ASMR | Elisabeth das Musical - Der Tod x Listener SFW Death Becomes Entranced And Seduces A Lonely Prince
[M4M/GF4M] [Prince! Listener] [Seduction] [Manipulation] [Kissing - no character death, lore here is Death's kisses can kill if it's 'your time' but if it's not they don't but they're still cold and cause temporary frostbite-like symptoms] [TW implies the listener is depressed and has been experiencing suicidal ideation, Death at points advises the listener to kiss him which would kill them, please skip this audio if you think these issues could affect or trigger you and if you are affected by these issues please seek help and contact hotlines in your country. This audio is fictional, Death's attempts to be a voice of suicidal ideation should not be taken seriously nor applied to real life.]
I've been wanting to make this audio for so long. While I've left it ambiguous enough to be enjoyed as an original audio, this character is actually from my favourite musical 'Elisabeth das Musical'. It's a German-language dark queer historical romance where Death (Der Tod) is drawn to those who think about him, in particular it follows the life of Elisabeth, Empress of Austria, and her son Rudolf. The musical does deal with serious mental health topics and some historical events from that time including the rise of fascism so please know that going in, but if you think you can handle such topics then I couldn't recommend the musical enough.
The original 1992 Vienna production is on Youtube with English subtitles, that is my favourite production and means a lot to me as Uwe Kroger as Death is just... perfection to me, very much gender envy and has been a big influence on me and helped me with accepting myself and my gender expression, and his characterisation of Death as this genderfluid, pansexual otherworldly being is just beautiful. And if you enjoy then I'd also recommend the 2005 Vienna production which is also on Youtube with English subtitles mostly for the few extra added song and Serkan Kaya's performance as Lucheni.
For those of you in my Patreon Discord server, I streamed this musical last Sunday in there for you guys and it finally felt like the perfect time to bring this audio to life. And if Kronprinz is still around, I know you were requesting a Der Tod audio for a long time and I hope you're happy with this one. The listener in this audio series takes the place of Rudolf, but you don't need to know anything about the musical to understand these audios. I chose to present them more like my original royalty series audios as Elisabeth das Musical is not very well known outside of mainland Europe and Japan, so I hoped by framing it this way with a photograph of myself cosplaying Death from a couple years ago would entice more people who aren't familiar with the musical.
I love this musical so much, European musicals in general are my biggest interest and if you go searching for them it wont be long until you find my sfw account @emptymasks posting too much about them. If you're interested in learning more I have some masterlists and info posts pinned on my emptymasks Tumblr, but also as part of my subathon rewards I am doing a stream on my Twitch explaining about infodumping about European musicals and I've been working on some video essays for years that I hope to get finished this year that will be up on my emptymasks Youtube channel. I also run @europeanmusicals . If any mutuals or followers from my main or side blogs finds this... well hello there, I find myself nervous to drop this in the euro musical tags, as if people are going to find this format of fanwork weird but well... I had fun, I hope you guys are nice about this (nice doesn't mean you have to like it, but please don't be mean about it if you just don't enjoy asmr or audio content).
Something something if I had a nickel for every time Prince voiced a personification of Death from different fandoms I'd have three nickels.
.
Old public spicy audios on sound gasm (link in pinned post). 2 Exclusive spicy audios on Patreon every month. I also stream on Twitch every week @ dervampireprince . [minors + ageless blogs dni. this blog is for 18+ only.] [do not repost/reupload/edit any of my content]

It’s finally happening! After saying I wanted to do this for months, I’m finally going to be hosting streams for non-English language musicals. Every one of these musicals has English subtitles on (apart from a couple that are in English). I have a little FAQ here about the streams, but essentially anyone is welcome to join, you don’t have to know anything about musicals or have interacted with me before, and there is a text chat you can take part in if you want but there’s no pressure to.
This is the link to the room: https://kosmi.app/nrs5nx. It is open now and will continue to be open, so please don’t misbehave in there between streams. You don’t need to make an account to join, but it would be best to do so if you want to join in the chat as without an account you’ll just appear as ‘anonymous’ and several anons will make the chat confusing. There may be music playing when you join because I’ve set up a little playlist to play if anyone shows up to the stream early you can just chill for a bit with me and some music.
I’ll likely start the video up to 10 minutes after the scheduled time for anyone who is just setting things up or slightly late, but I won’t be hanging around for people for ages. Once the stream starts I will stop it in the intermission for 10 or so minutes for people to get snacks or drinks or toilet breaks. I’ll get everyone to check in when they come back and once everyone seems to be back I’ll start act 2, sorry in advance if I start act 2 and you’re not back yet, it’s hard to keep track of everyone if there’s a fair amount of people.  You can still join in at any time during the stream, the room will not be closing once the video starts, I just won’t be rewinding the video for you.
I have seen a number of these musicals before and some are my favourite musicals, but I haven’t seen a lot of them before, so I can’t speak as to the quality of some of them, but at least a good amount of them I would recommend. Almost all of these are original non-English language musicals, I did put a couple of productions of Jesus Christ Superstar in here that I love and haven’t had the chance to watch all the way through yet (Amstetten Austria 2005 which is still performed in English, and 2014 Sweden). (And I definitely didn’t just add them because I love Drew Sarich and him as Judas in Amstetten 2005 and I think he’s amazing and my favourite Judas and I just want other people to fall in love with him as well). I’ve also tried to put some trigger warnings down but I haven’t watched a lot of these, but the ones that I know contain anything to do with suicidal themes I have noted.
If you want more info on European musicals while I do post about them here I also run @europeanmusicals and you can check that blog out and the posts tagged with #masterlists if you want the information posts. I have this general introduction post that I am still working on remaking into a video essay for Youtube.
The streams will happen every Saturday at 11pm UK time, which changes from BST to GMT at the end of October.
Week 1: Tanz der Vampire 2011 Berlin Production
28th of August 11pm BST/GMT+1 Language: German Cast: Drew Sarich (Graf von Krolock), Amelie Dobler (Sarah Chagal), Anton Zetterholm (Alfred), Veit Schafermeier (Professor Ambronsius), Kai Hüsgen (Yonie Chagal), Goele de Raedt (Magda), Marc Liebisch (Herbert von Krolock) Summary: Professor Ambronsius and his young assistant Alfred are on the hunt for vampires and stumble upon a small village. They suspect that the villagers know more about vampires than they let on, and soon discover there is a castle in the woods where the vampire Graf von Krolock and his son Herbert live. While staying at the inn, Alfred meets Sarah, the innkeeper’s daughter, her father being so overprotective that he keeps her locked in her room every day and every night. Sarah longs to escape her life and has been secretly conversing with Krolock for some time. She’s no damsel in distress, she’s attracted to him and what he offers and so she sneaks out of her home and goes to his castle. Alfred is convinced she has been kidnapped and he and the Professor go to the castle to rescue her.  Things I love: Music by Jim Steinman!! Who you may better know as the song-writer of ‘Holding out for a Hero’ and ‘Totale Eclipse of the Heart). Canon lgbt characters: Graf von Krolock is very hinted at being bisexual, tries to seduce both a female and male character and mentions a past male lover, and his son Herbert is gay. And dance sequences! Amazing dance sequences!
Week 2: Elisabeth das Musical 1992 Original Vienna Production (Proshot)
4th of September 11pm BST/GMT+1 Language: German TW: themes of suicide, depression, anxiety Cast: Pia Douwes (Elisabeth), Uwe Kröger (Der Tod), Ethan Freeman (Luigi Lucheni), Viktor Gernot (Franz Joseph), Andreas Bieber (Rudolf), Else Ludwig (Sophie), Christa Wettstein (Ludovika/Frau Wolf), Wolfgang Pampel (Max) Summary: The musical follows the life of the Austrian Empress Elisabeth ‘Sissi’, but with a supernatural twist. Her obsession with death grows as her mental health declines, as Death falls in love with her and tries to convince her to kill herself so they can be together. He watches her from her marriage to Kaiser Franz-Joseph in 1854 to her murder in 1989 at the hands of the Italian anarchist Luigi Lucheni. (None of that was a spoiler, you find out she dies at the end in the first minute of the musical). Things I love: Mental health: In particular both Elisabeth and Rudolf suffer from anxiety and depression. LGBT+ characters: death can be seen as genderfluid or non-binary, in the original production and vienna revival has scenes where he presents as male and later female, and the original actor has described him almost genderfluid in interviews. death aims to seduce both a female and a male character, and rudolf is shown as being bisexual.
(I’ve put both this version and the revival for the first two weeks. I love the original, I think Pia and Uwe are perfect in the roles. Every Der Tod/Death is different and Uwe plays him beautifully inhuman and mysterious and I find that lacking in some performances. However, the 2005 cast is still good and Serkan Kaya as Lucheni is the best and it has some extra songs. If you only want to watch one of these I recommend the following stream of the 2005 revival, but I’d really recommend watching both of them).
Week 3: Elisabeth das Musical 2005 Vienna Revival (Proshot)
11th of September 11pm BST/GMT+1 Language: German TW: themes of suicide, depression, anxiety Cast: Maya Hakvoort (Elisabeth), Máté Kamarás (Der Tod), Serkan Kaya (Luigi Lucheni), Andre Bauer (Franz Joseph), Fritz Schmid (Rudolf), Else Ludwig (Sophie), Johann Ebert (Young Rudolf), Luzia Nistler (Ludovika/Frau Wolf), Kerstin Ibald (Gräfin Esterhazy), Sigrid Brandstetter (Helene) Summary: See earlier summary.
Week 4: Rudolf: Affaire Mayerling 2009 Vienna Production (Proshot)
18th of September 11pm BST/GMT+1 Language: German TW: themes of suicide, depression, anxiety Cast: Drew Sarich (Rudolf), Lisa Antoni (Mary Vestera), Uwe Kröger (Taaffe), Carin Filipčić (Marie Gräfin Larisch), Claus Dam (Franz Joseph), Wietske van Tongeren (Stephanie), Kai Peterson (Moriz Szeps), Dennis Kozeluh (Edward, Prince of Wales), Robert D. Marx (Graf Gyula Andrássy), Sasha Di Capri (Georges Clemenceau), Martin Pasching (Wilhelm II), Kathleen Bauer (Mizzi) Summary: Based loosely on the book A Nervous Splendor: Vienna 1888-1889 by Frederic Morton. Based on the life of Rudolf, Crown Prince of Austria and his extramarital relationship with Baroness Mary Vetsera, as well as touching on his strained relationship with his father. Their deaths in 1889 at the Mayerling hunting lodge have long been believe to be the result of a murder-suicide pact, though some historians still debate this. It doesn’t include his equally strained relationship with his mother, in fact Elisabeth makes no appearanceat all.
(I thought this was fiting to put after Elisabeth as it’s about the same Rudolf, the same historical figure as who’s in Elisabeth).
Week 5: Rebecca das Musical 2011 Stuttgart Production
25th of September 11pm BST/GMT+1 Language: German Cast: Christina Patten (Ich u/s), Jan Ammann (Maxim de Winter), Pia Douwes (Mrs Danvers), Kerstin Ibald (Beatrice Lacy), Carl van Wegberg (Jack Favell u/s), Matthias Graf (Frank Crawley), Isabel Dörfler (Mrs Van Hopper), Oliver Heim (Ben), Giles (Raphael Dörr) Summary: Based on the novel of the same name by Daphne du Maurier. The second Mrs. de Winter (credited as ‘Ich’ (German for ‘I’) in the musical) falls in love with Maxim de Winter and the two quickly get married and she moves to his large estate in England, Manderly. She soon learns that all Maxim’s staff loved his first wife, Rebecca, and find her quite strange. Non more so than the housekeeper Mrs. Danvers, who’s devotion and love to her former mistress seems to go beyond that of a housekeeper, and seems to talk as if Rebecca’s ghost was in the air around them. As time progresses the nature of who Rebecca was and how she died starts to come into question.

Meanwhile, Frollo, the priest of Notre-Dame, feels uncontrolled and violent desires for Esmerelda. I may find more musicals with English subtitles and more people may make and upload ones with English subtitles so just because the list ends here doesn’t mean there won’t ever be more streams after this. (There’s been 2 updates so far.)
I cannot believe how much time this is lasting?! So, if anything happens in my life that means I can’t still host streams in 6 months time please don’t get angry at me and understand I cannot see that far into the future.
If anything happens that means a stream can’t happen one week, everything will be pushed back one week. If this or anything else happens that effects this schedule I’ll post about it and tag it with ‘#emptymasks musical streams’

About The Blog and Owner
This blog is run by @emptymasks , I'm a neurodivergent trans man who uses he/him pronouns and can struggle with understanding tone so use of tone tags in asks and dms are appreciated, especially so I can understand if you're joking or being sarcastic or not.
This blog doesn't tolerate bigotry of any kind. Any asks or dms sent with any sort of bigotry will just be deleted and the sender will be blocked.
I'm not taking requests to make any particular gifts, art, videos, fics, etc.
If you want me to be more likely to see your European musical content and reblog it to here please tag it with #european musicals I try to check that tag as often as possible.
I only speak English so if you send an ask in a language other than English I probably won't be able to answer it.

What’s your favorite thing/person to draw?
oooooooo favourite thing to draw? this might be too broad but clothes. i love drawing clothes. as a kid i would mostly draw clothes like i would draw one body and then trace that a bunch and just draw and design different clothes for it. i love drawing clothes and coming up with outfits.
person? you know i was thinking i don't have an answer but i think i do because in these last few years he's been the character i've drawn the most, if i don't know what to draw 80% chance i'll just draw him, and that's graf von krolock from the german musical 'tanz der vampire', specifically drew sarich's version of the character. i love the shape of his hair and the little grey streak in it, the collar of his cape, his nose shape,
for proof, here's a bunch of krolocks from the last few years (ft my changing art style) (and yes some of the watermarks say @emptymasks , that is also me, thats just my main/sfw account)
Tumblr media
i've really loved drawing the wolf/muerte/death from puss in boots this year
Tumblr media
and last year, 2022, my go to 'help i cant stop drawing him' character was dream (if you watched any of my magma group drawing streams last year.. yeah he and hob were all i could draw for a while)
Tumblr media
oh.. my god... i didn't actually realise how many times i'd drawn him. and all of that art is from September 2022 - December 2022. damn i'd like to have the drive to do that much personal art again, all that art (apart from the big audio thumbnail art) was just for fun, and all drawn on stream with members of chat in magma. i miss doing art just for fun. i gotta recapture whatever motivational brain rot dreamling gave me.

Notes: An idea given by the people in my weekly musical stream chat a couple of weeks ago, so a prompt given in collaboration by... people I wish i could but I don’t know any of your Tumblr names, but by mojito, kingbrandrick, cal, and meanotherfangirl.
So this is the third thing I’ve written this year. How sad. I wrote so much last year, I don’t know what’s happened to me this year. I’ve found it very hard to get inspiration for writing and then even hard to actually do it. But here’s something. It’s not romantic, it’s not sexual, and it’s not for a popular fandom, and it has trigger warnings. Well done, Damien. You’re really out here giving the people what they want to read. /s /jk
More notes under the cut.
His body didn’t twitch like it had the first time. The real time.
Luigi Lucheni, anarchist, watched as blood dripped down from his hand. Her blood. He swung his body in an attempt to see where the blood would land, but everything was so dark he wasn’t even sure there was a ground underneath him anymore.
He waited for the judge to say something. He waited to her the verdict. But there was only silence.
Was there to be no verdict? He was guilty, he admitted it. But here guilt or innocence didn’t matter, what mattered was why he has done it. Lucheni had assumed if he explained he only explained what Death had asked him to do, had sickly, sweetly whispered into his ear, he’d be okay. This was Death’s domain was it not? And he’d done Death a favour.
But he was still just hanging here.
As his arms swung, they brushed against the file he had tucked back into his pocket. He still wasn’t sure there was anything underneath him, but he wasn’t going to just hang here for eternity.
Cutting the rope above his head took longer than he’d thought it would and he tried not to focus on whatever the effects of seeing and doing all of this was having on him. It’s not as though there were therapists in the afterlife.
He wondered if he nicked his skin if he would bleed.
The last part of the rope snapped from his weight before he could cut it and he soon discovered there was indeed ground underneath him as he smacked down onto it. It took a few seconds before he stopped panicking about if he was hurt, remembering once again that he was dead.
He’d already been dead when he’d had to retie that noose around his neck. He’d already been dead as he wanted to fight against his body, jerking as he thrust his file between the Empress’s ribs. He'd already been dead the entire time he'd had to reenact this depressing play.
And it had been funny at first, to watch the royals and nobles trip and stumble and mess up each other's lives. A would-be empress with a father who ran away and a mother who favoured her eldest, and an emperor with a mother so over-bearing he allowed her to bully his own children. Watching them sometimes almost made him wonder if the orphanage had been better than what parents would do to their own children. And then they'd do something so utterly stupid he'd laugh otherwise he'd cry at how incompetent they all were.
They thought Death was inhuman? At least they made no attempt to hide what they were. All the while Death had whispered to him, Lucheni had never assumed any of it was for his own benefit. He'd never thought Death was trying to help him. But he had liked the idea. He was so enraged at the aristocracy he didn't care who's body lay impaled on his file. They were all the same. Greedy and ignorant and privileged and petty and blind.
Had he felt for little Sissi? She was thrust into some tormenting situations and her wealth and status didn't make her feelings less real. But she ran away from all her problems when she could have been a voice in the Emperor's ear. If she was so fascinated with the regular people why not make change instead of just gawking at them in asylums?
Perhaps he'd felt something for Rudolf. Born into an already sinking situation, taken from his mother...
His mother had named him Louis... When he'd joined the Italian army he'd changed his name to fit in more. His mother's name had been Luigia.
He wasn't sure if he remembered what she looked like anymore.
Mind frozen and yet moving in slow motion, he felt the tears on the backs of his hands as he hunched over his knees before he fully realised he was crying.
Had his actions made any difference? He'd wanted to cause the aristocracy to realise that the lower masses mattered, that they were powerful. He'd wanted to be a martyr. And instead they'd denied him that right and sent him to a cell. Would anyone read his writings? Had they already been destroyed? Had they buried him or burnt him?
They'd remember his name, at least. The man who murdered the beloved Elisabeth of Austria. His name would be forever tied to her, but it would be remembered.
Rebel, anarchist, murderer. Never martyr. Maybe they'd call him a coward. He didn't care.
He didn't want to care.
The man Lucheni stared out into the darkness around him. The boy Louis stared out into the abyss.
With a sudden lurch in his stomach he pushed himself onto his feet. He had the sudden urge to run, run as far and as fast as he could even though he knew there was no exist.
He took a step.
"But why, Lucheni?"
Instead of jumping he felt ice run through his veins and into his feet.
"Why did you murder the Empress Elisabeth?" The Judge's voice rang out as it had for one hundred years.
Lucheni's tongue was thick and heavy in his mouth.
"Was my last answer not satisfactory enough?" His wanted to scream, but his voice was quiet and sad.
"Answer, Luigi Lucheni!"
"I have! I did! Every night for a hundred years you ask and ask and now I am finally granted the power to show my proof of what Death themself wanted. And that still isn't good enough?"
"The hideous murder of the Empress of Austria, explain at last what was behind it."
"I did, I just did. What, should I have used smaller words?" Lucheni shot back. He hated the formless Judge, he hated his pompous, shouting voice.
"Don't talk nonsense."
"How is this nonsense? Were you not...?"
After going through such an ordeal it was hard to recall everything all at once, especially given how all his conversations with the Judge could blur into one but... This seemed too familiar. The Judge's words they were the same as the last time? Weren't they? Lucheni might be responding differently, but the Judge was saying the same things as last time! As though he was reading a script. But why? Hadn't be done what was wanted of him? Hadn't he explained it?
Perhaps he was imagining it. The Judge was still responding in ways that made sense to what Lucheni was saying. Maybe he was just a man, or whatever he was, of the same few words?
"What more do you want of me?"
"What witnesses would they be?"
No.
No.
If Lucheni still had a beating heart it would have stopped.
"What sort of game is this? What do you get out of toying with me?"
The judge did not respond.
Lucheni blinked grey light slithered in, bringing along with it the stumbling veiled corpses of Elisabeth's family and... well not friends, but comrades.
The curtain was rising again.
He felt his body pulled towards the ramp descending from some dark ceiling. It certainly was not the sky.
The wire railing almost cut through his fingers form how tight he gripped it as he willed for his body to do what he wanted it do to.
Oh, is this how they had felt? The rest of these miserable ghosts, Had they watched on as Lucheni danced around them and moved them?
Lucheni started laughing. He started laughing and he couldn't stop. Oh, alright then. If this was to be show, he'd give them a show. He'd make all of their afterlives as miserable and torturous as his own. He'd already been stuck answering these questions for a hundred years, let's see try and cope with a hundred years of the same boring routine.
"You avoid the point, Lucheni. Love. Death. Don't tell fairytales."
His laughs could be mistaken for sobs as he slid down the ramp. He felt the cold before the turned to see the blue glow from above the other end.
Death's pale eyes regarded him. The white clothes really made them look like an angel. But they was no angel, nor devil. They were no god of death. They were death incarnate, death personified.
"Who were you working for, Lucheni."
Was Death in control here? Why would they return for this? Lucheni tried to convey his need for answers with his eyes. Who was the Judge? Was he more powerful than Death.
Was he God?
Was there a God?
Death only said one word. They uttered her name. Lucheni said it back.
Then Death turned and existed the stage.
"The motive, Lucheni?"
Lucheni dragged himself off the floor and smiled, eyes wide and unfocused.
"Love!" He screamed. "Un grande amoure!"

When are you planning to start your streams? Can anyone come?
Okay so I'm going to make this a stream FAQ/Q&A sort of post:
"When are you planning to start your streams?"
Soon!! I was waiting a bit to see how people responded to my last post about suggested times and dates. I'll be making a post soon that will list off all the dates and what musical we will be watching each week and I'll try and tag as many people who have shown interest in wanting to join.
"Can anyone come?"
Yes! You don't have to be someone I've spoken too before, you don't have to be someone who is mutuals with me or friends with me, you can be someone who literally just found my blog yesterday. Sure I would like it if you followed me, but that's also not a rule, the link will be public and anyone can join. You can send it to your friends or family who don't have Tumblr if they want to join, I know some of my Discord friends will be coming along as well as people from Tumblr. But it should go without saying if anyone behaves awfully I will ban you from the room, but I doubt any of you will. I will say as this is open to Tumblr there is a potential for minors to be in the chat so you know don't talk about explicit NSFW things.
Where will the streams be hosted, how can I join?
I host my streams through Kosmi and if you attended my birthday stream of Tanz Der Vampire then you're familiar with it. Kosmi can be watched on PC or Mobile, and it's free and you don't even have to make an account. It's also a website not a PC app so you don't have to worry about downloading anything (there is also an app version though if you would prefer to use that, but I've always just used the website). I would, however, recommend that you do make an account. Without an account you will show up as 'anonymous' in the chat box to the side of the video and if you want to chat and there's 10 different 'anonymous' people it can get confusing. I'd recommend you set up a username before the stream starts. The room will me marked 'private' which means only people with the link can enter, and not just anyone who's browsing Kosmi.
Do I have to take part in the chat?
No! There is no pressure to chat, and if you just want to lurk and stay silent and watch that is completely fine! If I get sucked into what we're watching I may forget about the chat anyway, ha. But the chat's just there if people want to comment on what's happening, react to things, hey maybe make friends I don't know, or just ask questions if you're confused on anything.
What if I'm late?
I'll likely start the video up to 10 minutes after the scheduled time for anyone who is just setting things up or slightly late, but I won't be hanging around for people for ages. Once the stream starts I will stop it in the intermission for 10 or so minutes for people to get snacks or drinks or toilet breaks. I'll get everyone to check in when they come back and once everyone seems to be back I'll start act 2, sorry in advance if I start act 2 and you're not back yet, it's hard to keep track of everyone if there's a fair amount of people. You can join in the stream at any time, the room will always be open and I'll be using the same room for all of the streams which means you can keep reusing the same link and the chat log from the previous nights will still be there. That also means you can peak in between streams so I'm trusting you all to not misbehave with the chat while the streams aren't running throughout the week. But yes you can still join in at any time during the stream, the room will not be closing once the video starts, I just won't be rewinding the video for you.
Kosmi is a really good website and I'd so recommend it! You can share videos in three different ways: screen sharing (but while screen-sharing internet browser keeps the volume, screen sharing programs does not) which I've used to stream Netflix shows with friends, from a URL like Youtube or Twitch or Vimeo, or directly from a file on your computer. Watch party is only one of three functions and while I've never clicked on the other two before there's a small range of games to play and console emulators.
Omg though while checking settings for the room, because I've just set it up, I realised you can also share music as well and I had the silly idea that I could have music running before the streams start for anyone who shows up early, you know like you have in cinema's before the trailers and adverts come on? (At least that's how it is in UK cinemas, they play music until the lights dim for adverts, then trailers, then lights go all the way off for the movie).
My TDV birthday stream went well and people came who I knew and some who I didn't and we all had fun! There is no pressure to talk, but if you want to everyone is normally very approachable and friendly.

Reminder for the stream tonight!
Week 3: Elisabeth das Musical 2005 Vienna Revival (Proshot)
11th of September 11pm BST/GMT+1 Language: German TW: themes of suicide, depression, anxiety Cast: Maya Hakvoort (Elisabeth), Máté Kamarás (Der Tod), Serkan Kaya (Luigi Lucheni), Andre Bauer (Franz Joseph), Fritz Schmid (Rudolf), Else Ludwig (Sophie), Johann Ebert (Young Rudolf), Luzia Nistler (Ludovika/Frau Wolf), Kerstin Ibald (Gräfin Esterhazy), Sigrid Brandstetter (Helene)
Summary: The musical follows the life of the Austrian Empress Elisabeth ‘Sissi’, but with a supernatural twist.

Today is stream day, right? I've been hyped all week about it and I keep rereading the date so I don't get it wrong, because my brain keeps going "MUSICAL! MUSICAL WITH OTHER COOL PEOPLE!", I'm so sorry if this sounds weird I'm just ecstatic about people loving musicals!
know, happy to meet new people, happy to watch with those who know the musical, and those that have never seen it before. I've streamed this Tanz once before for my birthday and it's so fun watching with people who haven't seen it before and see their reactions to certain parts.
Ah Drewlock be beloved. It is almost time to see you again.
I'll post the room link here again https://kosmi.app/nrs5nx , I'll try to be in it all day, I'll have some music playing closer to the time before the video starts for any early-birds. I was good and had self-control and didn't make the playlist 100% Drew Sarich.

Hi, just a quick question about the musical stream schedule! Is there supposed to be a musical on March 19th between adam & eve and Ein wenig farbe? Or is that meant to be a break? I noticed the schedule goes from the 12th straight to 26th. Thanks!
Oh uhhhhh no it is not meant to skip a week, that is a mistake on my part I guess I skipped a row when checking the dates of each Saturday on my calendar. I'll go ahead and fix that, thank you for pointing it out!

Tumblr media
It’s my birthday on May 21st and since I can’t go out and celebrate, l thought it could be fun to host a stream of one of my favourite musicals! I’ve been getting a lot of new followers from my posts introducing and explaining European musicals / non-English language musicals and hopefully this will attract some people who’ve never watched Tanz Der Vampire before. I wish more people would give things not in English a chance.
[Text from above gif: emptymasks’ birthday stream! Tanz Der Vampire, German language musicals with English subtitles. Berlin 2011 cast. 2 hours and 26 minutes long. 21st May 2021, 11pm BST UK time (GMT+1). 5pm CDT/6PM EDT/7PM MDT/8PM PDT]
Genre: Horror comedy romance musical. There’s a little blood as it is about vampires, but no gore and no jump scares or anything meant to be scary. If you like gothic horror or Phantom of the Opera or rock operas there’s a good chance you’ll enjoy this. Or if you just like vampires. TW: Some fake blood and there are flashing lights in a few places. By: Music by Jim Steinman. Lyrics and book by Michael Kunze. Summary: Professor Ambronsius and his young assistant Alfred are on the hunt for vampires and stumble upon a small village.
Did you know Total Eclipse of the Heart was originally written to be a vampire love song but Jim Steinman abandoned the Nosferatu musical idea and gave the song to Bonnie Tyler, but then used it again when he finally got to make a vampire musical? But this is not a jukebox musical. There are 9 songs in this musical that are reused either in whole in or parts from previous Steinman songs, but the other 22 are new original compositions.
There are canon LGBT+ characters! Graf von Krolock (Count von Krolock) is bisexual and his son Herbert is gay. And there are multiple amazing dance sequences.
This is the link to the room I’ll be streaming in: app.kosmi.io/room/47y7kb (can’t post it as a proper hyperlink here otherwise Tumblr will do it’s great job of blocking the post so just copy and paste it) Kosmi is great and I love it because it allows for so many different ways of streaming: from a video hosting website URL like Youtube or Vimeo, by screen sharing for things like Netflix, or form a file on the host’s computer. The only thing with Kosmi is that unless you have an account it will say ‘Anonymous [insert animal name]’ and you can’t edit what name appears so to help avoid confusion in the chat it would be awesome if you could make an account, it’s quick and free, so that you’ll have a username in the chat. But you do not have to take part in the chat to watch with us! You can just sit and lurk if you’d like, there’s no pressure to talk in the text chat.

Hi I’m Damien and I make things!
You can support me through by buying from my Etsy Shop and commissioning me on and donating to my Ko-Fi.
My carrd with all my info and links: https://emptymasks.carrd.co/
Please use tone tags when typing to me (asks, comments, replies, etc), I struggle a lot to with tone and taking things literally, especially with jokes.
Projects I’m currently working on:
Etsy: I have been running an Etsy shop ‘emptymasks’ since 2017 where I sell fanart and am trying to get into making and selling more original art.
Monster Boy Band: A group of characters I’m developing who are classic horror monsters but now they’re humans in a rock band together. I’ve got ideas to put them in a visual novel dating sim game, comics, merch, and maybe some sort of pixel art game... Also I do crossover art for it with @geickogarbage and her Punk Erik from her Phantom of the Opera Punk AU under #poto band au
Phantom OCs: Just myself and a group of others on Tumblr, Instagram and Discord have made Phantom of the Opera ocs who interact with each other. Mine are Armand Dubois (a costume designer) and Ilya Kapnios (principal ballerino). I don’t post their story in any particular order, but you can see things under ‘#poto oc’ ‘#poto ocs’ on Tumblr and #potoocs #potooc on Instagram.
Short Comics: Any other short one-post long comics I’ve worked on.
@dervampireprince: 18+ only (dni on that blog if you don’t have your real 18+ age listed in your bio), over there I do writing and voice acting of fandom characters and original characters (which I do art for over there). I’ve been less active on this blog because I’ve been putting more time and energy into this one. I have a Youtube channel where I post my ASMR voice acting and I also stream on Twitch under this name as a vtuber playing games, drawing, and more.

The Phantom of the Opera is there... inside Friday Night Funkin' | Custom Character Mod
[slight flashing in the first couple seconds of the video]
thank you to @staminaoverlook for introducing me to this game! i have fallen in love with it and bought the soundtrack and i’d recommend it to everyone! or if you don’t want to play maybe at least check out my animation. or maybe even download my erik and you can battle him yourself!
for those not familiar, Friday Night Funkin’ is a free-to-play rhythm game for pc/mac that a lot of people have been making mods for - in the form of custom songs, fully redrawn assets, and/or drawing and animating new characters based on the spirte sheet in the assets folder. and so or course i’m always thinking about phantom and it’s a video game about music... and this happened
and i didn't even realise how fitting the background of this stage was until i was finished. took about 5 hours and it was very spontaneous but i'm pretty proud that i finished a project. though now i want to do more musical characters for the other bosses... but this is my first time doing a custom character/mod for anything ever and i was nervous that i would somehow break the game, but i didn't! also my first time animating something that isn't rotoscoping. so i know it's janky in some places, but for a first attempt i don't think it's too bad
if you want to download him all i ask is that if you use him in any videos/streams/posts that you credit me @emptymasks in the description and in the video itself: gamebanana.com/skins/192246
