i can't tell if both the manga and mappa were just being inconsistent w/ heights but cabin AU eremika's height difference seems bigger than normal in both ?? my first thought is 'hot', second is it's tragic bc maybe eren wasn't done growing when he died 😭

I would agree!! Like even in my fics I like to sort of exaggerate their height difference through words but usually I remain faithful to the fact that it wasn't THAT big, but honestly u not gonna catch me complaining i'm LOVING this height difference, like yes feed my small Mikasa large Eren size kink dreams but true, my boy could have kept growing and if that aint pain idk what is 😭😭

Oh I thought of the marriage as a symbolic thing they perform at the end after knowing each other for some time like the whole summer, knowing it doesn’t mean they’re officially married but more of a promise to always stay together. I think the scarf could represent something here. And I mean, Eren is crazy enough to make this “marriage” be him asking her to be his girlfriend, because he’s insane and can’t do it normally. And Mikasa is so flattered and in love she accepts. Meanwhile Levi is one of the supervisors of the boys’s camp and is having a heart attack that they’re missing and almost all the boys are mutineering to help them. Maybe Hange is the girls supervisor and Erwin works with Levi too

I can for sure see them getting engaged 😭 eren gives her a ring he made during crafts and is like, "I will marry you when I am 18 😍".

Honestly, I kind of like the idea of the girls being the ones banding together to help in this scenario. Like, they're all squealing and excited and totally into the fact that Mikasa has an insane boyfriend across the lake. Like, she doesn't really know anyone in the cabin well and feels left out, but the girls (Sasha lol) sneak out to raid the kitchen or something and they catch Eremika together and immediately start freaking out (in a good way). I think they all like Mikasa, she's just hard to get close to because she's shy, so this is their chance to a) bond and b) try to get their own boys from across the lake. I don't know. I feel like there's a lot of potential for shenanigans here lol.

I've seen lots of discussion about Mikasa's chapter 138 cabin dream about how her fantasy Eren doesn't quite look like Eren and acts ooc sacrificing Historia and I agree with a lot of it, but I think there's also something off about Jean's dream about having a baby with Mikasa. Why is Jean an outside observer instead of with his wife and child and why are they dark vague shadows whereas Jean and the outside world are much brighter in the dream? The contrast is even more apparent in the anime. I know Jeankasa is a healthier ship than EreMika, but both became canon in a very unsatisfying way imo; Eren was super cringey ooc and Mikasa died with the scarf of the boy who called Jean a horse face, plus I think the fandom reduces Jean to his Mikasa crush when there is much more to his character.

I never really thought of the Jean dream sequence, but those are some very interesting points. I will admit that at first I kind of shipped Jeankasa, but now thinking about it, it kind of reduces his character to just have them get together especially in canon where the only time you see them together is going to visit Eren’s grave which is why I don’t get why people are saying that she moved on when she still has the scarf Eren gave her and is constantly going to Eren’s grave. Even the bird that is meant to be Eren putting the scarf back around her neck seems to show that Mikasa hadn’t truly moved on. It is probably why in my fanfic I am going to have it so Mikasa gives the scarf to Carla Ymir (Eren and Historia’s eldest daughter) to truly shows that she had gotten over her romantic feelings towards Eren and is ready to be with Levi.

Alrighty some ideas for my wips include:

Arumika wip

- Mikasa was pregnant in the cabin fantasy and when the dream ended and she pulled out her scarf from inside the shirt, she knew that she had lost her child of the fantasy (but didn't know she was pregnant with another one, a real one) this is a headcanon of mine actually, and i think the symbolism is there

- it's a... GIRL (and armin and mikasa name her Ève)

- When Armin breaks up with Annie, Annie goes to Reiner

- Jeanpiku for this one (Jean was the true instigator of Eremika and helped them meet in jail for their sex during the week Eren was imprisoned. He did that because he loved them both as his first love - a little bit of my headcanon in here)

Rivamika au

- They meet 4 years after the war and Mikasa has tried having a relationship with... JEAN (it didn't work because Jean thought that Mikasa was still hung up on Eren while the truth was that she was still hung up on Levi)

-Levi only uses a cane when he's tired but the ackerman genes are the bomb. His hair is shorter then and spiked with white (although he is only 30).

-age gap: settled that mikasa is 18 when she joins the survey cops and levi is 25. Im the time skip, 21/28. After the war, 25 and 32.

- the only ones who knew of their relationship were hange (dep) and gabi and falco (levi told them once) and levi doesn't know that eren knew (but he knew, and he was alright with it because he wanted mikasa to be happy)

- sad/angsty/open ending maybe

I agree the ambush thing lacks substance, but I was drawing inspiration from what happened in the series with Qhorin Halfhand etc. Idk maybe the Night’s Watch gathers information that the wildlings are joining forces and creating an army large enough to surpass. Then the crows reinforce their searching parties north of the Wall, and Eren is a ranger and good fighter, goes with the Lord Commander to crush the wildling uprising by targeting certain tribes. Idk I liked your idea of Marley crew x the 104th, but idk I envisioned Erwin as the Lord Commander? Brutal and effective, ready to sacrifice their lives even if outnumbered. Levi would then be the “King Beyond the Wall” or just the commander of the wildlings, idk?

Anyway maybe the mission goes wrong because the wildling forces are much larger than expected or they got reinforcements, the Night’s Watch is surrounded and defeated. Almost everyone is dead, maybe a few escapes. Idk I just see the parallel between Jon & Sam as Eren & Armin. Armin would be his nerdy loyal friend, who is not a good fighter but a great intellectual. Maybe Armin escapes the battle. But then the Lord Commander tells Eren he must infiltrate the wildlings, gather information, and return to Castle Black with intel. They are captured, and Eren kills the Lord Commander to show loyalty to the wildling cause like Jon kills Qhorin.

With Mikasa I think it would be enemies to lovers but like you described it. She took an interest in him for the first time. Eren thinks she’s beautiful. They start doing missions together because Eren is now “with” the wildlings. But the battle between the wildlings and the Night’s Watch is just endless, unlike in the series, it’s a lost cause for both. They keep fighting and dying but just keep doing it. I mean it’s up to you now I think to decide if they get a moment when Eren betrays the wildlings, rejoins the Night’s Watch, there’s a huge battle on Castle Black and after that they see that what they are doing is pointless and leave. BUT TO ME, I’d rather have Eren realize he doesn’t want a life of senseless fighting and enjoys life beyond the Wall, doesn’t hate the wildlings and wants a life in a little cabin with Mikasa. Like this is the freedom he sought.

Erwin as the Lord Commander is so good. i told you i forget about everyone else with eremika so i didn’t think about that.

i love the rest tho. i love it. the endless war would be good but i think to have a bit of indecisive moment maybe eren wanted to just tell the nights watch, maybe get some of his friends out of it when he came back, but realized he couldn’t and with mikasa going to find him he has to decide whether he can save his people as well or not. nonetheless decides to flee and have peace for once. so maybe mikasa thought he was betraying her more than anything but he’s the one that takes her hand and flee during battle dragging her behind with him.

a good happy ending. 😭😭😭😭 one that we should’ve had.

Ok so, hear me out it might be a stretch but I got some more Eremika and Levihan parallels.

1. Both Hange and Mikasa wear a light coloured suit (beige and white respectively) while Levi and Eren both have a dark one (blue and grey/black) so both couples have opposite colours. Opposites attract, we know it with Levihan (character, cleanness, loudness, sightless eye), but it's also true for Eremika (Eren is loud and boasting, Mikasa is super quiet, Eren struggles to fight, Mikasa is super good and precise, Eren always is on the front lines, Mikasa always follows).

2. As noted by @Diplomaticcat90 both couples have one of them wearing a tie matching to the other's colour. Hange has a blue tie to match + Levi's blue suit, Eren has a red tie that's the same colour as Mikasa's red scarf, not a random red but the same Bordeaux, coincidence? I think not.

3. Both Hange and Mikasa smile A LOT in this episode, Hange's back to their old self blushing at technology like the genius they are, just like they blushed at titans Mikasa blushes and smiles while talking to Eren, I can't remember ever seeing her smile like that, pure innocent smile, trying to make Eren feel at ease and part of the fun moment.

4. This is the last time we see both couples happily together, next time Hange and Eren will be no more, in different moments of course, but still there won't be any more real Levihan or Eremika moments (except for the Eremika cabin dream but those are thoughts) and thinking of this my heart is already breaking into a million pieces.

Anyway this came to mind for now, I might add more if I anything else pops up.

Again, it might be a stretch, but Levihan and Eremika are so full of parallels I doubt it's just mere coincidence.

this one is from my recent cabin au!!

if you follow me on twitter you’ve probably seen me talk about the manhwa black winter (which you should definitely read if you haven’t), it became one of my favorite manhwas and the secondary couple hwaye and muho remind me so much of eremika and there’s a scene in the end (so slight spoiler below) that the scene above is based off of.

basically when i read that scene i 1. cried like a little baby 2. thought of how of how it related a lot to eremika. i think it’s kind of a common hc that canon mikasa is probably scarred from her years as a soldier. i think anyone with scars sometimes feels self conscious about them, and i would think maybe mikasa would at time would too about her own

i also think sometimes the way eren during their youth could be so distant and dismissive of mikasa that may have played into some level of insecurity so i think him reassuring her and affirming his love for her is really important to her and something she needs to her. idk i like to think the cabin is a time for them to talk about a lot of those things that happened during their youth that they never quite had the time to discuss when they were being soldiers.

BUT ANYWAYS im yapping lmao but basically i just really love the scene from the manhwa and i wanted to tie in the intimacy of a bath scene with the scar thing djdjdjdj

It started with headaches. At first, she thought she needed some rest. She worked too hard. Eren wouldn’t let her do anything after that.

Then the weakness and trembling started and Eren wouldn’t allow her out of bed. She felt like she was getting weaker, day by day. 

“It’s okay, Eren,” she assured. “It’s okay.” 

He remained quiet and it was so unlike him. He was grave most days but he refused to let her do anything, even so, she felt her body become weaker and weaker. And most of all for Eren, he was in his final year and there was no sign of decline. 

Until one day. 

“It’s not okay, Mikasa. I won’t let anything happen to you. Not ever…”

i remember bacondestiny’s fic about cabin eremika where eren impregnates mikasa and they thought when he turns 24 he’ll die but no he did not and they kept making babies and then overthink about the next few years bc they all thought eren’s gonna be seeing the pearly gates soon but still he did not and they are living happily together with their 3 little kids aaa that’s one of my comfort fics and i remember that on ur small drabble abt eren thinking of pregnant miki

omggggggg maybe that's the cabin fic i liked so much, bc A LONG time ago i think i read one and I think he met up with Armin and everyone again too and Mikasa pulled up with her like 3 children and I remember liking it so much but i couldn't remember what it was called or who wrote it!
