BOMBSHELL REPORT: Inside source Reveals Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman General Mark Milley DELAYED NATIONAL GUARD RESPONSE to Jan 6 "Then Lied About It."
Colonel Earl G. Matthews, who served as the senior legal adviser to Major General William J. Walker, the leader of the Washington D.C. National Guard during the events of January 6th, 2021, has directed criticism towards former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley.
Matthews has accused Milley of failing to adequately control the protest that occurred on that day.
Additionally, Matthews drew a comparison between Milley, now retired, and the fictional character Don Emilio Barzini from "The Godfather", portraying Milley in a similar light to the character who was a key adversary of Don Vito Corleone in the movie.
"The problem was not with Donald Trump; it’s Mark Milley and the Army leadership in control. They stopped the Guard from coming then lied about it and said the Guard acted at sprint speed."

Uh oh what has Barzini done to Gabriella 👀
Barzini has done some unspeakable things. 👀 Sure, the whole Emilio situation (which we'll get into) may have irked him a little bit... This time, he's hoping Gabriella will accept his apology.
What for? When? How? That'll actually be revealed at the very end of the fic. 😵‍💫

𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒊𝒔 𝒅𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒓𝒆 𝒇𝒖𝒍𝒇𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒅? 𝒂) 𝒔𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒔𝒇𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒃) 𝒓𝒐𝒕
bill skarsgard . cis man . he/him ➶ I RECOGNISE THAT FACE ! that’s PRIAM PLINTH , the THIRTY-ONE year old EXECUTIVE PRODUCER from THE CAPITOL . they’ve been in the capitol HIS ENTIRE LIFE , long enough to gain a reputation for being so AMBITIOUS & IRRESOLUTE . they’re so lucky getting to live in the tribute center for the duration of the games! ( character ISN’T part of the uprising )
STATS
name: priam plinth birthday: october 4th zodiac: libra sun, aries moon, capricorn rising gender: cis-man pronouns: he/him orientation: bisexual biromantic occupation: executive producer district: capitol family: livinia crane (wife), erasmus plinth (father), zenaida plinth (mother), chiron plinth (older brother) faceclaim: bill skarsgard
PERSONALITY
positive traits: ambitious, perceptive, patient, devoted, negative traits: self-serving, insecure, indecisive, fickle, calculating, irresolute moral alignment: lawful neutral mbti: istj-t— the logistician enneagram: type 4— the achiever temperament: melancholic deadly sin: greed heavenly virtue: patience parallels: ken (barbie), macbeth (macbeth), aaron burr (hamilton), emilio barzini, sr. (the godfather)
BACKGROUND
when the second plinth child enters the world, he’s given the name priam. it’s a peculiar name and he’s never quite sure what to make of being named after a fallen king. he’s long decided it’s less of a namesake and more of a condemnation. he’s anointed with the name of the last king of troy— a vaguely threatening gesture on his parents' part.
vaguely threatening is the perfect phrasing to encapsulate the relationship he has with his parents. his older brother is everything they ever dreamed of. he fulfilled all the duties of an heir, there’s little else for priam to dedicate his efforts to outside of making the most of his second son eligibility. there existed some bargaining power in being second, and it’s how he winds up in a marriage with a crane woman, long before they’re ever given the opportunity to understand the weight of what was being done. it's a knowing that could only accompany age, something the young twenty-somethings were lacking.
he excels in school, and his accolades are airtight on paper, but within priam is something fundamentally lacking. he’s missing that aptitude for politics that seemed innate to the rest of his family. instead, he does his best to remain as interconnected as possible. he’s an arsenal of information that his family saw no real threat in him having. he’ll become something similar to the cranes. and perhaps one day, what he knows will finally amount to something— to some course of action long overdue.
and besides, gall is not something to be taught. it’s not something learned— it’s either there or it’s not. priam’s long abandoned those futile attempts to mold himself into someone he isn’t. someone gutsy and calculating. someone capable of converting untapped potential into tangible results.
this, of course, is where livinia comes in. he’s handed everything and she’s handed him in tandem. who more brilliant than the daughter of an emperor long denied the rights of an empire she earned through merit ten times over? with priam as a vessel, they could move mountains. he’s content with seeing through livinia’s ambitions if unable to rise to the occasion of his own.if only this was enough to quiet the bitterness accumulating in his core. there’s something distantly resentful in the acceptance of his circumstances. accepting his circumstances equates to admittance. it means acknowledging despite possessing every tool at his disposal, despite the fates carving out his path long before he’s born, priam is not nearly half the person he should be. not when doubt finds a way of obscuring each and every one of his endeavors.
even in what he believes was a short-term love, perhaps infatuation (does it really matter in the end?) did doubt dampen all else. priam already offered himself on a proverbial platter. why further ensnare himself to the crane woman by an emotion as binding as love? (the fact of such is not nearly enough to quiet the fluttering of his heart. he knows, despite it all, they’d never be enough for each other. never meant for each other in the most conventional sense.)
they just needed to appear as a unified front to the right people— behind closed doors, the power imbalances are starker than ever. livinia’s brilliant— he’s… well, he’s a plinth. and perhaps his job should count for something. he only needs to breathe life into such designations, to give them meaning beyond the realm of the symbolic alone.
FUN FACTS
A proud malewife in a secret failmarriage (it being a failure is the secret… or so Priam believes.) Hopes to one day be the father of some failchildren. Was once a proud groomzilla.
Has a deep Cain complex as a result of perpetually being in his brother’s shower.
Is quite consumed by his appearance. He gets haircuts and manicures biweekly.
Currently the owner of a Sphinx cat that he took custody of recently. He was never certain of her name prior to adopting to her and became unofficially known as Princess.
Follows the same routine daily. Begins the day with a jog and ends it with a light stretch.
PLOT HOOKS
people who grew up in the same capitolite circles (friends, frenemies, enemies) / that one person priam hooked up with (and was pathetic about it) after his marriage was opened / people who think he’s stupid and hate him / you think he’ll be useful because of his job / maybe one actual true friend / priam fucked you over and now you want vengeance

Released in 1972, Francis Ford Coppola’s The Godfather has gone on to become one of the most critically acclaimed, highest-grossing Movie in cinematic history. Credited with reviving behaviour’ or organized crime genre, Coppola and main actor Al Pacino created a masterpiece that was a gritty representation of the American and Italian underworlds, and how the Corleone family intersected with, and negatively influenced American society as a whole. The Godfather, adapted from Mario Puzo’s novel of the same name, is much more than just a fictional account of a non-existent crime syndicate. Based on real-world examples, Ford Coppola was able to use his chosen medium to deeply analyse many traditions, beliefs and ideology that North America holds dear. The Godfather, it its almost, three-hour entirety, was able to evaluate the impact of and connection between illegal activity on politics, law enforcement, and legitimate business in New York City and beyond. Most importantly, Coppola was able to critically assess the influence, or lack thereof, of religion on the Corleone family. An Italian-American clan, the Corleones were Roman Catholics and despite the sinful way they chose to make a living, that link to religion was never erased. Quite the opposite, in fact, it was used in many ways to further plot lines and used in juxtaposition with the hardening of the criminal faction. The baptismal scene at the end of the film is as chilling as it is unmissable. The unrelenting violence on a backdrop of one of Catholicism’s most joyous occasions makes it an unmistakable part of cinematic and socio-religious history. It is in this way that The Godfather is the perfect marriage of popular culture and religion while casting an introspective and paradoxical light on both.
Religion is thrust upon the viewer even before watching the film. Even the name was chosen, The Godfather relates to “a man who serves as a sponsor for a child at baptism” as well as “any male sponsor or guardian”.Related to the Roman Catholic practice, the chosen terminology subconsciously prepares the viewer for a deeply spiritual film, even though usage of the term ‘godfather’ has also become synonymous with the chieftain of a mafia organization.
It is only in the baptismal scene where both uses of the term are married into one. In it, Michael Corleone, a one-time member of the Marine Corps in World War II fully sheds his disdain for the ‘family business’ and consolidates power within his own ranks, whilst simultaneously sending henchmen to assassinate the heads of the other four powerful New York Crime families — Phillip Tattaglia, Emilio Barzini, Carmine Cuneo and Anthony Stracci. While these murders are being carried out under his orders, Michael is standing at the altar of Old St. Patrick’s Cathedral, partaking in the Baptismal Vows which would see him Godfather to the child of his sister Connie, and husband Carl plotline who would be strangled at the behest of Michael shortly after the church proceedings.
It is precisely this applied religion where Corleone fails his ultimate test of religiosity. By uttering the words and agreeing, in principle, to the denunciation of evil forces and criminal behaviour, Corleone is not essentially agreeing to anything. His true consciousness and mental state are based upon the actions he commits or enables. In the scene, he is being entrusted as a spiritual, moral and ethical guide for his godson, but can not practically be associated with any of those concepts.
Curiously, the scene ends with the priest finishing the baptismal prayer, followed by a cut scene to the outside of the church where congratulations are being held. One thing appears to be missing between this change of location — an acknowledgement of the prayer’s finality by Michael. In the end, Michael does not appear to say or mouth ‘Amen’, even after the priest does so. This subtle but revealing omission also speaks to Michael’s lack of conviction in himself. Where he has rejected evil and sin and accepted his responsibility to help foster the growth of his sister’s son, he does not speak the word universally taken to represent a proclamation of belief or agreement with the prayer that preceded it. Instead, he casts a hollow gaze somewhere between the baptismal candle and the baby in front of him.
Whether this represents his lack of concern or interest in what is an otherwise extremely important step in the Catholic process, or whether it is to symbolize the last ounces of regret draining from his body is unknown. Either way, his insensitivity is peaked at the exact part of the movie where fundamentally happy emotions should be at its highest. The final phrase uttered from the priest: “go in peace, and may the Lord be with you, Amen” is the final irony, whereas after the mass Michael finds out about the success of his assassinations and subsequently murders his sister’s husband. The words of the priest were seemingly lost on him.

Francis Ford Coppola’s The Godfather, released in 1972 went on to win three Academy Awards, five Golden Globes and a series of other prestigious film making prizes. It re-popularized the mafia genre, introduced audiences to now leading actors in Diane Keaton and Al Pacino and captivated audiences with its criminal-familial plotline. It is a bastion of popular culture and has successfully incorporated religion as a major plot device. From the name of the film to the baptism scene at its end, Director Francis Ford Coppola ingeniously manipulated a core sacrament in Roman Catholicism to show the moral decline of the movie’s antihero Michael Corleone. Through his blatant disregard for human life in the form of a timed mass execution whilst simultaneously acting as godfather to the son of his sister, Pacino and Coppola were able to use religious custom in popular culture to serve as a powerful way to emphasize the lengths he would go to assert dominance, even while stood at the foot of an altar in Old St. Patrick’s Cathedral.

Quote
Over the years, I’ve watched The Godfather more times than I can count. It is, without a doubt, a crown jewel of American cinema. No matter how many times I see it, though, there’s one part I can never make it through without getting a little lump in my throat. That’s because with each viewing, I become more convinced that had Sonny Corleone been driving a car equipped with E-ZPass, he would still be alive today. You recall the iconic scene: With tensions rising between the Five Families, a trap is laid for Sonny, who, shortly after handing a bill to a man behind a tollbooth, is brutally gunned down by rival gangsters. It’s a hard two minutes for anyone to watch, but for me, the chief executive of a multistate electronic toll-collection system, it’s especially tough. You see, with an E-ZPass transponder affixed to the windshield of his vehicle, the eldest son of the Corleone family likely wouldn’t have had to slow down past 10 miles per hour, let alone come to a complete stop as he passed through the toll plaza. Nor would he have had to pay his toll in cash and wait around for his change. No, at a participating E-ZPass facility he would have quickly and comfortably passed through the collection booth, living to see another day. The ease and convenience of E-ZPass would have saved his life. End of story. Watching Emilio Barzini’s foot soldiers open fire and riddle Sonny’s body with bullets, all I can think about is how by registering his 1941 Lincoln Continental with E-ZPass, the young Corleone scion would have been granted access to a specially marked lane where any amount he owed would have been transferred instantaneously from a prepaid account of his choosing. Talk about convenient. Then, regardless of whether he had opted for the E-ZPass Basic or Commuter plan, Sandra Corleone might not have become a widow, Connie might have had the support she needed to move past Carlo’s transgressions rather than suffering a complete mental breakdown following his garroting, and Tattaglia would have lacked the leverage to push Vito into sanctioning heroin distribution in the tristate area. Simple as that. Everyone’s happy. And yes, while it’s true E-ZPass customers in New York must pay a $6 annual fee for their monthly billing statements, surely that is far less than the toll the Corleones paid in blood. Just imagine if Sonny could have kept driving past those hitmen and had access to dedicated E-ZPass lanes in 15 participating states. He could have traveled as far as North Carolina, Illinois, or Maine and found a place to lie low for a while, thanks to a system that now has more than 24 million transponders in use and collects more than $9 billion in annual toll revenues! And if Sonny had survived to succeed his father as don, one cannot help but assume that Michael—who never wanted the life of a mafioso for himself—would not have felt the weight of the family crown on his head and, while his older brother continued to take advantage of the generous E-ZPass discount offered at all MTA-managed bridges and tunnels, would have gone on to the life of public service he seemed destined to lead in his youth. Governor, or perhaps Senator, Corleone. You have to believe that Vito’s dreams for young Michael might have come true if Sonny had been freed from the hassle of rummaging through his pockets for cash at that tollgate—an annoyance we commuters know all too well. Additionally, with E-ZPass, Sonny would not only have helped the environment by doing his part to reduce traffic congestion, emissions, and fuel consumption, he would have helped his family continue its operations in Long Island instead of being forced into Hyman Roth’s flytrap in Nevada—I mean, that son of a bitch was waiting for them the entire time. It’s heartbreaking to consider, but it seems quite clear that if only Sonny had his E-ZPass that fateful day, he’d be the one who carried on Vito’s legacy, there’d be no congressional investigation into the Corleones, and not one prostitute would die in Sen. Geary’s hotel room. Not to mention Moe Greene would have been able to finish his massage in peace. Admittedly, not even an E-ZPass could have saved Michael’s beautiful bride, Apollonia. However, I am certain that, had she otherwise managed to survive that car bomb, she would have found the electronic toll-collection system in her new country very convenient once she felt comfortable enough to begin navigating its highways. My eyes well up every time I imagine her, Michael, Sonny, and Sandra driving without any stops or interruptions to Long Beach well into their old age. Though it goes without saying that I wouldn’t have wanted Fredo to use an E-ZPass. I’d never do business with a fucking snake like that.
