Moonlighter's by Leland Martin - Truly cannot overstate how incredibly fucking good Leland Martin is. This entire album is wall-to-wall bangers.

4. taste by august moon (from the idea of you): guys i can’t overstate how excited i am for this damn movie… nicholas galitzine aside, i genuinely just enjoy the songs like !! the 1d songwriters are working their magic as god intended xD

5. rush by troye sivan: bought troye x charli tickets last week! can’t wait 🤩

The Raven Tower by Ann Leckie: I adore everything else Leckie has written, and screeched wildly to find that she’s publishing more.  

The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon: This was recommended to me as an “if you like x, you’ll like this,” with x being several of my favorite novels. Excited to dig in!

Middlegame by Seanan McGuire: if you know anything at all about me, you know how much I love Seanan McGuire/Mira Grant. Speaking of....

In The Shadow of Spindrift House by Mira Grant: EEEEEEE. 

When the Grey Beetles Took Over Baghdad by Mona Yahia: not a shiny new 2019 release, but a Really Important book. 

The Last Cigarette on Earth by Benjamin Alire Sáenz: I’ve had this for a while - it’s actually in the teetering pile of books on my nightstand - and I want to finally read it.

Love & Other Carnivorous Plants by Florence Gonsalves: I.....got this from the library and then moved and discovered I’d accidentally kind of stolen it (don’t worry, I paid the fine) so I should probably get around to reading it!

A Stranger in Olondria by Sofia Samatar: So many people have talked about this as an “If you liked x,” BUT THE IF YOU LIKED X WAS THE TRAITOR BARU CORMORANT! I am going to die, but I’m probably going to enjoy it. 

Black Leopard, Red Wolf by Marlon James: I’ve heard really good things about it, and the author’s actually visiting a bookstore near me next week! 

The Djinn Falls in Love & Other Stories, ed. Mahvesh Murad: I’ve wanted to read this for ages, but kept having trouble actually finding a copy -- a problem which I fixed just the other day, yay! I love anthologies with a burning passion.

1. My favourite ice cream flavour is matcha but it’s sadly a bit difficult to find!

2. English isn’t my first language, I started being serious about learning it because I saw that most fics were written in English and I wanted to read them. I am now studying English literature. 

3. I always wanted to practice an instrument but my grandmother, who taught my siblings, refused to teach me because I was left-handed so I never learnt. 

4. I really really like tea! I’m a “classic“ person so I mostly drink Earl Grey or any black tea with a hint of citrus and bergamot... 

5. I love hiking and camping. 

6. My ‘style’ is 90% black sweaters. And some dark red lipstick when I’m feeling fancy. 

7. I have two tattoos and no piercings.

8. I love watching movies, especially gothic horror and gothic romances.

9. I can’t learn something unless I’ve written it down so the amount of notebooks I have is a bit ridiculous. 

10. I’m a very, very slow reader because I’m always unconsciously trying to learn everything by heart....
