Remember the Evangelion Crawfish? I somehow missed that there are now Evangelion Beetles. Has Eva merchandising gone too far, or does it hit just right?

Okay, so my previous post surrounding Godzilla and Evangelion crossing over... turns out there was a bit more between the two than I previously knew about.

So there's this pachinko game from 2022, P Godzilla vs. Evangelion ~G Cell Awakening~, where it starts off with Eva Unit-01 being deployed to deal with the sudden emergence of Godzilla himself. But, before the two can duke it out, the true threat arises: the King of the Angels... King Ghidorah! Being in possession of an Angel Core, Ghidorah has control over the Angels, and his overwhelming aura takes over Rei Ayanami, turning her into the vicious Ghidorah Rei. In order to defeat this great evil, Godzilla and Unit-01 must team up to defeat the three-headed invader.

This eventually culminates in Godzilla sharing some of his G Cells with Unit-01, mutating it into what is known as Evangelion Unit-01 "G" Awakening! This design actually predates the pachinko game by six years, having been released by X-Plus as a part of their 30cm line of figures, alongside the more animalistic Evangelion Unit-02 Beast "G". Both of these designs would even up appearing in the mobile game Evangelion: Breaking Dawn, but only the Unit-01 version would end up in the pachislot game that gave it actual lore, with Unit-02 instead facing off against Ghidorah Rei alone in its normal state.

Geez, now I can't help but wonder if that NERV-developed version of MechaGodzilla I mentioned in the previous post might be able to defeat these Eva-zilla hybrids should they go out of control or something.
