I want to make like 17 posts about eastern bluebirds right now, Im smitten. This happens every time I band them, they're just... incredible birds.

Anyways-- I like their flight noise, they sound like theyre so concerned about whatever else is going on.

So... Nuju and astrology. How long did it take him to figure out that however reliable the stars were in Metru Nui for providing information, that was NOT true on Mata Nui? Do we know?

He probably realised quite quickly that they were DIFFERENT, but how long did he insist on trying to apply his old hermeneutic to the new situation? Did he sit there on Mt. Ihu in the dark, muttering to himself that he'd drop the birdspeak just as soon as the Great Spirit revealed the method of the stars? Did Matoro find him tweeting unhinged curses when he thought he'd finally found a correlation only for his first prediction to completely crater?

With so much invested in astrology, was he ever eable to see the beauty and order of astronomy? You would think so--ancient humans seem to have recognised the patterns and regularity of the stars long before any of them discovered the wheel or came up with letters. But humans are also stuck in their belief systems: would Nuju have been a medieval-bound Ptolemaic geocentrist wanting Galileo punished for heresy? Perhaps in Metru Nui... but maybe on Mata Nui it was so different that he didn't have to abandon his old expectations, allowing him to form new ones.

Still, I kind of think Nuju never became much of an astronomer. I don't think he loved the stars so much as he loved puzzling out the future, so he gave up on the stars and started puzzling out Vakama's visions. Perhaps it was Whenua, whose Ruru made the stars and galaxies shine with gem-like brightness, that was the patron Turaga of astronomy, or Nokama, the teacher of observation. Maybe it was even Onewa, who saw the lifeless grandeur and order of the stars as a thing rather than a puzzle who was amazed at the precision and order of the Supreme Sculptor.

But I doubt it was Nuju. He no longer has a scope on his mask. He no longer looks to the stars.

it's so fucking weird when proshippers say that proshipping is like fundamental to "fandom" and no one would have fandom without it when most people can enjoy like games and kids shows without talking LOUDLY and CONSTANTLY about how rap(eable the characters are and how much they want them to be r(aped. if that's all fandom is about fandom should die actually

vi. operation crash the date | snap out of it

kuina and arisu has arrived way too early to find a good spot where they could successfully eavesdrop your conversation. would you forgive them if you found out they were right behind a bush from where you and karube were sitting? no absolutely not, yet they would make sure you didn’t suspect a single thing. at least to their own accords. arisu had figured out that you and karube would be having some picnic date, not to mention the third date this week already..

even after multiple warnings arisu gave you, you didn’t care to listen and still clung to your feelings for karube. anyway, karube, being the first to arrive, set the whole place up. it looked way too romantic for just a “friends meet up” but not like kuina or arisu could do anything. after a little while of sitting there waiting for you to arrive arisu eventually spotted you walking towards the small set up date.

“i didn’t take you for a picnic date kind of guy” arisu could practically hear you screaming “pls date me” through your words, much to his disliking. “well, I have to do quite anything to please the girl I like no?” it was now kuinas turn to cringe at his words. “So you finally admit it” you looked up at him hopeful.

he couldn’t help but realize at his slip up, he only chuckled and nodded at your words. “You know, I’ve always admired you.” and truly he did, “ever since I met you, you always talked about what you wanted to do in the future, and even after having hard times, you never gave up on that dream of yours. it just amazes me, you’re an amazing person (name)..”

before you could open your mouth to say anything back he quickly changed the subject, he knew that if you were to talk he would only start stuttering “anyway, I bought these really good-” suddenly he could feel a pair of lips intertwined with his, and he knew exactly what it was. as much as he liked you he wanted to pull away and keep you from falling deeper than you already were, yet he couldn’t help it. karube placed his hands on both sides of your head and deepened the kiss.

as you pulled away to catch your breath you caught him staring right at you, had you ever noticed how pretty his eyes were?

a couple seconds later of staring you could feel yourself being pulled against his lips again. you were practically smiling through the kiss, maybe, just maybe this was finally your chance at a healthy, loving relationship. you truly wanted to believe that was the case, and you let yourself believe that.

though, what you didnt know was that your brother was being held back by your best friend right behind the tall bush right in front of you. as much as arisu wanted to crash the date, kuina prevented him from grabbing a hold of his blonde friend and punching him right across the face. as violent as that sounded he really would have done it.

“karube, i really do like you and i would love to be with you if you allowed me to..” you smiled towards him so lovingly, so sweet he couldn’t say no “(name).. Im not sure if I can start a relationship yet, and I don’t want to ask much from you but if you don’t mind, would you wait for me?” he took your hand in his and intertwined your fingers together. “I’ll wait for you, don’t worry

Probably alive. With background characters that I don't have specific plans for, I don't kill them off unless I have to, in case I need / want to use them in future. It makes doing a large project like this on my own, and keeping track of it all, easier if I keep as many cards on the table as possible.

They stole the enigma of combination from the Iacon Vaults after it was used to create Autobot combiners and following rumours Ratchet was planning on experimenting with it. They accidentally activated it, and became Devastator.

how weird, im in a lot of pain but actually not that much fatigue despite being active all day ("active" as in i did a bit of chores and spent the day sitting-but-not-in-bed)

ever since i went on cortisone my pain and fatigue went out of sync and its very confusing because pain used to be an early and much more grasp-eable symptom that i could rely on and now its just. weird.

but its a relief that perhaps i didnt fuck myself over completely for the day of tomorrow cuz despite feeling the pain i wasnt able to break hyperfocus and kept Doing Things but maybe my fatigue levels will be okay....?
