cursed child broadway year 5 scorbus
the other day i had the absolute pleasure of watching cursed child on broadway!! i sat front row so i was super close to the action and it was incredible!!!
i got to see the amazing joel meyers and erik c. peterson as albus and scorpius and i just wanted to say that their scorbus is SO. BEAUTIFUL.
their dynamic is the absolute cutest and i could not stop smiling when watching them! i posted a small thread on twitter about this and wanted to share my notes i took during intermission and after the show based on what i watched between these two!
i’ll put the points under a ‘more’ button so it doesn’t spoil anything for anyone but tap below if you want to read about joel and erik’s scorbus from my show the other night!
i also got to meet erik after the show but besides the point ENJOY MY NOTES
their first meet was so cute!!! both so shy with each other and honestly very careful but you can tell both of them know they’re making the right decision speaking to each other (side note maya as rose is so funny i love her)
“YOU CAN STAND NEXT TO ME!!!” was SO passionate on erik’s part which contrasted to his scorpius in the train scene which was SO CUTE
joelbus placing a hand on scorik’s shoulder after finding out about astoria and giving him a side hug as they walked off stage ☹️
joelbus looked so hurt and in disbelief when harry yelled at him in the bedroom it hurt me so much
when joelbus hugs scorik for the first time on the train, it’s such a squeezy hug and scorik is very calm and collected whilst panicked at the same time i giggled
THE SLOW MOTION ON THE TRAIN both joelbus and scorik were holding onto each other and joelbus began to fall backwards and it basically looked like scorik was dipping him romantically it was sooooo not straight of them
scorik tried to climb the suitcases onto the top of the train but started to panic saying “albus i can’t!!” so joelbus started to tell him to get down and basically picked him up by the waist and put him back on the floor SO DOMESTIC OF THEM (picture that one dance scene from the little mermaid cartoon where eric picks ariel up if you can’t picture it)
when in the forest with delphi, scorik is SO JEALOUS and when watching from afar he looks so hurt seeing albus and delphi and gives her the biggest glare when he approaches them
scorik was very certain in the edge of the forest scene when he said albus was better. he KNEW how amazing he was and wasn’t afraid to say it and joelbus looked so warmed by his comment
staircase ballet!!! they both just stared at each other for a very long time at the top of the stairs and at the end when their staircases parted, scorik reached out to joelbus :(
the library scene was SO WELL DONE THERES SO MUCH TO SAY!!! scorik’s “TRY MY LIFE!!!” was so painful i genuinely teared up you could see the absolute pain in his eyes and all the bottled up emotions just spilling out he deserved the biggest hug
when joelbus said he wasn’t a loser before he met scorpius, scorik looked absolutely destroyed omg and when scorik said albus was the most terrible friend and didn’t make his life better, joelbus looked so regretful and upset with what he’d done
joelbus’ apology to scorpius was so beautiful!! the gentle voice and the pauses between every line!! when he said scorpius was a light in the darkness it was so sweet!!! when scorik interrupted him with a ‘thank you’ after albus apologised about astoria, it was so :(((
after the apology, they were both so giggly and soft with each other with the most gentle smiles it was so cute!!! and when joelbus pulled scorik into the hug, they really sat into it and when they broke apart, it genuinely looked like they’d been caught doing something wrong
scorik in the dark world needed to be protected omg the poor boy looked so scared all the time
LAKE SCENE OH MY GOD when joelbus emerged from the lake, scorik swam over to him and grabbed his face and caressed it whilst saying the “it’s really you!” line IT WAS ADORABLE HE WAS SO RELIEVED AND HAPPY
special mention to scorik’s screaming fest after jumping out of the lake (“ITS HARRYYYYY!”) it was SO FUNNY he was shaking his body around so violently and was on his hands and knees screaming at the top of his lungs PLS the applause afterwards was deserved
in mcgonagall’s office, as she’s telling them both off, you could see scorik reaching his hand backwards trying to find joelbus and joelbus looked down at his hand and his fingers did move close to his hand but they pulled apart before they could touch !!!!!
the entire beginning of the owlery scene (which is the dialogue from slytherin dorms in the one parter) was so cute!!! they both did not break eye contact and joelbus was so shocked when scorik confessed he changed everything back because of him and thought of him
as delphi was torturing scorik, joelbus’ screams were SO SAD he was tearing his throat apart screaming scorpius’ name and pleading delphi to stop it broke my heart :(((
delphi did the mocking ‘friend’ line delivery and when she said love’ as albus’ weakness and pointed at scorpius, both joelbus and scorik’ locked eyes with absolute shock and fear on their faces and refused to break it until delphi pulled them away
very touchy with each other in the train station scene! scorik held onto joelbus’ arm and touched his chest when talking to him!! and after his little “hello mr station man” bit, joelbus absolutely glared at him LMAO
GODRICS HOLLOW OH MY GODDDD they were always reaching for each other and joelbus even took scorik’s hands in one part when they were panicking
when they hid from lily and james behind the door, scorik stood in joelbus’ arms (one on scorik’s shoulder and the other around his chest) and then scorik turned in his arms to face him and placed a hand on the arm that was over his chest and the other on joelbus’ chest !!!! they stood very close together in that part and looked so comforted in each other’s embrace it was so cute :’)
scorik shoved joelbus after the ‘no offence’ line and they giggled ☹️
when the battle with delphi ended, scorik came over to joelbus and placed a hand on his arm (and i couldn’t tell from the angle i was sitting on bc joel blocked the view but i’m pretty certain they were holding hands as well)
STAIRCASE SCENE when joelbus said the palace line, he delivered it so slowly and he carefully placed his hand on scorik’s shoulder whilst glancing between his lips and eyes and when scorik said “isn’t it?” he reached out to joelbus and they were both leaning in !!!!
scorik began to leave but then stopped, looked back at joelbus, pondered for a second and then ran to hug him and joelbus absolutely melted into it and they embraced each other so tightly and intimately and delivered the lines whilst hugging until “i wasn’t sure” 😭😭😭😭😭
and finally, once joelbus told harry that scorpius was the most important person in his life and harry said it was a good thing, he looked so happy and relieved and began to cry ☹️
another small detail throughout the show i loved was the breathing exercises they’d do together!!! whenever scorik got over excited or worried, joelbus would guide him through a short breathing exercise to ground him it was so lovely
overall, i am so glad i got to see these two as scorbus!!! their interpretation of their relationship is so cute and made my heart melt completely <3

What's wrong with bread? *Insert confused Scorpius*
I love how Scorpius mention how she smelled of and Albus takes a big whiff himself to see if Scorpius is correct.

one thing that erik and alex have been doing since the beginning of their run together is clasping onto each other when they get excited in this scene and then immediately letting go after holding eye contact for a touch too long and y'all. it's incredible. the AUDIENCE tonight audibly reacted to it and you can really tell it's clear that this is no longer platonic

🍂~introduction~🍂
Tumblr media
dearest reader, 🍁 hello!! welcome to my introduction :) 🌱 about me:
🌟 you can call me cory. or coy. either are completely okay with me. and my pronouns are they/he.
🌟 as someone who is fairly new to tumblr, i'm not entirely sure how this place works, but i thought i'd make an introduction post regardless of that, especially considering the ever-shrinking cursed child fandom. 🌟 i like music, art, supernatural, the cursed child and harry potter as a whole (obvi), reading, ect. i created this page specifically for the cursed child (a fan page, basically) so i most likely wont be posting anything outside of it. 🫧 random facts: 🌟 i've seen five versions of the CC play/cast, two on broadway (year five & six) and three (admittedly) through slime tutorials. 🌟 my favorite character from the play is Scorpius (more specifically Erik C. Petersons portrayal of him) 🌟 scorbus. that's all. scorbus. anyways, that's all i have to share. thank you for your time. oxox, 🌷coy🌷

2019 American League Central Preview
Chicago White Sox (62-100) in 2018.
Additions: Ivan Nova RHP, Manny Banuelos LHP, Kelvin Herrera RHP, Alex Colome RHP, James McCann C, Yonder Alonso 1B, Jon Jay OF, Ervin Santana RHP.
Subtractions: Omar Narvaez C (SEA), Kevan Smith C (LAA), Matt Davidson 1B/3B (TEX), Avisail Garcia OF (TB), Ryan LaMarre OF (ATL), Miguel Gonzalez RHP (FA), James Shields RHP (FA), and Danny Farquhar (NYY)
The Chicago White Sox keep rebuilding, but they are going to be somewhat improved this year. The White Sox lineup should be a good one with some well-known names like Jose Abreu, Yonder Alonso, and Tim Anderson. The Sox are waiting for Yoan Moncada and Eloy Jimenez to emerge on the scene. Daniel Palka had a great 2018 and the Sox are hoping for it to continue. He has always had power and it shows up big time in that ballpark. Chicago has a young rotation with Reynaldo Lopez, Lucas Giolito, and Carlos Rodon. Ivan Nova is a nice addition to provide a veteran presence. Michael Kopech is out for the season with Tommy John Surgery, which hurts the team moving forward. The bullpen is much improved with Alex Colome, Kelvin Herrera, Nate Jones, and Jace Fry, If they can stay healthy then the Sox should be a decent team all year.
Cleveland Indians (91-71) in 2018.
Additions: Jon Edwards RHP, Kevin Plawecki C, Brad Miller IF, Carlos Santana 1B/DH, Jake Bauers 1B/OF, Jordan Luplow OF,  Chih-Wei Hu RHP,
Subtractions: Michael Brantley OF (HOU), Erik Gonzalez IF (PIT), Cody Allen RHP (LAA), Andrew Miller LHP (STL), Rajai Davis OF (FA), Melky Cabrera OF (PIT), Edwin Encarnacion 1B/DH (SEA), Yan Gomes C (WSH).
The Cleveland Indians lost some talent from their three-time defending American League teams. They lost some big names like Michael Brantley, Andrew Miller, Cody Allen, Edwin Encarnacion, and Yan Gomes. The Tribe didn’t do much to replace those guys. They added Carlos Santana to replace Edwin Encarnacion. The bullpen didn’t get much for reinforcements. Tyler Olsen, Dan Otero, Adam Cimber, and Neil Ramirez will all have more high leverage roles to set-up Brad Hand. I think the bullpen will be the key to the Indians season. Cleveland also has injuries to Francisco Lindor, Jason Kipnis, and possibly Jose Ramirez to start the year. They need a decent start to stave off the Twins in the division.
Detroit Tigers (64-98) in 2018.
Additions: Matt Moore LHP, Tyson Ross RHP, Josh Harrison 2B, Gordon Beckham IF, Jordy Mercer SS, Dustin Peterson OF.
Subtractions: Jim Aducci 1B/OF (CHC), Jose Iglesias SS (CIN), Victor Martinez DH (Retired), Alex Wilson RHP (MIL), Francisco Liriano LHP (PIT).
Ron Gardenhire got the Tigers off to a decent start last year before injuries and sub-par play plagued the rest of the season. The Tigers lost 98 games and are still rebuilding in 2018. Detroit made some changes this offseason. They non-tendered Jose Iglesias and signed Jordy Mercer to replace him. Josh Harrison will take over second base for the Tigers as well. Victor Martinez retired after a great career, so the team still doesn’t have a normal designated hitter. Niko Goodrum emerged as a star player for the Tigers. He hit 16 homers last year and will play around the whole field this year again. Michael Fulmer appears to be out for the year with Tommy John surgery. Mathew Boyd will need to fill his shoes. Tyson Ross and Matt Moore were added as reclamation projects. The Tigers should win a few more games, but that’s because Ron Gardenhire knows how to motivate his young players. It’ll be another long summer in Detroit.
Kansas City Royals (58-104) in 2018.
Additions: Martin Maldonado C, Lucas Duda 1B, Chris Owings IF, Billy Hamilton OF, Jake Diekman LHP, Brad Boxberger RHP,
Subtractions: Alcides Escobar SS (CWS), Paulo Orlando OF (LAD), Rosell Herrera OF (MIA), Blaine Boyer RHP (FA), Brandon Maurer RHP (PIT)
The Kansas City Royals are in the middle of a massive rebuild after two World Series runs this decade. Alcides Escobar is gone and only a few players remain from those great Royals team. Salvador Perez needed Tommy John surgery and is out for the entire season. That made the Royals sign Martin Maldonado to replace him. Lucas Duda was signed after the Twins released him in spring training to provide some pop in this lineup. Alex Gordon is still on the team and Billy Hamilton is an interesting addition. You think of all the old speedsters for the Royals in the 80′s and now they have Billy Hamilton. Vince Coleman, Willie Wilson, and Lonnie Smith. Billy Hamilton should provide some entertainment for Royals fans. Kansas City doesn’t have much pitching this year. Scott Barlow is a solid emerging pitcher to go along with Danny Duffy, Brad Keller, and Jake Junis in the starting rotation. Brad Boxberger and Jake Diekman help solidify a bullpen with Wily Peralta and Kevin McCarthy. The Royals are in for another tough year in Kansas City.
Minnesota Twins (78-84) in 2018.
Additions: Blake Parker RHP, Martin Perez LHP, Ryne Harper RHP, CJ Cron 1B, Marwin Gonzalez IF, Nelson Cruz DH, Ronald Torreyes IF,
Subtractions: Joe Mauer 1B (Retired), Chris Gimenez (Retired), Logan Forsythe 2B (TEX), Logan Morrison 1B (FA), Johnny Field OF (CHC), Matt Belisle RHP (FA), Alan Busenitz RHP (Japan), Oliver Drake RHP (TB), Ervin Santana RHP (CWS), Gregorio Petit IF (FA).
The Minnesota Twins are poised again to make a run at the Cleveland Indians in a putrid American League Central in 2019. They added big names like Nelson Cruz, CJ Cron, and Marwin Gonzalez to bolster their offense, who lost Joe Mauer and a few others in trade deadline deals in 2018. The offense should have no problem as Byron Buxton looks to get to superstar form after a terrible 2018 season. The lineup is not the question mark, but the pitching staff has some uncertainty heading into 2019. Can Jose Berrios continue to grow as the Twins ace? Can Kyle Gibson bounce back from an E-Coli illness this offseason? Michael Pineda and Martin Perez both looked sharp this spring and might be great additions to the rotation. The bullpen has a ton of good arms, but nothing too great. Blake Parker, Taylor Rogers, Trevor Hildenberger, Trevor May, and Addison Reed should form a well-rounded bullpen. Ryne Harper looked great as a potential long man. If the Twins contend then pitching will be better than we think.
