I'm always a bit surprised when I see hate for Shaak Ti based on her "Republic property" line like it's some kind of slam dunk statement of her views... have you guys seriously never had to speak someone else's language before? I'm not even trying to comment on her motives or beliefs here- but whether you read her as advocating for Fives or not, if she was 100% unambiguously advocating for Fives there that would still have been the right thing to say to the Kaminoans to get custody of him.

Fictional couples should have the 3 m's: malice, manipulation, and manslaughter. I can settle for just one or two but if we can get all three that's where the sweet spot is

tlhod’s Gender Situation as written in 1968 (published in 1969) was about a man from Earth who goes to another planet inhabited by alternate-bio ambisexual humans who are completely like Earth humans in every other respect. The man from Earth at first expects them to be like men in a way that’s recognizable to him, and that expectation causes him some struggles in relating to them, but he then comes to accept them on their own terms.
An updated look at that Gender Situation might be about a nonbinary person from Earth who goes to another planet inhabited by alternate-bio ambisexual humans who are completely like Earth humans in every other respect. The nonbinary person from Earth at first expects them to be like nonbinary people in a way that’s recognizable to them, and that expectation causes them some struggles in relating to them, but they then come to accept them on their own terms.
Mutatis mutandis since “nonbinary” is a way, way broader category than “man” (hello multigenders I love you) but people who have never heard of gender are going to have a different, for lack of a better word, thing going on than someone who is familiar with a gender binary and has rejected it.
(I also think having a normal earth queer person interact with members of a fantasy gender/lack of gender would be interesting. Real deal meets metaphor. It’s like if an actual trans woman met Jadzia Dax.)

i want to ask other witches or anyone really who works with magics opinions on this!
i feel a more personal connection with the concept that the sun and moon are rules by one entity, maybe this entity controls the earth and allows us to see these celestial bodies? i don't know how to explain it- but i feel as tho the sun and moon are very connected sort of how cats and dogs can have one owner sort of thing?
i've never really heard of a deity or divine being that rules over both the sun and moon, it's usually two deities, and i do understand why that is! and it does make sense to me! but i feel like there is also a deity that controls the way the sun and moon are perceived? does any of this make sense
point is i just wanted to get that out there to the world :)
i'd love to hear others thoughts about the moon and sun, your beliefs around it and such!!

Heyoooo. I wanted to say, I'm sorry about that mean-ass, insulting anon you got a while back. That ask ended up pissing me off so bad I ended up actually reading your Marchil analysis posts. Originally, I was meh and kinda confused when the ship showed up in Ao3 because I didn't see what people liked about it. Reading your posts about how they were narrative foils opened my mind more, and I realized, Oh shit yeah there's a lot of potential in this ship for how these two can develop each other.
Part 2: Marcille and Chilchuck may not have scenes like the infamous bath scene with Farlin, but the concept of someone who's terrified of being alone, the reality of her friends' mortality, a hopeless romantic catching feelings for a repressed, divorced man whose wife left him--okay yeah, I absolutely understand the appeal of this ship. Marcille would be like, Why the fuck is my heart thrumming for this sharp-tongued bitch, and also the terror from falling in love with someone so short-lived Part 3: Either way, love your analysis posts. I am going to be contemplating the potential of Marcille and Chilchuck for a long while. There is something so tragically sweet about it
You get it, you really do… I could list off everything I love about them but I’d be here forever because it’s literally everything and there are so many fun ways to spin it… You’re very right about them being tragically sweet, overall where their arcs meet the most is "Loving is something worth doing even with the risk of loss", and I say risk but really it’s more the inevitable eventuality of it as canon does love to point out. If you want the reward of being loved you must go through the mortifying ordeal of being known. No love however brief is wasted. Let me see you and stay. It’s very much sort of the final boss to their arcs for them to get invested in each other in such a way, to get involved romantically— emotionally with someone knowing what’s coming and that she barely has two decades left with him (who mistreats his health so much he very well could die early), and to shoot your shot for something new with hope in your heart and enough confidence that you’re worth loving. He’s not a prince charming but to her he sort of is, all virtuous husband this reliable dependable Chilchuck that, all "you may be flawed but I’ll still romanticize your qualities and convince you that you and your love for your beloved are something worth fighting for".
What if I was old bread that solidified to be hard as rock and you were like warm soup and by soaking in your presence I softened……… What if you stubbornly grew on me like yeast and it brought out my flavor like beer as I opened up and allowed you in………. What if your hair was golden, the epitome of beauty to me, and my hair turned silver, your worst nightmare……. I think about them a normal amount

Nnghhhr i get so upset whenever i try to think of a way to bruce and joker to be in a ""normal"" relationship because both have to lose the essence of what makes them 'them', them
I mean that as in both of them having to change what makes batman, well, batman, and joker changing what makes him joker (with joker having to compromise in a way larger scale than bruce). At that point its not even really batjokes anymore, its two different people in a way.
I think the closest they have to a normal relationship where they dont have to change much of their identities is in telltale. Even then, joker has to go under rehabilitation, but its way less drastic for joker's sense of self in this universe.
I wonder if there's a way of them maintaining their usual dynamic but in a more stable way?
There is a way, my friend. And it's called BDSM.

inspired by that post, anyway some characters i think are trans
ID: a line graph titled 'transsexual headcanons spectrum'. on the far left is "oh well it would be fun for them to be trans ^___^ (closed eye smile emoticon) ( / a world where cis is the minority and Trans is the majority)". the middle is "I know them". the right is "Their lore is literally impacted by their transsexualism & I'm (edited to say not) the only one who sees it". characters on the left are ragman, karma and elektra. characters in the middle are mara sov, kiryu kazuma and moon knight. characters on the right are majima goro, baru cormorant and the martian manhunter. end ID.]

I like this design so im sharing it! feeling nostalgic about su these days...
A single gem who got inspired by Earth's 'impressionist' art. He's an artist that paints with liquid paint, as opposed to Homeworld's normalized digital art. He paints mostly landscapes, but occasionally has other gems appear in his paintings. He's always looking for inspiration and sees the beauty in everything. He has his own garden, full of aquatic plants similar to nympheas and trees that look like willows.
Inspired by this Black Opal! it made me think of Monet's Nympheas immediately, so i had to do a design about it!

while the world of the silt verses is by no means a utopia (in fact its actually um. Bad), transgenderism being seeming completely societally accepted to the point that politicians and cops can be openly nonbinary is like. seemingly a point in its favor like liveability wise. and then u remember that dennis makes a point to say he paid for paiges transition. and it hits u like. it still costs money to be transgender. bitches in the silt verses cant have anything bro if my government was gonna feed me to a train id prefer if they at least paid for my hrt first...

Okay, so.
Jonny d'Ville has committed every crime in existence (except the sexual ones).
Which means he has probably done every profession and job (except the sexual ones) and did every crime that relates to that job.
Guys.... That means that Jonny d'Ville was a landlord at some point.
