TV INTERVIEWER: I do have to admit to being surprised that your band enjoys biscuits-and-gravy breakfasts and midnight every so often. Is there something about the biscuits used that makes such so--uh, entertaining?

KITTY JO, beaming somewhat with pride: We're the sort as takes some measure of pride in serving only "from scratch" biscuits in the biscuits-and-gravy breakfasts. Admittedly, an old family recipe on my side of things, with self-rising flour, shortening and buttermilk for the most part.

TV INTERVIEWER, slightly stunned: You don't even use refrigerator biscuits?

KITTY JO: No way, no how! Nothing but real, homemade biscuits will grace our sausage gravy; it's just the way we Cattanooga Cats prefer things. Simple. Basic. Southern. But without being too arrogant on the Southern Pride angle such as can cross the line into--I assume you get the idea.

everytthiing has sucked so hard recently from a medical standpoint. I was so fucking anxious trying to fall asleep that i overslept and ran late for my cardiology appointment yesterday and then parked in the wrong spot so i went into the wrong building and an employee found me hyperventilating crying trying to figure out where i was supposed to be thankfully he was so fucking kind let me out a door that needed a key and walked me to where he could point out not just the building but the front door it was so kind i almost cried more.

Then I got to my appointment and filled out my papers blah blah. The nurse portion of the appointment wasnt too bad but the doctor is of course some 9000 year old white guy named Mike. Jesus christ.

He asked me "so... have you always been heavy?" homie if youre trying to ask about weight gain/fluctuation thats NOT HOW YOU DO IT. and when i was like i dont know my GP doesnt have an issue with my weight. He was like youre X pounds and I was like yeah I dunno man I usually ask them not to tell me I have a history of ED's. And he 'joked' that oh he was so goofy and he just said it out loud and "Oh now youre going to be depressed for a week because I told you" hey actually maybe drop dead.

He kept invalidating me and telling me it was just anxiety. The nurse took my initial vitals and stuff and one of the first things he said to me was "Based on this... i dont know why youre here!" First of all, fuck you. Second of all today i googled my BP from my aftervisit paperwork and it says if my BP is consistenely in this range im at risk for hypertension and high blood pressure complications so what the FUCK do you mean you dont know why im here. My BP is elevated and im complaining about chest pain and dizziness what the FUCK are you on about dude??

He also took a phone call... about his CAR??? in the middle of my appointment so I was like lol bye im going to the restroom. Im not going to sit here while you chat about your fucking car. HE ALSO showed me his grandsons youtube channel where he plays Fortnite homie I DONT FUCKING CARE CAN WE TALK ABOUT MY FUCKING HEART

soo he just invalidated me the whole time and then had his nurse do an EKG which... homie that was a less than 10 second test throw it the fuck away it doesnt do shit.

so i get to go back next week and have an ultrasound of my heart and then have an external heart monitor stuck to my chest that im going to have to wear for two weeks.

The doctor also kept comparing my hyppermobility to the one other patient he has that has hEDS. "Well they can touch their palms to the floor." Yeah me too. "OH!!! Wow!!! Well they can reach around the back of their head and grab their chin." Yeah me too. "Wow! Well they can .." literally die its not a fucking competition. I have a diagnosis from a rheumatologist i should not be wasting my fucking time and energy and hurting myself -- bc the cunt wouldnt stop until i bent my thumb back to touch my fucking wrist to shut him the FUCK up -- trying to prove to you that I have the condition i was ALREADY DIAGNOSED WITH in order for you to take my LEFT CHEST PAIN seriously. Im so fucking tired of being a young person they percieve as a woman in pain becasue jesus fucking christ this is a medical appointment not a fucking circus i shouldnt have to fucking entertainn you you nasty wrinkly old cunt.

I had already sketched this because I’m trying drawing every hc about Papà Junpei in a very messy way, but your ask convinced me about finishing this💕, and I’m so satisfied about it because it was hard to make it look decent under my perception, I admit it.

I like this hc a lot too mostly because it’s actually canon since it’s necessary for opera singers to be able to play piano to practice (but also to understand rhythms, tones, fortissimo/pianissimo etc…). Mix this with his enteratining and spectacular side addressed to children…Why can’t he learn silly and simple lullabies for his babies?🤣

Actually I can also see him doing shit with that piano during Christmas. Junpei is an egocentric a$$ and he would love singing Christmas songs to please the whole family and the Frontier group (or maybe Kouji wanted to stay in silence, Junpei, idk honestly. I don’t think he would be pleased! At all!).

This is what he does on Christmas when he isn’t playing Santa or isn’t trying stealing biscuits Izumi would like baking. Unreliable husband but we love you, Junpei.

The Best of British Rock 1990 Blues-Rock / Electric Blues / Boogie Woogie

Lol. Lmao. Yesterday, I posted about a compilation put out in 1989 by budget label Pair Records called British Rock Legends, and I said that while the music's spectacular and was made by some of the greatest rock musicians that England has ever produced, the release is actually nothing but a re-compilation: a lazy and thoughtless repackaging of songs whose source is clearly from one or just a few other compilations.

Well, folks, I got something even lazier today: a re-re-compilation! This particular release, put out by Special Music Company, a sister label to Pair Records that existed under the same umbrella of parent label Essex Entertainnent, Inc., took twelve tracks from British Rock Legends and then called it a day! Easy peasy! And perhaps the weirdest thing about it all is that the releases of both of these compilations are only separated by a single year; British Rock Legends came out in 1989 and this came out in 1990. So, I mean, like, what is even the point here? At least pick some different tracks, right?

But there's still actually one big difference between these two releases: The Best of British Rock has far less Eric Clapton on it. On British Rock Legends you can find him on nearly half of its tracks, but on this he's only on a quarter of them. And AllMusic only gave British Rock Legends two stars, but they gave this thing four-and-a-half. So, what does that tell you? Clearly, AllMusic low-key hates Eric Clapton, not for being a grade-A piece of shit, but for being bad at music. I mean, with these two ratings, they're literally saying to us, "the less Eric Clapton, the better," and that is quite the contrarian stance for a vaunted entity such as AllMusic to take here. But there really is simply no other way to read into this 🧐.
