This Manga isn't licensed in english as of today, March 7th 2025, but anyone who wants to read it can absolutely find it by googling the japanese title, "Meido no Koi wa Enma Shidai!".

Synopsis:

Tomari has suddenly been appointed to Enra Hall to be the aide to the King of Hell. A contract love comedy unfolds.

My thoughts:

I don't have much to say about this Manga. It was cute at times, but full of sexist tropes, like Tomari being worried about not being feminine enough because she can't cook well. But, and I think it is super sad I have to say this: there was no sexual harrassment. Yes, there is one scene with Chikage sticking his hands into her dress, but there's a bug (yeah) and he only wants to help her. And she asked for help!

I went in knowing that this was to be expected though and while it sucked a bit, the overarching plot was okay but not exceptional.

Chikage, the male lead, was 90% of the reason I kept on reading. He just didn't care. At all. About anything. An unbothered King, literally.

The Manga is finished with six Volumes in german and has only 36 chapters, so even if one doesn't like it, it's easy enough to read.

I started reading on March 6th, 2025 and finished reading it on March 7th, 2025.

"Y/N. What the hell happened to you?" Your mother says, avoiding the urge to scream at you.

"Mom, I'm sorry... I-" you were panicking and you kept stumbling with your words. And now your mother is mad as fuck. All because of Yang Jungwon. You had your exam this week and the results have been released, and you were sure to be the first place. Unfortunately, Yang Jungwon, he was first. You were so pissed. You swear he's competing with you.

"I keep telling you this... Why won't you stick it to your fucking mind?!!" Your mother, who harshly pokes her finger on your forehead. "Listen to me." She lowers here tone putting both her hands on your shoulders, "You are Choi Y/N. A Choi is not to be stepped on, if stepped hard, we step harder." you could only gulp and nod. This isn't the first time though. Your mother may be strict but her patience isn't short. But if he keeps winning against you, then your mother is going to lose her shit. After Saturday and Sunday, it was time to go to school again, you fix your tie, sighing. 

Your mother drives you to school, "Good Luck." She says before driving off. You sigh as you walk into the school and are greeted by your buddies. Laudia, your friend, exclaims, "Y/N! You look so lovely today- And OMG... Is that a new bag?!?" with her mouth open. You point to your purse and say, "Yeah. It's from (expensive brand)," flicking your hair in the process. You look down at your purse and say, "My mom bought it for me." 

"Girl, your lucky. Your mom still bought you that bag even though you lost to that... Jungwon!" Laudia says, but scrunching her nose when she said his name.

"I know right," you say rolling your eyes and sighing, " But what can I say... I am Choi Y/N. Even if I lose, it won't be forever. I will always win in the end." laudia gives you a nod. You were about to say something until someone bumped into you. You glance at your new bag now smeared with Ice cream with disdain and shout, "Shit! My bag!" You look up to see Yang Jungwon, the culprit who ruined your bag. You push him hard while yelling, "You piece of shit!"

"Y/N I'm so sorry! I didn't mean it- here I'll clean it for you—" pulling out his handkerchief, you slap his hand away. You want to yell at him once more, "You did that on purpose didn't you?" you shout at him with wide eyes. "Get out of my face!"

You sit down at your seat with a frown on your face, he was really getting on your nerves. "I swear he did that on purpose!" You shout while both of your arms are crossed. "Calm down..." she slouches on her seat. "I'll make him pay for what he's done." Laudia smirks at you.

You take your scissors and walk up to Jungwon's seat. Emptying his bag first. "Oh my goodness Y/N! Just do it", she shook your back and said. You scowl at her, "Laudia, what the hell!? You're the one who suggested this, dumbass!" You frown at her. "Hurry! We might get caught!" she says, she was getting annoying pacing back and forth. "Laudia, we are only going to get caught, if we get ourselves caught! Now guard the fucking door!" You slit his bag, The straps are cut off, and you kick them aside. Now that the job is done, you drag Laudia to her seat then you went to your own. Students start entering the classroom "What the hell did you do to my bag?!" a male voice yells at you while clutching his bag. He holds up his torn up bag to your face and says, "My mum handed this to me Y/N." 

You weren't really attempting to deny it, saying, "Literally, you're accusing me? I didn't do that." You said that you didn't do anything to enrage him. It was clear that you were the culprit. You smirked when he frowned even more. 

"Jungwon! What happened to your bag?!!?" His undeniably handsome friend, Sim Jaeyun asked his friend. Jungwon glances at you, and Jake immediately know who did that to his friend's bag. "Oh.."

"Its fine. I can carry my books anyway." show off... He says picking up his pens placing them back in his pencil case, and books.

He smiles at you. it made your heart jump. Shock was evident in your eyes, but you covered it by rolling your eyes.

You swore you hated him. But that smile earlier... There was something about it you couldn't put your finger on. Your day continued as normal when class was over. Currently you are waiting for your mom to pick you up. She fired your driver after he almost caused you to get into an accident and said "she'll handle it herself."  There was no one in the school left. You sigh, why isn't mom here yet?

"Hey Lady..." The security guard of the school calls out to you. "Oh hey...?" you answered the older man. 

"I'm going to lock the school entrance, are you okay out here?" he asks you, "Yeah. Sure."

It has been 40 minutes and you notice the sky getting darker, you got a little nervous. "What if its about to rain?" you mutter to yourself, frowning to the thought.

You bring out your phone to message your mom,

you: hey mom? i'm waiting for you, it feels like its about to rain.

mom: do you have an umbrella?

you: no...

mom: goodness. why didn't you bring one? are you inside the school

you: no. they locked the school entrance

mom: find some shelter then

you: ok mom, are you on your way?

mom: I was in traffic. I'll be there

you: why don't you just hire a driver?

mom: are you stupid? do you remember what happened to you?

you: okokok, geez :,(

At the matter of seconds, raindrops start falling from the sky. "You gotta be kidding me... My hair!" you groan in disbelief. Feeling frustration coming out. 

"Hey" you got startled when someone tapped the back of your shoulder. "Your all wet"

You frown at him, "i know", 

"Oh well.. uhm.." he averts his gaze from you. "Here." He lifts his books closer to you. 

"What?" you look at the umbrella on the top of his books. Since you broke his bag, he had to carry all his books. While on his other hand was his umbrella. You felt... A little bad for him, but you brushed it off, he deserves that for ruining my bag. "hurry and get the umbrella, my books are heavy, you know."

you swiftly grab the umbrella, hastily looking elsewhere. You swear you could've heard him chuckle. You open your umbrella, still avoiding to look at him. "My friend was suppose to go home with me, but his mom fetched him. He left his umbrella."

"Wait. Did you know it was about to rain?" you ask him with slight shock. "No. We always bring umbrellas." your mouth for an 'o' shape. 

"What are you still doing here in school?" you ask softly, a little bit shy to ask him.

"Cleaned the backyard of the school."

"Ah," you nod. 

"By the way.. I got to go," he say, flashing you with the same smile from a few hours ago. Your heart jumped again...

I asked me about Nanao's family, the Ise are not part of the 5 noble families, but rather a smaller family because apparently they helped Multilat the Soul King, maybe it's because of his curse????

Can't find the original post about all this, but... I'm also not sure where this information is coming from? CFYOW doesn't seem to mention either the Ise Clan or Hakkyoken in conjunction with the Soul King, whose dismemberment is directly attributed to the Tsunayashiro. The closest thing to this is just:

“That is the reason why the previous head of the family did not want to carry this zanpaku-to. Enra Kyoten consumes its wielder’s life. The more it is used, the more it will continue to consume my konpaku, and that konpaku will never return. It is a curse similar to the Ise family’s Hakkyoken.”

I have two observations about this that I'm not going to really expand upon right now because I don't feel like it: 1. "cursed" zanpakutō (like Enrakyōten, Hakkyōken, and Muramasa) all feed upon the essence of users somehow (lifeforce drain, killing mates, and madness? respectively), 2. the Ise Clan seem to be a direct reference to the Ise Grand Shrine, as in the woman of the clan themselves are the shrine, which makes their husbands always dying basically a Vestal Virgin thing writ large: Ise women are themselves sacred and the punishment for "defiling" one by putting a dick in them is death regardless of it creating the next generation of them.

Anyway I agree they're almost certainly not the Fifth Great Noble Clan because they have nothing to do with Hell and there were like a dozen opportunities to mention it was them if that was the case. They're "the shrine maiden clan."
