im rlly curious tho, if u dont mind me asking how long did it take?
oh ye it always gives this message when you went through all floors and continue
uhh not too long, first floors are always very fast to do if youre putting effort into doing it quick. i was streaming and fooling around a little, redid one floor twice and enjoyed free haitham whump three times so it was like an hour-ish doing all.
(in the first years i was always very try hard with abyss but rn i just feel tired and old LMFAO so im very chill with it and rlly just mess around and do the barest minimum. basically how i live my life ig)

Yandere Wriothesley encountering his escaped darling (normalized yandere AU)
Connecting with the Yandere Neuvillette and Wriothesley series- Yandere Neuvillette & Wriothesly’s darling thoughts, Nothing You Can Take From Me Was Worth Keeping , I’m Bad But Then Your No Prize Either , post story headcannons, Pankration ring rules, Heartbreaking comparisons, Wriothesley’s darling escaping
took inspiration from this scene from Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes
Tumblr media
Wriothesley’s darling escaped with the help of her mother to Natlan, having nothing but the clothes on her back, a bag of food, her vision, and her father’s guitar. There she encountered a group of traveling musicians, like her, some of them on the run, others just didn’t have a family outside of this chosen on, no where else to go. She joins them and becomes apart of this family, spending nights under the open sky, looking at the stars above as they sing around the camp fire and sleep by each other for warmth, and the days, traveling from town to town, and doing the only thing they know how to, preforming. With them she went from angry, stubborn, and depressed from when she was with the Duke to strong, joyful, and sassy in the best way possible with this family.
Meanwhile for the Duke of Meropide it has been years since he has seen his darling and it was draining on him. He missed her snide comments, he missed her voice, he missed how she would bite at his lips when he tried to kiss her, it was still her touch. While the Duke is draining away his darling is thriving, finding family, and perhaps even love as she opens her heart again to one of her band members, a cello player, and a brilliant young man. So while Sigewinne is worrying about Wriothesley’s health, his darling is miles away kissing another man who actually treats her like a person, who doesn’t kidnap her, but gives her freedom.
It has been years and call them stupid but their groups decides it’s time they explored the world outside of Natlan. So they set out from region to region, Mondstadt (stopping to say hello to the darling’s family who fled there after helping her escape) Liyue, Sumeru, and so on, until they reach Fontaine. The group agreed to only stay there a few days and only give one performance, specifically in one of the poorer parts of the city, as to not draw the attention of the wealthier crowd, they’ll earn the keep plus some and then leave. Then on the night of the performance the darling sits down with her new lover and tells him of the put in her stomach, this feeling she has of something horrible happening. He tells her it’s just nerves and not to worry but she makes him promise that is something does happen that he’ll take the rest of the crew and run, don’t look back.
At the same time as all this Wriothesley gets forced out by the head nurse to get out of the Fortress and to go get some fresh air. So he sets out into the Court of Fontaine and hears whispers as he goes to a tea parlor that a traveling band is passing through. The wealthy women he is listening to scoff at the idea, such lowlife they say, but Wriothesley has nothing to loose so he decides to go watch since it may take his mind off his missing darling.
The performance buzzing with people, families, couples, children, the old, men, women, it’s just a lively environment. Then he hears whispers about how they can wait to hear her sing again, and how it’s been so long since she left Fontaine, let alone preform. The is a feeling of hope in the duke’s mind at this, a foreign feeling to him now and one what he cannot place. He shakes those thoughts away as he stands in the back and watches…
That’s when his heart stopped…
It was her…
Her dusty skirt twirling as she stepped onto the old stage, guitar in hand. She spoke to the crowd in that charismatic manner that she did to everyone, everyone but him. She was talking to her home again, a place she hasn’t been in what feels like forever. He watched as she held her guitar and began to sing, oh the first time he had heard her sing since she taken to the fortress and it was beautiful. His eyes were fixed on her as she sang, the lyrics should be like knifes to him with their meaning but he didn’t care…
Then she saw him, his heart soared…
and her heart sank…
she wanted to vomit when she saw the Duke, wanted to run, to scream, but she couldn’t…
Wriothesley watched as she trembled on her words but pushed on with the song and she looked away from him, her gaze shifting to another man, the cello player beside her, stepping over and pausing her singing to lean over and kiss the musician on the cheek which made the crowd cheer. The Duke felt his blood boil, but he could only silently grit his teeth and watch, starting a scene here would cause a panic…
for now he would let her enjoy her last preformance…
and don’t worry she won’t be dragged to the fortress alone now…
no her whole group broke the law, crossing the boarder without documentation…
is that not a law? Don’t worry he’ll talk to the Iudex of Fontaine about that, the man who’s darling was the singer’s best friend, who she ran with in the beginning and who she would share the same fate with in the end.

「 ✦ Unexpected Traveler Pt. 1 ✦ 」
↳ You were once a world traveler alongside the twins—one being your lover...but that was until you had disappeared from their side not too long after their run in with the heavenly principles. So...what a coincidence would it be if a certain unexpected traveler showed up.
Tags:
──────⋆⋅☆⋅⋆──────
You flopped onto your bed—nothing seemed better than to just be unconscious in a world of bliss and nothingness.
Earlier you had to deal with a stuck up local who commissioned you. Fortunately you were saved by the artistic consultant de Fontaine who graciously invited you for a quick tea and sandwich but it was cut short as your food and drink splattered on your outfit by a bumping local.
So here you were, splat across your mattress, staring at nothingness in contemplation of your life.
How you wished you could go back to your old life..
You started to reminiscence of your previous adventures with the blonde twins—hopping different worlds, exploring their vast lands and fighting off unique and exquisite monsters.
Your eyebrows furrow as your mind drifts to that day—the day where you lost everything, lost them—him.
You remember it so clearly, the night sky with it's stars shining down upon the world, the moon's glow cascading over the nourishing life, though..it all turned red so quickly. Fire spreading, smoke arising from every corner. The world was crumbling, you, yourself included.
You remember, you could still feel it, the way your hand slowly crumbled away into ash. You remember the horrified faces of the twins as the realization sank in. You remember the last time you saw his face as he cradled you before the only thing left was ashes and darkness.
But then..you woke up here. The burning sensation that filled your eyes from the salt, how the world around you felt light yet heavy at the same time..that was until you felt movement from yourself and another. And that's where you met Furina—well, Focalors, the God of justice and the Archon of hydro. Overall throughout your years here, the two of you had gotten close, practically family at this point.
..
Your time of reminiscing was interrupted with knocking from your door.
Quickly getting up you opened the door and were greeted by one of Furina's servants.
"Lady {Y/N}, Lady Furina wishes to speak to you quickly."
.
.
.
"HE'S HERE!?"
Your shouts bounced off the walls of the court room, Furina swore the whole city of Fontaine heard.
She shook her head. "Well, yes and no. Aether's here on Teyvat, yes, but he's not in this region." She corrected placing her head on her hand with intrugement.
"B-but he's here! Holy shit!" You cussed, both hands at the side of your head as you paced nervously. But you briefly stopped, your brows furrowing, "wait..he's here..? Where's Lumine?" You questioned.
Furina raised her brow in confusion, "His sister?" She paused, hesitating as she thought..She shook her head, "{Y/N}...She—...she isn't here, theres no records of her existence here physically, the only thing of her being is words from the traveler." She stated as her brows furrowed in sympathy.
She knew your relationships with the twins. She didn't want to be the barrier of bad news but better to say it now than let it be found later. Right?
She watched as you stood in silence before sighing. "Do you know where he is now?" You asked as she hummed in thought before nodding, "I believe he's somewhere in Sumeru, I heard there was quite a big event there."
You furrowed your brows before shaking your head, "thank you Furina, I need a bit of time to uhh figure all this out." You smiled as she nodded in understanding.
....
Two weeks have passed, you haven't heard much about the Aether only a few mummers and mumbles every once in a while.
You still had hope and your were ecstatic to see him for the first time in how many years? Right..4 years.
You wondered if he changed at all or if he was still the same—like his looks, or persona. Maybe even his relationships? Would that also mean his relationship with you would've changed..? What if he didn't like you anymore—moved on, found someone else? What if-
You shook your head, not wanting to sink deeper into that abyss.
You walked along the shore of Fontaine, your brows furrowed as you tried calming your gearing mind.
"AGH! Why couldn't I have just not turn to dust!?" You complained, throwing your head back as you pressed your nails into your head in irritation but quickly let go as you heard something behind you.
"{Y/N}..?"

A carol for the souls.
Tumblr media
Quo; Give a song for a character. (SAGAU)
Characters; Lynette, Fischl, Beidou, Childe & Lyney.
Note; I'm just down bad for Lynette right now. This isn't any sort of character study whatsoever, just a little self-indulgent piece that I wanted to share.
Disc; The opening is a little too long and I can't seem to stop writing long-ass stuff so bear with me.
Imagine Dragon - Natural
It was a special day for Lyney and Lynette. Of course, how couldn't it be when this would be the first time that they were chosen to be a vessel for the Guide? Since the famous rumor of a 'guide' appeared some time ago, Lyney had been excited to see what kind of person they were.
He had been hearing words that those who were chosen had become increasingly strong or their day had been growing better since then.
And some had even met Archons in their natural form. Like, how crazy was that?! This supposed divine 'guide' could somehow elicit even the involvement of Archons themselves.
Apparently, some had been theorizing that this 'guide' might even be some sort of higher being. Something higher than that of Archons, gods, or even Celestia. It was such a horrendous thought but some were inclined to believe that.
Well, Lyney wasn't going to judge them on their views. To each of their own, he would say. All that aside, Lyney was excited to know what kind of person the Guide was.
Lynette, on the other hand, could not share the same feeling as her twin brother. As much as she wanted to see the benefit behind this supposed 'chosen' status, Lynette would only sigh every time she thought of it.
Contrary to popular belief, Lynette could not care whether she was chosen or something. She just wanted to go on with her life, undisturbed, thankfully. But with this… 'guide', Lynette found herself going out of her comfort zone, meeting other 'chosen' ones, exploring as well as fighting creatures she never even knew existed.
There was certainly a lot of traveling. Going to nations she never thought of visiting, like Monstadt or Inazuma. Lynette doesn't dwell too much on that mechanic as she certainly enjoyed all the traveling. Although she absolutely felt annoyed when she was taken to fight another 'boss.'
Meeting other 'chosen' people wasn't as bad as she thought it would be. Certainly, she knew that there were a lot more of them but she was quite satisfied with those she teamed up with.
There was the tall man with bright red hair who wielded a claymore and a pyro vision. He was a Monstadt citizen. He was exceptionally strong and wielded his flames with expertise. He was not one for little talks so the quiet atmosphere was something she was grateful for.
Another one was a shorter man with darker blue hair, who was a fennec fox. His expertise in nature and botany was quite interesting. Lynette enjoyed his presence, it was soothing in a way. His origin was that of Sumeru, evident during their venture in that region.
There was also an Inazuman woman who wore a mask. She was the 'healer' of their team and Lynette found herself more grateful than she could count because there were definitely so many close calls. She was also not a talker, only speaking out of concern whenever their fights got too hard.
Lynette found her time with these three quite endearing, going as much as she would even say that she looked forward to more hangouts with them. It was out of character for her to say such a thing but Lynette figured that the new experiences were beneficial in their own way.
And Lyney had been chastising her to go outside more, especially when he started going on other adventures with other 'chosen' ones, whom all he spoke of in high regard.
Even if it took away her tea time, for Archon's sake.
And today was no different, but this time she was teamed with an entirely different roster of new people. Lynette could feel her introverted self dying little by little on the inside, despite the blank look she wore. All of them were talkative.
The Liyuen woman wearing an eyepatch with a boisterous laugh introduced her as 'Beidou.' Lynette's first impression of her was that she was strong. She wielded her claymore like nothing, something Lynette would never dream of doing so.
The second person was a blonde-haired girl (younger than her) who was accompanied by her talking raven. Lynette finally caught her name in her long paragraphs of words.
And Archons, does Fischl talk.
The last one was the 11th Fatui Harbinger. Lynette almost lost control of her expression if she hadn't looked away from the man's weird smile. It was an unforeseen event, one that she wanted to end right there and then. Despite her knowledge of the man's status, Lord Tarta– Childe was a tolerable person.
They called themselves the Tazer-tag-Team or TtT, for short. Lynette still doesn't see the point of that but she went on with it.
Despite her thoughts, the four of them worked quite well together.
And it was during one of their breaks by Windrise that all of them noticed the sudden quiet ambiance settling in. Since the day Lynette had become a 'chosen' one, she had a lot more awareness than the average person does not.
For example, the soothing music that lingered in the background. It changes whenever they fight, turning more intense and upbeat. Or when they were in a different region, the music catered to fit the aesthetic of certain regions.
It was fascinating.
But there was also a time when that music disappeared, replaced by other music. Music that Lynette didn't even know existed.
And this one, Lynette did not want to know existed.
Will you hold the line
When every one of them has given up and given in? Tell me
In this house of mine
At first, Lynette didn't react. She didn't need to when it was just another type of music she had never heard of. The other 'chosen' ones also didn't give much of a reaction, only a surprised hum by Fischl.
Nothing ever comes without a consequence or cost, tell me
Will the stars align?
Will heaven step in? Will it save us from our sins, will it?
Her ears twitched and Lynette doesn't know why. The song sounded intense, starting with a firm storytelling voice of a man.
Cause this house of mine stands strong,
Something inside Lynette's chest burnt. It didn't seem like only she was affected because the 11th Fatui Harbinger flinched slightly, trying to keep the smile on his face steady.
That's the price you pay,
Leave behind your heart and cast away,
The waves of thoughts came crashing into Lynette within seconds. She's reminded of her days with her family, happy and blissful in ignorance.
Until everything burnt down, leaving only her and Lyney beneath the ashes of the aftermath. Everything was vivid and blurry after that, in those days when they had to learn what the world truly meant.
The cost of prices that they never wanted to pay for. That they never asked for.
Just another product of today,
Rather be the hunter than the prey,
Another person, another child in this world that forsaken them. A byproduct of what reality can give to living beings. All those hopes and dreams were trampled by desires.
And you're standing on the edge face up,
'Cause you're a natural,
A beating heart of stone,
You gotta be so cold,
To make it in this world,
Yeah, you're a natural,
Living your life cutthroat,
You gotta be so cold,
Yeah, you're a natural
Unfair. An unfair world pressed down by unfair individuals where standards and society kept stirring a pot of tea with too much salt in it.
Through her days of living with her brother, Lynette had learned to not show. To not show a single thing. Not a thought, not a word, not an expression, nothing. Not a weakness. Because weakness makes you weak.
And you won't survive if you're weak.
Will somebody,
Let me see the light within the dark trees shadowing?
What's happening?
A question she asked back then when everything fell apart. A small child, ignorant and unaware of the world, not knowing the consequences behind her words.
Looking through the glass find the wrong within the past knowing
Oh, we are the youth
Cut until it bleeds inside a world without the peace, face it
A bit of the truth, the truth
A dazzling curtain that was ripped off, revealing a place in the harsh world that she faced, little by little, showing what humanity was truly capable of through a window that is life.
Lynette couldn't think of anything else as the song drummed on.
That's the price you pay,
Leave behind your heart and cast away
Just another product of today,
Rather be the hunter than the prey,
Is this what this song was trying to tell her? To let her reminisce of the time when even hope felt so far, like it was drowned by the abyss? Lynette didn't want to acknowledge it, she refused to say such a thing.
( But a small part of her cried. Cried to live. )
And you're standing on the edge face up,
'Cause you're a natural,
A beating heart of stone,
You gotta be so cold,
To make it in this world,
Yeah, you're a natural,
Living your life cutthroat,
You gotta be so cold,
Yeah, you're a natural
All those days, all of those days– Where Lynette genuinely wondered if they were ever going to be fine. Despite Lyney's courageous words, she heard more than enough of the cry for help behind his facade. Until they stopped altogether, barricaded behind an immovable box.
Lyney tried not to but she understood. She understood more than anyone.
Deep inside me, I'm fading to black, I'm fading
Took an oath by the blood on my hand, won't break it,
I can taste it, the end is upon us, I swear,
Lynette hid away the strangled sound bubbling up in her throat. The man's voice was deeply haunting, speaking near her ears, as if revealing and stripping everything she had carefully built. Everything that she had built for her and Lyney.
Everything so they could live for another day. So they could make it for another day.
Why?
Gonna make it
I'm gonna make it
It was agonizing. The high note was agonizing. Everything was. The man's voice, the lyrics, the music, the crack in her box, the scar on her heart, the days she remembered, the truth she faced, the days she survived.
Why are you telling me this?
Natural,
A beating heart of stone,
You gotta be so cold,
To make it in this world,
Lynette had never wondered if she ever asked herself whether the days got any better now. Maybe it did, maybe it did not. All she knew was that she was still alive, her heart with a wall as thick as the sea and as thin as her will.
Yeah, you're a natural,
Living your life cutthroat,
You gotta be so cold,
Yeah, you're a natural,
To be a part of this world, to live within it, you need to know how. No matter how unorthodox, how good or wrong you were, if you survived, what was there to say?
Sometimes, you have to throw away everything– anything to make it.
Natural,
Yeah, you're a natural.
Lynette wondered if that's what happened to them. Succumbing to the nature of the world, the reality that stepped on them mercilessly without a second thought.
Lynette wondered if becoming– natural –had ever given them something else.
She didn't even realize how much she had spiraled until a gentle hand on her shoulder snapped her out of it. Her ears straightened and eyes widened, ready to face the assailant– until she discovered it was just Fischl.
Fischl looked at her with an oddly comforting expression, a small smile on her face and a tilt of her head. Lynette then noticed Beidou and Childe behind her, standing with a similar look on their faces.
That of understanding.
Fischl carefully took off her hand, “ Come on, we got the Spiral Abyss to take care of. ” she said, tugging on Lynette's sleeve. The other girl let her.
“ You haven't tried the Spiral Abyss yet, right? ” Beidou asked with a big smile. Then she laughed, “ It's a real mess in there! ”
Childe grinned, a terrifying one on his face. His Hydro blades had already materialized in his hand and Lynette couldn't help the look she gave him. He either ignored it or he didn't notice it. Probably the former.
“ You will absolutely love the Spiral Abyss, comrade! ” he cheered with his Hydro blade raised. Beidou cackled at his comment.
Lynette blinked before she settled down, exhaling quietly. As she followed the three's stories of the Spiral Abyss, Lynette promptly made to not notice of Fischl's hand in hers (and her speech manner), or the subtle glint of the tender glimpse in Beidou's eyes, or the compassionate gaze of Childe's.
And neither of them makes of anything about the tear that trailed down previously.
( She tried to ignore the lingering eyes of the Guide, where she felt the underlying unfamiliarity of sympathy and warmth. )

" fear not death for the hour of your doom is set and none may escape it. " - volunga saga, c.5
𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒' 𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐘 | As a veteran AR60 player of Genshin Impact, you pride yourself as someone who knows the ins and outs of Teyvat, even studiously completing Spiral Abyss every reset, and having 100% exploration to some, if not all, of the released regions so far. Everything is fun and enjoyable, especially since Sumeru just recently debuted so you still have a lot to do!
All that ends though, when a mysterious passerby pushes you off the building of your university while playing Genshin. But instead of meeting your inevitable end, you find yourself waking up in the very world you were addicted to!
It's supposed to be a fun dream, right? Something you could laugh at when you wake up? Right?! So, why is that you were back in AR1 with nothing but a dull blade in your inventory?!
…well, at least you still have those 700+ sunsettias and mints, Timmie's fowls…and surprisingly similar game mechanics you used to merely see on the screen before. But what should you do now? Flirt with the Genshin men??? Good lords...
"Welcome to Genshin Impact, Dreamer. Here, we can show you a happier ever after you've never had before…so, ready?"
𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐘 | In which you somehow find yourself tangled in the start of a web of conspiracies and confusion as the threat of the crumple paper of fate led you to a strange path with two equally strange men.
𝐂𝐖 / 𝐓𝐖 | Cursing, possibly ooc Kaveh and Alhaitham, spoilers for Sumeru Archon Quest, let me know if I missed anything <3
𝐖𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐄𝐒 | This is a lot harder to write because I established a new plot lmao. And because of Kaveh and Alhaitham it was so hard to write them sjakahs. Also, this was supposed to be posted on Friday last night but I was so tired after a whole day doing god-knows-what outside so I wasn’t able to finish the chapter :( Reblogs and comments are appreciated!
masterlist | route 1: argumentum ad hominem | (alternate route) route 1.1: magister dixit
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Apparently, today was simply not your day.
Even before you get the chance to leave the blasted scene you found yourself in, you got stuck in the House of Daena together with two potential suspects of book robbery, one is known for being an academia lunatic and one for being a perfectionist architect. Not that you knew that they would do it, of all people, but at this point, you just did not want to give a damn.
Anyway, flashback almost a week prior after your arrival in Teyvat and before all this crazy fiasco happened, it's not everyday that your rationality won over your desire to earn and farm primogems, you know. It's also a near impossible feat to abandon the quest that could potentially help you advance your AR and even more so in pretending that Cyno is not outside, talking to Tighnari over something you wisely choose not to listen to–lest you might incur more suspicions from the both of them.
Which, in fact, is the last thing you wanted to do.
So, ignoring the questline and the angry red mark of the Paimon Menu, you closed the tab and let yourself fall on the soft bed once again with a dejected sigh. You repeatedly told yourself that this decision was the best course of action and you will have no regrets in this route. Still, you didn’t know how many hours had passed since then–all you somehow perceived is falling asleep, being lulled by the hushed whispers of the people outside and the quiet stillness of the Avidya Forest you grew accustomed to in the past months from behind the screen of your device.
All dreams would soon end. Your hippocampus reminded you, and you agreed. No matter how much this bittersweet reality you found yourself in looks so believable, you couldn’t be far from your own reality…right?
There has to be a way to go back.
That aside, the past four days you spent in Tighnari’s care was far from not being nerve-wrecking, if you were being honest. The fennec therianthrope seems to like hovering around you a lot, fussing like a distressed mother when you do something that he thought would strain your body and passionately lecturing you about the pros of staying in bed while you rest as if you were a poorly disciplined child.
While you admit that he was a great caregiver and it was endearing seeing a former 2D character worries about you despite literally knowing nothing about you, Tighnari’s inevitable tendencies to get lost in his lectures and fussing made your resolve to go back home hardening even more.
Though when the sixth day had passed, you were finally allowed a bit more freedom to roam around. During that time, Tighnari had introduced you to Collei, his student and a trainee forest ranger, and it takes you a lot—and really, a lot—not to bawl your eyes out when you see the green-haired girl. You remember when you used to see Collei in the Genshin manga, she was still so small back then! And now, she is all grown up, cheerful despite her life experiences…and even kind-hearted enough to offer to take you to a visit in Sumeru City along with the other forest rangers to fetch some supplies to stock before the start of the heavy rainy season.
It was also on the sixth day when you found a crumpled paper with the word ᛚᚨᛖᚡᚨᛏᛖᛁᚾᚾ written in all bolds and italics using bright green ink in the folds of your clothes. Although you were weirded out and freaked out why, how and who slipped it there, you decided you did not give a damn about it.
Well, that was until you found another crumpled piece of paper under your pillow when you decided to get dinner with Tighnari and Collei outside. This time, ᚷᛚᛖᛁᛈᚾᛁᚱ was written on it using the same bright green ink.
It doesn't even looked remotely similar to Teyvat's language, as what you've seen in passing when looking at the forest watcher's books on his study table. You have a vague idea what it means, but it was possible that it was one of their ancient languages, too. Since apparently, Alhaitham himself and any other scholars of his Darshan knows at least twenty languages, according to the lore.
But what the hell does it supposed to mean? It gives you the same level of anxiety when you are taking an exam in Foreign Languages. You started to question every motive, every reason why someone would send you, someone not even from this world, a crumpled paper with Earth's Runic inscriptions. Why would they send this to you? Who sent this to you? Do they even know you? A prank, maybe? What do they get from this? What do they want from you?
In any case, you don't want someone out there continuously bullying you, and you don’t have any lawyer here to sue them (unless you count on Yanfei, but that’s beside the point). So, as a last resort, you asked Tighnari if you could join the forest rangers going to Sumeru City because you planned to find your answers, and the possible prankster, in the House of Daena. Plus, you were really itching for a change in scenery!
So, yes, you won't get defeated by the Crumpled Papers of Fate before you could find a way back home!
"—oh, Collei…did I tell you how much I appreciate your existence? How could I cry in reverie for your benevolent acts? Just say the word, and I would do anything for you, you lovely human being."
Collei, probably used to your strange flare for dramatics, giggled in response and tugged your looped arms together. "I just think you need a change of scenery while recovering, and I know Master Tighnari's lectures could be too much sometimes, even if they come in good faith. Especially when you were recu…recu…um, what does he say again?"
"Recuperating?" You wrinkled your nose and Collei modded cheerfully. You can't really blame her for tripping over words, since most of the Genshin characters, especially those with super rich and scholarly background, used to speak formally and use deep words. The first time a curse slip passed your lips about two days ago, you remember seeing Tighnari's scandalous stare as if you offended his whole vocabulary.
It was also a fun way of teasing him. A small payback for all his lectures about flowers and taking care of yourself.
In any case, he begrudgingly allowed you to come see the Sumeru City along with the other forest rangers. It wasn't a long, arduous trek as you expected it to be, despite not using any Teleport Waypoints, maybe because the journey was an eye-opening one (especially when you saw chests and puzzles that you swore you already gotten before) and your group had tried your best from steering clear of any hilichurl or Eremite camps scattered around the forest.
After dropping you off at the Akademiya grounds, Collei and the other forest rangers told you that they will fetch you later after they're done restocking their supplies, you excitedly went inside, hoping to find some sort of lead or help in solving your crumpled paper predicament.
Although Katayoun, the librarian, had adamantly asked for your credentials and permits before she let you borrow any books. Apparently, only students are allowed to have access here, but thankfully, Tighnari gave you a letter that he said would be enough for the librarian to let you inside, should you give it to her.
“—what kind of book do you need, anyhow?” Katayoun finally relented.
“Uh, anything about Teyvat’s ancient language. The one with the alphabet similar to this one, if possible.”
The librarian peered into the two crumpled papers you presented to her, before shaking her head. “Most books about ancient language are strictly available only to students of Haravatat Darshan, and since your permit is from an alumni from Amurta, I apologise if I cannot comply with your request.”
As she said with no room to complain, you had no choice but to pick other possible books to read that were available for you, stomping and frowning in defeat. But just as you sat on a chair in the farthest corner of the grandest library you ever saw in your life (it was even bigger than the one in-game!!), someone walked towards the seat across yours, waving his hand to you to get your attention.
"Hello! Do you mind if I sit here?"
You felt as if you had a sudden epiphany, hearing a familiar voice that made your head snapped to him in surprise. You even almost knocked the pile of books you borrowed earlier when your eyes met a pair of sharp, mystic red irises and a tuft of fluffy-looking dirty blond hair.
You resisted the urge to scream in both panic and excitement as you stiffly shook your head at him. IT'S KAVEH…?!
He coughed to gain your attention. "Ahem, I know it's very unbecoming for a gentleman such as myself but I couldn't help but to…overhear your conversation with our resident lovely librarian earlier. You were looking for books about ancient languages, correct?"
You blinked out of your reverie, slowly nodding at him. "Um, yes. I just need to find some references about…something. Unfortunately, I'm not a scholar from Haravatat to borrow the books I need."
His face lightened up, as if he, too, was hit by epiphany just like you. "Say, Mx…?"
"[Name]..."
"Mx. [Name], did you, perchance, recognise this?" Kaveh fished out something from his pocket and slid it across the table to you. Your eyes widened like saucers when you saw the familiar inscriptions of Runes written into three separate pieces of paper.
"The Crumpled Papers of Fate!" You hissed. "You have it, too?!"
"Yes!" He exclaimed in the same amount of enthusiasm as yours.
"But who the hell sent this?!"
Kaveh shrugged his shoulders elegantly before resting his elbows on the table and leaning close to you. He playfully beckoned you to inch closer as if he's conspiring something with you. "That's what I want to know as well. All I realised is that the Crumpled Paper of Fate is some sort of code that gives us symbolism over something."
Your brows raised in curiosity. "Symbolism?"
"It looks like you got two pieces. Though somehow, I got three." He tapped his gloveless finger on the table, the corner of his mouth turning downwards. "One in my pocket, the other was clipped together with my roommate's book in our living room, and the last was stuck in the door of my room. I even accidentally smack my head—"
"—which proves my point that your eyes are made of marbles if you didn't notice the door in your face."
Both you and Kaveh almost jumped from your seats when a deep voice spoke from behind you. Your jaw dropped when you caught sight of the Akademiya's Grand Scribe pulling the chair on your right side before getting himself comfortable on it, placing the books he held on his hands on the table with a soft thud.
WHAT IS ALHAITHAM DOING HERE THIS TIME?!
You were near hyperventilating near two handsome—and former 2D—dudes that was now glaring at each other. Well, more like Kaveh killing Alhaitham with his glares because the Scribe just leisurely opened his book and crossed his legs, seemingly adamant in ignoring his roommate.
And just like every playable character you met so far, and even the NPCs themselves, these two looked so human and real to someone from a game. The finer details from their designs and splash arts were more highlighted and even the contours in their faces are too detailed to be true.
Your eyes briefly glanced at the scribe's arm, and you inwardly whistled in amusement. Wow, those muscular arms could crush my skull. Lololol.
"Oi, Alhaitham! What in Teyvat are you doing here?" Kaveh asked in irritation, his former cool-ish aura vanishing in the instant.
He ignored Kaveh, his light turquoise eyes, highlighted with orange pupils, looked at you for a second and your breath hitched at its intensity. "...I overheard you two talking about the ancient scriptures and codes from the crumpled papers."
Your brows furrowed. "Huh…do you guys have something for eavesdropping or something?"
He ignored you, too, and fished out three very familiar pieces of paper and slid it together with yours and Kaveh's. "....I suppose this is the reason why you want to borrow books of ancient languages, no? I will give you a hint. All of our papers are written in Runic inscriptions."
"Yeah, yeah, you the great scribe of the Akademiya from the Haravatat Darshan surely knows what it means." Kaveh said, sarcasm lacing his tone like a venom.
You grew more curious. "Where did you find yours?"
"Does it matter?"
You tried again. "And what does the Runic mean?"
"Kaveh's Crumpled Paper of Fate means Ship, Blind, Light—which is rather suspicious, especially given that Kaveh found one of his papers in my book." Alhaitham said in a matter-of-fact tone, tapping his said book, that made Kaveh rolled his eyes in exasperation.
"As a matter of fact, the only suspicious thing about that book," the architect scoffed. "...is that it's being held by a drama queen."
The last thing I remember, Kaveh's Vision is Dendro, not Pyro. Lol.
Alhaitham gave an unimpressed, humourless stare at his roommate's spiteful words and you tried suppressing your laughter, remembering Alhaitham's Oscar-like performance in the Archon Quest.
"Anyhow, back to the topic before someone rudely interrupted me. Mine was translated to Eye, Knowledge and Ravens."
"But what does mine—"
You suddenly halted when a loud thump echoed across the library, and then there's screaming. Before you knew it, several Matra of the Akademiya flooded across the room, startling everyone who was inside.
"A book robbery took place in the library's restricted section. Everyone that stayed in the House of Daena between six in the morning until now, we are expecting your cooperation."
So, that's what happened to your supposedly peaceful morning. You were suddenly caught in the apparent book robbery in the restricted section, and you heard the General Mahamatra was going to interrogate every single person that the Matra caught.
This is not freaking good.
Tumblr media
The prospect of meeting Cyno should be wonderful, right? BUT NO. You were on the receiving end of his job right now. And it's not even close to thrilling at all knowing the side of Cyno working that you honestly, do not wish to know.
Well, at least Kaveh and Alhaitham were with you right now. Though with the way they were bickering nonstop, you suddenly wished you could tell them to shut up.
"Theory number ten," Alhaitham muttered to himself; he was sitting so comfortably beside you as if they weren't on your way to the interrogation room.
"You seriously reached theory ten with your nonsense?" Kaveh bited.
The scribe fished out a notebook from who-knows-where, looking for something. You tried to peek a little, but his muscular arms were in the way and it's embarrassing to inch closer when they didn't even bother introducing themselves to you. "It's possible that whoever sent this has the connection with the three of us—or at least, knows us to some extent. Perhaps wanting to measure our intelligence? For what?"
"Isn't that already obvious?" His roommate impatiently said. "[Name] got their Crumpled Paper of Fate in their own home, we got ours in your dorm, which by the way, only the two of us have access to. Whoever did this surely knew us pretty well."
"This is the reason why you didn't pass in anything other than your courses in Kshahrewar." Alhaitham said. "You always assume things."
"Excuse me, I'm not assuming. I am concluding!" He defended, apparently offended.
"Then don't jump into conclusions even if that's the only workout you do."
"Why you—"
As much as their banter was so amusing to watch, there are more pressing matters you had to know. "But that's impossible. I don't know anyone in this place aside from the Forest Rangers in the Avidya Forest, you know. It's nearly impossible that Tighnari and Collei would do this just to prank us. Though, I always had someone with me, so it's not possible that someone I don't know snuck into my room either…"
"You seem like you always have a witness with you?" Kaveh turned to you.
Alhaitham paused for a second. He blinked slowly, before a subtle smirk slowly pulled from the corner of his lips. "That's it."
"Huh?"
He stood up from his seat. "A witness." He vaguely replied before he went through the door faster than you could blink.
You and Kaveh stared at the door.
Then you two realised what Alhaitham just did.
"Oi, he just ran off without us!" Kaveh exclaimed in anger before tugging your hand to follow his roommate outside. "[Name], let's go before the Matra catches us!"
What in the world did you got yourself into?
Route 1.2.1: Stop Kaveh from escaping. You had a feeling that escaping isn't a good thing, especially since Cyno would probably hunt you down later. What's there to fear when you're innocent, no?

IT HAS BEEN AWHILE HWWKNSHE HOW ARE UUU?
anw! here's a fluff drabble >.<
accompanying dottore to his little exploration seemed a great idea for you. it would be a simple date, trying to find plants that he needed for an experiment. you weren't that athletic and you get pretty tired easily. so during your hangout, you were breathing really deep and like almost out of breath.
dottore knew that you would be tired, so he made sure to bring ready-to-eat meals and a blanket if you wanted to sleep. he also thought that this would kind of be date so he permitted you to come. with no enemies that can attack you both, no guards that will follow the two of you, nor any other priorities except you and the plant.
so dottore searched for a place where you can both sit and eat for awhile. reminisce about the memories you made throughout your relationship. these little peaceful moments with him are rare, so you take the opportunity to give him all the love he deserves aka lots of hugs and kisses, plus words that show how much you love him, and taking pictures using the kamera he bought for you.
the both of you definitely took your time and forgot the plant.

WAIT IS THIS A REQUST. I MIGHTVE INTERPRETED THIS WRONG BUT WHATEVER HAVE THIS LMAO IM SORRY
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If you had half the mind to actually listen carefully to his words, you would've thought it was very very peculiar for Dottore to invite you to hunt for a particularly rare plant he needed for his experiment. And if you weren't blinded by your giddiness to spend more time with him, especially when Dottore himself asked you, you would've found it odd that he would go out to fetch this plant himself and not assign a segment for such a trivial task. It wasn't an urgent need either, it seemed like an excuse to dismiss every other responsibility he has as a Fatui, ignore his unfinished projects and take you out somewhere nice because he simply wanted to.
But you were too excited, too delighted that the Archons had given you a chance to be with your lover. Well, you're technically always with him, being his annoying little assistant in his chaotic laboratory, but being with him in a different region? Now that's quite a thrilling thought! When was the last time the two of you went outside together? Somewhere that wasn't Snezhnaya? You were getting tired of seeing the endless white of the frozen nation, so traveling to a nation filled with greenery and without a lick of snow? You couldn't help but start nagging Dottore to leave sooner, unable to contain your evident eagerness.
Perhaps in midst of your excitement, you hadn't noticed that Dottore never once gave you an irritated glance even if you insistently nagged him to no end. Rather, his features would soften behind his mask, and a small smile would stretch his lips, watching you ramble on and on about what you've read about Sumeru and possible locations where the plant he required could be.
You weren't slow, no, you're far from it. You help in the laboratory and graduated from the Akademiya, then worked in the Fatui to share your knowledge with the Doctor and help him achieve goals that were thought impossible. But for some reason, you couldn't catch on Dottore's true intentions, too distracted, too elated to detect the strange amount of fondness radiating from his form whilst he held onto a basket full of food and necessities, just for you. Only for you.
So when you inevitably got tired from walking, muttering curses under your breath and holding onto Dottore's outstretched arm while you tried to calm your pacing heart, he immediately looked around for a better spot to rest. Dottore can't get tired, not anymore, so he could keep on going without you. But who was he to leave his dear lover alone? Where they can get attacked by anything at their moment of weakness? Absolutely not. Besides, he planned on staying with you until the end of the day, the plant was the least of his worries. Plus, he gets to enjoy your bewildered expressions once you've finally caught your breath and turned your head where Dottore was.
"I... What's all this??" You asked incredulously, tilting your head to the side in confusion to see Dottore sitting down on a blanket he laid out on the ground. Your favorite foods, pastries, and drinks were present on the blanket, which made it look like a normal picnic. "Come and sit, you need rest." His reply left you speechless, blinking at him multiple times as if he wasn't real but you obeyed nonetheless, walking toward him in a daze and taking a comfortable seat right next to him.
Allowing him to wipe away the sweat that formed all over your face and neck with a clean piece of cloth, you could see a small amused smirk on his lips, sharp teeth poking out. You pursed your lips in thought, his hands gentle and cautious as they made their way downwards. It was rare for Dottore to be so... pleasant for once? Grabbing the hem of your shirt, you absentmindedly raised your arms and he pulled it off, then proceeded to wipe off the sweat on your chest and back. Warmth spread throughout your skin, from the tip of your ears down to your bare shoulders, glancing around nervously. No one would be around these parts, especially when the two of you were searching for something that was so rare it was considered a myth, so not a soul would probably be wandering around the area you were in. Though, all your nervousness faded away when Dottore pinched your nose, your attention snapping back towards him as you huffed, swatting his hands away. The corners of his lips twitched, and that was when it clicked.
"Oh," You started, glancing back at the prepared meals on the blanket for you to eat, another bundle of blankets and a pillow inside the basket, and even a Kamera he had bought at some point before entering the forest when you both first arrived at Sumeru, "This was your plan all along, huh?" The corners of your eyes crinkled as a huge grin slowly formed on your face, eyes filled with mirth and, undoubtedly, tenderness at his thoughtfulness. You were extremely touched, it wasn't often Dottore did something like this, especially outside of his lab.
Dottore's hand froze and tensed. While he had expected you to catch on sooner or later to his intentions, it still surprised him when you spoke those words. Yes, he indeed did this all for you. But no matter how much Dottore loves you, it would take a lot more for him to admit such things to you, especially when you were looking at him funny with a smug expression on your face. The grip he had on the now sweaty cloth he had in his hand tightened as he put it away. "Awww, who knew you could be so romantic?" And you just had to run your mouth, "You could've just told me you wanted to have a picnic with me, dear! Did you have to use a 'rare plant' as an excu— oof!" Before you could finish your sentence, something soft hit your face, catching you off guard.
It was a clean shirt that you wore without hesitation, but once your head poked out, his hands immediately attacked your cheeks, pinching and stretching with a scowl on his face. Grabbing his wrist as you groaned, you shot him an unimpressed glare, cursing him, and tried to pull his hands away from your poor cheeks. "Hey! Don't avoid the subject— eek!" You suddenly squealed, then burst out laughing as he began to poke your sides, ultimately rendering you helpless. "What are you talking about, dearest?" Dottore finally spoke with a purr, a smirk returning on his lips. "I'm not avoiding anything."
And as you wriggled in his grasp, Dottore couldn't help but pull you closer to him, watching as tears formed in your eyes from how hard you were laughing, and the way the curves of your face stretched and wrinkled from how big you were smiling. From the cold, hollow chest, he felt warmth. Fullness. Happiness.
A feeling he could only truly feel with you.

I JUST READ "His Daily Need" AND THE DETAIL OMG- I WAS FIGHTING THE URGE TO REQUEST THIS AND IDK IF UR REQUESTS ARE OPEN FEEL FREE TO IGNORE‼️‼️‼️😋😋😋
tighnari (if u write for him) x reader? where the reader gets stuck in vines w tighnari, and they make out? (optional) until one of the forest watchers/rangers idk what its called catches them?
ALSO U GAINED A NEW FOLLOWER 😋
Forest Vines
Sorry it took long. I couldn't stop procrastinating and the 3.1 livestream didn't help 😅 I wanted to write the optional part but I suddenly felt mortified just thinking about it (2nd-hand embarrassment iasdnisidnsd) so I tweaked it a bit. Hope that's okay?
Also, thank you @itsxenanotsena for helping me write some parts hehe
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One of the rules of being a Forest Ranger is to always be mindful of your surroundings. Tighnari has been drilling this in your head, even before when you weren't even one of them yet. And with the surge of Withering regions popping up, it was inevitable that he'd be adamant for you to do so. Unfortunately for him, you're never one to follow rules.
"Now, be careful. This area was just recently cleared of the Withering yesterday. I don't want you touching anything and then having me to save your butt again. Understood?"
You nodded at Tighnari's words, giving him an innocent smile which he returned with a defeated sigh, thinking that you probably didn't listen to a word he just said. You did listen, but it's just so fun seeing him riled up.
"Well, let's get moving you big lummox."
So why exactly are you two exploring it despite the possible danger? Simply because it's one of your duties. Just because you knew how dangerous it could be, doesn't mean that the others do. The goal was to survey the area, note if it has anything weird, dangerous, or harmful in it, if the place needed to be closed off, and see if there's any unfortunate souls that waltzed in and needs saving. Speaking of weird stuff...
"Hey, Tighnari. Is it normal for vines to move like that?"
"Huh? What are you talking about?"
Turning around, he sees what you mean. A series of hanging vines swaying quite aggressively despite the lack of strong wind passing by. They look quite healthy with how green and thick they are. The urge to touch them swells in you. However, before you could even make a move, you were lead away by the a pair of hands on your shoulders.
"Stay here while I look into it." He says, eyes fixed on the vines. You didn't say a word, more curious at what he'll do than your discovery. You watched as he came closer to it, his ears twitching cutely in curiosity, head tilted as he's inspecting it so thoroughly with his eyes. All is well until you see his hand reach up and touching one, breaking the one rule he gave earlier.
Almost instantly, the vines jumped and wrapped around him, not giving the two of you to react anything other than a yelp, before stringing him up like a piñata.
It was quiet for a moment, the realization still sinking in, before you burst out laughing while Tighnari's face turned red, flustered and embarrassed, with his ears folded back. He then glared at you, though it wasn't effective seeing his current situation.
He tried to free himself, but moving seems to make it tangle him up even more, and for some reason, he couldn't use his dendro vision, as if the vines has the capability of making it useless.
"(Y/n), take me down from here."
"Oh? No please and thank you? And didn't you tell me not to touch anything?"
Despite your words, you drew closer, inspecting the vines, and thinking of how you could help him out. Thankfully, it didn't bring him up too high, just enough that his cute pouty face still reaches yours.
The vines itself didn't have anything to explain why it's like that, but a quick look on your surroundings, you see a Sumeru Rose glowing oh so brightly, an indication that there's a dangerous level of Leyline activity in the area. You lit up, already knowing how to deal with it.
Seeing the recognition in your face, Tighnari tried to look at what you were staring at. Too bad for him, his slight movement caused a vine to get activated and somehow made it to slap him painfully at the back of his head, forcing him to face back.
"Motherfu-"
He bit his lip to stop himself from cursing, eyes going back to you who's obviously enjoying his predicament. You could just let him off but-
"I kinda like seeing you like this." Smiling, you reached up, carefully avoiding touching any of the vines, placing your hands on his cheeks, cradling it gently, drawing little circles with your thumbs. You watch amused as his pupils dilate, before he tried shaking it off, trying to stay focused.
"I know you're kinky, but can you please keep it in the bedroom? We have to-to..."
His words trailed off as he sees your gaze go down towards his lips, his breathe then hitching, tail unconsciously wagging. And the smirk of yours didn't help at all. He knows that he should probably stop you, but his rationality flew away the moment you decided to lean in.
Instinctively, his eyes shut close, enjoying the feeling of your lips capturing his own. You gazed at him with half-lidded eyes, the smirk still on your lips as it molded itself onto Tighnari's. A hand went to caress his cheek once more, coaxing him to relax more, and you closed your eyes, relishing in the moment.
‌You went to deepen the kiss, taking a step to be a bit closer, unaware of a vine crawling on the ground like a snake. So you didn't just touch it. You stepped on it.
A squeak escapes you as you get strung up by the vines, body crashing into Tighnari's, eliciting a pained groan from him. Everything went into chaos. Up became down, left became right, and the cycle continued. You had to close your eyes, waiting and hoping for everything to stop moving, not wanting the urge of throwing up to win.
When everything finally settled, you decided to open your eyesm only to find yourself face-to-face with Tighnari who looked so done with life. The vines managed to put your bodies so close to each other that your noses are touching, wrapping the both of you together. Though, his right arm was also somewhat free, seeing as he's now using it to bring his hand into pinching your cheek.
"Are you satisfied?"
He pinched your cheek harder when you gave him a nervous chuckle as a response. But he couldn't stay mad at you. couldn't completely blame you. It was mostly his fault that this happened. With your face so close to his, there's only one thing plaguing his mind right now.
Just as you were about to speak, ready to tell him about the thing earlier, his lips met yours.
'Might as well enjoy this.' You thought as you succumb to the sweet sensation, slightly opening your lips when his tongue asked for an invite.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Collei grew worried and anxious as you and Tighnari haven't gotten back yet nor have any of you sent news about the situation. It's protocol that, after an hour of no contact, a team will be sent out to retrieve them, which now includes her and two others.
To cover more ground, they decided to split up. And luckily, she didn't have to search much. The anxiousness she felt quickly vanished as she was quick to find the two of you, hanging on vines, resting your heads in each other's shoulder with Tighnari playing with your hair.
‌"Master? (Y/n)? Are you two okay?"
"Ah, Collei!" You greeted her with a smile to which she gave small one back. Tighnari also gave her a quick greeting before giving her instructions on what to do. She chose to ignore how puffy you and her master's lips are, didn't dare ask why you both seem out of breath, already having an inkling idea of what happened. For too many times, she even walked in while in was happening. She unfortunately has grown a bit numbed to it.
"Don't touch any of the vines, unless you want to be stuck here with us. Try using your vision on it. Just don't push yourself too hard if it doesn't work." You shake your head no at his words, making the two of them question why.
‌"No need for that. I saw a Sumeru Rose glowing brightly earlier. Collei could just activate the Purification device you made to deal with the leyline problem. The vines' weird reaction is most probably from it "
‌An irked smile was shown in Tighnari's face, his free hand wrapping around your neck, slightly putting pressure in it. If Collei weren't present, you're sure that he'd try choking you, then and there.
‌"You mean to tell me... that you knew that we could 've gone out of here an hour ago yet you chose to get and stay stuck just cause?"
‌"Oh, hush! You didn't once let me speak, and you enjoyed every second of it too."‌ Collei could only giggle before turning around to do what you told her. It was quick and easy set up. And thankfully, it was as you said.
At long last, you and Tighnari are free from the confines of the vines, and you gave Collei a soft pat on the back as a way to say 'great job!'. She started heading towards the village to report to the other rangers what had happened and you were about to follow when Tighnari grabbed you by the wrist and yanked it.
You felt another hand covering your mouth, and warm breathing on your ear. "Prepare yourself when we get back. I think someone deserves a little punishment for what they did." Tighnari whispered oh so seductively, making you shiver.
He let you go and sent you a satisfied smirk before catching up to Collei to discuss about what happened in the village while he was gone. You were left blushing and flustered, both shocked and excited for Tighnari's 'punishment' for you.
