I Know kim and harry literally index the case using the date 08/03 suggesting this is the date of day 1 however ruby's diary entry says M's peone is coming to martinaise to investigate on the Ninth (and besides, it doesnt fit with the date of death being the fourth and that the corpse has been hanging for seven days as of day 1). might the index just use eg the date the corpse was reported to the rcm rather than the date assigned officers actually make it to the scene

#in which case day 1 is on the eleventh right...#lely was murdered (4th) -> cuno threw rocks at the corpse for a few days before klaasje decided to call it in (8th) ->#harry arrived in martinaise (a few hours later on the 8th?) -> harry has a three day long bender and wakes up the morning of the 11th #that being said ruby's diary entry about being holed up 'here' (taking this to mean the fisher shack) is from the 12th #so maybe klaasje called it in say 11pm on the 8th and the dispatched harry the morning of the 9th #plus the three day bender would have the kineema waking up harry and scaring away ruby to the feld building on the 12th #I Sure Feel like this is something that should be very simple that im just not understanding bc im tired #or maybe it was obvious to everyone else this whole time. not sure!#gemitus #disco elysium #maintagging yeah sowwy 👍#i think the fact that he was killed at night probably adds some rounding to the mix here

the big bang feels almost. biblical in its scale. something along the lines of, and the TARDIS so loved the earth she kept it alive for millennia at the death of the universe, burning forever at the centre of things, the final star in the sky, because hope itself was the only hope left

turns out i don’t really hate the …deification.. of the doctor that initially put me off this era all that much. it’s because there’s been a genre shift and i hadn’t adjusted (embarrassing for a person that’s always talking about ‘genre awareness’). morphed from a sci-fi drama to a fairytale, a myth, a legend, that’s why the characters feel flatter: they’re not people, they’re tales. with rtd the story orbits the characters. with moffat, the characters orbit the story. it’s all for the narrative itself. and the doctor is synonymous with the narrative, that’s why everyone and everything seems to revolve around him now, he is the story!! the TARDIS becomes the sun because the earth revolves around it! and although all of this makes it a different show entirely, i don’t particularly mind

rewatching seasons 5-7 of doctor who is painful because the 11th doctor has some great moments but then they're just like RANDOM SEX JOKE, THE DOCTOR FUCKS NOW, OH LOOK HOT SEXY BADASS WOMAN NUMBER 69 every 5 seconds, like leave me alone please this is getting so weird

#somehow the 11th doctor doesn't know what sex is and also fucks and over a decade later im still confused #also i still think the #doctor married a woman who is the child of his companions one of which tried to hook up with him the night before her wedding #but was also her own parents childhood friend #thing was weird and the dynamic becomes increasingly uncomfortable #also clara and 11 have like no chemistry she is so much better with 12 #like in every aspect i just mean chemistry generally not like specifically romantically #oh also to add to the weird dynamic the doctor and amy first met when she was a child so in a very short amount of time they go from #oh look the doctor is being nice to a child #to #oh fuck the child is an adult and wants to fuck him now what the fuck #doctor who #eleventh doctor
