#everyone is entitled to their own opinions

An unpopular opinion in the shifting community:
I personally don't get upset, or jealous, or triggered when I see other shifters shifting for one of my S/Os.
I recognize that they are not the same person. Yes they may share a face and a name, but they are different people in each reality, even if that difference is miniscule.
I make it a point to script out most of my s/os trauma (if not all) and choose a reality in which they are as happy and healthy as can be with our "plot", and I'm not saying everyone should do the same because I'll never tell another shifter what to do in their own reality, but that change guarantees that my s/o is different than yours.
If you don't believe that you are the same person in every reality (personality/hobbies/looks/family/interest/habits/quirks...) what makes you think your s/o is?
However, I understand where these shifters are coming from, and I respect their feelings (as long as they don't go around attacking other shifters)
Everyone is entitled to their own emotions, and we all work through them differently. But I promise you, once you shift, you won't give a flying fuck about what random people from you cr are doing or thinking. You'll be living your best life with your lover in a dream reality and you won't care about this one.
Happy shifting ❤️

hi hello welcome to my blog!
my name's kavi! i'm from india! i'm a writer, and i really enjoy writing for all my desi readers. i've been writing fanfictions only for the f1 drivers right now, but i may expand my fandoms eventually!
i'm a huge fan of tangled and how to train your dragon. i enjoy reading romance. i'm a published author. i have a doggo. i am mentally ill and neurodivergent but i'm bisexual, so it cancels out (it’s a joke, guys. tho, i am all three of those things). i have also added my most favourite playlist if any of y'all wanna enjoy!
this is my prompt list, so y'all can select a number, give me a driver and i will write it as soon as possible! i also have a google form for a taglist if anyone's interested! you can sent in your requests here :) i don't write smut. it's something that i haven't tried writing before, and i am not sure when i'll be comfortable enough to write it, so please don't send me requests for smut! i will be posting once a week, usually on a sunday!
i do want to make one thing clear though. i may be a lando norris, oscar piastri, carlos sainz fan, and i may defend them with my life, but i will not accept any sort of hate for any of the drivers. i will defend all of them with my life. i understand that this is a sport and that everyone is entitled to have their own opinions, but if i wanted hateful comments, i would've gone to twitter. i intend to make this a safe space for everyone. f1 beginners can ask questions if they want, and i can answer them to the best of my understanding. y'all can also just ask me stuff and just talk to me! but, any kind of hate, i will be blocking.

Everyone, it seems, wants a piece of Moo Deng. The baby pygmy hippo is barely two months old and already famous. So beloved on TikTok, Instagram, and X is Moo Deng that workers at Khao Kheow Open Zoo, the place in Thailand where she was born, are doing all they can to keep up with her fans’ appetite for more. They post videos, photos, updates. They also welcome thousands of visitors a day and find themselves having to defend Moo Deng when tourists throw shells at her while she’s just trying to chill.
Moo Deng, a name that means “bouncy pig,” has probably been all over your timeline lately—on Sephora makeup tutorials, on X’s main feed. She was born in July and in the past few weeks has become the Internet’s New Favorite Animal. A tradition almost as old as the internet itself, Favorite Animals—Maru, any of the dogs on the shiba inu puppy cam, those two llamas who just happened to run free the same day everyone was trying to decide what color The Dress was—come into the public consciousness seemingly out of nowhere. Some, like Doge, stick around; others disappear, or simply outgrow their cuteness, within a matter of weeks.
All of which makes capitalizing on their fame a matter of some urgency. It seems heartless to think of animals this way, but if their owners don’t, someone else will. Perhaps that’s why zoo director Narongwit Chodchoi told the Associated Press this week that the zoo has begun the process of trying to trademark and patent the hippo to avoid her likeness getting used by anyone else—a smart move considering Moo Deng mugs, T-shirts, and other merch are already popping up online. Income from these efforts, Chodcho told the wire service, could “support activities that will make the animals’ lives better.”
Moo Deng might need it. Fandom is getting a bit out of control these days. As pop stars like Chappell Roan have amassed online and offline fame, they’ve also had to use their platforms to ask for space from boundary-less fans and stalkers. Social media celebs like Drew Afualo, on whose podcast Roan appeared to talk about the subject, also tell stories of being approached in public by people who simply know them from the internet.
It may seem odd to compare them to Favorite Animals, but the ways in which people feel entitled to their time aren’t that far apart. Everyone wants something for the ’gram, even if that something is a living being with its own sense of agency. One of Moo Deng’s most popular TikToks has 34 million views, and zoo staff have had to limit her visiting time to five minutes on Saturdays and Sundays to keep too many people from trying to get content of their own.
Trademark protections may be the best way for Moo Deng’s caretakers to ensure others don’t cash in on her viral fame. When Jools Lebron made efforts to trademark her “very demure, very mindful” meme, one of the hurdles that emerged was that it’s hard to claim ownership of a phrase. As Kate Miltner, a lecturer in data, AI, and society at the University of Sheffield’s Information School, told me at the time, memes with audiovisual elements, like Nyan Cat or Grumpy Cat, are easier to register. “People will invariably try to make money off of viral or memetic content, as we've seen time and again,” Miltner says when asked about trademarking the baby hippo, adding that the Cincinnati Zoo has already done this with Fiona the Hippo. “It's smart of the Khao Kheow Open Zoo to (at least try to) ensure that they’re the ones that do so.”
Lebron seems to be figuring out how to market her moment, and Moo Deng’s keepers seem to be doing the same. Being online in 2024 means living in a state of near-constant vulnerability. You could get hacked or turned into a humiliating deepfake. Having a public opinion on a video game or The Acolyte could turn your mentions into a hellscape. And that’s what happens to filthy casuals. When you’re an ascending pop star or a baby hippo the weak spots multiply, because the world always seems hungry for more of you. It’s possible to protect yourself, even monetize yourself, but you can lose yourself, too.
Like Boaty McBoatface, Moo Deng was named by the internet. The zoo held a poll on social media. Unlike McBoatface, Moo Deng is a living thing; she’s a member of an endangered species and needs protecting. Moo Deng is more than a meme.

tbh i think cal and andre are equally as bad.. they both mutually agreed and planned together to shoot their school up together so i think trying to rationalize whos worse is kinda redundant and kinda against the point of the film,,, they both have their own personal motivations yeah but those motivations dont make either of them worse than the other,, theyre both equally awful people LMAO just different variations of awful [this has definitely been said b4 but WHATEVERRR!!]

If this sounds like I’m a hater then so be it.
Jude has definitely grown a large ego, i know some of the diehard Jude girlies will argue but that’s my opinion. Every time he’s on the field, he does some type of pose even if he has a crap game. He’s crotch grabbing motion several times, and that cringy “the man in the arena” quote he posted after that Slovakia game which England definitely deserved to lose. I feel like he tries to hard to be confident with a bit of a nonchalant attitude but it doesn’t come off smooth imo 🤷🏽‍♀️

Something that's been bothering me lately is the amount of vitriolic posts that I see directed at fans of something that the OP and the people who reblog the post dislike. It's perfectly fine to say, "I didn't enjoy the Barbie movie," or "I don't think that OFMD lives up to the hype." But many folks seem to be misplacing their aversion to the show and pushing it onto the fans.
I'll see posts deriding people for enjoying Margot Robbie's performance in an hour-long commercial for a doll and mocking them for thinking that she deserves an Oscar nomination for it. But they could have easily said something like, "Personally, I didn't think that Robbie's performance was all that great, and the premise of the Barbie movie rubs me the wrong way." Why did they have to make it an attack against people they don't even know? They're making generalizations about why a person would enjoy the movie and offending people en masse by turning an opinion into an insult.
I don't go searching for these mean-spirited posts, but they find their way onto my dash regardless. (The amount of OFMD posts that get mixed into the Death Note tag makes me alternately laugh and cry.) And I wish that there were some way to block posts based on a specific tone, but there's no shared tagging system amongst them, and I don't want to avoid an entire show just because a few people are being rude about it. I want to be in a little Internet bubble full of people who are kind and respectful about the shows they don't like. There's so much to be anxious and indignant about already in the world. Why do some people want to waste their energy going after fans of TV shows and popular movies?

Unpopular opinion, but I actually enjoyed Season 3. I loved it actually!
Some people have been saying how shows don't do filler episodes anymore that let the characters do silly things, but Season 3 is right there! Season 3 is the "filler" season or the season that is full of "filler" moments.
I don't agree with "the characters were not being themselves" rhetoric, because they can't be perfectly behaved or perfectly moral or remain the same. Even adults like Hopper and Joyce, yes.
Those two bickered and fought like a married couple but for me it was a natural progression. I don't see it as something out of character.
Same with the kids: they were being dumb teenagers and being overdramatic brats, which tracks with that season theme.
Now, does this mean that it could have been better or some things could've been written more favorably? Absolutely, but I really hate how people demonize Season 3.

 Hi TG Fandom!
Okay, so I’ve seen a couple of posts about Bradley calling Maverick “Dad” or not and I just wanted to throw my own two cents in — as someone who lost their own biological parent at about the same age (2-5).
Yes. He would absolutely call Maverick “Dad”. But he would never do it in front of Maverick, if that makes sense? And he’d probably never do it in front of his Mom, or Ice or any one of the flyboys.
But in conversation with his friends, his teachers, in casual interaction with the public and on documents? Yes, 100%.
In his own mental dialogue? Yes.
But, I think he would stick to Mav with the people who knew Goose and the man himself, for their benefit and not his own.
Goose isn’t a person to Bradley as an adult, Goose is someone else’s memory. His father that he tries to emulate from Polaroids and bedtime stories, but Goose isn’t his Dad. His Dad is Maverick. But he loves Maverick enough to refer to him as Mav where the man can hear him.
Just my thoughts 😉💜

Also for the peeps that are saying that Huntlow was left ambiguous or not canon because there wasn’t a kiss or a greater display of affection.
Are you sure we all watched the same finale???Because when I saw those ending sequences all I saw were two idiots in love <3

I personally like the changes in episode 6 because we have seen what happens in the books and the movies but with this new take even hardcore pjo fans get to experience suspense i mean we get to experience something new! idk why some people are mad they are taking creative liberties with the show like why would u want to watch the same thing take place for the third time?? and especially when the creator of the series is the one altering the plot to have it better suited to this gen
