What about Erin ‘Spider-Gwen’ Hasko — a Spider-Woman who like Gwen Poole is a girl from (a version of) the real world where she was an actor playing Spider-Woman before being recruited by the Web Warriors to become a real one. No powers so to speak of, just three martial arts and some web-shooters she has to be careful with (what with a physique no greater-than-that of Hollywood-trainer-level, which is still pretty good, enough for herself to hold her own): anyway, I feel an interaction between her, the real Gwen Stacy, and Gwen Poole, could be quite fun.
TBH I needed to google her since I did most of my marvel comics reading like a 10 tears ago and wiki says she only appeared in two issues of Web Warriors in 2016. Which may not be accurate but oh do I feel you my friend. Neat little character that had potential that went underutilized. That's comic books for you :<
I don't know anything about her so I most likely won't draw her but I must say
Tumblr media
her suit may be slightly overdesigned (thank you movies influence? i guess) but i really dig the turtleneck/bandana idk-how-to-call-it thingie. It goes nicely with the hood. oh and the pink blue pattern under her arms is neat :3

Okay, so I just found out that there’s apparently another character like Gwen Poole in the Marvel Comics in-so-far as being a girl from (a version of) the real world who enters the Marvel Universe, only she’s an actress who was playing Spider-Gwen in a ‘Spider-Man’ movie in her reality who got pulled into a ‘Spider-Verse’ mini-event, in the comic series ‘Web Warriors’, and her name is Erin Hasko? Should Gwen meet her? Could Gwen meet her? This feels like a character Gwen should meet now that I’ve learned she exists.
WHATTTTTT. Ohmigod its realll. In Web Warriors #10
Is Erin from the same original universe as Gwen. Nah, she's blocked from it. Maybe the place from that one Deadpool/Spiderman comic.
I think Gwen would be super excited to meet her, but I get the feeling that Erin isn't as much of a fan as her. There would be more personal stake in her excitement. But she just wants to fight in a multidimensional war.
Don't know if I'll make anything of this, it's very hard for me to write fanfiction these days, so have this:
---
"Hey!" A voice, much too cheery, jumped out from below her.
Erin yawned and refused to acknowledge her. It was too far below, and she was unreachable on this rafter. If she stayed quiet, she wouldn't be bothered.
"Could you please come down here?" The girl continued, "I'm determined, but not that much!"
"I think she's talking to you, SW." Another Spider-Person told her as if she had somehow missed it.
Erin groaned and pulled her hood down further, covering the mask that was already covering her face, "Shh, I can't deal with more Stacys trying to recruit me for their support group!"
They nodded slowly, like you do when pretending to understand something. Gwen Stacys were a touchy subject around here, with the trail of bodies that shared their names. All this Erin knew because of second-hand gossip. Not that other people understood that.
Something popped in front of her face, followed by a ripping sound, and just inches away from her face, a gash of white void opened up, guided by a long gloved pink and white hand.
Out from it came a blonde girl with rosy cheeks and blue eyes. She blinked at Erin at first before grinning, "Okay, I lied, I am that determined."
"Get it over with." She sighed.
"Right, right." The girl pulled herself out of the gash and set herself down on the rafter beside her, sealing the hole behind her, "So, I heard you're the actress behind Gwen Stacy. And can I just say, I'm a huge fan."
Oh. Oh. Well now she felt like a piece of shit.
"Thank you!" Erin smiled with media-ready bashfulness, "Didn't think I'd get to meet a fan all the way out here. You want an... autograph?"
"Oh, sure!" She agreed, pulling out a white mask for a... ghost costume? Erin didn't question it, taking the garment and fishing out a marker.
"I thought you were going to confuse me with a Gwen Stacy." Erin confessed with a laugh as she scribbled on the tough fabric.
"No way, that's what everyone thinks with me!" The fangirl laughed, "It's Gwen Poole, by the way. So at least they got one bit right."
"Nice to meet you... Gwen." Erin giggled, handing the mask back to her, "You're kinda okay."
"Yeah, you are too-" Gwen began to agree, but then her focus shifted to the signature on the mask, "Wait, Erin Hasko?"
"Uh, yeah? That's why you sought me out?" She reminded her.
Gwen was not pleased with that as she grumbled and stomped her feet, "I thought you were Emma Stone, dammit!"
And then she was vanishing back into her white void.
What a strange girl.

At the same time, Erin Hasko might technically be a good fit alongside Gwen in an adaptation, Gwen having that raw Marvel fandom knowledge and Erin having a better handle of acting tropes, the drivel indication of performances, knowing how stunt work is done: from within the fiction, recognise how that was done as an actress and ‘seeing’ around it with Gwen could be interesting, if the characters were to meet, either in the comics or an adaptation.
P l e a s e write the fic anon. It sounds so good.

Wait, if you’re doing Gwen Poole meets the Spider-Society comics, will you at any point be addressing A. Gwens sometimes being Miles’ future archenemy and B. the existence of Erin Hasko, the Spider-Woman with the exact same backstory except she was an actress?
Lol you are the second (or third?) person that mentions Erin Hasko to me on anon :D Nice to know a niche character has dedicated fans :)
You also may be overestimating my spiderman comics like literacy >.< but since now I have some time and probably will ignore my pile of shame anyway I'd be grateful for recs for both option A and B :)

So has Gwen Poole met Erin Hasko yet? The actress who was playing Spider-Gwen in a movie before being recruited? Since she too would be from a real world and not technically have powers, but would be into the aesthetic?
I'm guessing you are the same Anon that asked about Erin some time back? If not then good news, there is another person that loves her just as much as you :D
All I can contribute here is that if you want her to of course she did. Fanon is free for all ;)

Question: can Erin Hasko be doing a panel at that Komix Konvention? I feel like that could be fun.
Yeah! come on headcanons are free to build on other headcanons an that one just makes sense :D she is an actress as you've mentioned. She can do panels or autographs :)

Wait wait wait. So there’s another person exactly like Gwen Poole: a girl from (a version of) the real world who enters the Marvel Universe, only she’s an actress who was playing Spider-Gwen in a ‘Spider-Man’ movie in her reality who got pulled into a ‘Spider-Verse’ mini-event? ‘Erin Hasko’ Google is telling me her name is? Should Gwen meet her?
Idk man probably? I read the comic once like five years ago and I'm pretty sure they were going to drop her off back in her universe afterwards. Idk if she's even still here.
Her universe's idea of Spider-Man looks different enough from our canon that she and Gwen would probably just bounce off each other in confusion. Which would of course be hilarious.
