Bound for the @renegadepublishing Tiny Book Bang. Typeset by @admiraltypress. I brought this typeset as uncut sheets with me to @fantailpress's for a @renegadepublishing meetup where we practiced suminagashi in Rhi's yard. In the sweltering heat, if I remember correctly. I don't think I even marbled this... I remember @marvinhere was in town, I think she marbled the text for me.

Angel-like Vaerafes (Saenvine). The drawing was born very intuitively, based on feelings and energy flows, as a kind of unconscious vision. I wanted it to feel ethereal and unearthly, dreamy, unreal and symbolic, radiating light and warmth, as if these Vaeraf spirits are made of light only.

The idea behind this drawing is also to portray that part of my perception of Vaerafes that still prefers to see them as rather abstract and intangible spirits, beings of pure energy, feelings and dreams, rather than living beings in the usual and physical sense.

Finally got around to scanning a few of my water color paintings that I did last year and also so far in this year. Have no recollection if I ever posted this because I think I made it way before I made a tumblr account :thinking: but, this is a piece I made for an art show during my last semester at college! It coincided with a play that I was performing in, so it definitely means a lot to me.

Definitely want to make this into a print to sell, but for some reason ordering prints is so much more stressful to me than anything else i've ordered lmfao.

My amethyst-inspired mermaid is one of my favorite pieces for sure. This was also the first time I realized my love for purple, I always loved pink but in art, purple seems to be my thing. I also love pastel yellow and blue IRL.
