Breath of the Wild Fanart: Divine Beast Vah Etoya

Note: I found out just randomly googling around that someone else posted a narwhal divine beast with the same submerging gimmick. I swear I was not trying to rip anyone off, it was just convergent creativity.

Shaped like a narwhal, it is a submarine that once rested below the frozen lake of the Anouki but has gone rogue and is breaking up the ice. This prevents animal herds from crossing and makes walking on its surface treacherous, preventing the Anouki from hunting and gathering fish. Link teams up with the Anouki Alma who pulls him along the ice and water while he shield surfs like the fight with Vah Naboris. As an Anouki, she is resistant to the cold and can swim in the frozen water but needs link to fire arrows at it. It has several ports on its body that it uses to fill or expel water to help it sink and float. Link must use ice arrows to freeze the water and clog these ports. It will periodically launch magical ice like Vah Ruta and also disappear below the water and attacks when it resurfaces. Eventually all its ports get clogged and it must surface until it thaws out, allowing Link to board it.

The gameplay gimmick inside is that it can submerge itself and fill water to different levels. Objects and platforms may sink or float depending on their properties, and Link can access different areas based on the water level. At the end is Iceblight Ganon who fights in a partially submerged floor like Waterblight Ganon. Halfway through it freezes the floor, making things slippery and summons sliding ice blocks that bounce around trying to crush you.

Breath of the Wild Fanart: Anouki

The Anouki are a race who inhabit the cold mountaintops and tundra of Hyrule. They resemble a mix of penguin, seal, and reindeer, having rounded blubber filled bodies, squat webbed feet, a paddle tail, and antlers on their heads. They are perfectly adapted to the cold and eke out an existence as hunters and gatherers. They are easy going but have few interactions with outsiders, though often trade furs, food, and woodcrafts with travelers. They are closest with the Rito who reside nearby and can tolerate the cold of their homes. With the collapse of Hyrule, they have become even more insular though are not hostile, they just have few reasons to leave their homes and deal with outsiders. However, recently the Divine Beast Vah Etoya has gone on a rampage and is breaking up the ice on the frozen lake they subsist on. They need the lake to remain frozen so that the animal herds they hunt can migrate across to better feeding grounds, and its activity is also scaring the fish they subsist on.

Note: I tried to invoke the Yeti from Twilight princess in them as well. Vah Etoya is named after Yeto and Yeta from that game.
