1) Describe one creative WIP project you’re planning to work on over the summer.

Probably An Heir and a Throne. Recently I was trying to come out with a chapter every week, but now I have to rewrite the outline, so it's been put on the back burner. I really am enjoying this story though, and want to finish it. It's almost at novel length! Just about 3.5k words to go to hit 50k!

Edit: I also want to draw my dad’s OCs!!! He has quite a few!

2) Rec a book!

On the Edge of Gone by Corinne Duyvis! I read that book so fast. It's apocalyptic sci-fi with a black, autistic main character! It was so well written and such an interesting story. This was the first character I've ever connected so deeply with. I was able to point at the story and say: "Hey, I do that!"

3) Rec a fic!

The Black Swan Pas de Deux by Siege__ayyy. I've been helping to edit it and it's a really great fic with lots of twists and turns, an awesome plot, and great characterization! It's a Hijack/Frostcup fic. (Hiccup/Jack Frost). It's funny: I used to not be into crossovers at all, but the fandom has gotten me into Hijack with its beautiful art.

4) Rec Music!

Honestly, I've been listening to a lot of Astyria. I don't know much about her, save for the fact that I like her music. It's in a weird niche. It's dark cinematic alternative. It's really great to listen to and I get her songs stuck in my head all the time.

I've also been listening to the Elder Scrolls Online score by Brad Derrick quite a bit. It's absolutely wonderful music. My Best of ESO playlist is here.

5) Share one piece of advice!

Don't create for the audience you're afraid of. You won't grow as an artist (this includes writing and such), and you'll lose your confidence and feel down about yourself.

Write for yourself, and the audience will come--I promise. Like, the fics I write used to be seen as incredibly niche, and now I have a huge following! There are people that will love your stories and your art and your gifsets/edits. I promise.
