Thanks for HGTA mods for hosting such an amazing event!! If it wasn't obvious, I was 🧨 anon. See? The centric characters (Grian and Tango) I wrote matched the color of the emoji. The funny part was that I just randomly clicked an emoji in the emoji tab of my keyboard and just realized in the guessing period that the peeps I wrote matched my icon XD

Unfortunately I wasn't able to write more than 3 fics since the brainstorming period in the middle of writing each of them each took way too much time but it was worth it. And who was the one who replied to this? 😂

🐈‍⬛ Sebastian's first impression of you was... not great. When he opened the front door to let you inside, you were in the midst of shouting at your butler about following rules and then you turned to him and said "It's about time!" So you were another cheeky brat like his master, it seems. The demon didn't mind you all that much though, he was used to dealing with children already.

🐈‍⬛ He was a bit shocked that you were Ciel's distant cousin, but then again your soul was just slightly similar to that of his master. While you and his young master conversed about your childhoods, Sebastian listened in from where he stood off to the side. All he could really offer your situation sympathy-wise was a short muttered "Oh."

🐈‍⬛ Upon your arrival you had brought a few members of your staff with you, which Sebastian thought of as strange since you came here to see his young master only. But he figured that you must have wanted to introduce them to your cousin. Or... to give them an example of how to do their jobs properly, from what the demon butler saw, they were just as incompetent as the Phantomhive Manor's own staff. Ugh. Such misfortune.

🐈‍⬛ Sebastian did however meet your own butler who went by the name of Trey Clover. He was quite impressed with his performance considering he was a human. Though later in the visit you had sent Trey to assist him with dessert, something about "Trey, go make me a tart.". And dear me did Sebastian find out your butler can make a good ass tart.

🎩 Ciel was quite shocked to find that he had any family left after Madam Red's unfortunate passing. You looked a bit similar to his aunt as well, but you quickly clarified that you were his distant cousin twice removed. The young earl was definitely taken aback at your intense dedication to the rules your mother raised you with. Ciel was even more shocked that you hold your staff to the same rules and behead those who disobey.

🎩 Truth be told he finds you quite childish and audacious, such rules are utterly ridiculous, and he tells you so. Fortunately, you can't bring yourself to behead Ciel and the two of you delve into a long talk about your differing childhoods. He learned of your mother and what she put you through, but he can't help but be envious that you still have your parent, even if they aren't the best. Ciel doesn't tell you that though.

🧹 Poor Mey'rin is terrified of you! She was moving a stack of expensive china plates from the storage room to the kitchen and as she walked through the tea room, past you and the young master, she tripped! The plates sailed to the ground and broke on impact. As Mey'rin turned to apologize, she was met with a very angry you, shouting about how she should be beheaded for her mistake.

🧹 Thankfully one of your staff, Ace, made up some excuse that calmed you down and helped her up. Mey'rin instantly fell in love, he was such a 'kind gentleman'. How he looked in her eyes with that boyish smirk and said, "Let's get outta here.", she couldn't hold herself together and sprinted out of the room in embarrassment.

🧯 Bardroy is peak annoyed with you, he already has the young master, he doesn't need another spoiled child to deal with. He was 'cooking' in the kitchen, right, trying to make something for the esteemed guest. So he did the usual, light a stick of dynamite and toss it in the oven, right? Then the oven exploded and Bardroy could hear your shouting all the way from the game room.

🧯 You ended up sending in one of your staff to check out what happened in the kitchen and that's how he met Deuce. Bardroy thought he was a pretty nice kid even if he too had no idea how to cook without being destructive either. He also found the interest in pots to be weird. "Let's just use a pot!" "Eh!? Steak in a pot?"

🪴 You scare Finny sometimes, yes, but he knows that deep down you're probably really nice. While both you and the young master were sitting in the garden having tea, he accidentally let a hedgehog loose. However, his suspicions were proved right when he noticed that you had picked up the hedgehog and sat it on your lap, petting it as if it were a cat.

🪴 A member of your staff named Cater had literally bumped into him while he was walking past the newly installed rose hedges. He and Finnian got along swimmingly as they spoke about their shared interests with one another. He also found that Cater really enjoyed taking photographs in his free time.

i ' ve been rotating the idea of an objectified forsaken crossover in my mind for a while , so why not post it here ?

[ major spoilers for objectified ofc . ]

▪︎ the spectre has no clue how they got there . they ' re effective , though , so they stay .

▪︎ wagyu and citrus are the only survivors who were forsakened as killers [citrus because he has one of the highest kill counts aside from like dynamite / mushroom and wagyu because . well . the parasites . ]

▪︎ ^ if he ' s alone , wagyu ' s body will revert back to his " normal " form [ no visible signs of assimilation ] . elliot thought he was a survivor and tried giving him pizza . he was saved for last that round .

▪︎ whenever he ' s killer , wagyu physically restrains himself from going anywhere near dragonscale in fear of accidentally assimilating her , not knowing assimilation is impossible in the rounds .

▪︎ ^ meanwhile , citrus won ' t exactly go out of his way to spare spool , but might save him for last , due to their bond .

▪︎ dynamite and mushroom find themselves wandering into the forest outside of rounds , due to force of habit . it worries the others .

▪︎ the survivors physically restrain anyone else from trying to stun wagyu , mushroom is the only one allowed to do so because of her assimilation immunity . chance is an exception , due to his gun .

▪︎ dragonscale does not recognize wagyu , due to his bug - like features .

▪︎ shedletsky has tried riding razor once . it did not go well .

▪︎ citrus mainly targets 007n7 and two time , due to being " easy targets " in his eyes .

▪︎ due to her tonic immobility , sharps is usually easy to kill . gum stays close to her due to that fact .

▪︎ fuzzball always has to stay near razor , due to her delirium . razor can and will kill other survivors in her outbursts . c00lkidd is afraid of her .

▪︎ painkiller and fossil have began researching about the spectre . their findings were ... startling to it , so they were found in the lake .

▪︎ sugarcube and c00lkidd get along startlingly well . minty and 007n7 bond over this fact , but brandy carries a grudge against him [ " his kid tries to kill us . " ] .

▪︎ two time has tried to convert sugarcane to the spawn cult . she was afraid of them , so she called her dads . two time had a black eye .

▪︎ spool still has his knife and crowbar . he refuses to stun citrus , though .

▪︎ wagyu hates two time , they remind him of sunny . two time is always the first one dead in his rounds .

I JUST GOT ONTO OBJECTIFIED hi this reminded me to go catch up. I was also kicking my feet and giggling while reading these they all fit so well /silly Objectified and Forsaken crossover fits so well the more I think about it omg.

Wagyu as a Forsaken killer sounds horrifying. Citrus would make use of the damage effects in Forsaken though I can't give examples, can't remember right now. Something like hallucinatory effects. Actually both of them would do that. Actually actually half the cast would have some hallucinations due to the whole starsheet thing

I feel like most of the Objectified cast would be Sentinels, or at least Survivalists with defensive capabilities. At least tougher than ones like 007n7 and Noob. Also Minty and Brandy sharing some form of molotov ability but it works best when they're together forcing them to work together again. Some of characters like Sugarcube or Fuzzball could be Supports but half of them are Sentinels to me

Seeing that this AU puts the Objectified survivors with the Forsaken characters- There's another swords(wo)man on the team with Gum now!! Shedletsky would probably want to duel with her for fun, though Gum wouldn't like him as much. Especially with Sharps. Gum staying with Sharps is so cute,,, Oh and I think John Doe's corrupted form might remind the survivors of the parasites back in Objectified.

Y'know how Shedletsky never really told the Player to go yoink the Icedagger? Welp, I say he never actually wanted them to go hunt it down. If they had just gone back to him after beating the absolutely SHIT out of Red n Blue, he probably would just told them to go warn the Sword Holders to be a bit more cautious. After the Player came back with the Icedagger, he got the grand idea to just have them get the rest.

🍯🐝 anon's "1x and Mayor Thaniyel are husbands and their kids are G666, Pest, and Griefer/Brad" headcanon (I saw a post a hot minute ago on this and instantly yoinked it, I've just been waiting for someone else to mention I because I didn't create it)

Griefer is adopted, he showed up on the doorstep of wherever sixteen year old Thaniyel lived

Mayor Monty was the one who technically named Griefer as Mayor Thaniyel almost instantly called him because he don't know how to raise a kid (I headcanon to two grew up kinda together)

Did someone say trauma? Yea, I think someone did cause the Player's parents are six feet under, and they're just barely seventeen (we love trauma)

There's a curse/blessing (depends on how you see it) on the Thaniyel last name. Basically whenever anyone with said last name dies, they either: turn into a plant or toxic/poison enemies we see in demo 2 (example: the Toxic Spearman)

That being said, Mayor Thaniyel genuinely thought his kid died the moment Griefer had stabbed himself with the Venomshank and turned in the Bubonic Plant

After defeating the Isolations within the Player's mind, the four of them were forced to be apart of them in a physical way more than mentally

BODY HORROR WARNING (kinda)

Greed essentially forced their limbs (arms, legs, fingers, and neck) to stretch to be a fourth bigger than the original size of each thing Solitude made their eyes noticeable more sunken in as well as forcing their pupils to be either extremely small or ungodly dialated, there is no in-between, and shifting the color to be more of a blue, not a natural one though, an endless void kinda blue. The Player's hair also grows at a much faster rate than before. Fear made their bone structure both thicker and much MUCH more visible. Y'know the tiny little lines protruding out of Fear's body? The Player's ribcage also has that, as in smaller bones forcibly grew out of the sides of their already existing ribs. These all are affecting their ability to breathe properly Hatred did the absolute least out of all the Isolations, all it did was heavily tint the Player's hands and wherever their veins are a very deep shade of red, it is especially noticable on their neck. Now, even though this is the most tame (get it, cause Hatred was the only one we tamed) of all the physical properties, it still is a problem as it basically shows off where all of their veins are, like the ones that basically guarantee death if cut (example: the jugular vein). The Player's ability to speak clearly a majority of the times was also traded out for the ability to "purr," I say it like that because it sounds like a very intense fire and someone having a hard time breathing at the same time.

All of those "adjustments" made them about three to five inches taller and none of them can be undone, it's all permanent.

Out of all the SFoTH, the Ghostwalker is the only one they would keep, not because they want to, but because they don't want anyone to feel what they had to (omg its the Player's first and maybe last selfless act that I'll mention)

Terry can fall asleep on command whenever he wants

First and Khao actually has same number of roles. I don't know how to measure popularity in rookie years cause First came late to the bl world and I don't know if those playing straight roles were popular at the time. Though interestingly firstnamtan was really popular as a pair from what I have seen from comments of their series. "Shipper" is not considered as a bl because of the body swap so technically his first bl role is yok. And I agree firstgawin was popular and that's why there is still fight over it while there is not much fight over poddkhao break up, but honestly they are being silly cause fk are really good together.They complement each other so well and having an honest friendship on top of that is a bonus. Anyone not liking them for petty reasons are missing out

Well anon, you probably will know more about how many acting roles they had during their rookies year than I do (as I have only been an avid follower post-TE), although I’m constantly trying to dig up all infos about them 😂 pre-TE with varying success.

Either way, I just get the impression the shows/series First was in had more coverage/success than KT. Maybe that’s why previous asked mentioned First’s fanbase during his rookie year was massive (esp when compared to KT). I think First also had roles in reality shows while KT didn’t? (During his rookie year?)

Anyhow, I’m with you here - FirstKhaotung as a CP are just dynamite.

Even when they are acting individually (cause didn’t First had supporting roles in Astrophile, F4 Thai in 2022) plus the memorable cameo by Khaotung as Zero in Home School - they remain exquisite as actors 👌

So yeah, boo for the petty fans but oh well, more FK for us!!! 🤍🧡

I don’t know if someone has already asked you this question, but what made you ship Daemyra?

For me, it really comes down to how it ended—pure tragedy. And I’m a sucker for tragic endings, which GRRM himself has said he eagerly gravitates toward🤭 A lot of people argue that Rhaenyra and Daemon weren’t really a romance, just a political match, but I’ve always disagreed with that—especially since that claim tends to come from Rhaenyra antis for some reason🫣🫣

Imo they absolutely fit the tragic romance genre. The love, the loss, the downfall—it’s all there. Their story isn’t just political maneuvering; it’s layered with INTENSE emotion, misunderstanding and devastation. But they were happy once, for years, and for a man like Daemon it speaks volumes

No matter what did or didn’t happen, or what might’ve happened or should’ve happened—it doesn’t change the fact that they are the absolute embodiment of a OTP. They’re messy, unconventional, definitely not the healthiest dynamic lol, but I honestly don’t think GRRM cares about that at all. He made them matter. In a sense they remind me of Rhaelya (they’re different ofc do not mistaken me, but they have some echoes when you really think about it)

They carried on the Targaryen line even after Rhaenyra was usurped and deposed. Their sons both became kings. They married in secret on Dragonstone and were basically shunned for it. And they died five months apart in the same year. That detail alone should’ve sealed it for everyone. GRRM is a deeply sentimental writer—he doesn’t do things like that by accident. There’s a reason why he stated that Daemon’s relationship with Rhaenyra was his favourite aspect of him (“him” being one of his favourite characters). He put a lot of care in them. He REALLY wanted them to be Dany’s ancestors

Sorry I digressed a little, but I love your posts and analyses, they’re always so well structured with solid arguments, it’s refreshing, especially when it’s about book canon🙏🏻🙏🏻👍🏻

Firstly, thank you, anon! I try, hope I don't come across as pretentious.

Answer to the question

This is one post answering why people in general may ship them.

I, specifically horizon-verizon, ship Daemyra bc of the specific duality and how it breeds the passion between them, because their duality has contradictions that nevertheless make things work between them: their sheer compatibility, their matching each other's values, passion, pride, but ability to really understand each other that entails an electric and yet comforting sort of intimacy that entails "softness". They as individuals are very unapologetically themselves, and I also envy that. When they are together, it's dynamo, dynamite, and there's a kind of serenity-of-accepting-who-the-other-is at the core (until of course kids are dying, and their separation does not help that, but that, I have criticisms of how GRRM essentially recreates a "mad-mother" trope). Even in Rhaenyra's order to have Nettles killed (and after @rhaenin-time has both put out posts here and Twitter Abt it, I don't know if Rhaenyra was actually after Nettles in a racist she-couldn't-seduce-him-bc-she's-a-darkie sort of way, but it was still an abuse of power and wrong and self-defeating in so many ways at its core), she is determined to lay "claim" on this man and he her, in lieu of this intimacy they have had for years. Like she can't be "properly" herself without him (again, as I said in another post, Rhaenyra would not give up her kids for him).

So when you say: "it's layered with intense emotion, misunderstanding, and devastation", for me, it's more so the emotion part, but for me their end actually reinforces the feeling of their "unity" to me, again, bc Rhaenyra looking to reestablish that connection she thinks is lost but also because the story is framed in a way were not just her, but Daemon's deaths were tragic not just for their house but women (ironically, considering who Daemon was but again, it's the DUALITY for me!, just differently here) and the realm against the Long Night. It's like they, together, were sort of "meant", if you catch my drift, when you put it all together, and even though I don't really believe in soulmates as in our souls were literally composed by semi-conscious or conscious external forces to "be" together or that we are halves of a whole, I do and have always loved when two puzzle pieces fit together. Whether it's by a sameness or by a difference "fitness".

Rhaelya

It's also why I love Rhaelya, and with Rhaelya it's as you point out about the DEVASTATION--a bit more or at least obviously than Daemyra--as an equal element to the others . I really love how the haunting of RhaegarxLyanna seems to have in the narrative even when they aren't being mentioned: Needs constant and more-more frequent memories of Lyanna as well as Robert's hatred and Cersei's later musings set us up to sense this couple without ever actually meeting them. Not to mention Dany dreams of Rhaegar at least 3 times. They therefore HAVE to mean something to what's going to be revealed later on, esp in lieu of what fans argue what really happened to make them risk so much to want to run away together. We know it's definitely not a thing of logic, so what is left to us is to either reject them or to explore the possibilities of why they did this through examining their emotional ties to others to get a sense of what values and emotional landscapes they had to themselves. And what attracted them together, which I also have already written several times as to why they were attracted to each other and why Rhaegar was not raping Lyanna. And like, Daemyra, this ship or their ends, to me, simply reinforce this sense of them being pretty "perfect" for each other, and like Daemyra OF ONLY THEY HADN'T LIVED IN THE WORLD (really the unfair sociopolitical circumstances and timing out of their control) THEY DID.

It's like they all (but esp Rhaelya) represent an intimacy that can never be or survive long bc the world will not allow it, but is deliciously potent and the "best" therefore it is "worth" great risks. It's also like saudade, in a way. Saudade is a Portuguese and Galician word for the feeling of missing and remembering something/someone that was lost and you can never regain it back again but there's sometimes happiness that the thing has existed, and sometimes it encompasses the feeling of missing something before it even disappears or is lost. And an aspect is that you cannot control the future, like some things are fateful not bc they were predetermined but because loss is a part of life and we can control nothing (or in some cases, we want something so bad we misinterpret things and lose things that way).

In Rhaeyla's case, the haunting and saudade is in how you (reader, Ned, Lyanna, or Rhaegar, take your pick, there are layers to this) miss what was could have been if such and such didn't already happen for it to be nearly impossible but you know what sweet thing it would have been if it had been successful or allowed to happen. Similar for Daemyra, but that one really is more political-political and focuses more on sexism. And since the Targs devolve after all the sexism in their own house to rule the larger sexist realm....ah, I just LOVE IT all!

There's a bittersweet acknowledgement of one losing one's "innocence" in that process that parallels that central loss of saudade, because I sense and the narrative supports that Rhaegar and Lyanna's deaths are INCLUDED in the tragedies of Elia's and those children's deaths. The "innocence" is not the same kind of innocence Elia and her kids had, but it is an "innocence" in that something that "fitting" could not easily be without riding that fine, dangerous line between great happiness or mortality that in itself highlights how very human that phenomenon makes the "riders" (Lyanna, Daemon, Rhaenyra, Rhaegar). You also lost a "pure" thing that for once came from the unmitigated sincerity of yourself, this investment of intimacy that you have "discovered". It doesn't make you a "good" person, it makes you a very passionate and vulnerable and fallable one. I like to think of it in a ITWV way, Lestat and Louis and Pandora and Armand, all such messy people looking for love.

Not only did Elia's kids die unjustly bc of the violence done to them and to her and how it was preventable, the Lannisters (or really Tywin) and the Lannisters and the royal Targaryens are all a part of this feudal system that ensures such a thing would inevitably happen again because of the repressive love vs duty binary that eventually ended with a dynasty self-imploding. Whether as a collective or as individuals, people really are their worst enemies, and this is where the feeling and set up of "entrapment" stems from. We are capable of great evil and great, positive, amazing things and the things are often intertwined or happening at once or feul each other.

I already explained how Daemyra's duality is to me so tantalizing yet so comforting, bc through each other they seem to finally validate themselves--to me, this is what makes it "pure". In Rhaelya's case, there's again that critical element of each individual accepting who and what the other is, even celebrating it as if it's a "at long last" sort of scenario.

This is the "purity" I sense, despite yes how Rhaegar took it way too far to make as if their love would be the "fix" for his fulfillment of the prophecy if that's what he was going for. It was projection, but in a weird dual way, it reinforces just how much he regarded Lyanna bc he saw their relationship as worth that risk AND it's bitter sweetly ironic that the ONE time Rhaegar is purely selfish is when he does this, and it upends so much of the stuff he was working towards, it makes Lyanna run off with a married man to escape a very unhappy and likely-to-have-turned-out-abusive marriage, and kick-starts an already coming conflict towards open war. All things are true at once. Same for Rhaenyra for Daemon if one argued that she risked a lot to marry him; we do see that Viserys banned them from court after they married for a while and IF you were just thinking politically, you may argue that this was Alicent's chance to convince Viserys to remove Rhaenyra once and for all. Emotionally, we know that wasn't going to happen, but you know what I mean. There was an acknowledgement of a possible GREAT risk, but for them, more so themselves the individuals (Rhaenyra losing her seat and that being part of the extent they knew they risked).

Like GRRM, I am both a romantic and a Romantic at heart. Daemyra feels and presents as much more sensual than Rhaelya, but both present a dreaminess in the impossibleness of the possibility they are.

This was the era I became ARMY. So Stay Gold has a special place in my heart. I'll admit that I wasn't as suspicious or aware of them when I first saw those performances. It's really with hindsight, or once you 'allow' yourself to view a given (a group of young men in a band) from a different perspective, that you see how romantic those two are towards the other. That's where fanservice overlaps with the natural chemistry of the people involved. When you see what it looks like when two incompatible people do this kind of fanservice, it will feel forced and gross.

I agree that Jimin and Jungkook have been placed into some interesting situations thanks to this innate chemistry. That's why it's lazy to say that they always practice fanservice. The reason they get to show off that chemistry is because they HAVE chemistry. It's a swan and egg conundrum.

When I saw the Switch concept, my mind also went,'Wait, if Jikook switch their concepts, there won't be as much of a contrast' 😅😅 but I'd still love to see it. All of it!

Can you really claim the bb hot 100 night as a ym moment when Jimin said he was with Jk?

Hi anon! I haven’t “claimed” anything. I simply posted Jimin’s tweet and a screenshot of Yoongi’s words from the live. I didn’t add any commentary. People are more than welcome to come to their own conclusions.

Normally, I would just leave it at that, but…let’s talk about it in detail. Why not? It’s an interesting moment because it applies to more than one ship.

Let’s look at what we know:

Jimin tweeted at approx 5 a.m. KST, an hour after he got the news about Dynamite. In the midst of his excitement, he mentioned one member: Yoongi. He says they talked. He does not say if this was over the phone or in person or if they talked on the phone with the intention of meeting up in person.

The next day during their live, Yoongi said he cried with Jimin “all night long”. Again, no mention of whether this was in person or on the phone.

At the press event, Jimin said he found out at 4 a.m. and cried until he went to sleep at 7 a.m. He said he was with Jk when he got the news, and he mentioned their initial excitement. He said he talked to the members. We don’t hear about that in much detail.

Years later, in the documentary, we see the members discussing this night. Joon talked about calling each member. He gestured holding up a phone and calling Jimin. He gestured hanging up. He gestured picking up a phone and calling jk. He gestured hanging up. (This suggests separate phone calls, in my opinion, but this is a small detail.)

That’s the information we have, and we’ve got two choices: we can assume someone is lying or we can assume they are all telling the truth and that Jimin was with and/or spoke to more than one person that night.

It seems unfair to assume someone is lying, and how would we know who to believe? The safer bet is to assume they are telling the truth.

If we are willing to look at all of the information instead of picking and choosing which parts of it we want to believe, it seems pretty clear.

My belief is that Jimin and Jk were hanging out when they got the news. The phone calls started. One of those calls was between Yoongi and Jimin. They met up.

(I think it is unlikely that two people would cry on the phone for hours when they live near each other. They’d just go to each other. But I’ll admit this part is speculation.)

If you want to assume that Jimin was with Jk and only Jk from 4-7 a.m. and that during this special time Jimin was on the phone with Yoongi for hours, be my guest. 🤷‍♀️ That option is fine too.

However, if you want to assume someone is lying because you find the information inconvenient, then we’ll have to agree to disagree.

Sorry this is a long response but I’m so tired of people automatically assuming dishonesty. We are seeing that a lot lately in regards to a recent phone call, and it just drives me nuts.

The fact that bugs have exoskeletons, exaggerated antennae, odd-looking bodies, and furry legs makes them so different from the human or mammal makeup that we perceive bugs as negative or other than ourselves. In large numbers, ants, roaches and other bugs elicit a terror response in most people.

I cant believe how annoying this is, esp when i have ZERO knowledge about arthropods so i had to research, but the pics kept setting me off (except for crustaceans some were delicious to look at)

“What’s this?” Alfie asked as you handed him a list and then hurried off. You paused in the doorway and looked at him as if you were surprised by him questioning you.

“Just some things I need.” You answered quickly. He nodded slowly and looked down at the list again.

��Just some things… you need.” He repeated slowly. Then he looked up from the list and gave you a quizzical look. "A crowbar... dynamite... cyanide. As if we'd run out." 

“Good.” You said firmly and went to leave his office.

“You urm. You aren’t going to tell me what you need it all for?” He asked and you turned around giving him a look that was innocently surprised with a touch of mischief. 

“No. No, I’m not.” You answered quickly and he nodded slowly. 

“Well then. I’ll make sure you get it all. You do know how to use the dynamite?” He asked and winced at the last part. You shrugged and leaned on the doorframe for a moment. 

“You don’t need to worry about that I won’t be the one using it.” You smiled and left. Alfie had been about to say that it didn’t make him feel much better but decided that if he had things he couldn’t tell you about, he couldn’t complain that you had the same. Though he was going to ask Ollie to keep an ear out just in case whatever you were up to was something serious.

I loooooove aftg AUs!! One of my favorite AU fics that I've read (it's still ongoing) is The Sun Still Rises by mordax, it's an AU where Mary has a second son (Alex) while they're on the run so once she dies, Neil has to juggle Everything Else while also raising his lil brother. It's so well written and it does a great job portraying Neil as a Flawed but Trying parental figure. And also the foxes interacting with small children. And also seth doesn't die and accidentally becomes part of the Neil-and-brother defense squad 🤣

My other top AU is raven!nathaniel. Those are (understandably) much darker fics but there are So Many good ones

In terms of favorite Tropes, I'm always a fan of Angst and Hurt/Comfort which is probably evident from all the recs I included 🤣 I also really enjoy fics that include slice-of-life foxes shenanigans, especially if it's from other Fox POVs (special shout out to wymack POV <3)

please be serious anon. The gp doesn't give a fck about that encore. The gp in Korea doesn't even watch those Kpop music shows only Kpop fans care to watch it. Not to mention Koreans aren't known to necessarily obsess over vocals like a single look at the songs from Kpop artists that do well recently and none of them highlight vocals it's mainly catchy songs and right now Korea favours girl groups over boys groups or male soloists anyways lol. I need some pjms to log off from thequoo or pann or those akgaes run platform and stop believing random sht bc the gp aren't spending their days hating on jimin when he's literally one of their favourite idols. Kpop stans and especially other bts solos are the one spreading hate over an irrelevant encore. Anyone with sense knows every artist including the best ones have bad days. It's just hard to get a hit song in Korea overall because Korean gp is unpredictable and bts don't have recognition as individuals there they're mainly known as a group so it makes it harder that's all. Plus it doesn't really matter because global success has always been what made bts bigger in Korea and I have no doubt it will be the same for jimin. There's a reason why his numbers went up in Korea after he got the #1 on the hot 100 last year. Just like bts only got pass for dynamite after they hit #1 on the hot 100 too. And jimin's numbers for Like crazy reached their peak on kcharts after the irrelevant encore proving once again gp doesn't care about things like that.

Yes, Anna Foerster did wonders for OL and singlehandedly elevated what could very well be pathetic porn to flawless Art, which is spectacular and responsible for at least half of the immediate sympathy (and more...) tsunami, on behalf of These Two and of the whole project. I personally did find Gabaldon's gaze a bit wanting when it comes to intimacy, but cannot really blame or fault her: I think it might be a generational thing, rather. What the series brought to this was novelty and magic and (well, yes...) truth. When you add these three elements, the result is dynamite.

Take this particular (very loaded) moment, for example:

This is a woman's gaze on an intimate scene totally (shamelessly?) owned by another woman. He is under her spell and happy to remain there (for the rest of his life, as we know from the books) and this is Moment Number Two - not yet love (that would be Tartan Moment Number Three, in my book), but raw (and yes, very modern), devastating physical attraction. The genius is to put that very cerebral, almost subdued filter on the circumstance and let the tiny gestures (his hand throwing the shirt in concession) speak for themselves.

What episode of Season One did you like the most? And what do you think about the IC's work in the last seasons, ignoring for a moment the fact that, according to the last SAG-AFTRA agreement with TPTB, their presence on set is now almost mandatory when nudity scenes are scripted?
