I kind wanna see a TotK au where Link's the one sent back & he turns out to actually be a redneck engineering wunderkind.
Like, he just terrorizes Ganon's forces. An absolute menace to them!
All that puzzlesolving had to count for something!
Give me a scene where he realizes that he's allowed to go crazy on the enemy & his face just slowly splits into this large, Grinch-like grin.
Even Ganon becomes uncomfortable.

d.do you ever think about this. he cant be any older than 12-15 when he earns his engineer's certificate. forget the devs notes about the deep v-neck and rolled up sleeves showing off his rebellious side or whatever. my headcanon is that all of the uniforms are tailored to adult bodies, and therefore are too large for Link. the sleeves are too long and the collar sags down around his neck.
