state of Pennsylvania can’t charge her because she operated her scam online and not in person have been overruled.  The case brought by the Pennsylvania Attorney General against Sherry Tenney will proceed.
Here is a link to a Google drive with all of the legal documents that have been filed by both Sherry Tenney and the court so far.  The file ruling that the case will continue is 2023.06.29 Order of the Court.
As a reminder, the AG is seeking to fine her $3000 USD for every victim over the age of 60, $1000 USD for every victim under the age of 60, and to ban her, or anyone working with her, from selling online permanently.
If you have been a victim of Sherry Tenney’s scam, the Pennsylvania Attorney General is still requesting complaints.  You can file a complaint here. Please encourage any victims that you know to file as well.  The more that come forward with evidence against her the better.  Especially if you have chat logs that include information linking her to Suzanne Smith Collier.
The list of people associated with the scam artist Sherry Tenney, and are actively helping her with her scam:
Suzanne Smith Collier
Cynthia Karitianos Tilker
Caroline Moss
Roberta Van Harn
Adrienne Lehman
Jeannine Talley-Cramer
Please be warned that, upon viewing some of their profiles online, they are as just as willingly capable of violence as Sherry Tenney has threatened in the past.  Do not confront them in person.  Warn others, and avoid them at all costs.

Okay it’s belated but gonna give my thoughts on the USA vs. Nigeria women’s basketball game because this shouldn’t be all about the USWNT up in here:
- SUZANNE. BRIGIT. BIRD. 🙌🤩🐐🔥💪 Ooo she proving all the doubters wrong out there and we love to see it 🙏🙏🙏 Age? She doesn’t know her. Points? She doesn’t need them to change a game. Watching her is like a clinic on why and how smart decision making and unselfish play will ALWAYS be better than hero-ball and pure physicality. She is the best point guard for this job. Hands down. Breaking her personal Olympic single-game assist record in her fifth Olympics is just 👌(Also watching her get so hype for Jewell’s buzzer beater was 🥺🥺😭)
- A’JA. WILSON. She missed the memo that this was her first olympic game apparently!!! 🤩🤩👏👏👏 She balled out, plain and simple. Racking up those points and rebounds while staying super clean with only 2 turnovers and 2 personal fouls. She knows how to use her size and physicality in the right way and is such a versatile player. It was so cool to watch her shine out there as a solid piece right out the gate.
- Lloyd’s shot is coming back!!! Bless! 🙏 It seems she is getting her confidence back and that buzzer beater was 👌 Classic Jewell and I will never get tired of seeing that
- Griner’s shot/touch is ON. Yes, all within the arc but still, she was super consistent. Her rebounding presence is also so necessary. Turnovers are a thing that need to be cleaned up a bit but she makes the shots to make up for it
- Stewie had a relatively quiet night. Her shot isn’t on, but solid defensive rebounding. It’s only a matter of time till she hits her stride
- As for the other bigs, Fowles had a solid performance for only 10ish minutes of play! Charles also had some good shots and sheesh, her strength never fails to blow me away. She can shoot through/over anything. Collier doesn’t really seem like an impact player at this point, but I mean she isn’t supposed to be with only two minutes.
- For just coming back, Dee made a pretty good impact! Her plus/minus of 28 is crazy and I think may be a bit skewed; I don’t think she necessarily played THAT well, but she was a significant contributor!! She needs to be careful with those careless turnovers (I’m looking at that weird fling into the corner to no one 👀)
- Petition for Atkins and Diggins-Smith to get more minutes!!! They are both such solid players with a great defensive presence and we need more of that. Also, Dawn needs to not run Sue and Dee into the ground.
- I’m still not confident with the Chelsea Gray choice for back up point guard. She was making some great, tough shots and I always love to see her make that magic, but she wasn’t a good facilitator/decision maker out there. Everything was sloppy. She had a decent amount of minutes with 14 and to have only 3 assists cancelled out by 3 turnovers is just... not it. At least two of those turnovers weren’t forced either, just bad passing. I really hope she can pair her great shots with solid facilitating in the games to come!
Alright! Eyes on the game versus Japan tomorrow 👏

NATCHITOCHES – The audience at the 40th annual Natchitoches-Northwestern State University Folk Festival held on July 26-27 was entertained and educated about the rich and diverse cultural offerings of the state. The Festival featured traditional Louisiana foods, Kidfest activities, music, traditional crafts, narrative sessions, musical informances, and cultural exhibits. This year’s Festival theme “Vive la Louisiane!” was a great success, with a very happy audience.
The Festival opened with a rousing dance, beginning with Cajun dance lessons, followed by Gal Holiday and the Honky Tonk Revue, and the night closed out with Bruce Daigrepont Cajun Band. Side stage performances included Natchitoches gospel group Joyful Sounds, 50 Man Machine, which includes NSU faculty Paul Forsyth, Collier Hyams, and Oliver Molina, and an open jam with Max & Marcy, Ed Huey, and Cane Mutiny.
Saturday’s events included performances in Prather Coliseum by 50 Man Machine, Creole la la with Goldman Thibodeaux and the Lawtell Playboys, the Louisiane Vintage Dancers, Brandy Roberts, the Rayo Brothers, Tab Benoit, Jamie Berzas & the Cajun Tradition Band, the Stewart Family and Friends Bluegrass Band, line dance lessons by the Cajun French Music Association Dance Troupe, the Canneci N’de Band of Lipan Apache, zydeco dance lessons by Avila Kahey, Wayne & Same Ol’ 2 Step, Hardrick Rivers and the Rivers Revue Band, Celtic Music with the Kitchen Session of Baton Rouge and a jam session with Max and Marcy.
In addition to stage performances there were narrative sessions and music informances, including conversations about American songwriting, culture & costumes of 19th century Louisiana, Tab Benoit’s The Voice of the Wetlands Fondoution, and the musical journey of Vanessa Niemann (aka Gal Holiday). Also featured was a music informance by Tab Benoit. Outdoor activities included demonstrations by the Central Louisiana Dutch Oven Cookers, the Red River Smiths, the Southern Stock Dog Association, and Wash Day, presented by the West Baton Rouge Museum. This year the Festival continued a series of free workshops for Festival attendees. Festival goers attended a Cajun accordion workshop by Jamie Berzas and Bruce Daigrepont.
The annual Louisiana State Fiddle Championship was also held on Saturday in the Magale Recital Hall as part of the Festival. Fiddle Championship judges included Steve Birdwell, Steve Harper, Henry Hemple, and Clancey Stewart. The new Louisiana Grand Champion is Ron Yule of DeRidder. Second place winner was Joe Suchanek of Merryville, with Owen Meche of Arnauldville placing third. Meche also took first place in the 21 and under championship division.
Suchanek took first in the 60 and up championship division, with Yule coming in second, Birgit Murphy of Opelousas in third, Mark Young of Balise in fourth, Wilfred Luttrell of DeRidder in fifth, and Ron Pace of Alexandria in sixth. THE CHANGED - Review
DISTRIBUTOR: Quiver Distribution
Tumblr media
SYNOPSIS: Kim, Mac, Kurt and Jane are sheltering in the basement where they have their neighbor Bill tied to a chair. Something has transformed their neighbors and Bill tried to assault Mac. As they debate what to do and try to understand if it's just their paranoia, the city around them is besieged by the changed. As they come to realize an alien intelligence has merged with their neighbor, their time is running out as a horde of the changed is amassing outside their suburban home.
REVIEW: From Kafka to McCarthyism, many films have addressed the idea of the other. Cinematically, a frequently remade tale is “The Body Snatchers,” the science fiction novel by Jack Finney, originally serialized in Collier's magazine in November and December of 1954. It was published as a novel in 1955 and the film adaptation hit screens in February 1956, directed by Don Siegel and released by Allied Artists Pictures. The original concept was alien spores that grew into pods that absorbed and replaced people.
In Michael Mongillo’s THE CHANGED, the alien invader is shrunken down to cellular level that is transferred via a kiss. The concept of using a kiss takes on a biblical tone as Christ was betrayed by Judas with a kiss. Given the current social climate, the idea of “the other” is a s relevant today as in the 1950’s. The plot is a demonstration of a conservation of budget as it has limited locations and characters. It is an independent film and it feels a bit like a stage production they were able to break out by using a location, a house. The narrative does not offer anything new nor does it take the opportunity to incorporate the contemporary social climate. The dialogue feels rethreaded, at times flat and has no pop.
The performances go a long way in elevating the material, but never far enough to allow the viewer to feel a connection to the characters. Likewise, there is no passion or peril being generated by the central cast members to generate any suspense or horror. Veteran actor Tony Todd is clearly cast for name recognition. Based on his many memorable characters and performance he is under utilized here as he does his best with delivering his performance  mostly tied to a chair as the other characters debate what he is and what to do with him.
The production values are utilitarian. There are effects and action sequences with quick cutaways in order to save on visual and special effects. The location is fine and looks lived in and the costumes are effective. Michael Mongillo’s direction is fine and he keeps the film moving along so it never becomes boring. Again, it is a bit flat as it feels more like a stage production than a motion picture.
THE CHANGED has really changed much. I feel that the concept still offers much to be mined if it is skillfully crafted to reflect the times we find ourselves in. It’s not a bad film, it just feels like a missed opportunity as it pays more of a homage to the previous films and does not elevate the material. Likewise, we’ve seen these characters before. Ultimately, it feels like an exercise that could have more easily been addressed with a short film than a feature, which likely could have been more engaging given the format.

Musique Concrète and Other Experimental And Electronic Music
Tumblr media
In the subject Creative Music Technology at university last semester, I was asked to listen to a collection of experimental and electronic music to stimulate my creative imagination, and to write what I liked and didn't like about it. Here's my rather cynical take on the genre.
Musique Concrète
Pierre Schaeffer and Pierre Henry – Symphonie pour un Homme Seul
youtube
This piece reminded me of Strauss’s Symphonia Domestica; only less musical. I’m a Homme Seul (single man) and my life doesn’t sound anything like this. In his book La musique concrète, Schaeffer described the work as “an opera for blind people…”. Haven’t they suffered enough?
Edgard Varèse – Poème Électronique
youtube
The audio equivalent of Luis Bunuel & Salvador Dali’s Un Chien Andalou.
Does to my ears what the asbestos coating on the walls of the Philips Pavilion at the 1958 Brussels World’s Fair for which it was commissioned, would do to my lungs.
György Ligeti – Artikulation
youtube
George Lucas must owe Ligeti millions in royalties for R2D2’s sound effects. Initially I thought I was joking when I first wrote that, but I’ve since discovered that he was actually trying to create a sort of phonetic speech in electronic music, which pretty much fits R2D2’s dialogue. Plus, the title is German for “articulation”. That should have been a giveaway.
I thought this piece might make more sense to me if I played it backwards, so I dropped it into Logic Pro X and reversed it. I couldn’t tell the difference. Perhaps I would have enjoyed it more if I listened to it in the original quadraphonic. I’ll just end noting that Ligeti abandoned electronic music after composing this piece.
Iannis Xenakis – Concret PH
youtube
2 minutes and 44 seconds of breaking glass to my ears. I think I’d rather listen to Kraftwerk.
Karlheinz Stockhausen – Kontakte
youtube
It’s long. It’s too long. I think this is how Jacob Collier learned to play piano in his mother’s womb; but look at him now. The title is German for “Contacts”, which I think Stockhausen interpreted as “Just hit the things.” Maybe it sounds better in the original quadraphonic.
Stockhausen was evidently a pioneer of the extended dance remix, as the work exists in several versions: “Nr. 12”, “Nr. 12½” and “Nr. 12⅔”
Bernard Parmegiani - Accidents / harmoniques
youtube
Parmegiani had studied mime before turning his hand to electro-acoustic composition, and in this piece it really shows. From the album De Natura Sonorum (the nature of sound). I felt like there were Martians in my head listening to this. Surely he’s just playing a joke on us.
Pauline Oliveiros – Bye Bye Butterfly
youtube
Bids farewell to the institutionalized oppression of the female sex while also providing inspiration for the sound of the Theramin. Gave my new monitor speakers a good workout; I hope the neighbours enjoyed it too.
Tape Loops
Steve Reich – It’s Gonna Rain
youtube
I’ve got this pervasive feeling that it’s going to rain. I’m not sure why. I liked the way the meteorological message panned left and right. More like It’s Gonna Have An Acid Trip.
youtube
Halleluiah Part II is over. I’m not sure how I lasted the full 18 minutes.
Terry Riley – Mescalin Mix
youtube
Parts of this sounded to me like an industrial version of native Australian bush sounds. I felt like I was on a camping trip in the 23rd century.
Brian Eno – 1/1
youtube
From his album Music For Airports/Ambient 1, which apparently coined the term Ambient Music. Brian Eno has a lot to answer for. However, this track put me in a relaxing state, ready to fall asleep on the plane; so I liked it.
Sampling
Luc Ferrari – Ronda, Spain, June 2001
youtube
After being jolted awake by the sound of a loud sliding door opening to greet the day, I was drawn into this by the sweet sound of a French woman’s voice. I imagined she was Ferrari’s lover, speaking to him in bed after awakening on a warm Spanish summer Sunday morning. I wanted to know what she was saying, but my French isn’t good enough. In my mind’s eye, they head to a busy market together to buy some croissants for breakfast, where we hear a man’s voice repeating “numero quatro”, which I assumed is Spanish for “number 4”. As the voices fade, the sound becomes more musical and we return to the soft sound of Ronda speaking to her beloved back in their villa together. I quite liked it.
My interpretation, however, is not what the composer had in mind. According to him, the point of Les Anecdotiques (The Anecdotals) is to dispense with the story altogether. My busy market was, in fact, the sound of Spanish tourists in a museum. While he describes the woman’s words as “Spontaneous and intimate”, in this context they are simply words in a foreign language with no narrative purpose. Just another one of Pierre Schaeffer and Michel Chion’s sound objects, if you will. My narrative interpretation of what was intended as an explicitly anecdotal work is testament to the human brain’s tendency to make meaning out of nothing. It turns out Rhonda is a village in Spain, not a woman.
Still, I enjoyed my little fantasy, thank you Luc.
John Oswald – Manifold
youtube
Wow, this was short. I didn’t even have time to eat breakfast while listening to it. It was only about as long as the Spotify ads, but certainly more fun. I recognised a couple of songs, like U2’s With or Without You and Sinead O’Connor’s Nothing Compares To You. Artists who use samples liberally often sample obscure works, sometimes affording them attention they would otherwise have missed; but in this work Oswald went mainstream. It sounded to me like the soundtrack to a sample-abusing hip-hop artist from the 1990’s being beaten up in a boxing ring by all the artists who reckoned he’d ripped off their work.
Tod Dockstader - Water Music: Part III
youtube
I quite liked this piece. The cuteness of the sounds and the stereo effects bouncing between the left and right channels really drew me in. I’ve recently got myself some decent monitor speakers for my home studio and this piece really worked on them. Pretty amazing for something released in 1963.
Dockstader started out in the 1940’s, prior to the invention of magnetic tape, editing his steel wire recordings with a lit cigarette. That makes me realise how much I take the piece-of-crap Logic Pro X File Editor for granted. Listening to this, I found myself wanting to know what was going to happen next, like I was watching a soap opera on TV; only with no actual story.
Synthesis
Karlheinz Stockhausen – Studie I
youtube
I found this quite disorienting to listen to. I guess it was revolutionary in 1953 but I reckon now you could whip it up in Ableton in about 5 minutes using the Random MIDI Effect and some automation.
Eliane Radigue – Jetsun Mila (Pt.1) / Birth and Youth (Excerpt)
youtube
I liked how the pulsing ambient drone sound in this grew over time; it drew me in and had me wondering what was going to happen next. Unfortunately the answer was: not much. Gradually a rhythmic element with some high pulsing tones which grew over time came in. It was a bit like listening to a very slow EDM dance track from underwater in a diesel-powered submarine going at full throttle for 12 minutes.
Laurie Spiegel – Appalachian Grove: I
youtube
I liked the pulsing stereo effects in this piece and the way the tonal characteristics of the sound varied while the pitch changed. It’s much more melodic than the other tracks we’ve listened to and that made it more enjoyable to my ears. It got a bit harsh in the middle though. This piece puts the musique in musique concrète.
Morton Subotnick – Silver Apples of the Moon – Part A
youtube
Perhaps the sound designer for Star Wars had this in mind when creating the sound effects for R2D2. I kind of lost the flow of the conversation without the witty English-accented retorts from C3PO though. Morton Sobotnick is described as The Mad Scientist in one interview, and I think if I listen to this too often I’ll end up fitting one of the DSM-5 diagnostic categories I’m learning about over in PSYC1002.
Suzanne Ciani – Concert at Phil Niblock’s Loft
youtube
This piece had some funky sounds that I liked. The start reminded me a bit of Kraftwerk but without the rhythm and melody; although it did get more melodic later. I’d probably give it a Distinction for its use of technology given it was made in 1975, but only a Credit for musicality.
Barry Schraeder – Lost Atlantis: Introduction
youtube
At first, I thought this sounded a lot like a modern ad for KFC; then I realised I was hearing a Spotify ad.
I liked the ambient sounds in this piece and the way it surged in and out with its “mysterious tone colors”. It slowly builds to a crescendo until we get the drop that EDM lovers crave, and then built more quickly to the ultimate drop at the end. I kept wondering what was going to happen next; I’d still rather listen to Fleetwood Mac, Supertramp or Queen though.
Contemporary Examples
Amon Tobin – Foley Room
DJ & producer. Retain percussive quality through sounds. Horsefish & Esther’s. Create beauty and delicate textures from sounds. Pitched percussive material. Fast loops. New textures. Funky beats. Check out the Foley Room Documentary.
Aphex Twin - 1ST 44
youtube
Acid house DJ in rave scene. Intelligent Dance Music. More complex sampling, polyrhythms, rhythmic patterns. From Collapsed album. Polyrhythms sounded funky. Lots of variation.
Holly Herndon – Chorus
Intersection of humanity and technology. Recorded web browsing. Stereo ping-pong effects. Here’s a talk she gave about her creative process.
Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith – Riparian
youtube
This was my favourite out of these three, largely because it sounds the most musical to my ears. I liked the pulsing beat in this track. I can hear a bass line for instance, melodies played on the synth and lyrics, although I can’t tell what they are saying. I also like the way the soundscape swirls around when listened to with headphones. It feels ambient, immersive and musical all at the same time. I get the sense that she’s using the electronics at her disposal in service of the music rather than the other way around. There’s even a great video about how she uses modular synthesis.
Graham Stoney - Foster le Concrète
"How hard can it be?", I asked myself. And since I had an assignment to do, I wrote my own musique concrète track based on the drum rhythm from one of my favourite songs, Coming of Age by Foster The People. I even made a breakdown video showing how I did it; because that's what the assignment required.
youtube
Conclusion
I didn’t take too easily to some of the more experimental musique concrète pieces we studied at the beginning of this semester. The weekly listening tasks felt harsh to my untrained ears and I would think mean things like:
“Didn’t the Geneva Convention ban cruel and unusual punishment?”
Perhaps these tracks will never be my preferred go-to pieces for chilling out on a Friday night, but when I look back at some of my cynicism-laced early comments in these discussion threads, I cringe. I just didn’t appreciate the historical significance of these pieces and how they might have influenced later electronic music that I do enjoy, like Kraftwerk say.
Then in Angharad Davis’s Music Colloquium Series talk on George Antheil’s Ballet Mécanique, when she played a snippet of the work I heard sounds reminiscent of musique concrète. Sure enough, they were roughly contemporaneous, and Antheil had been living in Paris at the time musique concrète was just getting started. You never know when something you study in one arena will pop up elsewhere.
Another thing I’ve learned in this subject is about taking creative risks and learning to follow my gut instincts without worrying whether a concept will work, or other people will like it. This has been an opportunity for me to explore that. My Formative Skills Assignment piece Foster le Concrète was in part a reaction to my frustration at the lack of discernible rhythm in some of the early pieces we studied. However, I really didn’t know whether the concept was going to work, and that was a little anxiety-inducing; especially given that I was doing it for an assignment which would be graded. I was quite touched to hear other students say they liked the end result, and I feel more confident about following my gut instincts in future and seeing what I end up.
Finally, I’ve been really inspired by the creativity of the other students in this subject. It’s been a weird experience studying online this year without ever meeting them in person, but I’ve really enjoyed hearing the creative works everyone came up with. They’re all so distinctive and amazingly different, it’s incredible; yet they were all products of the same brief. I can’t wait to hear everyone's works on the radio, TV, movies, video games, Spotify, or whatever audio technology is around when we all graduate: live streaming direct to our neurons perhaps?

Warning to all fiber artists
This is an updated and abbreviated post to warn all fiber artists about a scam artist that is currently fleecing the community.  I will keep this post pinned and updated with new information as it becomes available.
There is a scam artist in the fiber arts community named Sherry Tenney.  She sells fleece and wool on facebook and etsy.  She frequently does not send the fleece or wool she has been paid for, and plays the customer until the time window for a dispute is passed.  Afterward, if you continue to contact her, she will leave unhinged, violent, and threatening messages to you, doxx your name and address on her facebook live streams and posts, and still refuse to either send product or refund you.
A lot of complaints have also come forward about the product she does send out.  It is frequently moth and larvae infested, contains large amounts of shit, completely matted fleeces, or are trimmings that are completely unusable.  If you have received product from her you must quarantine it and freeze and bake it to destroy the moths and larvae.
She frequently tries to force smaller fleece sellers from small farms to go out of business to purchase their fleeces for cheap.  She, with the help of several associates and sock puppet accounts, will contact people in the groups of small sellers and offer them fleeces for cheaper and claim they will be of better quality.  She, and her associates and sock puppets, will then report the small farms public media repeatedly until they are taken down, thus preventing the farmer/shepard from being able to sell.  Several small farms have confirmed losses of nearly 60% in sales due to her actions. Some have unfortunately gone out of business due to her actions as well.
Sherry has also focused her scam on small, independent suppliers as well. She will orders goods and services and then, once received, she will refuse to pay for them, or dispute charges with PayPal and her credit card.  She will claim the items were never received, were not what she ordered, or were damaged.  She will then sell them to gain a full, one hundred percent profit on the goods.  If she contacts you to purchase goods, or to do labor on her farm, she will not pay you. Shearers on the east coast will not work with her or shear her sheep any longer because of her actions, and she depended on a young charity shearer to save her sheep from heat stroke this year.
Sherry Tenney is also currently trying to sell lambs on facebook (against facebook rules).  Her animals do not have official papers (she does not control breeding, her ewes and rams are mixed together at all times), she does not know the breed of most of her sheep (lots of random breeds together with unknown breeding has resulted in unknown crossbreeds and a large quantity of inbreeding), and her sheep/lambs do not have the proper veterinary certificates that would be required for transport.
Sherry Tenney’s confirmed know aliases and the names she goes by (she changes her name frequently on social media):
Sherry Tenney
Vondorp Sherry
Sherry Vondorp
Lee Giltay
Sara Rudacille

If you have a Ravelry account, this has all been compiled for viewing here.  I do warn you, the videos are unnerving and I could barely stomach just reading the transcripts.
Here is a link to a google form filled out by those who Sherry has stolen from, and how much she has stolen. It is currently at over $15,000+ USD.
Here is a link to a YouTube channel of Sherry’s livestreams.  I feel I should warn everyone that they can become violent and aggressive in nature, and several have been known to trigger survivors of domestic violence.
The Pennsylvania Attorney General has filed suit against her, and you can read the paperwork filed here.  If you have filed a complaint with the Pennsylvania Attorney General they will keep you up to date.  If Sherry has stolen from you, please contact the Attorney General, even though they have already filed against Sherry, every victim coming forward helps.  The next court date is February 1st, 2024.
Here is a link to a video on YouTube that goes into detail about the charges filed by the Pennsylvania Attorney General against Sherry Tenney.  The judge has ruled that Sherry’s case is going forward, and has overruled Sherry’s lawyer’s attempt to get the charges thrown out.  Cases take time, but Sherry Tenney is being charged!
Sherry Tenney has once again filed for bankruptcy!  She filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy.  Here is the info:
[The Bureau of Consumer Protection is writing to update you concerning the consumer complaint you filed against Tenney’s Fiber Farm, LLC (the “Company”) and the above-referenced litigation.
As you may know, Sherry Tenney has filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy in the United States Bankruptcy Court in the Middle District of Pennsylvania under Case Number 1:23-bk-02752-HWV.
If you have not done so already, you may wish to file a proof of claim form in the bankruptcy. A proof of claim form may be filed either electronically or as a paper document. The Bankruptcy Court has set a deadline of February 12, 2024 for creditors to file proofs of claim. To assist you in that matter, we have enclosed a blank proof of claim form for you to complete and submit to the bankruptcy court.
Please send the completed proof of claim form to:
Sylvia H. Rambo US Courthouse U.S. Bankruptcy Court 1501 N. 6th St. Harrisburg, PA 17102
Please be advised, our office cannot offer you legal advice. You should consult with a private attorney to ensure that your rights are preserved in the bankruptcy proceedings.
Very truly yours,
Mia Paone Consumer Protection Agent]
If Sherry Tenney owes you money, please file immediately!
Sherry Tenney has made multiple claims that would indicate she is abusing and neglecting her animals.  Please do not contact authorities as that would give Sherry Tenney reason to sue someone for harassment.  That is the unfortunate state of laws in the US.  All of her chickens died of neglect last year, she would not bring them in at night and they were eaten by local wildlife, and she has claimed that a fairly large number of her flock has passed away last year and this year as well, over 10%.
Sherry has changed the name of her facebook group to ‘McCullough Farm primitives and country life’ and is claiming that her farm is the historic McCullough farm.  Her farm is not historic, the previous owner was named McCullough and it was owned by them since 2015, before that no McCullough’s owned it or were associated with it.  In fact, Sherry bought the farm in 2021, it is not a generational farm.  Her and her husband move states fairly frequently, they have no generational farm.  She has changed her group name, and has started randomly posting stolen food recipes with stolen photos, in an attempt to confuse people and attract new victims to her group.  Please warn others.  Yes, she frequently uses the word ‘primitive’ for many things.  She is that kind of person.
Sherry was selling in the FB group WAFA via pm, and was called out several times by customers who had received moth ridden fleece that was shorted weight.  After a month the head of WAFA finally stepped in and kicked Sherry and several of her associates from the group.  Unfortunately Brice Wonders of Spinaway Farms is still a member of the group, and he does work with Sherry.  So WAFA is still a group that has a warning about using, as they are incredibly slow to react and only when called out on social media are they willing to take action at this time.  WAFA has also contacted an attorney about the situation, though it is unknown what will be done.
Sherry has been stealing photos from noteworthy people in the fiber arts community and linking back to them in an attempt to appear that they associate with her.  If you are well known in the fiber arts community please know that she will try to make it appear that you know her and approve of her business.  So please be warned, and please warn others who follow you if you know that Sherry is doing this with your name.
Sherry is currently bragging about luring black bears to her farm to threaten her sheep by urinating, very frequently, on all of the fences that surround her animals.  Human urine will attract black bears, as will animals left in the open all night that a bear would have easy access to.  She enjoys luring them to the farm, and then brags about threatening them and shooting at them with her guns.
It cannot be stressed enough: DO NOT APPROACH THIS WOMAN IN PUBLIC OR AT PUBLIC EVENTS!  She has threatened to shoot and kill people in several posts and rants, and brags about the amount of guns she has.  Within recent days she has bragged about owning a glock, an AK, multiple shotguns, and frequently has them on her person.  A shotgun has been spotted improperly and dangerous stored in the background of her photos.  She is to be considered armed and dangerous at all times.  Do not drive by her farm if you live in her area, do not sign up to attend a class if she holds one in person on her farm.  She is a mentally unhinged and violent woman.  She should not be approached in person at all costs.  No one wants to see anyone hurt because of this.  Especially now that her scam is failing and legal authorities have filed suit.

Warning to fiber sellers
This is a summary post that is out of date.  I have a pinned post that is up to date with the facts here.  More has happened since this post was written.
This is a warning to ALL fiber sellers online, especially those who sell via sites like Facebook.
In recent months there has been some drama that a seller named Sherry Tenney/Sherry Vondorp has been taking money and not sending product or sending the wrong product.  She’s been doing this for years, and to the scope of $15,000+ USD.  People who had been scammed by her connected and started comparing stories, and then discovering just how long it’s been going on and that she’s still doing it.
Sherry Tenney’s confirmed know aliases and the names she goes by (she changes her name frequently on social media):
Sherry Tenney
Vondorp Sherry
Sherry Vondorp
Lee Giltay
Sara Rudacille
Sherry Lee Price
Sherry Tenney Giltay
At first, that’s all it was.  She would send out some fleece/fiber, but maybe not all, and then, in the past few years, frequently none at all.  She would claim all sorts of reasons, like the post office lost hundreds of packages in a year, and other vague hand wavy excuses.  The main issue is that she was violently aggressive toward people who inquired about where their product was.  As in death threats aggressive.  Long, ranting threats about shooting them in fields and feeding them to her pigs threats.  There are videos.  They are disturbing.
Well, a group called ‘Demon Trolls’ on Ravelry was discussing this and encouraging her to refund or send out the purchased product.  The group ‘Demon Trolls’ keeps track of problematic sellers in the fiber community so that people can be warned.  Sellers that take money and don’t send product, sellers that are falling months behind in shipping, and sellers that are not sending the product that was purchased.  The group keeps tabs, they don’t actively pursue action of any sort, but they let customers share complaints and stories and keep track of the unfolding situations.
Well, Sherry Tenney/Sherry Vondorp has been... unique.  Instead of offering fake apologies (something that is frequently done), or cleaning up her act and running her business professionally (something that genuinely does happen at times as well, sometimes sellers just underestimate how hard it is to run a business at times), she doubled down on the aggression.  There are hour long videos threatening to shoot and kill people from the group, and former customers simply for complaining about not receiving purchased goods.  There has been bizarre stories about ‘microburst tornadoes’ killing her sheep and her leaving them in the field to rot for days on end, her having bears coming to kill her sheep because she leaves them out all night long, her having birthing season go on for months because she just keeps rams in the herd and doesn’t keep track of breeding.
I could go on.  The woman is... unhinged is the only polite way to put it.
It also came out within the past few days that it’s more than just her scamming people.  It turns out what her and a group of about 25 others would do is go to sellers pages on FB, black the mods and admins, and then tell the others that she sold fleece for cheaper and better quality than them.  She would poach the customers from small farms, and her and others would purposefully repeatedly report the small farm and their page to get it taken down so they couldn’t sell at all.
Then, when the farm was desperate, some of these small sellers have reported more than a 50% drop in income when she has done this, she would buy the fleeces at cheaper prices from them, mark them up, and then ‘resell’ them, frequently to the customers she lured away.  Given that she would frequently sell the same fleece to multiple people and never ship it, it was a way for her to get a ton of sales with little to no overhead herself.
She, working in tandem with another woman, would keep passing emails back and forth with customers until the window to file a chargeback would close, and then she would send disgusting messages to the customer and block them.
If you have a Ravelry account, this has all been compiled for viewing here.  I do warn you, the videos are unnerving and I could barely stomach just reading the transcripts.
The discussion about what is going on with Sherry Tenney/Sherry Vondorp is here.  I am warning you, it is currently at 300 pages of discussion.  A lot has happened in just the past few months.  It is insane.
Please reblog this so other fiber sellers know to watch out for her, and to be warned about what she is doing.  She is purposefully destroying businesses for her own profit.
Edit:
I am editing the original post and adding this update.  Sherry Tenney/Sherry Vondorp tries to avoid notice by frequently changing her name on Facebook (where she tries to do business via messenger only so as to avoid having a paper trail), as well as the names of her businesses.  She is trying to rely on people not knowing the names of her accounts, and there are many, and then being scammed.
Sherry Tenney frequently goes by the name Sherry Vondorp (her grandmother’s maiden name).  She will also use other aliases connected to either other family member’s names or the names of former husbands that she legally held at one point.
On Facebook her groups are:
Farmlife in the country
RAW WOOL 4 ALL selling buying group USA
Tenneys Fibers and raw wool buyers group
Fiber sellers
The Cashmere Turtle luxury fiber affordable prices
The Dye house and Mrs Tuttle country fiber arts (community)
On Instagram her account is:
Marylandlongwool
Although, as I said before, she frequently changes the names of her shops on Facebook.  It is not unusual for her to change her name or her shop names multiple times a month in an attempt to avoid them and herself being noticed.  So please, be very careful when buying fleece over social media and in social media communities.  Tenney has also sold fleece in Dirty Fleece, Done Dirt Cheap in the past as well.  People have reported that the fleeces they have received from her at times have been absolutely riddled with moth larvae and moths in the past, so if you have ever received anything from her please check to make sure it was quarantined from the rest of your stash.
If you are a seller and have been contacted by her, please be sure to get full payment upfront.  Multiple sellers are reporting that they have done business with her and she has either refused to pay or reversed the charges once the product has been received.  She is a thief, this cannot be stressed enough at this time.
Edit:
Sherry Tenney/Sherry Vondorp works very closely with a woman named Suzanne Smith Collier who actively helps her with her scam, and helps her do damage to other small fiber sellers online.  We do not know if Suzanne shares in the profits from this scam, but she is a documented participant in it.  She will actively help run out the refund clock for customers who email about orders they have not received, and will block people the instant the refund clock is over.
Suzanne Smith Collier Etsy is ‘FinerThanFroggyHair’, formerly ‘Spinning Yarns & Weaving Tall Tails’.  Her FB group is ‘Finer Than Frog’s Hair’.
Pleased be warned about her as well.
Also, as a reminder, please do not harass anyone online, and especially not in real life.  Sherry Tenney/Sherry Vondorp has once again posted another message about having guns and threatening to shoot people.  The woman should be considered extremely unstable and very dangerous.  She sometimes teaches classes on her farm, and I would not sign up for those even as a joke.  No one wants to see anyone physically hurt in real life.

Warning to fiber buyers
Update post on Sherry Tenney.  She’s still selling infested fiber and fleeces and has scammed people out of tens of thousands of dollars, and the Pennsylvania Attorney General is still investigating her.  The wheels of justice are slow, unfortunately.
This post is a warning about shops that use her as a source, knowing that her fleece and fiber is infested, and those that support and help her in her illegal activities.  Any person and or shop listed here is to be considered as having possibly infested product, and should be avoided.  They all also knowingly support Sherry’s illegal activities, or actively help her in her illegal activities, and should be avoided.
ExpressionsInFiber, Etsy shop run by Elizabeth Washburn
Finer than Frog’s Hair, FB group run by Suzanne Smith Collier
FinerThanFroggyHair, Etsy shop run by Suzanne Smith Collier
Spinaway Farm, Brice Wonders
Sheeps and Me, run by Tuesday Rose.  A fair circuit seller, not online
All of these shops and sellers are confirmed to either use Sherry Tenney’s moth infested fleece and fiber to resell to others, or actively support Sherry Tenney in her illegal activities.  Please avoid them, for the safety of your money and your stash.
Sherry Tenney also stores all of her fleece and fiber out in the open on her porch, outside, and under a tarp in her barn, so moths are not the only insect infestation she currently has.  There is a high risk of lanternflies, an invasive species that will do high amounts of environmental harm to an area.
