Curiosity brought the cat back

An interesting thing happened and I am VERY intrigued. A video popped up on my suggestions and it detailed how to bring Kelvin and Virginia back to life if they get killed. This is especially useful if you’ve done a lot of progress but haven’t saved in a while and don’t want to do it all over again. Video here X

But anyway, I went into the files myself and found the companions stats-

These are my Kelvin’s as per my last save. Look at the last one. Affection

Right now, Virginia has a pistol and helps me defend the base and brings me stuff so I’d say I’ve made good progress on her, but her affection level is also 0. So I’m wondering if, eventually, we get more interactions where we can increase the levels of affection. 

PLEASE ENDNIGHT. I dont care if we don’t get any more story but PLEASE let me reach 100 affection with our best boy.

Ngl, as a moose ridin’, Tim Horton’s drinkin’, hockey lovin’ Canadian, I love that both games are set somewhere around Canada. Love that rep. (loved finding out Endnight is based in canada too, obvs) But also, and I know Endnight made their own songs for the in-game radio so they wouldn’t have to deal with all that nonsense, it just tickles me absolutely pink that you KNOW their radios on the island would be blasting Nickleback at some point.  Like, I still hear their songs all the time, even tho the only time I listen to the radio is at work (spotify ilu), but I always enjoyed their songs. Being born in ‘93, I was there when they started getting dumped on, but didn’t stop me.

I’m gonna be adding Eric to my sims… I’ll be making sure he has a quite difficult, uncertain relationship with everyone. Especially Tim and Greg // Arnold (I keep calling him Greg out of convenience’s sake)

See the thing with Eric that always annoyed me in the game was like,,, Tim, are you aware that your dad downed a plane, killed multiple people, yoinked a random child and shoved it into the Obelisk to be like “welcome back son” - leaving him having to deal with them mutations and trauma all his life?

Sure, what if he never told Tim. Or maybe Endnight just forgot. And I get it, I get it. Bringing back Eric. “Omg that’s Eric LeBlanc from the first game🥺” I get the nostalgia. But like. No. I wanna add in some spice.

I feel like people be forgetting what Eric has done. Sure, he was desperate to save his son after his wife died not long ago, and I know you could attempt to explain his actions and sympathize that way,, but MY MAN. YOU DOWNED AN ENTIRE PLANE. Greg may or may not have eaten a local BUT YOU DOWNED AN ENTIRE PLANE AND SACRIFICED AN INNOCENT CHILD
